I'm amused that the song is very appropriate for my mood at the time of writing the drabble. (My list of song prompts and themes is mostly of love songs… I'm still trying to get the hang of writing for 'Romance'; "Code of Silence" as it turned out was too short a practice.)

He covered his head with his pillow; he could still smell her perfume on it: Why did this damn war have to happen? What was she doing now? Was she safe?
'… Idiot…' He shouldn't act like this. He knew the Family's safety came above everything else, but 'Damn it… why does it hurt so much…?'
His phone suddenly rang: call from the Tenth.
"… Leave me alone…" He murmured.
