CHAPTER 21
Poll up and as always please review.
All the genin quickly became quiet and did as the man told them to. once the genin had been seated around the room the person spoke again. "I will be your proctor for this exam I am Ibiki Morino, I will now explain the rules of this exam while the papers are being passed out." Ibiki said.
"as you may have guessed from the paper this will be a written test and these are the rules that apply. There are 10 questions to this test the first nine are being passed out and the 10th will be given after 45 minutes.
"for every question you miss you lose a point from your total ten if you are caught cheating you will lose two points, if you or a teammates points reach zero you all fail." Ibiki said giving out his rules.
Naruto looked around and noticed that to his right was Yugito and practically everyone else he knew was spread out far away from him. Ibiki then looked to the clock before he turned to the genin. "begin." he said and everyone flipped over their papers.
Kurenai was walking to the jounin waiting area where her fellow jounin senseis that had a team in the exam would be. When she walked in she was surprised to see quite a few jounin sitting next to one another that were from different countries.
The most notable being a rather large dark man who had a Kumo headband, eight blades on his back, and a bull tattoo on his cheek. The other more noticeable one was a really tall man in red armor with a Iwa headband and his only visible feature being his eyes.
Two other jounin where with the two, and one see recognized as Zabuza. The one was a jounin from Suna, but she couldn't tell much about him as half of his face was covered.
Kurenai was most surprised when she saw Kakashi Asuma and Guy sitting amongst the group of mixed jounin. She was even more surprised when they started talking about their teams and the exam. Kurenai then walked up to the group and took a seat next to Anko who also appeared to be there.
"I almost feel bad for the teams as most will be returning within the hour." Kakashi said. Kurenai was slightly surprised by that. "what do you mean Kakashi?" Kurenai asked. "haven't you heard Kurenai the first exam proctor this year is Ibiki Morino the sadist." Kakashi said.
"Sadist?" Kurenai asked. "I thought I told you about him Nai-chan he is my boss at the T&I department." Anko said. Kurenai paled a little bit. "I honestly don't know if I expect my genin to come back or not." Asuma said.
"unlike Kakashi my eternal rival and you Asuma-san I know my team will pass." Guy said in his typical energetic voice. "ano not that I mean to be rude but I only know Zabuza-san who are all of you?" Kurenai asked the other jounin.
"I remember now your that gakis sensei, that damned Naruto, I still owe him for saving my skin." Zabuza said. "you know Naruto." Baki, Bee, Han, Kakashi, Asuma, and Guy all but shouted to Zabuza. Zabuza was slightly surprised before he smirked.
"ya I know that gaki he basically saved mine and my daughters lives. Although I do still want a rematch." Zabuza said. Han then chuckled. "he truly is amazing isn't he." Han said aloud. The other jounin then nodded their heads in agreement.
"ano how do all of you know Naruto-kun?" Kurenai asked. Baki was the first to look at Kurenai. "so you're Naruto-kuns sensei, its hard trying to teach him isn't it Kurenai-san? As to your question I was his sensei when he was in Suna." Baki said.
Next Han put his hand out to shake Kurenai's hand. Kurenai took the handshake as Han spoke. "Naruto-kun is like a brother to me it is good to know he has a capable sensei to help him. He helped me to find my purpose when he was in Iwa." Han said.
Next in line was Bee and he stuck his hand out to fist bump Kurenai. Kurenai placed her hand to Bee's in the motion he wanted. Bee's eyes then widened as Kurenai's fist bumped his. Bee then smiled. "you and Mr. nine are close I can feel It in your heart." Bee said.
"I am Killer Bee I help train Naruto to use his jinchuriki powers when he was in Kumo." Bee said. Kurenai then looked at him funny. "what do you mean you can feel it in my heart?" Kurenai questioned.
Bee then smiled. "when our fists bumped I read your heart and I can tell that Mr. nine holds a special place in there." Bee said. Kurenai blushed slightly before she nodded.
When Naruto flipped over his test he took a closer look at it before setting it down. 'these questions are far above what a normal genin would be able to answer.' Naruto then looked around and smirked at what he saw.
The test had only started ten minutes ago and Shikamaru was sleeping while his other friends where cheating without getting caught. 'so that is your test, information gathering Ibiki-san.' Naruto thought.
Naruto then suddenly smirked as he had a devious plan. Ibiki was watching the genin to catch any cheating badly, and he smiled to himself. 'the genin this year are good a lot might actually have what it takes.' Ibiki thought.
He then looked over and saw the smirk on Naruto's face. 'that's the Namikaze I wonder what he is planning that grin is interesting.' Ibiki thought a smirk of his own making its way to his face.
Naruto waited until Yugito had finished her test before he set his plan in motion. Naruto slid his chair back so that his legs were no longer under the table and then turned sideways in his chair. Naruto then picked Yugito up and placed her in his lap making her let out a small squeak before he placed his lips to hers.
