"This is the dumbest-ass story I've ever heard..." I muttered close to Samantha. "How is this possible true? How do I not know you weren't in the deal with her too? What if it was YOUR fault, and Sandra did nothing?" I was on the edge of my breaking point and I wanted to skin myself my own little "Samantha beauty-queen skin" to wear.

Samantha shuddered at my statement. "I know no one will be believe me..." She said.

"No shit,"

She shook her head. "It's true though. I have nothing against you OR your family. I know it might seem like it since Jospeh and I always fight, but after I shot you... I saw a different side of him. And I like him. I like him a lot. I don't hate any of you, and I wouldn't kill any of you. Especially YOUR family. You've both helped a lot."

I smiled at that remark.

"Look- I just need help." She pleaded. "Once we settle somewhere, I need to tell Jospeh about her little plan, and I need you to help me, as if you're my witness or something? Could you?"

I nodded. "Yes. I will." Then I paused. "What are we going to tell Sophie? That her mother didn't make it?"

I didn't know if I trusted Samantha a 100% right now, but I knew I was going to make sure what was TRUELY going on. Going to make sure she wasn't lying or some shit. You'd never know.

"I'll do something about it." Samantha said. "She WILL be crushed. But Sandra can't be trusted." She stood up to get some food we packed away from the store we took over for a couple weeks. "Hungry," she asked.

"No, I'm fine. Thank you." I said. I just sat there, not quite sure what to say or do or what to believe. This is SAMANTHA we're talking about. I wasn't there, I don't know what did happen. The story behind that seems really fake, but then again its for my father's safety. I know this is dumb, but I'm going to believe her anyway. Just for now.

Samantha started sipping at her soup. Michael sat down next to me.

"What were you whispering about?" He leaned in and stared back at Samantha. I shook my head.

"It's none of your business... don't worry about it. We already have enough trouble in our hands as it is." I told him.

"Trouble? What is it? Really, I promise I won't tell anyone about it." He leaned in closer.

"Stop leaning in before I punch you.." I tried not to scream in his face. "And no, I'm not going to tell you. It's personally between me and Jospeh and Samantha. Maybe even Sophie, a little bit. I'll tell you a little bit about it later if you REALLY REALLY care. But not right here."

Michael shrugged. "Alright. Whatever. Stop being so cranky." He playfully punched me on my shoulder and I wanted to slip my leg in front of him to where he was walking so he'd trip, but I thought... 'Eh, what's the use?'

The bump-bump of the RV slowly made me close my eyes and fall into a soft but deep sleep...

I woke up in a tent. My shoulder hurt, but so did my leg. The tent reminded me of the one I slept in for our first night out. I remember it clearly. I got out, and saw Jospeh sitting there, staring at the campfire he lit. "There ya are." He said. "I was waiting for you to wake up." There was sort of a scorn-like-tone in his voice, which frightened me a little bit. "Come here."

He started walking away from the fire and into his personal favorite RV. I followed behind him, slowly. "Dad?" I muttered, a little louder than I had hoped come out, and he stared back at me and shhushed me.

As we walked closer into the RV, I could hear someone trying to scream for help, yet it was all muffled because it was as if someone else was holding them down. It sounded like a girl was getting kidnapped or tortured or something. I stopped halfway through the RV. Jospeh turned around and silently encouraged me to keep walking. I shook my head.

"It's way to quiet in here." I said in my normal voice, which sounded abnormally loud over the quietness.

Jospeh shushed me again and tried to keep me moving.

"SHUT UP YOU LITTLE BITCH!" I heard Samantha whisper-shout at the thing that was struggling to speak. Then Samantha slapped the girl.

I shuddered and stared straight into Jospeh's eyes with fear.

"Get over here." He whispered, with that same frightening tone in his voice. I shook my head and tried to leave, but it was too late as he grabbed my hand and pulled me into the back room of the RV. I was thinking of pulling away or kicking him or something... I just had too many thoughts storming through my mind to do anything right now at this point.

We entered the room and guess who was tied up to a chair, with a huge bruise and blood-shot eyes? She was stuck in a chair, trying to fight back, and on her arm I saw a bite mark. Obviously a zombie bite her.

It was Sandra.

Before I could ask anything, Jospeh pulled out a gun and pointed it to Sandra's head all the while Samantha ripped off the tape they taped to her mouth.

"If you try to scream..." Jospeh said, scornfully, "I will FUCKING shoot. Not even gonna be afraid." He held the trigger, as if he was about to shoot.

"Zane..." Sandra gasped for air. "Zaney... Zane.. you have to trust me..." She coughed up some blood. "Call my baby girl-the-the one you saved... last time.." She kept coughing. "You know, Sophie?"

I nodded.

