Chapter Twenty-One: Master of Two Plus One

Aichi's POV

"Why haven't you told anyone that you went to the Nationals before and won it? That's a big deal Aichi" I heard Gouki ask when I pulled up my glove "because I hate Team PSYGuard, I hate PSYGuard Labs, and I can't remember any of it besides being monitored, recorded, as well as punished if I made a mistake" I told him with a glare making him be quiet. "I remember you, you mastered Kagero and Oracle Think Tank when you were only four, Match begin!" I heard the judge say making me wince as we stood the Vanguard.

My starting Unit was, as usual now, Barcgal before Gouki stood Guiding Zombie as he always does. I felt bad for Kamui when MC Mia said that the first match was a Nova Grappler Love Story following with an exciting match between Granblue and Kagero decks.

MC Mia said that with a master of the Kagero and Oracle Think Tank at the age of four competing against the winner of last year's Nationals it's bound to be another exciting match. I drew before riding Little Sage, Marron moving Barcgal to the Rearguard Circle behind Marron.

I activated Barcgal's skill to add Flogal to the back left Rearguard position from my deck ending my turn there. "Why are you so weak compared to when you were fighting with PSYGuard?" Gouki asked me before he drew and rode Dandy Guy, Romario.

He moved Guiding Zombie to the front left positon in the Rearguard with its skill before calling Samurai Spirit to the back left position in the Rearguard calling Rough Seas Banshee to the back middle Rearguard position. He activated Banshee's ability moving her to the Soul because there's a Granblue Unit in the Vanguard Circle.

Gouki supported Guiding Zombie with Samurai Spirit in an attack against Marron before I felt like I was being burned so I either got burn marks or just bruises from that attack. Romario was sent to attack Marron next before my burns or bruises increased and I checked for a Damage Trigger not getting one like with the last check.

"The reason I'm weak compared to back then is because I was supposedly a master of Kagero and Oracle Think Tank not Royal Paladin plus it was eleven years ago" I told Gouki before I drew and activated Barcgal's skill searching my deck for Future Knight, Llew. I activated Llew's Counterblast moving him to the Soul and doing the same with Barcgal and Flogal before I searched for Blaster Blade in my deck Superior Riding him as my Avatar.

I called Knight of Silence, Gallatin to the front left Rearguard position, Wingal to the back left position in the Rearguard, and Little Sage, Marron to the front right position in the Rearguard. I asked Marron to attack the Vanguard which wasn't guarded or intercepted before I asked Blaster Blade to attack Romario.

I checked for a Drive Trigger getting a Heal Trigger healing myself as well as taking one card from the Damage Zone, I gave the power to Gallatin before I saw Gouki check for a Damage Trigger getting a Critical Trigger. Gouki gave the power to Romario before I asked Wingal to support Gallatin in an attack against the Vanguard but it was blocked by Ghostie.

He told me that I've gotten a lot better for someone who claims to not be a master of the Royal Paladins making me shake my head at him because I'm not a master of this deck. Gouki rode Captain Nightmist before he called Ruin Shade and Evil Shade attacking Blaster Blade with Ruin Shade.

He activated her ability putting the top two cards of his deck into the Drop Zone activating Nightmist's skill as well. Gouki told me facing his Undead Pirates again was a big mistake but one I didn't make on purpose but I know I'll win otherwise I need to have a talk with Michael again.

I heard that my sister was worrying as well as Kamui but as long as I'm fighting for others I can win a Match with few difficulties before I heard MC Mia say that Granblue is about to attack the Royal Paladins. I felt like I got the breath knocked out of me and my heart stopped for a second when Ruin Shade attacked with her sword.

I checked for a Damage Trigger getting Solitary Knight, Gancelot who doesn't have a Trigger before Gouki had Evil Shade support Nightmist in an attack against Blaster Blade. It was 4000 stronger than when he said it because he activated Evil Shade's skill giving Nightmist an extra 4000 attack when he put the top two cards of his deck in the Drop Zone.

I felt a pain in my back when Nightmist attacked Blaster Blade in the back with his sword before I heard Kamui tell me I have to win this, I know he's crying from the tone of voice he used though. 'I need to win this, everyone will you help me?' I asked my deck and they said they would because they will go wherever I go, this made me smile before I remembered what Michael said during the Card Shop Tournament after I lost to Kamui.

Your Paladins will follow you anywhere Aichi, they'll even follow your darker side.

I looked over to Gallatin, Wingal, and then Marron, all of them nodding making me smile since I know I can win with them even if they follow Daichi as well. Gouki said that it looked like I was enjoying the beating he was giving me so there was no reason to stop and had Guiding Zombie attack with Samurai Spirit as support.

I guarded the attack with Llew since it's going to be hard on my Paladins and myself as well as my sister if I get any more physical damage without using a Heal Trigger. I drew and rode King of Knights, Alfred before I asked Marron to move to the back right Rearguard and activated Alfred's Counterblast calling Gorgon to the position Marron was in before.

I asked Wingal to support Gallatin in an attack against Nightmist, which wasn't guarded or intercepted so it went through, making Gouki check for a Damage Trigger not getting one. I asked the on duty Paladins to support Alfred in an attack against the Vanguard while I checked the Twin Drive not getting a Trigger.

Gouki did a Damage Check getting a Heal Trigger before telling me the pirates are the lucky ones today which is true because I still feel the effects of Ruin Shade's attack on Blaster Blade. He healed one point of damage and gave the 5000 power to Nightmist before I asked Marron to support Gorgon in an attack against the Vanguard.

Gouki guarded with Nightmist nullifying the attack before I ended my turn and heard MC Mia say that this was the most exciting Match he's seen in his life before I heard Gouki tell me that I'm not playing at the level needed to go to the Nationals making me nod. He told me that he's going to show me the true power of his undead pirate crew before calling Knight Spirit and activating Spirit Exceed's skill from the Drop Zone.

Gouki moved Samurai Spirit and Knight Spirit to the Soul, because he has a Grade 2 Vanguard Spirit Exceed moves to the Vanguard Circle as a Superior Ride. "I do remember that Gouki so I wasn't surprised by it" I told him when he said he hoped that I didn't think Captain Nightmist was the only one I needed to worry about being resurrected.

Gouki moved Guiding Zombie to the back row before calling another Spirit Exceed to where Guiding Zombie used to be. I heard Kamui worry as well as my sister and the others which made me sigh.
