Chapter Twenty One: Strategy Planning.

"What's wrong?" Pansy demanded as Hermione opened the door to storm off but found them there. Pansy's hand raised ready to knock. As per usual she knew something was wrong, a blessing and a curse.

"Nothing." Hermione sighed.

"Come on." Pansy pushed her towards the kitchenette.

"What was that about?" Blaise asked sitting on the couch as the door swung shut.

"Granger's just being difficult thanks to your girlfriend." Malfoy sighed.

"And why's that?"

"Because you told her the side effects of her denying me and now she's decided she wants to go through with it."

"And the problem is?"

"She's not ready. She tensed when I went near her neck and I know she's only doing this so I won't get sick and I won't let that make her decision for her."

"Sorry, Pans didn't think."

"Well, she should have." Running his hand through his hair Draco sighed, "And last night she saw it all."

"She saw through your glamour, how?"

"I don't know!"

"You don't think your Veela side took it off so she would feel guilty and push her into her decision?"

"Probably. I can't control it so yeah."

"Don't worry, now she thinks she's ready she'll probably be ready soon."

"I just…I just think that because she's willing to rush into this that I'll give in and then she'll hate me for giving in."

"I can't think of what to say because I wasn't in this position."

"Yeah, we know that."

"It was easier." Blaise pointed it out.

"Ha."

"Hey, guess what we did this morning?" Blaise smirked.

"Do I really want to know?" Draco smirked.

"Shut it, anyway, we picked a date."

"For?"

"Our wedding."

"Congratulations man."

"Thanks."

"When?"

"September twentieth."

"Not too long then."

"Nope."

"Who decided-wait let me guess…Pansy." He smirked knowingly.

"Of course. So have you set a date?"

"What?" Draco hung his head, "Oh crap no."

"Well done."

"We've got ages yet anyway."

"Yeah and on September thirtieth the Ministry will just marry you whether you like it or not."

"I bet there are loads of people who have yet to decide."

"Actually nearly everyone has set a date."

"What?"

"Apparently the couples were so completely matched everyone is happy enough to get married."

"Bloody hell."

"Yep."

In the kitchenette with Pansy and Hermione…

"Guess what, we set the date!"

"Oh my gosh, when?"

"Last night, we get married September twentieth."

"Oh I'm so happy for you!" Hermione hugged Pansy.

"Thank you." Then Pansy flicked out her wand and cast a quick silencio before turning to Hermione, "So what's up?"

"Malfoy, I said he could bite me but he won't, apparently I'm not ready because I tensed."

"What does he expect if he's going to bite you? He's such an idiot."

"I know he's being really stupid and stubborn and plain ridiculous about the whole thing!"

"Okay, we need a plan." Pansy mused.

"A plan?"

"Merlin, you're supposed to be the smart one! A plan. To get him to bite you."

"I don't know…he'll cotton on."

"Maybe but by that point we'd better hope he's too late."

"I hope…wait can't Blaise tune into our conversation."

"Crap." She glanced at him, "I'll kill the little twit if he tells Draco."

"Come on." Hermione pulled her out of the kitchenette, "We better watch them."

"Hey." Pansy went straight to Blaise and sat on his lap.

"So what were you girls talking about?" Malfoy asked as Hermione settled in the chair away from the Slytherins.

"Nothing." Hermione smiled quickly, "Did Blaise tell you they're getting married soon?"

"Yeah, twentieth of September."

"So Pansy, have you decided on the dress yet?"

"Yep." She smiled.

"Oh, what's it like?"

"I can't say with these here!"

"Sorry." Hermione laughed.

"But it will be gorgeous."

"Of course it will!"

"I can't wait!"

"I bet it'll be amazing."

"Duh!"

"I love weddings, they make everything better." Hermione laughed and Pansy joined her while the boys shared a look.

"We should head down to breakfast."

"Yeah."

"We'll meet you down there." She gave Malfoy a pointed look before she hugged Hermione, "Seduce him, that's the plan." She whispered before pulling Blaise out of the room.

"I guess I better change then." Malfoy sighed and walked up the stairs.

"Yes, what were you thinking?" She giggled and followed him up, "Have you seen my Potions book?"

"On the shelf." He called as he turned on the shower.

"Thanks."

"I'm coming out!" Malfoy called a while later.

"Right." Hermione waved him off as she read intensely.

"I would have thought you would have gone by now."

"No, I need to see something…"

"What?" He looked over her shoulder as he slipped on his boxers and trousers.

"Just a potion." She snapped it shut and turned to him.

"Evidently." He chuckled and he pulled on his shirt.

"Here." She snagged his tie and circled his neck with it.

"Are you alright?" He asked suspiciously.

"Of course." She shook her hair out satisfied with her tying skills, "Pansy's news just put me in a good mood."

"Really?"

"I told you, I love weddings."

"You know most of our year and the one below have their dates set?"

"No, I didn't." She frowned.

"Yes, apparently this marriage law isn't as wretched as everyone first thought."

"Mmm…" Hermione chewed her lip.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing…"

"Granger?"

"I suddenly feel like something has happened…I can't really explain it."

"Like intuition?"

"Yeah…"

"I'm sure it's nothing."

"I hope so." She mumbled brushing her hair behind her ear.

"Hey, it'll be fine." Malfoy stood in front of her and took her hands in his, "Okay?"

"Yes." She smiled at him.

"Let's go to breakfast then."

"Okay." But she couldn't get rid of the feeling in her gut all day.