"Get her for me please.. and save me... I didn't do anything."

I stared at Jospeh.

"DON'T FUCKING TRUST HER, ZANE." He held the gun aiming at her, closer. "IF YOU TRY AND DO SOMETHING I'LL FUCKING KILL HER. Remember that story Samantha told ya about yesterday? It was true. When you fell asleep, Samantha told me everything. About her plan. Then, in a surprise, we saw Sandra from the forest. She made it out of the store ALIVE and she came her to kill us. We could hear her talking to herself before we attacked her and tied her up." He pushed the gun even closer to her head. "Isn't that right, princess?"

"No... PLEASE!" Sandra tried screaming, but immediately stopped once Jospeh rattled the gun closer.

"Guys... she's bite." I told them. "She won't live very long. That's why she's weaker." I pointed to her arm.

Samantha and Jospeh looked down at her left arm and smiled a smug smile. "Eh..." Samantha smirked. "Good."

"Zane..." Sandra cried. Tears filled her eyes and she shuddered with every word she said. "Please...-Please.. don't let-let-let them-em... I want to live.. and see-ee my baby again." She blinked back thousands of tears, yet millions of others slipped down her cheeks. "Please..."

"NO!" Jospeh was shouting now. "DON'T BELIEVE THIS LYING-SCHEMING BITCH FACED LIAR."

"Jospeh!" Samantha tried not shouting. "Do NOT shout. You'll wake up Sophie."

It was too late though. Sophie was already up, looking around for Sandra. She was quite delusional for a little girl. She heard Jospeh screaming, and her name, and she quickly ran up to the RV. I heard her little footsteps entering the room we were in.

She dropped her teddy, it was almost like it was in slow motion, and she gasped at what she saw. Her mouth stayed wide open. She looked over at Jospeh, then me, then Samantha, then her mommy.

"Sophie...-" Samantha tried.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" A huge baby wail screeched out of her mouth. Sophie kicked Jospeh and pushed me aside with all her might. She made me back out a little, but not enough for me to fall. Samantha chased after her, and Jospeh shot his leg when Sophie kicked him. "MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYY!" She cried.

"Ah, god! Jospeh!" I ran up to him and tried to keep him from falling down, but he lost his balance and fell over. "Damn it!" I muttered. I could hear people running inside the RV. The gunshot must've woken everyone up.

Michael stormed in first. I heard him gasp. "What... what? What... what... what.. .what..." He kept repeating the same word like a maniac.

"MICHAEL!" I shouted at him.

He looked up at me, his mouth wide open and it looked like he was gonna pass out. Eventually more of the gang crowded around what was going on, Michael's mother even tried to save Sandra, who was now tied up even more and the chair fell on the floor. Samantha pushed Sophie and Michael's mother away as far as she could, which wasn't far.

"Michael, I need you to hand me a cloth to fix Jospeh's leg, ok?" At first he didn't listen, but then her turned around to find one. He came back in less than a minute and i wrapped the cloth around Jospeh's leg.

"I'm sorry Jospeh, I'll be right back." I whispered to him.

I ran up to free Sandra. I started to untie her, even though I could hear Samantha yelling at me, I ignored her.

"Thank you Zane. God bless you." She told me. I smiled down at her, thinking, 'What ever could be wrong with her? She's super nice. I guess Samantha is just full of crap, eh?'

Samantha pulled me away from Sandra before I could finish untying her. I struggled in Samantha's grip. "GAH JUST LET ME FREE HER!"

"There's no use Zane!" Samantha tried not screaming in my ear. "She tried to kill your father, and she's bite. SHE'S NOT GOING TO LIVE ANY LONGER THAN WE WANT HER TO! JUST LET IT GO!" I stop struggling, but during that, Michael's mother already untied the rest of the rope Sandra was in. Everyone stopped right in their tracks as Sandra pointed the gun at Jospeh, who was still bleeding in case you were wondering.

Sophie ran up to her freed mommy and stared at everyone as if she was ashamed of everybody.

"I WILL SHOOT!" Sandra screamed, the gun still aimed at Jospeh. "I'm not afraid of killing your father, huh Zane?" She looked at me with a sincere look on her face.

Everyone was still silent for a while, until Michael finally broke it by saying, "What... you wanted to kill him this entire time?"

"No. That wasn't set up by me. I didn't even know I still had the gun. I used the shotgun to shoot a couple zombies before we reached the store. I forgot to give the gun to Samantha before-hand, which made Chris die. Samantha made that story up because she thought I was guilty. But oh... bitch... you don't want to know what I'm guilty of. Plenty of things... plenty of SCARY things."

"Sophie..." I whispered quietly. "Don't you understand what your mommy is saying?" I asked.

