"Lets go Minnie!"

"Dranzer! Attack!"

"Wow folks, this is incredible!" DJ shouted. "Look at them go!"

Kat huffed as she bent down and rested her hands on her knees for a moment. She was dripping with sweat from pure exhaustion. It had been a long and hard battle.

"Ready to give up yet Kat?" Kai grinned.

Kat scoffed. "Never Kai. I'm more then capable of taking you down."

"You tell him Kitty!" Julia cheered from behind Kat.

Kat had joined F-Dynasty two years ago as they were in desperate need of another blader and Kat was more then ready to start blading competitively and travel the world. In response to that, Kai had gone back to the Blitzkrieg Boys, Ray to White Tiger X and Max to the PBB All Starz. Tyson had taken Daichi and Kenny again to form BBA Revolution and had even picked up a former Abbey student, James Elliot who had had a hard time fitting in with the American family he had been assigned to. Kat had taken him in when they were all still living in the Granger Dojo and James had quickly attached himself to Tyson to everyone's surprise. He was a strong and powerful blader and Kenny had taught him a bit about blade mechanics so that James could focus himself into working on something. Kiki had bonded herself permanently to Kat's side, and so had followed Kat to F-Dynasty and into Raul and Julia's open arms. They were more then willing to make her a part of the family as well and Kiki was slowly breaking out of her shell and becoming more independent.

Kat laughed. "Will do Jules."

Tala rolled his eyes. "Don't listen to those girls Kai. All talk and no bite."

"Watch it Valkov!" Julia growled. "Or you'll be sleeping alone tonight!"

Tala paled as Bryan, Spencer and Ian laughed at him.

Kai snorted as Kat rolled her eyes.

"Nice Jules." Kat offered up.

"Enough talk, right Kat?" Kai said, standing up straight, his girlfriend mirroring him.

"Agreed." Kat smirked and she whipped her hand out to the side. "Minnie! Radiance Strike!" Dominique soared out of her blade, bathed in light.

Kai grinned. "Good. Dranzer! Inferno Assault!" Dranzer mirrored his mate as he became bathed in fire.

"ATTACK!" Kat and Kai shouted in harmony. The two phoenixes charged from opposite ends of the terrain dish and met in the middle with a resounded 'BANG' and a shockwave that caused everyone to brace themselves.

"Awesome." Tyson grinned from his seat behind F-Dynasty. His team and Max's nodded in agreement from their seats around him.

As the dust settled, Kat lowered her arms which were now littered with scrapes and minor burns from Kai's attack.

"And the hometown favorites, F-Dynasty wins their first World Championship!" DJ cheered as the crowd roared.

Kat smiled and went down to her knees as the dust gave way to a weakly spinning Dominique and a downed Dranzer. As she came to her knees, Dominique's remaining energy vanished and she too fell over.

"Awesome battle Kat!" Raul cheered as he was at her side, helping her back to her feet.

"Yay Kitty!" Julia smiled, wrapping her arms around her best friend.

"Kat." Kiki smiled, coming up to her role model and Kat immediately hugged the young girl. "You were amazing Kat."

"As were you against Bryan, Kiki." Kat smiled softly. She looked up over the girl's shoulder to see Kai picking up Dranzer and Dominique. "Come on guys, lets head back to the locker room."

"Oh, so you can get some private time with your boy?" Julia teased, wiggling her eyebrows up and down.

"And you don't?" Kat teased right back, letting go of Kiki.

Julia smirked. "Oh, I didn't deny it."

Kat and Julia laughed as they went down the tunnel, towards the locker rooms. Kat felt the Blitzkrieg Boys following them as she saw the other teams round the corner, heading to F-Dynasty's locker room to congratulate them on their first World Championship win.

Kat hung back, taking hugs from the guys as they past her, receiving a kiss on the cheek from Tala as he smiled and then grabbed Julia from behind, swinging her around as her peals of laughter rang out.

She turned around as Kai came up behind her. "Nice match Kai. I believe that evens out the scoreboard now."

Kai chuckled, holding Dominique up in front of her as she took it and place her back in her case. "I believe it does." He said lowly, making Kat shiver.

She smiled as she took a step forward, pressing her body up against his, his hands coming to her hips, holding her there. She reached up and placed her hand behind his neck, fingers playing in his hair. "You know, with all the training to get here, we haven't had much time alone, especially since we aren't rooming together anymore." She smiled coyly, tracing circles on his collarbone with her free hand.

