Okay, so these ones are shorter persepectives so I can gave yea a bigger feel of what everyone is going through. Except the bad guy of course, that would ruin it all. (Im sorry for taking 3 years. :( )

- to enkindle courage

Time

How the ever loving fuck did we manage to take the stairs? Maka was flabbergasted at the notion. She was exhausted and sore, but they had it. Somehow. The wave seemed unstoppable but with the help of the other 'Maka and Soul' s of their team, they pushed them down until they retreated into their castle.

Maka suspected it was much bigger than it looked, despite it's already menacing look. Towers shot out from behind a massive wall with the only way through shut by a thick steel gate. The towers almost reached the top of the cavern, but wouldn't have had the room for Arachne's entire army. Probably caves under it. This is an underground cavern after all. Where would Kid be in there? The throne room? Death, hopefully not the dungeon.

She frowned and wallowed in the silence that engulfed them. The Kishin's had yet to be spotted, much to the relief of the kids. It left Maka with, however, a sense of forboding dread. Why wouldn't he come to finish us? We're tired right now. Why are they giving us time to recharge? Eyes flashing to the gate, she began to wonder if maybe the door was impossible to get through. It would make sense. It would give them time to recharge as well, then wipe us out in full force. Maka could feel the wind of the meisters marching by her, and felt a small smile grow. We can do it. Her mind began to wander to area's of battle and technique. She started to recite her combo's off, in an attempt to not think about fighting Arachne, The Kishin or ... kid. She frowned.

Everytime she thought of the last moment she had saw him... I know you're old, Kid. But you never acted like it... So goofy and silly but then... Hairs on her arm began to stand as the image of Kid walked out of the shadows toward her. He towered over her now, hair longer, shaggier, 3 stripes moving into 3 waves on his head. His black armor clashed against his pale skin as he draped his long arm over his sheathed sword on his hip. She almost could see him pull the blade out before she heard a cough from behind. The daydream faded, leaving her alone.

How many times has that happened now? Where he just comes out of the shadows to me. A slight shake of her head and a quick view of the army reminds her of their battles. But the cough that had come from behind her had belonged to Liz, forcing Maka's thoughts toward her and her sister. Patty and Liz wrapped in barbwire... how could you do that? That was the part that stumped Maka the most, when she considered the situation. Kid saved them off the streets? Just to make them powerful and then throws them away? Why? The thoughts swirled around in circles, every time she thought she was close to an answer, another scenario with Kid would throw everything off.

Her eyes trailed off to Soul, who seemed deep in thought. Just like everyone else it seems. A warm feeling filled her when he looked at him. When did that start? A smile creeps onto her face, despite her best efforts at containing it. A while ago. Her mind wanders to the previous night and her faces turns red again. She had done such scandalous things. It was only her second time, but she managed well. She blushed again. Or at least that what Soul thought. She could almost hear his moan…..whoooa. She almost laughed at herself. That is not what I should be thinking about right now. She wanted to hold him now, but she needed to be strong for everyone.

Their silent calm only lasted a few moments. But there comes a time in every life when the world gets so quiet that the only thing left to hear is your own heart. You won't have the choice to listen. It will make you understand what it's saying.

The deafening silence dooming around them told the tale of everything they had been through and everything that had happened. She watched as Tsubaki stood from her position with the twin toward the blue haired boy. She sighed as she stood beside him, seeing his grim appearance. He quickly moved up to smile at her, but his eyes were hidden. She noticed the blood splattered on his hair, on his chest, everywhere… A tear falls; it gently rolls down her face, across her rosy cheek, until a thumb made contact and wiped it. Still not looking at her, he pulls his hand away. She smiles and turns to stand beside him. Nothing is said for a while, but his hand falls from being crossed on his chest to his side. Slowly, he scoops up her hand and she is all to happen to oblige. Maka stared at them with a smile. We all deserve a little happiness.

Soul knows he needs to talk to Maka and tell her the danger of falling. This is a crazy important battle.. He can't help it as his eyes wander over toward Maka, who seemed to be standing taller than the rest. Her hair, slightly swaying in the breeze. I can't see her hurt again. She looked calm. His smile began to fall as he realized she had looked calm like that all day. Is she really okay? If I press her, the madness may creep in...He could almost scream in frustration; his brain extremely torn at the moment. His pride also blocked him from discussing it with his demon, who was now a bastard.

