The first thing I want to say is thank you all for all of the AMAZING reviews you've given me on this story. This story currently has the most reviews out of anything I've ever written on this website and that makes me really happy. Thank you so much!

The second thing is that i'm so, so, so, SO sorry that this story has been on such a long stand still. Since I put up chapter 20 I've probably written about 4 other FOP stories and maybe 15 stories about some of everything else. I was completely burnt out of ideas for this one for a long time so I decided to give it a break and I was at a complete loss for inspiration. If you're like me you know you have to be very inspired and in the mood to write, especially a really long story like this. And when I saw the last time I updated this (nearly a year!) I felt bad. I really don't like to keep these kinds of stories unfinished.

Once again, thank you for reading, thank you for reviewing, and thank you for encouraging me to keep going and not giving up on me. Now i'm back finally with a really long chapter that I spent hours today working on. I'm going to make a sincere effort to finish this story before the summer is over.

I love you guys! And with all that being said, enjoy the last few chapters of Cosmo and Wanda's Story.

Insanity

That evening Cosmo and Wanda were in Timmy's room bouncing on a trampoline they had poofed up. They were seeing who could bounce the highest while also trying not to hit their heads on the ceiling. They were also laughing hysterically.

"You want to join us Timmy?" Wanda said.

"Yeah, it's fun!" Cosmo said.

Timmy was sitting on his bed with his head in his hands not looking half as happy as Cosmo and Wanda were. His project was due tomorrow, his parents weren't home yet and knowing them they wouldn't stick around long enough to talk to him. Crocker was making this project 75% of their grade just to spite him. At this point he was going to fail and have to repeat the 5th grade. "No thanks guys."

Wanda jumped off the trampoline and flew over to sit next to him. "Don't give up yet Timmy."

"Yeah, they can't ignore you forever," Cosmo said. He hit his head on the ceiling. "OW!" He jumped off the trampoline as well and sat on the other side of Timmy.

"You really think so?" Timmy said hopefully.

"Of course," Wanda said encouragingly.

"The big parent's convention is tonight…" Cosmo said. Wanda reached over and slapped his arm. "What? I'm just throwing it out there."

"Well until your parents come home, how about we tell you another story?" Wanda said trying to lighten his mood.

"Okay," Timmy said happily.

"Once upon a time there a little girl who fell down a rabbit hole…" Cosmo began.

"Cosmo, not Alice in Wonderland," Timmy said.

Cosmo laughed. "I know, I'm kidding." He looked at Wanda. "What story are we telling honey?"

Wanda thought for a moment. "How about we tell the one where they had you committed for insanity?"

"I remember this like it was yesterday."

It wasn't unknown that during their god parenting career, and throughout Cosmo's life, he had a bad habit of severely screwing things up. From sinking Atlantis, to the three headed dragon in the Bermuda Triangle, the list went on and on. But one day it all just went too far.

Cosmo was long healed from that motorcycle accident. And Wanda was relieved of her irrational panic that he'd die suddenly from some unknown infection or his arm would fall off or something. Soon after they were assigned once again to god child after god child some of which worked out, some didn't.

Now they were assigned to a 15 year old kid in Greece named Artemis and they stayed with her for 6 years. One particular day they were sitting out in the backyard looking up at the passing clouds.

"That one looks like a chariot," Artemis said.

"That one looks like Aphrodite," Cosmo said wistfully. He'd been obsessed with Greek gods and goddesses lately, especially the women. Unfortunately it did not sit well with Wanda and she couldn't take it anymore.

She sat up and glared at him. "Would you stop?!"

Cosmo looked at her confused. "What are you talking about? Stop what?"

"Stop lusting over these goddesses!" she exclaimed angrily. "I don't care how attractive they are, it's annoying! It's like you love them more than me!"

She really was hurt right now. The only woman Cosmo had ever even looked at that way was her (and occasionally a celebrity but he always immediately said she was prettier whenever it was brought up. She felt like she was slipping away from him and he didn't care about her as much as the thought nearly brought her to tears.