She shook her head. "No. I trust her completely."

I looked back up at Sandra, she smirked a little and then turned the gun to aim at moi.

(That's french for me by the way...)

Jospeh, who was staring at Sandra the whole time like everyone else, tried standing up to fight Sandra, but he slid back to the ground. "Don't you dare pull the trigger." He said. His leg had finally stopped bleeding, but it was really swollen and had to be stiff or numb. I could see he was reaching in his back pocket for his pistol.

All this time I really hoped no zombies were staggering around this area. I was tired as fuck.

Samantha made her move over to Sandra, so then Sandra tilted the gun to aim at her instead. Samantha stopped in her tracks and slowly walked backwards.

"Sandra... you're bit." She said, trying to stay calm. "In any second now you will turn."

"Wait.. what do you mean turn?" Sophie asked in her innocent, baby voice.

"To a zombie." Samantha let out a rough sigh. "She's not going to live for long. We need to end this now."

I could tell Sophie was still confused, but I knew she knew what Samantha meant when she said, "we need to end this now."

"Dont worry honey," Sandra lied. "THEY ARE LIARS."

"We aren't going to kill you, just let the gun go." Samantha tried again and again.

"YOU ARE SUCH LIARS. TRYING TO KILL ME AND MY DAUGHTER."

"What?"

"YOU JUST WANT TO KILL US BOTH. TO EAT US."

Memories of the St. John's family rushed into my head and i felt like vomiting. "Are you related at all to The St. John family?" I asked quietly, cutting in to their conversation.

Sandra paused a little before answering. "...Yes..." She said. "Brenda and Terry were my cousins. I didn't know much about them... but we were close as kids. As we grew up, I slowly forgot about them." She paused again.

"I heard someone killed Terry."

I looked over at Jospeh, scared.

Jospeh showed no emotion though. He barely reacted to her comment. I knew he was ready to shot if she did something dangerous.

"What.." Michael's mom began. "I'm so confused. Who killed who?"

Sandra paused yet again. "It's a back story for the THREE of us." She glanced at me, Jospeh, and smiled to point out herself. "I guess you did meet em, eh? How were they? Never even knew you knew about them."

"I never thought I would either.." I said. 'Neither did I want to...' I thought to myself.

Sandra stared at us. "But I know who DID kill him." She stared directly at Samantha. "Samantha..."

Samantha was shocked, just as shocked as everyone else. "ME?!" She exclaimed. "WHY ME?"

"I was wondering the same thing when you lied about me trying to kill Jospeh. Pssh... that story was stupid. I'm surprised you were gullible to believe her lies, right Jospeh? Zane?"

I tried not listening to her, even if she made sense. Only a little. Because she didn't ACTUALLY shoot Terry.

"Well, hey, let's not start pointing fingers here." Claire spoke up for once. She was abnormally quiet.

"Yes, thank you Claire. You can't just say someone did something without the information or evidence. You need some proof." Samantha agreed.

"Then why did you think I was trying to kill Jospeh, huh?"

"That was an accident. I thought you were trying to get him because you had the shotgun, like you were planing something, I also knew you were related to the St John family, and I knew someone shot him with an arrow. I know that because Jospeh told me." She was breathing heavily.

I gasped, and looked down at my father, staring up at me with "those eyes". He muttered softly, "you swore..."

"I DON'T BELIEVE YOU LIAR!" Sandra screamed lounder than before.

Then she pulled the trigger.

Samantha was shot. She was dead. Michael ran out of the RV, Claire and Sophie started crying. Sophie cried loudly, Claire, just a little. Jospeh started swearing, and Michael's mother did they same, but she was dead quiet after the bullet hit Samantha. I didn't know how to react. Jospeh sat straight up, and aimed his gun right at Sandra. I felt like vomiting, crying, and punching the living hell out of Sandra, but I just let my dad shot her. Sandra was going to die anyway. Sophie was pale white, and i really wondering if any zombies were going to hear us. Michael ran back inside, stating that he heard zombies and that we all had to leave this RV and run into the other one that was fresh of any bloody bodies.

Michael's mother helped Jospeh stand up and start walking since his leg was really numb. I started crying slightly, but tried not to go overboard. Let me tell you, the blood was not a pretty sight, and it was hard not to cry too much. I walked with Sophie out into the other RV, which thankfully had enough stuff to keep the rest six of us alive for a while. Of course we were going to have to find food at some point in time.

That's pretty much how it all ends though. Samantha's gone, right when I was starting to like her. Whenever or not she was a liar, I would've never thought Sandra was that crazy to kill someone like that.

It's sickening. I just can't believe it.

I wish it was all a dream. I really really really really really do.

And most importantly...

...

I really wish to see my brother again.
