Author's Note: This is my final authors note for this story. Thank you for reading this story for so long. I love you guys so much. I hope you enjoy it. Now for all of the historical references I made without even knowing it.

1) During this time period the country that had the most freedom to do whatever the people wanted was Hungary.

2) In Romania if a woman went to the doctor and the doctor asked if she was pregnant and she answered no. The doctor would demand that she should get pregnant soon.

3) Romania had the least amount of freedom to do whatever they wanted.

4) (this made me almost cry) when Russia took over Prussia it was gone. Prussia was no longer there. It just completely died.

5) any time a revolution started Russia would return with tanks (aka the pipe)

6) Many of these revolutions started in Romania.

Well enjoy the final chapter :).

A few years after the fall of Communism.

The world is finally a safe place again. Russia is no longer trying to take over the rest of the world. No more worries about being punished for the bad deeds that were done. It's been years since she has even thought of that dreaded house. Years since the constant smell of blood and vodka has filled her nose. No constant worry of being punished or watching her friends being punished for something they might not have done.

Since the final days of living in the old house, Hungary has changed her lifestyle immensely. Currently she is outside her house just sitting and staring up at he sky. Thinking about what it was like just a few years ago in her old house. The final days.

Flashback

Russia calls everyone into the living room just as usual when he has something important to say. Hungary takes her place on the couch and stares at him not knowing what to expect. Russia looks around at each of them with a grim look on his face.

"You can go home now." Russia says slowly and calmly. The others look around at each other in more confusion. Mummers start up. Hungary catches only a few words like "serious" and "is it true". Russia stares at them each and leaves the room. Suddenly everyone's face lights up in joy.

"We are free!" Romania exclaims and hugs Bulgaria tightly. Bulgaria returns the hug with a smile. Hungary smiles a both of them and lays her hand on her stomach. She is so close to being due. She no longer had to worry about what her daughter will have to go through at this house.

"We can finally go home now." Hungary whispers and quickly makes her way to her room to pack. While packing she thinks about what it was like first coming here. A new house after her own had been destroyed. The mix feelings of confusion and happiness of being taken in by an old ally. Through the years she felt anger and hatred towards Russia for many reasons. He had killed her long time friend to the point of no return. He had punished her friends for stupid things. His own punishment. She will never truly be able to forgive him, but she can at least try.

With a final exhale she packs up her final clothes and slings the bag over her shoulder. It has been years since she had been able to smile this way. It has been a long journey but they have made it. Walking down that same hallway all those years ago when she first came here now no longer seems so scary. As she makes her way to the front door she turns around and says a final goodbye to the house that kept her captive all those years. Goodbye to a life of pure torture and darkness. Goodbye to the house that everyone lived in fear of. Goodbye to those few moments of happiness and joy. Goodbye to that never ending terror.

Back to the Present

A small tear runs down her face as she remembers all of these things. Through the good times and bad times she always kept strong. Maybe one day she will go back to that house. Maybe.

Her thoughts are interrupted by a small cough of someone trying to get her attention. She looks down and sees two very familiar faces.

"Romania. Bulgaria. What are you two doing here?" Hungary asks with a warm smile. Romania's arm is wrapped loosely around Bulgaria's waist.

"We just wanted to stop by and check up on how you were doing." Romania says with an equally warm smile. A smile that was completely forgotten for many years. A face that is no longer cold or pale from the immense loss of blood.

"I am doing well. I was wondering how you guys were holding up." Hungary comments and looks at the both of them.

"We are doing well too." Bulgaria says and looks around at the house. Searching for something almost. Not finding it he looks back at her with a smile. Hungary opens her mouth to say more but is interrupted by a younger voice behind her.

"Mommy, lunch is ready! Oh do we have company?" The voice calls from the front porch. Hungary turns around to face her with a smile.

"Just talking to some old friends. I will be in in a few minutes." Hungary calls back and turns towards the boys again. "Would you like to come inside and have lunch?" Hungary asks and hears footsteps come up behind her. A small hand finds its way into her own. Romania and Bulgaria both smile and nod.

"Who is this?" Romania asks and crouches down to be eye level with the girl. Up close she looks about seven years old. She has soft brown curls that go down to her shoulders, but the most striking thing are her eyes. A deep red color. It does not look scary, but beautiful like a rose.

"This is Romana, she is my daughter." Hungary says with a smile. "Romana this is Romania, your father." Hungary adds. Romania looks up at Hungary with a slightly shocked face but a smile quickly replaces it.

"It is very nice to meet you Romana." Romania says and holds out his hand for her to shake. Instead of shaking his hand she wraps her arms around his shoulders and hugs him tightly. Romania chuckles and lifts her up so she is in his arms.

"Come on let's go have lunch." Hungary says and holds out her hand to Romania. Romania shifts Romana's weight so he can hold her in just one arm. He wraps his fingers in with Hungary's and looks over at Bulgaria.

"You coming Bubu?" Romania questions with a small frown. Bulgaria smiles and takes Hungary's other hand.

"Would not miss it for the world." Bulgaria says. And with that they make their way to the open house.

A house full of comfort and happiness. No worry about torture or fear. No more cold or running to the store to get more vodka. No constant fear. Someday she might go back to that old house but today is not that day.