Cosmo was totally shocked by her saying this. He sat up. "Wanda, I could never love them more than you. Why would you think that?"

"Because you're always looking at pictures of them, when we went to Mount Olympus last week you were flirting with Hera, and you almost said Athena's name last night when we were in bed!"

"But that doesn't mean I love them."

"It's obvious that you do, right Artemis?" Wanda said.

"That's not true, is it Artemis?" Cosmo said also looking at their god child expectantly.

She didn't really want to come in the middle of their argument, but she had to agree with Wanda. "Maybe just a little bit Cosmo. You were flirting with Hera. I thought Zeus was going to blow your head off last week."

Cosmo looked at Wanda and saw how mad she looked. But behind all of it, he knew how sad she really was. It was weird, but somehow he could feel her emotions sometimes. And right now he could definitely tell that he had really hurt her feelings.

He reached over and held her hands. "I'm really sorry Wanda. I didn't realize how I was making you feel. You're the only woman I could ever love honey. No matter what. I promise."

Wanda couldn't help but smile. They had never been perfect. Sometimes they did hurt each other's feelings. But it was times like these when Cosmo said such sweet things and apologized so sincerely, that she could always forgive him for whatever he had done. "It's okay sweetie."

Artemis smiled. She didn't like to see her god parents argue, but when they made up and said such sweet things to each other like this, she thought it really was adorable. If she had anything in life, she wanted a romance like Cosmo and Wanda had.

She pushed them towards each other. "Kiss and make up now."

Wanda wrapped her arms around Cosmo's neck and they kissed passionately.

"See? That's what you two need to be doing," Artemis said. "Not arguing and lusting over gods and goddesses. They're not even that great anyway." Thunder rumbled in the cloudless sky as it did when someone insulted the gods. "Alright, I'm sorry!"

"Hey, I bet you I can shoot a lightning bolt into the sky like Zeus," Cosmo said.

"I wanna see!" Artemis said excitedly.

Cosmo raised his wand and a green lightning bolt shot out of it and into the sky.

"That's so cool!"

He did it again and they got bigger and stronger.

"Cosmo, maybe you should tone it down a bit," Wanda said worried that something bad would happen.

"It's alright Wanda. I can control it. I'm as awesome as the great and powerful Zeus!" He continued to shoot the lightning bolts but then lost control of them. "Crap!" The electricity ran through everything for miles on.

"Cosmo! Make it stop!" Wanda exclaimed.

Finally he managed to turn it off before everything and everyone got fried. All of their hair was sticking up after the shock. "Sorry guys," Cosmo said.

"It's okay Cosmo," Artemis said as Wanda poofed their hair back to normal.

All of a sudden they heard gasps from behind them. They turned to see three kids peeking around from the side of the house. They were some of the kids who bullied Artemis and the reason why they had been her god parents for the past 6 years.

"Go away!" Artemis said jumping in front of Cosmo and Wanda as they changed into some inconspicuous objects. Artemis's heart was pounding nervously. How much had they seen? She was terrified of losing Cosmo and Wanda.

"Those were fairies!" said one boy.

"No they weren't!"

It was too late. They had seen them. Jorgen appeared and wiped everyone's memory and Cosmo and Wanda were taken back to Fairy World. But several things were unusual.

Once they got there they saw that Fairy World had been completely fried! Everything was burnt and singed and the fairies looked like they had just gotten electrocuted because their hair was sticking straight up.

They looked at it all in surprise.

"Did I do this?" Cosmo said.

Wanda nodded. "I think so." She held his hand. "Don't worry. It was an accident. Everything will be fixed in no time." She sighed. "Poor Artemis though. We should have been more careful."

"We had almost 7 years with her. That was good, right?" Cosmo said looking on the bright side.

"Yeah, you're right. We saw her grow up a little bit at least."

All of a sudden they were grabbed by Jorgen and dragged to Fairy Court. They were taken into the big court room surround by Fairy Council members. The two of them held hands nervously waiting for whatever they had coming to them.