Soul clentched his fist at the thought but continued on. If I tells her prematurely, she could just fall now and go beserk, pulling me unwillingly along. Or i dont tell her and she totally flips her shit on Kid. He thinks back to his training. How can I help? Maybe I can indirectly stop magic flow? He cursed. He would need all of his strength for the kishin. A thought occurred to him as the ideas and scenes swirled around. Maka would still use it and willingly fall to defeat the kishin. Obviously, telling her was out of the question now. Should've known from the start that the answer was fighting together. He would have to watch her this battle, communicate with her. He smirked.

"Hey Maaaaaka." He said jokingly, trying to just get her attention. Literally everyone in the room snapped to attention at his voice. While he had been chatting for a while with his demon and then with himself, the room had been silent and still for ten minutes whilst the army marched passed them. He shrugged and rubbed the back of his head, looking upwards. With a blush on his face, "uh.. sorry guys. Didn't mean to break the…chill." He snapped his fingers and pointed them in the shape of a gun at Blackstar and Tsubaki and winked. Tsubaki couldn't help to smile back. He could see Patty's small smile and he heard Liz giggle. He wants us to feel better. Tsubaki thought.

She stepped from the wall and mimicked his position. Half squatting while leaning back, and everything. Then, she too snapped at Soul and Maka. "Don't you worry 'bout it….baby." She wiggled her eyebrows. Souls mouth dropped. Even the corner of Maka's lips turned up from her scowl. Blackstar mimicked soul but then bursted out into fits of laughter

Tsubaki, stands back up and wipes her hands on her robe. Blushing, she looks down and clasps her hands together.

Blackstar, finally containing himself, walked over to his girl. He beamed at her and patted her on the head. "Thanks for that one. I needed that. Now…" He turned to point at Maka. "AHA! You fool! You shall never compare in strength to me, Blackstar! Muhahahaha" He chortles as a booger hangs from his nose. Maka just face palms and starts to giggle. These are my friends.

Soul, with a smile on his face, taunted Blackstar. "So when did you dye your hair pink?" But before that went any farther, both Tsubaki and Maka grabbed the hands of their respective partners and pulled them away.

Maka couldn't help but smile at Soul, who had broken their tranquility. He gave them a little life back, with the help of Tsubaki. Of course. She giggles again, distracted from her current mission.

"Maka." She glanced up at him, he was still serious, despite his goofy intentions with the others. I wonder why? She thought back to her battle where she had basically shut everything out. Including him. She frowned. "Hey." Soul says as he grabs her chin to make her look at him. "I'm here with you, yeah. Don't worry so much. There's a lot of people with us. It's not just up to us." He gives her a toothy grin. "But we'd still kick their asses without them." She finally smiles back at him.

"I know, Soul. I just cant help but worry about…" She pauses, not knowing how to bring up the subject to the man she loved now. He was my boyfriend. But he was our friend first. "I'm worried something is wrong with kid. Lord Death said he spent many human life times as a teenager until he could take over, why would he change now? When he's so close?" Soul felt a pang in his heart.

She still cares about him, even after everything. Soul scratches the back of his head, again as he watched his lady frown. "Maka, don't think about it. We don't want to worry until we face him. We can do it." He smiled down at her and kissed her forehead.

Leaning into him, she whispered, "can we just stay like this forever?" He wrapped his arms around her. As he did this, a horn began to blow, stating Team Beta had secured the landing; it was time to learn the castle attack plan from Spirit.

He breathes in.

Vanilla.

"No."

"Okay, so basically, thousands of people, lots of Spiders and Kishin. We're all down here. We can't get trapped here." Spirit was going through the plan father quickly, Soul observed. Despite this, he still managed his dramatic flair but pausing to stare at the women in the group, forcing Maka to glare at him until he continued. "So team Beta, you will lead the hold on the entrance whilst Team Alpha and Waldo attack the gates." Hands flew up before Spirit finished speaking. He rolled his eyes and waved his hands about. "I'm getting to it!" Continuing to mutter just to himself, "Death scythe here. Im not that stupid. No credit ever."

Motioning to his side, an extremely short tanned skinned, dark haired man appeared. He was in green robes and had white tattoos covering his body. Spirit smirks at the confusion amongst the team leaders. "This is Ushna. He's from the Twakaleki tribe in the south. He will be in charge of knocking down the gate." Soul scoffed and then flushed with embarrassment when Ushna's eyes fired straight to him. The little man said nothing as the looks of confusion flashed around.

