To anyone wondering about there being two employees other than Tori, not one like I said in past chapters, it'll be explained this chapter.
Disclaimer: I don't own 'VicTORious' or its characters. Just Mark and Melissa.
Tori POV
I walk into work a short moment after Jade left, Mark and the girls behind me.
"Who was that?" Mark asks as I start to get the computer ready for the day.
"My roommate Jade." I answer, afraid of what'll happen with Jade standing up to him, something I know no other girl has done before.
"Why did she lie about her father and everything?" Mark asks as I start to go to get the sweeper to sweep the first floor.
"She didn't." I say, opening the small closet where the cleaning supplies lie, wondering why the two girls, the blonde new, don't do anything to help. "Her father really is Christopher West. I met him a couple years ago." I say, pulling the sweeper over to the plug.
"Why did she say that's she'd make sure I'd lose my job and accuse me of molestation?" Mark asks, stopping me from turning the sweeper on after plugging it in, the other two girls sitting beside the desk.
"Because she talked to my friend Andre and my dad." I tell him, sighing as I turn to face him.
"You know, your father didn't have the right to make me get security cameras." Mark says, stepping a little too close for comfort.
"Actually, he did." I say, stepping back. "You're a business in a populated area known for theft. Add you have female employees, and you're a straight male, the cameras are to make sure you don't try anything on us without consent or anything." I say, stepping back until my back bumps into the wall.
"So I had to get cameras placed at the desk and a few other places? I've never been accused of molesting anyone, and I never will." Mark says, stepping forward, preventing me from walking around him by placing his arms beside my head, keeping less than an inch between us. "And it's not like he can see what's happening now. The cameras don't turn on automatically until we open, which is almost twenty minutes away." He says with a sadistic smirk.
"And how would you prevent me from telling him?" I say, hoping he doesn't sense my fear.
"How will he believe you without proof?" Mark says, too smug in my opinion. "They won't tell anyone. They like keeping their jobs." He says, indicating the other two girls.
"Where'd the blonde come from, anyway?" I ask, clearing my throat, as I stare at the two girls at the counter.
"New hire." Mark says, pushing his body against mine. "See, unlike you, she got the job for her, oral, skills. Too bad I didn't interview you like I did her. I'm sure you have a very talented mouth." He says, grinding the hardness between his legs against my thigh.
"Don't touch me." I say, pushing him off, trying to get away.
"Want this job?" Mark asks, pushing me against the wall.
"Don't. Touch. Her." We hear from behind Mark. Looking over his shoulder, I see a very pissed off Jade, her ice-blue eyes looking darker.
"How'd you get in here?" Mark asks, pushing away from me to face Jade.
"You should really lock your doors until you open. And I overheard what you said about no proof." Jade says, showing us her phone. "Expect a visit from Officer, oh, I mean Detective, Vega soon." She says smugly, walking up and grabbing my arm, guiding me away from Mark. "I got everything from when you asked about the cameras, up until you pushed her against the wall." She says, pulling me away. "Oh, and if you're thinking about firing her, thing about this. She quits, you owe her the pay you owe her, and if you leave L.A., I'll find you and cut your dick off." She says, pulling me outside.
"I thought you left." I says, surprised, looking over my shoulder as the door closes to see a stunned and pissed Mark.
"Had a bad feeling. I just turned the corner and parked, jogged over, and glared at the two bimbos at the front desk when they tried to warn that dickhead I was there." Jade says, leading me to her car.
"How did you know my dad's a detective now? And why would Mark be expecting him soon." I ask, confused.
"We've been talking since you and I became friends." Jade tells me as we get to her car. "And I sent your dad that video I took. We're waiting for your dad so I can laugh at Mark." She says, unlocking her car.
"Wait, you really took a video?" I ask, surprised she actually did take the video and not just say that for Mark.
"Hell yeah." Jade says, starting her car after we climb in and close the doors behind us. "Like I'm taking a risk and do all that without proving it." She says, pulling away and driving around the block, pulling back into the parking lot.
"What am I going to do about a job now? I barely got this one." I ask, my thoughts wild after everything.
"I'll talk to my dad. Maybe he can find something for you. Hell, maybe you can help me out. That job sucks ass." Jade says, shutting off her car and watching the doors.