"Cosmo Cosma, you are in Fairy Court convicted of starting a lightning storm at 3:52 p.m today and nearly burning Fairy World to dust. How do you plead?" said the judge.

"Um…not guilty," Cosmo said nervously.

"Ha! Not guilt?! This is the second time you've almost completely destroyed Fairy World and you plead not guilty?!" said someone in the jury.

"Seymour, calm down," said the judge. He cleared his throat. "Cosmo, it is true that this is the second time you have destroyed Fairy World. Something must be done about this."

"Your honor, Cosmo didn't do it on purpose," Wanda said. "It was an accident. He would never…"

"I don't know why you bother to put up with this, Wanda," the judge said. "A bright intelligent young woman like yourself with so much going for you, and you continue to vouch for him."

"I vouch for him because Cosmo really is a good man," Wanda said. "He may make mistakes sometimes but it's not like he intentionally does these things."

"We'll see about that Wanda. Jorgen, read off the list of grievances."

"Sank the city of Atlantis 10 times," Jorgen began reading off of the well prepared list. "Opened up a whirlpool in the Pacific Ocean sinking hundreds of ships. Unleashed a three headed dragon in the Bermuda Triangle that the Fairy Force still cannot tame."

Cosmo chuckled. "Ah Fluffy." Jorgen glared at him. "Sorry."

"Unfroze a barbaric criminal hidden in the forests on earth. And most recently caused the lightning storm that almost reduced Fairy World to dust."

"All of these things lead the court to conclude that Cosmo poses a public threat to Fairy World society," the judge went on. "And if found guilty by today's jury, will face a millennium in Abracatraz's asylum with psychiatric evaluation."

Cosmo and Wanda gasped. He gripped her hand tighter. Both were becoming very, very panicked.

"Mr. Cosma, what do you have to say for yourself?"

"Well I…I can't go to an asylum. I'm not crazy," Cosmo said trying to put into words a good way to get himself out of this. "I didn't do any of these things on purpose or because there's something wrong with me. I swear. It really was just an accident."

"Mmm-hmm," said the judge. "I'll leave the jury to deliberate on that."

Wanda and Cosmo looked at each other worriedly. "I don't get why they're trying to do this to me."

She held his hands. "Just because you've made a few mistakes over the years doesn't mean you're crazy. They're being ridiculous. We've got to do something." Suddenly she thought of something. She poofed over to the jury and they looked at her surprised. "Listen please don't sentence Cosmo to Abracatraz," she pleaded. "He'll never do anything wrong ever again if you don't. He promised…"

Jorgen came over and grabbed her.

"Oh, um, hi Jorgen," she said nervously.

"No trying to influence the jury Wanda or you'll be thrown in jail for contempt of court." He put her back over next to Cosmo.

"What did they say?" Cosmo said.

"I didn't get to finish."

He put his head in his hands.

She hugged him. "Don't worry." She kissed his cheek. "They're not going to do it. They're not that cruel."

Ten minutes later the judge was back. "The jury has made a decision."

Cosmo and Wanda held each other anticipating what the decision would be.

"And they have found Cosmo to be…guilty. Cosmo Cosma, you are hereby sentenced to the fairy asylum in Abracatraz."

And just like that the security snatched her husband away from her. "Wanda!"

"Cosmo!" she cried. She turned to the judge and flew to the bench. "Your honor, you can't do this to him! He'll never hurt anyone again, I promise! I'll do anything. Just don't make him spend 1,000 years in Abracatraz!"

"Anyone who is considered a threat to society must be detained at all costs."

By the emotionless voice she could tell he wouldn't change his mind. She flew out the door to where they were taking Cosmo way. She flew over to him and wrapped her arms around him. "Oh Cosmo!" she cried into his shoulder.

"You'll wait 1,000 years for me, won't you?" he said as choked up as her.

"Baby, I could barely wait 10 years let alone 1,000."

"Time to go Cosmo," said one of the fairies who were taking him away.

"I love you so much snookie," Cosmo said.

"I love you too honey." She had to let go of him. She watched them take her soul mate away from her. Once the door slammed shut she fell to her knees and cried.