"Now, Team Alpha and Waldo, you will be taking the full force of their army. Our scout team is going elsewhere." His eyes flased to Maka and Soul. "So you guys need to hold strong. After Ushna knocks that gate down, they wont hold back. Those bastards are going to stream out of their like water bursting from an overflowing damn. And you'll be there to kick the shit out of that tide." Team Alpha and Waldo's leaders fist bumped. They towered over the rest of them at 6'5. Shit if they all look like that they wont need us. Soul felt meager at his 5'9. Sure, he had grown a bit in the last while, as all 17 year olds do, but not as much as he would like. Honestly, he prayed for the day where Maka would have to look up at him. His cheeks flushed at the thought.

He continued to block out the plan and just focus on the woman in front of him. He was shorter than him, but not by much. Hahhh, so much for height being my thing. He shrugged and discreetly pinched Maka's ass. Smiling as she jumped at his surprise touch, he could see her flushed cheeks at his boldness. Smiling wirily, he turns back to listen to Spirit, who had finished talking and was glaring in his direction. Slightly embarrassed, Soul kept on his smile and nodded at him. Narrowing his eyes, Spirit finished. "Alright. Well, that's it. See you on the other side again." Just as Soul grabbed her hand to leave, Spirit shouted to them, "Soul and Maka? I need to talk with you about Team Omega's plan."

Soul doesn't have to look to see Maka's white knuckles as she squeezed his hand.

Darius walks into Death's chambers and closes the door. The dread one sits at his desk, the shadows danced around him. "They're coming Death, and we are alone. Arachne is across the castle and the beast is watching the battle from the roof." Darius took a step forward. "Sir-"

Death leaned back in his chair, cursing Darius to fall silent. "Did you know the human face contains more spiders than you could possibly count?" Darius pales. "Which is interesting about the human face, you know. I like human faces; I've seen plenty under my boot." He chuckles as Darius knowingly backs away. "Mostly crying faces though, but for a while, well, shit. I held a smiling one for a bit, but it wasn't the same, obviously." He cooned at Darius, causing the hair on his arm to stand. Death pushed out his chair from under him and stood. "You're really shitty at not asking questions. I'll have to rethink that for next time."

Darius nods to Death. "I'm sorry Sir."

Making his way to Darius, Death stood a breath away. Deaths eyes glared, black as night, cold as a winter morning. "We're never alone here. Only when we're out on missions. Leave. Now."

Death moved back and away from him. Turning, he stared hard at the wall. Strength. He shouted, "Now get out before I skin you alive." Death motioned his hand and a lamp exploded, causing Darius to flee the room.

He sat back at his desk and sighed. He put his head in his hands. That guy won't let me forget. I know. He bemused, Maybe I will kill him. Death chuckles to himself and leans back in his chair. There will be only one voice that will stir him from his slumber, and when that happens…. may death rain down upon you. He smiled again, drifting off.

Ox and the members of the academy had put up a hell of a fight. If I do say so myself. He grinned. He had led the charge for his team and had helped secure the landing. They couldn't have done it without me.

He could almost feel his nose turn upward when he grinned. The battle was hard fought and despite the members of the heavy hitters going first, thousands of Kishin and spiders streamed by them. At this rate, everyone will be a Death scythe. He panicked for a moment, thinking Lord Death would rank them on how many they killed and would select the best. Calming down, he remembered the pause in battle. But theres none here right now. So it doesn't matter. Yeah, yeah? Yeah.

The horn had sounded a while ago. He was done his part for now, so he truly didn't care what was currently happening. I kinda just wanna lay down. He faltered in his step and crumbled to his knees. Closing his eyes he thought, Ah, much better.

He didn't want to be traumatized by the deaths he had seen. Not now. Not right now. Maka. He remembered her strength every single time she'd shown it and the bravery to match. Can't let her beat me any more than she already is!

As Ox rose, he felt stronger. I'm should go see the other members and help the wounded. It may be break time from fighting, but we still have things to do. He wandered off, slightly wondering what free time felt like until an explosion echoed by. He whipped around to see the castle gates smoking and melting while a giant cannon with white markings sat steaming a few clicks away. He felt his eyes pop out of his skull. HOW IS IT THAT BIG? He started to run again, feeling the new excitement in the air from his comrades as the horde poured out.