"Mmmmm, is that so?" Kai smirked as she trailed her hand up his chest and over his shoulder, linking it with her other hand. "Well, I think we need to make up for some lost time, don't you think so?"

"Mmm." Kat smirked as she pulled herself up on her tipi toes to reach his face. "I most definitely think so." She leaned up and captured his lips with hers, as his hand ran up her back, pulling her closer to him.

Kat suddenly felt her feet leave the floor as her body rose up in the air a little by little. Kat broke off to look at Kai, eyes wide. "Are you doing this on purpose?"

Kai grinned as he floated her up in the air just enough so that they were finally eye level. "There, makes it easier now, don't you think? You really do need to grow a couple of inches, this whole bending down thing is straining my neck." He teased.

Kat scoffed and socked him in the chest. "Hey, don't hate on my height. I can't change that."

Kat groaned under her fist, but starting laughing right away. "Oh I know, but…" Kai leaned forward and captured her lips, wrapping his arms around her again, pulling her flush against his body. "This is so much easier."

Kat rolled her eyes and let it go for now, in favor of kissing him back.

"Hey, lovebirds. Come and join society for a moment huh?" Ray chuckled.

"Yea, you have all night." Tala teased as Julia whacked him on the head. "Oi! What was that for?"

"Honestly, not one romantic bone in your body." Julia shook her head, disappointed. "And you too!" She accused Ray. Ray held up his hands. "I know you're a romantic, leave them alone."

"How do you know that?" Ray asked warily.

Julia smirked as Kai let Kat down. "Oh you naive little boys. You three are best friends. You honestly don't think that Riah, Kat and I aren't just as close as you three are?"

Mariah smiled and put her hands behind her back as Kai and Kat made their way over to the four of them. "Naive indeed Jules."

Kai raised an eyebrow, glancing down at Kat. "What is she talking about Kat?"

"Oh nothing sweetie." Kat grinned, patting his chest lightly, sharing a look with Mariah and Julia.

The guys' gazes meet over their girlfriend's heads and their eyes widened.

"Oh no you don't…" Tala groaned first.

"What do you think girl talk is?" Kat giggled.

Ray groaned and buried his face in his hand. "I don't know if I should be thankful they are such good friends, or horrified that they share that stuff."

"Ummm horrified?" Tala yelped. "That's sacred stuff!" He ran over and grabbed Tyson and Max by their collars, Hilary and Marium following, raising their eyebrows in interest as their boyfriends were being dragged by the russian blader.

"Mind explaining to me what you are doing to my boyfriend Tala?" Marium growled dangerously.

"Ok, please tell our crazy girlfriends that you do NOT share things with each other about what goes on behind closed doors." Tala said seriously.

"What?" Hilary asked, confused.

Mariah grinned. "The sacred stuff, as Tala so eloquently puts it."

Marium raised an eyebrow. "What-Oh….." She smirked, sharing a look with Hilary. Hilary had started laughing almost immediately, getting what Tala was talking about.

Max and Tyson looked at each other and paled.

"Hils, please tell me you don't." Tyson begged his girl.

Hilary controlled her laughter to giggles as she and Marium laughed together. "You guys are best friends. You really think Mar and I aren't as close as well?"

"That's what I told them!" Julia laughed. "You boys are silly to think that your secrets are secrets in this group."

The five guys shared looks of horrification.

Kat giggled as Kai paled to dramatic heights. "Relax dear. No one judges you sweetie." She said, wrapping her arms around his waist.

Out of habit and instinct, Kai wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close, but his mind was still thinking about what Julia and Mariah could know.

'Relax sweetie. No details are shared. I usually just tell them about how sweet and kind you are and about that one really romantic dinner that you took me to in London two weeks ago. And visa-versa.' Kat reassured him as she sank into his side with a sigh.

Kai sighed in relief. 'Good. That makes me feel a lot better.' Kai smiled and placed a kiss in her hair.

"Now boys and girls, how about we head to the park for some relaxation time?" Kat asked with a smile. Everyone agreed and Tala and Ray sent Kai a smirk as he nodded.

Once they got to the park, the bladers fanned out and started playing like little kids on the playground.

Kat laughed as the twins fought for the tire swing and Lee and Mariah tried to beat each other on the swings.

"They are so carefree." Kat said out loud, knowing Kai was coming up behind her.

"It's because we are all finally free. No more thinking about Boris, or Voltaire, or Zagart plotting something in the shadows. We can truly be just teenagers." Kai smiled as he looked out over his friends. Even James and Kiki were enjoying themselves as James tried to best Tyson at arm wrestling and Kiki cheered on Julia in her and Raul's fight.