For two weeks she was not allowed to see Cosmo. It nearly drove her insane herself. After being with him so long and being so close like they were, and after spending so many years apart, it was so hard to be away from him for very long. She couldn't sleep without him there. When she finally did sleep she dreamed about him and when she woke up she expected him to be there and for all of this to be a dream. But it wasn't. He was still gone. She couldn't see him. And it depressed her.

All of it just wasn't fair. The judge, and the jury, and Jorgen, they were all just cruel for sentencing him to this. Cosmo never did any of these things on purpose. Why couldn't they just see how good he really was? For anyone to say that her sweet Cosmo was a threat to society was ridiculous!

Her mind burned with curiosity, and sometimes anxiety, about what was going on there. She'd been to earth asylum's before. The father of god child they had many years ago was put in an asylum and even a god child they had years after was put in an asylum because everyone thought he was crazy. Needless to say that asylum's on earth were not happy places. They weren't treated right at all and it had saddened her to see what went on. She knew Fairy World was a little bit better. But she was still worried.

One day she flew to the asylum. She had come several times and they wouldn't let her in. But she was determined. They would not keep her husband away from her. Not again. Not for 1,000 years.

Abracatraz was a scary place. It made her nervous just coming towards her. Especially with the sign that said "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here." There were several building surrounding the main jail. On the right was the mental asylum. She went inside to the front desk. "I want to see Cosmo."

"I've told you before, no visitors right now," said the female secretary.

Wanda glared at her. "Listen lady, Cosmo is my husband. You can't keep me away from him forever. He doesn't deserve to be in here, but if he has to stay here, he should be able to at least see his wife! The two of us have been through hell and back and you'd better damn well believe that no one is going to keep us apart for a whole millennium!"

The lady narrowed her eyes at her and they stared each other down for a moment. Finally she gave in and pressed a button. "There's a visitor here for Cosmo."

"No visitors."

"I know that but she's his wife. At least let her in this once."

"Fine."

"Go right through that door," she said to Wanda.

"Thank you." Wanda went through the door and was taken back to Cosmo where he was in a white room in a strait jacket. She went in and bent down next to him. "Cosmo!"

"Wanda!" he exclaimed with a smile on his face.

She hugged him and kissed him over and over again. "Are you okay sweetie?"

"Yeah, I'm fine," he said. "I'm glad you're here honey. I was getting lonely. All of the people here are nuts. Although someone told me that they've been to the future and in 2073 Australia sinks to the bottom of the ocean."

Wanda giggled a bit. "I think they were a little crazy."

"Yeah, that's what I thought too."

She laughed and hugged him again. She was so glad that they were together again. She'd missed his sense of humor. She ran her hand through his hair that looked like it hadn't been combed in a week. "Are they treating you okay?"

He nodded. "Yeah. It's not like on earth. We get free snow cones. I keep trying to tell them I'm not insane but they don't believe me."

"We'll figure out some way to convince them. You're not staying in here for 1,000 years. I won't allow that."

He kissed her lips. "I'm glad I have such an amazing wife." He tried to move his arms. "I just wish I could touch you."

"It's okay." She kissed him again.

Wanda came to see him every day after that. The people who worked at Abracatraz got annoyed with her but she told them off every time they tried to make her leave. Unfortunately she couldn't stay all day. Visiting hours were only from 2:30 to 6. She had seen some of the other lunatics there. Cosmo was definitely not crazy. But she made it more bearable for him. She brought him his favorite candy muffins and sometimes pizza, and some comic books to keep him happy. He was just grateful she was there. If not, he didn't know how he'd get through it.

She was sitting with him one day. He lay on her lap and she ran her fingers through his hair. He looked over at the clock on the wall. "It's almost 6," he said. Six o clock was when visiting hours were over and they wouldn't let Wanda stay longer no matter how mad she got.

"I know," she said. "I'm getting you out of here."

He sat up and looked at her. "For real? Like, seriously out for good?"

She nodded. "Yeah. This place is creepy. I'd rather us be together all day at home."

