They left the gathering at nearly midnight and Jane apologized to Maura that they would not be able to go to a honeymoon until the cupid killer had been caught. Maura shushed her "We do not have to go anywhere this is already the greatest day of my life knowing that I am your wife from here on out. " A tear ran down Maura's cheek as she smiled a million watt smile. It did Janes heart good to know that Maura was so happy. They got to the house and the police went in to clear the house and then Jane picked up the breathtaking bride and carried her across the threshold. When Maura glanced around her breath stopped. "You have no idea what you do for me, Maur. You truly complete me, you give me the space to be me although I know it infuriates you at times, yet you remain close to lend me your strength when I need it. I was a different person before you and I am so glad you have helped me become the person that I am. You have allowed me to grow into a more compassionate person and shown me not to be ashamed of my emotions and they help me be the detective I am." She stroked Maura's hair back and wiped away a tear that fell down the medical examiners cheek.
"You have helped Ma and I have a better relationship and given her the daughter she can play dress up with although you have a outstanding fashion sense without anyone's help." Maura laughed and rested her head on Jane's chest.
Jane lifted her chin and looked in her eyes "you are amazing Maura and I am so grateful you have chosen to share your life with me."
"It is my honor Jane. You have taken away my loneliness and made me proud of myself when everyone else when I was younger made me feel awkward. When I spout off some trivial fact you just give me that look of pure love and make me feel like the most treasured woman on this earth."
"You are, you are the most spectacular, amazing, breathtaking, beautiful, and courageous woman in the world. I am so proud that we share a name now and that you are my family." Maura was smiling the smile that always made Jane's heart skip a beat.
"God I am lucky." Jane whispered cupping Maura's cheek and pulling her in for a deep kiss. Maura sat down her drink and quickly deepened the kiss wanting nothing more than to make love to her wife.
Maura deepened the kiss and was trying to straddle Jane in the chair awkwardly then groaned in frustration and got up. She went and closed and locked the door then drew the blinds. Jane laid a towel out in the sand and got some coconut oil.
