Hi darlings! I'm so sorry about the wait, i swear i've been trying to update this for days! But my stupid computer just doesn't want to cooperate with me! So here's the next chapter, and there's a pretty important author's note at the bottom, if you guys would all be dolls and read that for me i'd be so appreciative :] i hope you all like this chapter! the idea comes from miss Peaches2421, i owe her this from like, a thousand years ago!
If i owned then i'd be rich...and i don't and i'm not so...
Someone kill him.
Please.
Dom was so sick of all the people congratulating him and hugging him and saying shit like "oh I'm so proud of you!" or "I knew you could do it!".
Lying bastards...Dom thought with a roll of his eyes.
The only ones who were allowed to be proud of him were his team. Not all these nameless people from church or around the neighborhood, people Mr. T. had invited to the graduation. None of these people really cared about him, and Dom was willing to bet at least three-quarters of them didn't believe he could do it; actually graduate.
Dom looked at Vince and Leon, also stuck with "thank you"s and enduring this meaningless crap, and sighed. Vince let out an almost growl like sound while Leon rolled his eyes for about the hundredth time.
The only reason Dom-and he suspected the boys also-stuck around was because of the grin on Mr. T's face. Dom hadn't seen his dad look that proud ever.
The only thing that could even come close was the first time Dom drove, and again a year later when Letty did the same. But even those couldn't hold a candle to now.
Mr. T. shook so many hands the boys had lost count, but he didn't seem bothered at all. He laughed and talked for at least an hour before and after graduation. The grin never faltered. Mr. T. was-at the moment-the world's proudest dad.
Dom loved how proud his dad was of him-of all three of them. His dad was his idol in life and he never wanted to disappoint him.
But damn if Dom wasn't tired of standing there.
All Dom wanted was to get out of those stupid clothes, especially the tie, and drive away from the Hell Hole for the last time. He was done.
Finally done. The thought had a small smile of relief growing on his face.
Letty was waiting for him at hector's party. That thought had a grin growing across the new graduate's face.
Letty... After Dom had brought her back home last night, they hadn't had much opportunity to talk; Mia had been busy fussing a million times worse than she had the night before, and kept the two apart all day.
Dom thought about the racing contract he'd been offered; two years away from his team, his family, with very few breaks.
No way in hell was he even gonna think about it.
Did Dom want to race? Of course he did! But he wanted something at least West Coast, and something that didn't take him away from his family indefinitely. Dom wouldn't put racing above his family. He just wouldn't.
Dom was brought out of his thoughts as he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He slowly took it out and glanced at it, a grin forming on his face as he saw the sender's name.
U boys still ain't here yet? At least Hector's got a lot of cousins to keep me company ;) –Letty
Dom shook his head and stuck his tongue in the side of his cheek. He didn't even think about all of Hector's horny-ass cousins that would be at the party too when he told Letty to just go ahead. Which, in retrospect, Dom should've considered since he knew it was Hector's family's party.
Don't make me come over there. –Dom
Empty threats, Papi –L
Dom chuckled and slowly shook his head. This girl was going to be the death of him.
Teasing aside, where the hell r u? Its been like, 2 hrs and Im tired of dancin by myself –L
still at the damn school, Pop is still talkin –D
Tell him to HURRY UP –L
He smirked and shoved his phone back in his pocket. Dom looked at his dad, seeing the last of the invited guests walk away.
"Hey, Pop! You ready to roll out now?" Dom called.
Mr. T. turned and smiled at his son. "Hell yes. If I have to shake one more hand I'm going to lose it." He shook his head.
Dom and the boys gaped at Mr. T. He raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "What, you boys think I actually like talking to them?" Mr. T. asked.
"Well, you sure as hell did it for a long time." Vince grumbled.
Mr. T. threw an arm around Vince's shoulder. "That, son, is because I had to rub it in their faces that my sons actually graduated." He grinned.
The boys returned his grin. "Wow, Pop..." Dom chuckled.
"Now, isn't there a party I've kept you boys from long enough?" Mr. T. smirked.
"Hell yea there is!" Leon grinned, turning towards the exit.
"Right behind ya, brothah!" Vince called, running after him.
"Thanks, Pop." Dom told Mr. T. seriously.
Mr. T. smiled as his biological son and hugged him. "You're welcome, son. I'm proud of you. Now, I'm pretty sure by now Little Letty's gotta have all the boys swooning over her. You should probably go make sure she hasn't gotten into a fight yet." He smirked.
Dom laughed. "Yea, there's no telling with her."
"That's what you love about her." Mr. T.'s smirk grew.
Dom's face colored a bit as he turned toward the exit. "Later, Pop!" He called, running to his car.