"So because the job sucks, you want me to take it?" I ask, staring at her.
"I didn't say you'd be doing it alone. I said you'd be doing it with me. The job sucks, but it pays a hell of a lot better than this place, and at least we'll have someone to talk to." Jade says, glancing at me. "And I'd be entertained all day by messing with you." She says, looking back at the door. "Took him long enough." She says after a few minutes of watching the door, barely being able to see Mark and the other two girls, as my dad drives up. Instead of the cop car he drove as an officer, my dad drives up in a solid black car, the police lights in the grill instead of on top of the car.
"Oh, he looks pissed." I say, fearing for what might happen, a thousand possibilities entering my mind.
"Let's go watch the show." Jade says with a smirk, opening her car and pocketing her keys. "Should've brought popcorn." She says, climbing out.
"You talk as if you expected this." I say, following suit.
"If I did, I'd have popcorn." Jade says as we walk to the building, my dad already inside.
"I don't think we should go in there." I say, stopping Jade by grabbing her wrist like she used to do to me in school.
"Why not? I want to see Mark piss himself." Jade says, not pulling her wrist out of my hand, as she turns to face me.
"We might make it worse for me or something. Make himself out to look better by saying we planned all this and that he only said that stuff because of the accusation of him molesting his employees and that you 'just happened' to be there to film it." I say, my thoughts jumping to random, but possible, conclusions.
"What are you talking about?" Jade asks, staring at me. "You can tell by how he said it that he meant it about that girl getting her job by sucking his dick." She tells me, starting to walk to the building.
"THAT LITTLE BITCH DOESN'T KNOW WHAT SHE'S TALKING ABOUT!" We hear Mark yell from inside, rage in his voice. "I didn't touch any of these girls!" Mark yells.
"Oh, damnit." Jade says, sounding like a whiny child, which if it wasn't for the situation, I'd probably laugh at. "We're missing the show." She says, staring at me.
"Let's just wait in your car. Okay?" I beg, starting to pull her towards her car.
"No. No pout. You know there's no defense against that stupid pout." Jade says, looking away from me.
"Come on. If you just wait in your car, you can watch whatever movie you want tonight, no matter how scary and horrifying, and I'll sit right there with you, no complaints." I try, knowing how humorous she finds it when I hide during her movie choices.
"Two movies, and you're not aloud to hide behind a pillow, blanket, your arm, my arm, anything for the first one." Jade says, turning around and heading for her car.
"Only if you don't go in there, and don't leave your car until my dad comes out and either goes to his car, or yours." I say, following, a smile forming on my face.
"Fine. Buy you're buying me coffee on the way home after this." Jade says, unlocking her car as we get near.
"Fine by me." I say, running around her to the passenger side.
A half hour later, after the two of us sitting in her car with the windows down and the radio playing, my dad walks out and pulls out his phone, making a quick call. After hanging up, he heads for Jade's car, causing Jade to shut off the engine and climb out.
"Did he piss himself?" Jade asks before my dad can get within ten feet of her car.
"No?" My dad says, walking up to us.
"Who'd you call?" I ask, amused by Jade's pout.
"The chief. I had to call it in. There's a squad car on the way to take him in. And he was wrong when he said the cameras don't turn on until the store opens. They stay on all day and night, we made sure of that when we had him put them in. Guess he didn't realize that." Dad says, walking up to me and hugging me. "You okay?" He asks with concern.
"I'm fine." I whisper, knowing he's talking about what Mark did before he knew Jade was there. "Thanks to Jade." I say, looking over his shoulder at her.
"I'm glad Jade isn't a very trusting person." Dad says with a slight smile. "Unfortunately, we have to take the girls down to the station too." He says, looking at the building after releasing me from the hug.
"Why?" Jade asks, staring at dad.
"We need them to tell us about anything he tried or did to them." Dad says, not liking it. "I can't imagine they'll like it." He says with a sigh.
"Didn't they say anything while you were in there?" I ask, worried about the blonde who looked easily trickable.
"Fortunately for us, unfortunately for Mark, yeah." Dad says, leaning against Jade's car.
"How so?" Jade asks, sitting on her hood, nodding at me to do the same.