"We are free, aren't we?" Kat smiled softly.

"We are." Kai nodded, taking her hand and pulling her to a beautiful flower garden that the city of Barcelona kept up, that overlooked the Mediterranean Sea. "Our future is wide open now. We are free to choose our own paths."

"We are." Kat agreed. She allowed Kai to take her to the middle of the flower garden. "What's going on Kai?" She wasn't stupid. He had purposefully pulled her away from prying eyes.

Kai smiled. "Can't fool you, huh?" He then looked at her directly in the eyes. "For so long, I thought I didn't have a future. Then I was free, but never felt whole. When I met you, I felt alive again. You made me want to live, not just survive. And then craziness ensues as it always does around us, and we realized that we had been together longer then either one of us thought. These past two years have been amazing. Finally free and with you? It's more then I could ever ask for." Kai said softly, cupping her cheek in his hand.

"K-Kai?" Kat stuttered. Her heart was racing and she couldn't think straight. Was he really doing what she though he was doing?

"Kit-Kat." Kai smiled her nickname. "I love you. More then you could ever comprehend. More then I think I myself can understand. You are my light, in all senses of the word. Your smiles brighten my day, you are what I look forward to at the end of each day. You know me better then anyone else, even Tala and Ray. Probably because you can literally read my mind." Kai chuckled as Kat started tearing, but she smiled at the telepathy joke. "But it's not just you reading my mind, you really understand me, and you always listen. I love you Kit-Kat and I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Kat's eyes widen as he took her left hand in his and kneeled down in front of her. "Oh my god….." She whispered.

Kai smiled up at her, pulling out a red velvet box from his pocket. "Katerina Ivanov, will you marry me?" He flipped the box open to reveal a simple gold band with one long feather engraved into it. Half the feather was red and the other half was white.

"Oh my god." She gasped again, covering her mouth with her right hand. She suddenly flashed back to the moment she realized that she couldn't have Kai leave her life and they admitted their feelings for each other. There was no question about it. "Y-Yes." She stuttered as tears started going down her cheeks. "Of course Kai. How's that even a question?"

Kai smiled, tears coming to his own eyes. He slipped on the ring and stood up, picking up Kat along the way and spinning her around.

Kat laughed out loud as she grabbed Kai's face in her hands and kissed the living daylights out of him.

Kai set her down, looking deep into her eyes. "I love you Kit-Kat."

"And I love you Kai."

"Finally!" Tala laughed as he ran out from behind his cover, followed by Spencer, Bryan, Ian, Max, Tyson, Ray, Mariah, Marium, Hilary and Julia.

"Eek!" Julia squealed as she sprinted ahead and caught Kat in a big hug, tearing her away from Kai in the process. "You guys are soooooo cute!"

Kat rolled her eyes. "Did you all know about this?" She asked as Kai hugged Tala and Ray.

"Inkling." Bryan smirked.

"But only Tal and I knew for sure." Ray laughed as he pried Julia off of her and hugged her himself.

"You sly sons of bitches." Kat smirked and Mariah joined in on the hug.

Tala and Ray laughed as the guys went around and hugged the newly engaged couple.

Marium and Hilary sandwiched hugged her and Kat laughed as she felt Kai wrap his arms around her and pull her back into his arms.

"Well, are we going to celebrate or not!" Tala smiled as he wrapped an arm around Julia's shoulder.

"Lets go!" Max grinned.

Kat shook her head, laughing as her friends all agreed and ran away to go have fun. "They're crazy!"

Kat chuckled. "That they are." Then he earned a surprise squeak from Kat as he bent over and picked her up bridle style.

Kat smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling herself closer to his face as she rested her forehead on his. "A little early, aren't we Mr Hiwatari?"

"Not so Mrs Future-Hiwatari. I plan on sealing the deal asap." Kai grinned, stealing a short kiss.

"Mmmm sounds good to me. The quicker the better." Kat grinned, really kissing him this time.

Kai closed his eyes in bliss. "Now THAT was a kiss."

"Indeed and maybe tonight, I can kiss you again and maybe some other things will happen." Kat grinned.

Kai felt his body reacting and growled in impatience. "Oh I look forward to that."

"And I look forward to spending the rest of my life with you." Kat smiled sweetly.

"As do I Kit-Kat. As do I." And they sealed the deal with another kiss.
