DISCLAIMER: Nope I don't own anything just this story and that is most certainly enough for me

Her feet ached terribly. She had been walking for gods knows how long but she was somewhere that she knew. She had walked quite a distance without shoes and she found herself in Konoha. She had passed the closed ramen shop earlier and she had recognised it. How could she not recognised it, her friends dragged her there a lot of the time, especially Naruto.

It was easy to navigate now, but it was creepy. The streets were covered in a blanket of shadows and only the lights from the tops of the lampposts illuminated the streets and Konoha wasn't exactly an innocent town. Lots of kinds of people loitered around at this time of night. Drug dealers, rapists, murderers sometimes even prostitutes were around in Konoha at such a late time but she was sure she wouldn't encounter them.; the street she was in seemed to nice for that.

It was the typical family neighbourhood. Nice cars in drive ways, identical houses facing each other and a nice smooth tarmac making a road. Her bare feet padded carefully and she turned the corner, into an alleyway. She looked down it carefully; she didn't want to get mixed up in anything unsavoury.

There were people down the street. A homeless man sleeping in a cardboard box next to a dumpster, she could hear a man groaning and could see high heeled shoes sticking out from behind a dumpster. She felt slightly sick. At the back of the alley, against a chain fence two men were doing what looked to be a deal. She turned around and continued down the street without even looking back. No point in going down that alley.

It turned out there wasn't any other main alleys in the street so when she turned the corner of the neighbourhood street she ended up at the main road. She almost grinned and laughed out loud. She recognised this road; it led to a street of shops and a few houses where Ino lived with her parents. She contemplated running but her sore feet advised her not too. She hurried quickly though. She almost collapsed in happiness when she saw the wonderful sign; Yamanaka Flowers.

She turned down the side of the building to the actual houses door. They lived upstairs and at the back of the shop so they had a separate door. With quick hits she knocked on the door. The sound echoed throughout the building and soon she heard the loud creaking of the door opened and a bleary eyed blonde girl was rubbing her eyes.

"What do you waa-" She cut herself short, her eyes wide.

She stared at Sakura in a state of awed shock. A pale hand released the door and Sakura found herself being hugged tightly by her friend. Tears began to fall down Ino's face and Sakura stood awkwardly. She lifted her hand up hesitantly and rubbed the girls back in a soothing manner.

"Don't cry pig, I'm right here."

O/O

She sat on her bed happily, her hands sliding over the un-made bed. It had been a week since she got home and it went by so quickly. Shen spent most of it being questioned, all about her kidnapper and her time. She didn't answer truthfully half the time. She bit her lip at the thought. She couldn't help it, the lies sort of spilled out. She didn't want to hurt Gaara and get him arrested, she just couldn't! Perhaps it was wrong of her to lie for him but she didn't care at the moment, she wasn't supposed to think about him anymore.

After she had speaking with a therapist, something they had advised her to do, she had promised herself not to think about him. It would help she had told herself, she thought if she didn't think about him she wouldn't be reminded about what he said before she left, so she wouldn't be reminded of his cruel words.

She sighed and flopped on to the bed, squirming when she felt something underneath her. She reached under the sheets and pulled it out. It was a wired notepad. Her mother hadn't been in her room so everything was where she left it, including this notepad. She flipped it open and skimmed through the pages. It was generally notes about medical things, something at the time she had been obsessed with and something she wanted to become re-obsessed with.

In the margins there were little doodles so typical of her. She smiled at them and at her messy doctor's handwriting. She placed it onto her bedside table and closed her eyes. She didn't even notice when she fell asleep.

"Sakura, Sakura sweetie?" A soft voice said. She opened her eyes and looked up.

She recoiled slightly in shock; she thought she was still with Gaara when she woke up. She forcefully reminded herself not to even think his name. Her mother was standing at the door, her gold hair shining in the light of the sun.

Her mother sat herself on the edge of the soft bed and Sakura sat up and watched her mother. Her mother gave her a soft smile and placed a hand on Sakura's.

"Listen sweetie, I've decided something. It's doing you no good staying in this city, you walk around like you're a zombie and you flinch ha at odd moments. I know it's only been a week but Iwant to help you as soon a possible. SO, I have decided that we're going to go stay at your grandmother's old house for a bit, you know the one outside of Konoha. It will do you some good, being away from the city life that is." Her mother told her, patting Sakura s hand at the end of her speech.

Sakura nodded slowly and her mother gave her a smile.

"Thank you, mother; I think it would be good for me." Sakura said stiffly.

It felt odd to call her mother mum after such a long time of not seeing her, her mother didn't mind though. Arms wrapped around her and she was pulled into a motherly hug. And so, she sat there, hugging her mother. Sakura smiled into her mother soft shirt. Things would get better now, she knew it.

Thank you again for being such beautiful fabulous people. I'll see you on Wednesday!