"The blonde, Kelly, told me about her job interview." Dad says with a growl. "I can't believe he made her give him a blowjob to get the job." He says, clenching his fists. "The other girl didn't say anything. Not even her name. She just stared at nothing." He says, sighing and releasing his fists.
"Wish I could help with her name." I say, laying against Jade's windshield, shifting when I feel the windshield wiper against my back. "We never really talked."
"How long until the car gets here?" Jade asks after a minute of us watching the building, seeing the shadows of Mark and the two girls inside.
"Soon. I asked for Adam." Dad says with a small smirk.
"Who?" Jade asks, confused.
"Adam. One of dad's friends on the force. He hates guys like Mark. And I mean hates them more than you hate how whiny the number nine sounds." I say, recalling that particular 'What I Hate' video because I thought it was funny how she hated a number.
"Yeah, don't be surprised if he throws that guy in the car when he gets here. Especially because I sent him the video when I called." Dad says, smiling. "Yeah, he's Tori's godfather, and he's protective."
"Ever wonder why we haven't seen Ryder at school since after he tried to use me for a good grade?" I ask Jade, looking at her.
"Not really. Never liked the guy." Jade says, shrugging her shoulders.
"Well, let's just say Adam found out and got involved." I say, smirking.
"Here he is now." Dad says when a squad car pulls up. A moment later, the car parks and the door opens, revealing a man about the same height of dad, short dirty blonde hair, a few days worth of stubble, and dressed in a police uniform without the hat. "Adam." Dad says, shaking his hand.
"David." Adam says with a deep, gentle voice. "Hey Tori." He says, hugging me. "Who's the Goth?" He asks me when he sees Jade.
"Jade. My friend and roommate." I say, smiling. "We're lucky she didn't recreate 'The Scissoring' on him earlier. I know she wanted to." I say, smirking when Jade glares at me. "How much you wanna bet that if she gets frisked right now, you'd find at least three pairs of scissors on her?" I ask dad, knowing he'll know what I'm talking about.
"Scissors?" Adam asks, staring from me to Jade. "Is there something you're not telling me, Tori?" He asks me, raising a curious eyebrow.
"What does me liking scissors have to de with her being a lesbian?" Jade asks, staring at Adam.
"Jade!?" I yell, staring at her.
"What?" Jade asks, not knowing why I'm staring at her.
"I didn't tell him." I say through clenched teeth.
"At least I don't have to worry about some guy getting you pregnant and having to hide his body." Adam says, shrugging his shoulders. "Now comes the fun part of the job." He says with a smirk, heading for the building.
"Stay here girls. We'll be back." Dad tells us, following Adam.
"Oh, come on. I just want to laugh at him." Jade says, going to follow my dad, stopping when I grab her wrist again.
"Sit." I tell her.
A minute later, Adam walks out with Mark, my former boss in cuffs, and my dad following suit with the two female employees, Kelly looking confused and the other girl looking nervous.
"You need us to meet you there?" Jade asks my dad as my dad opens the back door for the girls to climb in.
"Yeah. We'll need your reports as well." Dad says, closing the door after the girls sit.
"No stopping for coffee." I tell Jade when we go to climb back in her car.
"But the coffee at police stations is like the coffee at hospitals. It sucks." Jade says, starting her car.
"Just drive." I say, shaking my head, forcing thoughts of my ex-boss out of my head.
"Ooh, I love it when you get all dominant." Jade says with a hint of seduction in her tone.
"Are you messing with me?" I ask, staring at her.
"Maybe." Jade says as she follows my dad and Adam.
"Thanks for being there and stopping Mark." I tell her, giving her a thankful smile.
"Welcome." Jade says as she drives, the radio playing softly around us. "And for your information. I have hour scissors on me. One in my right boot, one in the waistband of my pants, one strapped to my bra, and the last one is hidden in my left boot." She tells me as she drives.
"You strapped one to your bra?" I ask, staring at her. "How?" I ask, confused.
"Play your cards right and you'll find out." Jade says with a flirty tone.
"Excuse me?" I ask, staring at her.
That's it for this. Next chapter will be them at the police station.
The character of Adam is based off of the WWE Superstar Edge. I named him after Edge's real name of Adam Copeland. His hair style is based off Edge's when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Updates might be three times a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and either Fridays or Saturdays.
Thank you for reading, and please review.
Blessed Be.