"You think it's creepy now. You're not her at night. It scares the crap out of me."

She kissed his lips. "And anyway, we haven't made love in so long."

He kissed her again more passionately. "I know." He rested his forehead on hers and ran his hands down her sides. "I've missed your sweet body."

She moaned into his mouth as he kissed her again. He deepened their kiss and she gripped onto him. She loved her husband so much. Sometimes it was so hard to control herself around him. She broke their kiss. "Later Cosmo. Tonight when we're at home I'll give you anything you want."

That sounded vry appealing to him and made him more eager to leave. "So how are we going to do it?"

She told him the plan. Right afterwards, someone came in and told Wanda it was time for her to leave.

Cosmo waited as patiently as he could for her. It seemed like hours before she was back. She had stolen the keys and unlocked the door. He flew over to her and she locked the door behind them. "Let's get out of here as fast as we can."

They moved as quietly as they could through the eerie hallways. They hid around a corner and saw a guard coming through a door. When his back was turned Cosmo flew over and quickly caught it before it closed. If one of them had opened it themselves, an alarm would have gone off. They both went through the door. Once they got over these gates they were free to go home.

Until they saw the head therapist in front of them with his arms crossed.

"Damn it," Cosmo said.

"So close," Wanda said.

"So close but so far," the therapist said. "You thought you were really going to get out of here that easily?"

"We were hoping we would," Cosmo said.

The therapist led them back inside to his office and sat them in chairs across from his desk.

"Sir, you can't make Cosmo stay here any longer," Wanda finally spoke up. "He needs to come home where he belongs."

"She's right," Cosmo said. "I'm not going to destroy Fairy World anymore…at least I'll try not to. I've seen crazy while I was here. I'm not crazy."

The therapist went through some papers. "Cosmo, while you were here we gave you a psychiatric evaluation. I have the results now."

"And what do they say?" Wanda said gripping Cosmo's hand anxiously.

"The results have told us that Cosmo is…stupid."

Wanda rolled her eyes. "Well we know that already. Is that it?"

"We've determined that Cosmo is stupid, but he's not crazy. He's mentally sane enough to be released from the asylum."

Wanda and Cosmo hugged each other tightly. "Yay!"

The therapist smiled. "Now both of you go one home."

"I can't believe they thought you were a lunatic," Timmy said.

"I learned a lot there though," Cosmo said. "I learned that in the future And the earth will give birth to a new planet. And girls will produce cherry Dr. Pepper. And chicken nuggets will carry around AK-47's."

Wanda rolled her eyes. "That's not true."

They heard the front door open and the voices of Timmy's parents. He jumped off the bed. "I have to catch them before they go to that parents convention!" He ran downstairs. "Hey mom, dad, I really need to talk to you."

"Not now son," Mr. Turner said. "Your mother and I are going to the parents convention downtown tonight. It starts in 20 minutes."

"I have dinner on the table for you," Mrs. Turner said. "Vicky will be here any minute now." She kissed his forehead. "Bye Timmy." She and Mr. Turner went towards the front door.

Cosmo and Wanda appeared next to Timmy. He watched his parents open the door. He couldn't let them leave. Why were they always ignoring him? Couldn't they just take a few minutes to talk to their only son every once in a while? "Cosmo, Wanda, I wish my parents were stuck to the couch and they couldn't leave until I have everything I need for my project."

"Now that's what I'm talking about Timmy," Cosmo said. He and Wanda raised their wand's and Mr. and Mrs. Turner were suddenly attached to the couch.

They struggled to get up. "What's going on? We have to leave. We'll miss the convention!" Mrs. Turner said.

Timmy came over to them with a pencil and a notepad and a smug look on his face. "Well since it looks like you're not going anywhere for the next 20 minutes, how about you let me talk to you for my project?"

Cosmo and Wanda sat at the top of the stairs with smiles on their faces. "I guess if your parents are as neglectful as his, this is one way to get their attention," Wanda said.

I hope you enjoyed this as much as the previous chapters. The next chapter will be up as soon as possible.
