Seven busy Navallions paced back and forth between themselves and their equipment. High in the hotel's attic they had transformed the small storage space into a temporary base. The space had been cleared to make room for their plans, a small structure stood around 4 feet tall in the centre of the room. Many a time a Navallion would stalk up to it and press buttons on its metallic structure, like a control panel.

Some of the hunters were currently in deep conversations, a language so old, their tongue was untranslatable. One could only guess that they were arguing by their body movements. The rest of the creatures were working with devices that were scattered around the centre column.

All seven Navallions stopped what they were doing once they heard a call from a fellow Navallion who was standing at the entrance to the attic at the bottom of the stairs. One Navallion replied to it and crawled down the steps to assist it. When they came back up, both were holding an unconscious body. The first one was slung over the hunters shoulder and the others was being dragged by the feet by the Navallion behind. The rest of the Navallions gave a slight smirk at their new capture and carried on with what they were doing as the two Navallions left the unconscious bodies of Jack and The Doctor in the corner of the room.

Not a few minutes later did Jack breath back to life and slowly looked at his surroundings. The Navallions fortunately hadn't heard him wake up. Jack took in the room quite quickly. What shook him most was the unmoving bodies of other guests that sat in other corners of the room. Whether they were dead or alive he didn't know, he only questioned why they were here in the first place.

Jack slowly shifted himself from were he lay after hearing smooth breathing from behind him. When he'd turned around he sighed in relief at the sight of the unconscious Doctor. Jack placed a hand on the side of the Timelord's face "I guess that plan didn't go to well"

"Tell me about it" groaned the Doctor as he emerged from his slumber. After he opened his eyes and looked at he Jack who smiled at him he averted his eyes to what stood behind the Immortal, the Doctor's eyes widened.

"Well this worked out better than I thought!" he exclaimed rather loudly than needed

"Ssh, what do you mean?" asked Jack

"I mean they've brought us right to their centre hub, their main hide out and control operation. We can see what they're up to and how we can put an end to all of this"

"I don't get it, I thought you said they only came for a hunt?"

"They are, but something's up" Then the Doctor noticed the other bodies strewn all over the small room, their must have been about nine or ten, including themselves. "What do they need these bodies for? Trophies? No, some might still be alive like us. Target practice? No, they're too much of a pretentious race for that"

Jack was about to suggest his own theories but the Doctor cut him off "Wait look" The Doctor pointed toward a group of Navallions who had begun to surround the central column whilst another, choose a body of one of the guests at random and dragged him over toward the far end of the room.

The Doctor and Jack watched as one of the Navallions pressed a control on the panel, causing a light to switch on above the unconscious/dead guest. The Doctor and Jack hadn't noticed the part of the roof of the hotel was gone, and had been replaced by a metal structure that differentiated from the wooden attic roof.

From where the small blue light shown from the metal structure, a thin arm began to descend awkwardly towards the man. It was long, slender and grey with what looked to be a sharp object at the end. The men watched from behind the scenes as the end of the arm opened and an even thinner object appeared. A needle and it was inches from the man's neck.

The Doctor tried to jump into action but the immortal held him down

"We've got to help him!" Hissed the Timelord

"Doc we don't even know if he's alive. We can't blow our cover and know it's our only chance to see what they plan to do" Jack slowly began to release his hold on the Doctor who thankfully did not try to get up again.

They continued to watch at the needle paused for a second or two before fiercely plunging itself into the man's neck, causing his body to jerk. They couldn't see what the arm was doing to the man but the Doctor had already figured it out.

"Of course, that's it!" He exclaimed

"What?" asked Jack

"It's sucking up his blood. That arm, its sucking him dry, every ounce of it"

"Why? They're not vampires are they cause they look nothing like the Cullens?"

"No, they're not. They're taking his blood for fuel"

"Fuel? For what?" asked Jack who was having a hard time keeping his voice down

"That structure above the roof, wild guess says that's their ship, and they need fuel for taking off, you see, they're extracting the raw material from his blood, all the negative energy, pain, fear and stress and converting it into fuel. They've probably adopted this from an older species that I've encountered before called the Hervoken. They used the same technique for their ship except they used the entire body and extracted the energy from blood, bones and organs, leaving nothing behind"

"That's a nice image" Jack remarked sarcastically

"Not nice at all, and unless something is done, once this hunt is over they'll plan to suck dry ever person in the hotel, no survivors"

"What do we do?"

"Get out of here for starters" #

But it was unachievable. The moment the Doctor and Jack began to back away towards the stairs, a Navallion came up from behind and ceased them both. The rest of the hunters snarled and growled as both men fought back against the arms that tried to hold them down. Two Navallions descended down onto the Doctor and began to drag him away from Jack and towards the needle.

The man who used to be there had been disposed off and was now being replaced by the struggling Timelord. Jack yelled, kicked and punched and the one Navallion who was holding him down. He watched as two Navallions placed the Doctor down on his stomach and held him down by his arms, legs and head.

The Doctor had also been yelling, but to the creatures, hoping to get through to them, hoping to make a compromise in order to save his life. But they didn't listen. A button was pressed and the needle began to descended for a second time. The fear was building up in Jack's stomach as the needle got closer and closer to the Doctor's neck. The Doctor couldn't move, nor could he see how close he was to death. The needle paused for a second or two before plunging into the Doctor's neck and began to suck him dry.

I decided to leave it on another cliffhanger because that's how I roll. Please review :)

Oh and good luck to anyone who is finding out their exam results like me on thursday :D