Yugito blushed heavily as this was happening. Sure a short while ago she had straddled him and kissed him in front of a few people, but she hadn't seen him in SO long, she just NEEDED a kiss from him. But now was different, they were in the middle of a test and a couple hundred genin were watching them.
After a minute or so Yugito had calmed down and got herself comfortable in Naruto's lap and started to kiss him back. Naruto noticed that Yugito had calmed down and was kissing back, so he decided to be a little adventurous and lightly licked Yugito's bottom lip.
Yugito couldn't stop the heavy blush or moan she let out as she opened her mouth for Naruto to explore with his tongue. Ibiki's smirk then grew larger from where he was. 'damn gaki that is indeed clever. Not only do you get to waste time and kiss your girlfriend, but at the same time that is high mental torture on the others.' Ibiki thought.
The 45 minutes that were given for the first test had passed fast for Naruto as he and Yugito had continued to make out with one another.
From the original 96 teams that had started only about 40 remained for the tenth question. Naruto and Yugito had only broken apart from one another when Ibiki called the 45 minute time limit for the first nine questions.
"we will now begin the 10th question, listen carefully because there are a few additional rules that go with this question. First rule you get to choose whether or not you wish to take this question." Ibiki said making a pause.
Kiba was the first to say something. "that's a stupid rule of course we would all take the question then." Kiba said arrogantly. But that quickly changed when Ibiki smirked.
"that brings us to rule two if you choose to take the question and get it wrong you can never again take the chunin exams, you will be a genin forever." Ibiki grinning from one ear to another.
Temari was the first to stand up. "that can't be a rule there are several people here who have taken this exam several times!" Temari said with outrage. Many more murmurs and whispers broke out now.
If possible Ibiki's grin got larger. "I feel bad for you then, since I am the proctor for this exam this year, my word is law, if I say you can't ever take the chunin exams again then you can't. Now if you wish to leave and take the exams at a later time raise your hand." Ibiki said.
The room was silent for a bit while people quietly talked and the tension rose. One person unable to take it raised his hand and asked to quit apologizing to his team as they had failed. Because the tension had been broken a flurry of hands went up and people were failed left and right.
Naruto lightly growled at all the people that had failed before he raised his hand. To say everyone in the room was shocked would be an understatement, but as quickly as their shock came it rose. Naruto quickly slammed his hand down onto the table and shattered it leaving a large hole in the desk.
"I don't care what you say about not taking the exams again, I will just be the first even genin to become Hokage, no matter what you say I will not give up, give me your worst." Naruto said grinning to Ibiki.
Suddenly most of the remaining hands that were up lowered having found new resolve. 'so you had a perfect read of the atmosphere and only wanted more competition, you are indeed interesting Namikaze.' Ibiki thought.
"what a very interesting speech I only hope you believe that because you have no hope of passing the second exam, now I will ask again if anyone wishes to leave." Ibiki said. Naruto smirked. "give me your worse." Naruto said.
No one's hand rose as Ibiki asked once more. 'I see no matter what else I say they will not waver, you make a good leader Namikaze.' "very well as none of you remaining wish to leave I have only one thing to say to all of you," Ibiki paused for effect as people leaned forward. "you all pass." Ibiki said.
Kiba stood up in outrage. "what do you mean we passed what about the tenth question!" he shouted. Ibiki chuckled slightly. "well you could say that was the tenth question. To take it or not, in either situation you were given hopeless rules.
"when on a mission do you simple refuse to do something because the dangers are unknown or because someone could get hurt." Ibiki reached up and untied his bandana covering his head. It revealed a head full of scars and torture marks.
"the answer is NO, a chunin is a leader ninja and they must make these choices all the time, being a chunin means you are responsible and those that are not ready failed." Ibiki said. Sakura then stood up. "then what about the first nine questions were they pointless?" she asked.
"no they also served their purpose, a ninja must also gather information sometimes and that was the purpose of this test. We had two chunin sit ins who had all the answers and you had to cheat to get them." Ibiki said.
Before more could be said a blur was seen before a ball of blue flew in and shattered one of the windows. The ball then started to unravel revealing a banner with none other than Anko Mitarashi standing in front of it.
"alright you losers don't get your hope up yet, I am the super sexy and taken Anko Mitarashi second exam proctor." Anko said before scanning the room. "45, 60, 72, 78, 78 genin Ibiki you let 26 teams pass, you must be getting soft." Anko said half serious.
"you wish Anko we just have good genin this year." Ibiki said with a smirk. " good or not, when I am done with them, there will be less than half left." Anko said with a sadistic smile. That smile dropped though when Naruto waved to her.
"hi Anko-chan, how is Itachi?" Naruto asked with a smile. "damn it gaki I'm supposed to be scary not friendly, but Itachi is fine if a little tired." Anko said with a smirk and slight blush. Naruto's chuckle broke Anko's train of thought and she smiled that sadistic smile again.
"meet me at training field 44 in 15 minutes or you all fail." Anko said before she jumped out the window she came in from. Naruto then stood up bringing Yugito with him before he set her down. "well we better get going." Naruto said as he left for training ground 44.
