For anon, who requested, "Sunshine and Baby Powder- the return of bad-ass blye."

"Sam and I'll be in the Challenger. Deeks, you take the corner."

Deeks raises his eyebrows. "As a prostitute?"

Callen just looks at him.

It takes a second before the realization dawns. "Seriously? Homeless? Again?"

"You're already mostly there. Messy hair, bloodshot eyes." Sam leans into his space get a better look. "Is that vomit?"

Deeks tugs at his shirt so he can see. It could either be oatmeal or - he sniffs it. Yeah. "It's spit-up, Sam. When it's from a baby you call it spit-up."

Sam huffs. Like his kids never puked.

Deeks swipes at the spot on his shoulder. "Your eyes would be bloodshot too if you'd only slept forty minutes last night."

Sam shakes his head. "Callen's aren't."

"Thirty minutes," Callen supplies cheerily.

"Twenty," Kensi counters as she walks through the door. "In ten different two-minute intervals."

Sam smiles and crosses ops, wrapping her into a big hug. "Welcome back, Kens."

"Thanks, Sam."

When their hug breaks, Callen's there to collect one of his own. "Deeks has been miserable without you."

"That's a lie. I'm charming as ever."

"You're something as ever," Sam says with an eye roll.

Deeks plants a kiss on Kensi's cheek when she makes her way to him. She smells like sunshine and baby powder. "Hello, muffin."

"Hello, dear." She kisses his lips. At his surprise, she explains, "Just getting one in before the fake teeth come out."

He tsks. "You love those. You know you love those."

"I know no such thing."

"I'd take that as a challenge and bring them home to convince you, but there's no way I'm risking rejection if we actually manage to find five whole minutes to -"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa." Callen holds up a hand to stop him. "The end of that sentence is forbidden."

"Don't mind him," Deeks stage-whispers to Kensi as they follow the senior partners out of ops. "Cally's been gone for two weeks on some book tour thing and he hasn't been getting any. He's very sensitive to conversations involving -"

Callen stops on the stairs, 'causing everyone behind him to come to a halt. "Kensi, did you pick up your service weapon?"

She looks at Deeks, who shrugs, before answering. "Yeah, just a minute ago."

"Perfect," Callen says, continuing back on his course. "Shoot your husband with it if he says another word."

"You got it." Kensi smiles a little too gleefully and follows after him.

"So glad you're back, dear," Deeks calls at his departing team. "So glad you're back."
