Anyway, do enjoy your chapter. Please leave reviews~!

Kagome sighed as she fell into a plush red chair with a couple of shopping bags at her feet. Hey were filled with nice jewelry and shoes. Toga had dragged her throughout Tokyo, trying to get all she needed for the Kaze Christmas party.

The bookworm had never felt so tired from shopping. She never got to shop this much before she met the Taisho family. She would have to buy her own clothes but her mother never let her get too much, unlike her sister. Whenever Kikyo had to do any studies for her fashion classes, her mother would allow her to buy all the clothing and accessories she needed. Another unfair treatment... Not that Kagome cared, Kikyo was a big designer now so the hard work and money went to good use.

Kagome couldn't complain too much, she had clothes and that's what was important. Though they weren't the nice sweaters and skirts she had seen in the stores where Kikyo would be able to get her clothes, she did like what she had. The graphic tee shirts and the comfy cardigans, jeans and boots were all great and super comfortable.

She eyed the beautiful dresses around her and felt her mind swim with images of herself wearing each one. Some had light and innocent colors while others were dark and seductive, some had long skirts while others were short. Kagome watched as the colors varied from luscious reds and purples and subtle greens and blues.

She sighed as she felt herself sink into the plush chair. Though it was tiring, Kagome did enjoy the feeling of shopping with Toga. She would sometimes shop with Sango or even Koga, but having someone as kind and fatherly as Toga helping her with the shopping was a feeling she was beginning to love. She never got to truly shop or even hang out with anyone close to a father.

"Ka-go-me-chan!" called Toga as he made his way towards the sinking girl. Her brown eyes opened to see the tall man with a very feminine looking male beside him. He grinned down at her and her out his hand, "This is a good friend of mine, meet Jakotsu."

Kagome blinked at the male and eyes him. Jakotsu was a thin male with lovely black hair tied in a messy bun with a purple hair clip. His skin was pale but he had a smooth complexion. He had two green fang-like marks on his cheeks and his small lips were painted red. His eyes were dark but held a kind glow as he too eyed the young girl before him.

His outdo consisted of a crisp white shirt that held his name tag on the black silk vest over it. His pants were black and wrinkle free and his shoes were shining and lacking any scrapes. A true professional most likely...

"Oh Tai-kun! You never told me she would be so lovely! I can't stand it!" Jakotsu squealed as his eyes brightened. He eagerly jumped up a little in glee as he pulled Kagome's hands up, resultin in her entire body to rise out of the plush cushions. "Oh how precious! She's absolutely gorgeous!" he said happily as he pat her hands. "And your outfit is absolutely adorable! You'll have to let me borrow it~!" He winked at her and gave her a big smile.

Kagome felt her cheeks redden at the compliments and her eyes fell to her shoes. Though she felt flushed, she did feel comfortable and seemingly safe in his presence. He certainly was a kind and enthusiastic individual. "Thank you, Jakotsu-san." she managed to mumble as she looked him in the eye. "Oh no! You call me Jak-chan, my dear!" he immediatly said as he pulled her towards the many isles of dresses.

"My partner does and I want you to as well! I love the name and I love yours too! Kag-chan! Kag-chan! It has such a nice ring to it! Oh! I can't wait to make you up and dress you up! You're like a little doll! So cute!" his voice rang out as he pulled two dresses from the racks by them.

Toga grinned as he crossed his arms. She was in good hands. Jakotsu was the best when it came to outfits and dressing of girls. Though he was sometimes a little ecstatic and crazy in his work, he was a good man with a phenomenal sense of style. His wife was a fond lover of his work, he would always arrive in town to pick up outfits for her. But Kagome was special, she was beautiful and Jakotsu would make her completely stand out. He just knew it.

Kagome watched from her dressing room door as Jakotsu rolled a cart of gowns towards her. He grinned as he pulled a silver strapless gown from the rack and thrust it into her hands. "Here you go! I brought a whole bunch of dresses for you to try! I used your eyes, facial features, body type, skin color and complexion to find the perfect types for you! Tai-kun already told me your sizes, no need to worry!"

Before the bookworm could say anything, he pushed her into the dressing room and shut the door. "I want to see you in every one~!" his voiced chirped on the other side of the door. Kagome held in a giggle, she had just met him and she knew she liked him. He was a little wierd by he was fun and had a good sense of fun. He was certainly was sweet and he seemed happy to work with.

Looking down at the gown in her hands, she held it closer to her chest and smiled. Though it was crazy with the idea of having this kind of shopping trip, it was fun and she enjoyed it immensely now. Placing the gown on the small stool by the floor-length mirror, she pulled off her clothes and then tried it on.

Outside, Jakotsu and Toga stood against the wall as they eagerly awaited the bookworm. "Oh Tai-kun! I'm so excited to have someone like her try on my dresses! She's absolutely lovely!" Jakotsu said as he looked at the taller man.

The white-haired male nodded as he looked at the door. "Yes, she is. Quite the lovely girl..." he trailed off.

Jakotsu grinned, "So, how are your handsome boys? Are they still single? How's that hunk of an author?" he said coyly.

Toga scoffed, "Jak, I told you before. Inuyasha isn't interested in finding someone yet and Sesshomaru is already taken care of. He just doesn't quite know it yet. She's very special and I know that they are perfect for one another... Both just aren't quite as aware as I am."

Jakotsu raised an eyebrow; his lips curled into a small smile, knowing who he was speaking of. "I'm certainly hoping she will be the perfect one for him. Do you think you can count on her to provide for Sesshomaru and stay with him?" Toga nodded as he felt himself smile. "I'm pretty sure she is the right one for him. She's as sweet as sweet can be. I'm hoping he won't let her go like the others."

