"Rachel, Jacob sit your tails in a chair this minute! Ill deal with you two in a mnute." Billy turned towards Charlie and bella.
"Charlie thank you. Bella are you ok?" billy asked concerned
She was pale, her eyes were red and puffy and she looked sick.
"I just need to sleep. Thank you though billy. Dad, can we go get that ice cream?" she asked
"you go lay down, ill go get it." Charlie told her.
Bella noded and retreated to jacob's bedroom. She didn't look at him.
Charlie gave billy a pat on his shoulder and left to get bella some ice cream. Billy rolled up to his kitchen table and looked at his two children. Not his three children, his two. He sighed, it was times like these he wished sarah was still alive. He missed her dearly .She would have known how to handle this.
"I am tired of you two fighting. Rachel, I love you and im glad your home. But sweetheart you have to understand you left without notice and then you returned without the notice. You and your sister, you both left. So you Rachel, you cant just come home and expect everything to be ok. You have to understand you left with Jacob was nine. He was nine years old when you left him with me. Nine. He stayed here and took responsibility for things that he shouldnrt have had to. I don't know what I would have done if Charlie hadn't been around to help and to keep social services off my behind. But the point is you have missed a lot. And you have a lot of reconnecting to do and you have to accept that your brother is angry. Now, Jacob I understand your anger but if you can forgive bella then you can forgive your sister. Im not saying make excuses but you do need to listen and hear her out but at the end of the day you two are siblings and you only get one family. Weve already lost your mother and rebbecca wont ever come home, so please you two have to find some kind of way to get along. And Rachel, bella and Charlie are apart of this family and if I hear one more word of disrespect from your mouth, I swear to all that's holy I will kick you out. Your brother seventeen years old and he's working full time, for petes sake bella doesnt even live here and I see her adding money to the money jar all the time when she thinks im not looking. Billy sighed and turned to his son, he looked awful. "Son? Talk to me. I cant help you if you bottle everything up."
"I – I am so sick of these leeches. I am so ick of everyone sticking their noses in my business. Whenever I get some moment of peace, its ruined. That doctor vamp, he called isabella. Somehow, he knew she was preagnant. He accused her of sleeping with Edward and that the baby is his." Jacob choked on the words. The digust that ran trough his body made him want to go and scoop her up and run for the hills. "Dad, when I heard those words and the vamp said he had proof and blood test, I shut down and gave up. It felt like I was losing her all over again. I left. I couldn't look at her."
Billy felt a fire. Something in him stirred. He was William billy black jr. and he would not allow his family to be torn apart.
"Jacob. I need you trust me. As your chief, I need you to trust me. Let me handle this."
Jacob went to argue but billy cut him off. "no.I am the chief of this tribe. Bella is apart of this tribe. Let me handle this."
Jacob sighed and nodded. "What else is on your heart. I can tell their something else bothering you?" billy asked

Billy's eye's went huge and he gasped. He quickly rolled closer to Jacob almost running his toes over. Putting his hands on jacob's shoulders, he asked "Where did you bite her son?"

Jacob did as asked and billy swore again.

"im just dizzy son. Can you got get my medication and my insulin kit." Billy told him.
Jacob grabbed the medication and helped his father prick his fingers.
His blood sugar was dangerously low.
"dad. your levels are low." Jacob reprimanded gently "oh, dad. look I know everything has been stressful with Rachel, the pregnancy and the pack but you have to take care of yourself."
"I know son,but take your own advice. You've been working overtime and taking extra patrols and fixing things around the house. I know my disability cheque doesnt bring much and even your overtime doesn't do a lot and I know that we are barley getting by but you cant stress yourlsef out." Billy said
"yeah, dad but that's easier said then done. Im going to be a father in six months and I don't even have a nursery set up. bella and I going to have to commute between houses. And then thiers the pack, whether sam knows it or not he's been giving me more responsibility over the pack and then thiers bella's schooling and her job and the garage and then thiers freaking Rachel and now the leeches. I don't know how much more I can take ad I know bella is just as stressed. How did we get into this situation dad? We used protection, we did everything right but yet here we are. I mean I love her but im terrified and a little pissed. I dont know how much more I can take."
Billy sighed. He understood his son's frustration. The conversation had floated to a silence. The teo men stewing in their own frustrations. However, the tense atmosphere was broken when Charlie swan came storming in with a tub of icecream in hand.
"Charlie whats wrong?" billy asked
"Renee that selfish stupid cow!" Charlie grumbled "She's unexpectedly coming down for thanksgiving and bringing that dumb husband of hers. She ruining bella's plans. Look, this was going to be a surprise but bella was going to have thanksgiving dinner at Doug and alma's restaurant and she wanted you,Jacob, Rachel and paul to come. I, myself was going to invite tiffany and embry. But-"
"Wait? Tiffany as an tiffany call? Your dating!?" Billy inquired.
" things slow. That's all, we haven't settled anything in stone. And now thiers these cullens."
"let me handle it Charlie. Just give me a chance. And we can handle renee later Now ,look its getting late. Jake im ready to go to bed." Billy said as he began to roll to his room.
"ill help you billy. Jacob why don't you go see bella." Charle said
"sure sure, thanks chalrie." Jacob however, did not go to his room. He went outside to confront his sister
