Valyn Alain Malfoy was born in Detroit, Michigan in America, despite being the second cousin of one Lucius Malfoy. She, of course, was an esteemed pureblood, but living in the States, she attended Ilvermorny. However, when her father dies and leaves her orphaned, she's left to her closest family member- Abraxas Malfoy- and transfers to Hogwarts.