The smaller man smiled at his statement and looked at the door. "I'm sure she won't let him get hurt. A good woman like her is hard to find in this world and he deserves the best."

"U-Um. I'm ready." called the bookworm from inside the door.

Jakotsu clapped and jumped up. "Oh! Please do come out and show us!" Toga held in a laugh at his enthusiasm. "Come on out Kagome, we are eager to see you."

No sooner said than done, Kagome stepped out into view holding the skirt of the gown in her hands to prevent her from tripping. Toga's eyebrows raised high on his forehead as he took in her appearance. She looked lovely...

The dress reached the floor and the skirt was a little poofy but it was pulled off the floor. She was barefoot and her arms were bare. The straps of the dress were thin and held the fabric over her chest. The gown was form-fitting and accented her hips and bust. Her long black hair was a nice contrast to her dress and her pale skin.

"Oh! Don't you look lovely~! I can't stand it!" Jakotsu said happily as he clapped his hands. He hopped up to her and circled around the girl. She felt her cheeks redden as he examined her.

Toga smiled as he watched Jakotsu speak to Kagome about the dress and show her the other dresses to try. This was certainly going to be fun and he really liked seeing her look so lovely. Though they were only trying things on for her, he was eager to get her ready for the actual Christmas party. They just had a large store to go through for the perfect dress for his little girl...

*Three hours later*

Kagome stepped into the apartment with all of her purchases in her arms. She sighed as she leaned against the door, enjoying the warmth of the home. Though it had taken a while, Jakotsu had finally found her a beautiful dress for the party, one that would "knock their socks off". She did like the dress but she was a little nervous about wearing it to the party. It was only a few days away now and Kagome was both excited and yet nervous. It was such a large gathering and many important individuals would be there and she was but a mere college student. Shaking her head, the bookworm pulled herself together. She breathed in the smell of the cinnamon candles she had placed around the house to keep the air crisp and freshly-scented.

The kitchen and the living area did not appear to be lit and everything was quiet. Sesshomaru must have been in his study or possible his room. Kagome was quiet and made sure her presence was not overbearing. She did not want to surprise him or catch him half-naked should he finished showering. She had already done that and another time would just be horrible.

"It's good to be home..." she heard herself mutter as she shucked off her shoes. Grabbing a hold of her shopping bags, she began to walk towards her bedroom. As to avoid making too much noise, she felt herself walk lightly on the wood floors towards her door.

Placing her bags and purse inside, she quickly grabbed a book from the pile Sesshomaru gave her and closed the door. She then found herself back in the living room, book in hand. A little reading before a shower sounded good to the black-haired beauty as she moved towards the light switch.

The moment her fingers flicked the switch on, her eyes locked on the fallen figure on the couch. She let out a small gasp as she looked at the form.

Sesshomaru was laying on the couch with his head on the arm rest and his right hand under his neck, his other hand rested on his chest with a novel in between his fingers. His eyes were shut blissfully and his glasses were on his nose. His pale lips were slightly open as they let out his calm and slow breaths. The long silver locks flowed under his body and some curled on the floor as they fell off the couch cushions. His long legs were stretched out across the leather sofa and his feet were bare. He looked totally relaxed and comfortable in the position and Kagome felt her cheeks heat up as she looked at him. She wanted to desperately to pull out her phone and capture this moment with a picture, but she knew better. Someone like Sesshomaru would most likely break her phone should she do such a thing.

Shaking her head, Kagome felt her lips curl into a genuine smile at seeing him like this. It was nice and the bookworm really liked how comfortable he looked on the couch. "I guess even workaholics need a chance to rest... He looks so... beautiful..." she muttered under her breath as she eyes the lovely man.

Feeling a special emotion flood over her, she quickly rushed to her room. Returning rather quickly, she gently pulled the book from his hands and set it on the coffee table in front of him. She then draped a dark gray fleece blanket over his sleeping form. Feeling the need to make sure he was more comfortable, Kagome covered his feet and pulled the blanked up to his collar bones. He did not move nor seem to give any indication of waking.

Kagome felt herself smile as she kneeled down beside him. "You must have more work to do and you can't do that if you catch a cold." she whispered to him. Knowing he couldn't hear her, she watched him a little more as she felt her cheeks redden at the sight of his beauty. Her heart began to beat faster and faster as she looked at his handsome features. Her entire body felt heated as she sat beside him. Her mind grew hazy as she felt her lips part to let out uneasy breaths.

A wonderful surge of emotions flooded her brain as she looked down at the author. He looked so innocent and comfortable there before her. He almost looked like a little child under the blanket. Kagome had need really seen him like this before and she felt her instincts tingle at the sight of him. His handsome features glowed in the pale light of the living room and this only made Kagome's cheeks redden and her body grow warm. She could hear her heart pounding in her ears as she looked over his body.

Her feelings and surging emotions made her mind hazy as she felt her eyelids drop a little. The bookworm kneeled down close as she locked her eyes on his calm face. He looked so peaceful and Kagome felt herself move closer towards him. Her heart was beating uncontrollably and her mind was feeding her many thoughts. Thoughts that included keeping him close and being sure no one would disturb his slumber. Also thoughts of curling up beside him and sharing sweet dreams with him...

Kagome didn't know what to think as she merely kept her gaze on him. All she knew was that she was happy here by his side.

What...are...these feelings...all of a sudden...?
