She pads carefully around the ferns, although she doesn't know that she made a noise. Everything smells so clean and fresh! She can see a single raindrop balancing on the tip of a leaf, illuminated by the bright sunshine. But she can't hear the birds chattering their alarm calls, nor can she hear the fallen leaves crackle as a russet tail strokes over the forest floor. The sunshine is reflected in her blue eyes as she raises her head to observe the sky. The fluffy white clouds are the same shade as her clean pelt.

By the time she smells the scent of predator, it's too late.