Dom was the last one to show up at the party, having gone back to the fort really quick to change out of those damn dress clothes, and it was in full swing when he got there. There was a ton of people, from little kids to grandmas and grandpas, and everyone in between. Dom smiled a bit as he walked up to the door and a couple of little boys ran past him, shooting each other with water guns.
"Eh, slow down!" One of the adults called from the porch.
A few people whom Dom recognized from the races came up and talked to him as he made his way inside. Dom smiled back but didn't stop searching around the house for his girl.
"Hey, Dom, man you lookin' for someone?" Diego inquired.
Dom turned and smirked at him. "Uh, yea, man, I'm lookin' for Letty. You seen her?"
Diego chuckled and slapped Dom on the back. "Not recently brothah. She's been all over, dancing with Mia. Don't worry, we kept them away from the beer."
"Appreciate that, Letty's a mess to begin with; when she's drunk..." Dom trailed off, grinning.
Diego laughed and was dragged away by a couple girls who wanted to dance. Dom laughed as the younger man made a fool of himself on the dance floor; the vibe in the house completely happy and carefree.
Dom walked towards the kitchen to get a Corona and spotted Hector with Vince and Leon. The three grinned as they saw him walking over to them.
"Hey yo Dom, what's up brothah?" Vince grinned, raising his beer to him.
Dom grinned and hit his beer to all three of theirs. "Well boys, we finally done with school."
"Finally!" Leon laughed.
"Amen to that!" Hector replied.
"So where's Let?" Vince asked.
"I was just about to ask you boys the same question." Dom admitted.
"Yo, man, your girl is loco; she decked Ramon so hard it broke his nose!" Hector said, laughing.
Dom grinned and shook his head. "That she is. He must've pissed her off; but not too bad if he didn't get a boot to the balls." Dom smirked.
All the boys winced at the thought. "I know Mia's out back, you might wanna check out there." Leon suggested.
Dom nodded and turned. "I'll see you boys in a minute." He called, maneuvering around all the people to go outside.
He took a spot on the porch and surveyed the backyard, smiling slightly; there were lights strung between the tree branches and a few tables scooted to the sides of the yard for the kids to play and for people to dance to the loud music.
Dom saw some of his other friends from the races standing to the side of the makeshift outside dance floor. They waved at him and he walked over, still looking for his girl.
Mia loved it when she got to go to parties; usually the Three Stooges shut her down real quick. Sometimes Letty was even on their side! Mia didn't care that she wasn't as tough as Letty, or drove like Letty, or was as old as Letty, she still deserved to go to parties!
Or, at least, that's what Mia liked to think.
So when Dom told her yesterday that Hector's family was having a big bash, mainly people from school, church, and Hector's family, and that he'd be ok with it if she wanted to go, Mia was over to moon.
She was so close to being in high school, just one more week and then she'd FINALLY be out of Junior High and maybe, just maybe, the boys would stop calling her the baby.
Mia was standing against the fence, watching people dance and talking with her girlfriends, all of them laughing and having a good time. She wasn't sure why, but something made her look around.
And when she did, she saw the CUTEST boy she'd ever laid eyes on.
He looked about Letty's age, tall, tan, muscular, with the most amazing blue eyes, and curly blonde hair.
Mia's definition? Perfect.
She bit her lip, trying to decide if she should go over and talk to him or not. Suddenly, the boy turned and looked over at her; Mia froze and smiled sheepishly-being caught staring. The boy smiled at her and waved almost shyly.
"Ohmygosh Mi! That guy's smiling at you!" Dana, one of Mia's friends, started squealing.
"He's so cute." Mia sighed, waving back shyly.
"You should totally go talk to him!" Natalie, another friend, said excitedly.
Mia suddenly felt very shy and uncertain; which was weird for her. Usually she had the 'Toretto Confidence' in the bag. But now she didn't think she could.
"Um...maybe I'll find him later." Mia suggested, taking a sip of her water.
"What? Nuh-uh girl, you gotta go get that boy's name and digits. Now." Dana beamed.
"Wha-no. No, I can't." Mia shook her head.
"Why not! You're hot, he's hot. Why not!" Natalie gaped.
"No, you guys don't understand, I don't think I can!" Mia frowned.
"Mia. Honey you are the prettiest girl in the whole eighth grade class and he is waving at YOU. Go for it!" Natalie said, shaking Mia's shoulders.
"You girls are so crazy, I can not just go over there and say-" Mia was interrupted.
"Hey." A voice said from behind Mia.
Mia turned and saw the boy himself standing there, smiling at her.
"Hi." Mia smiled slightly.
"What's your name?" he inquired.
Mia could practically feel Dana and Natalie's grins as they slowly backed away from the two. "I'm Mia." She said, offering her hand for him to shake. And considering you most likely know my brother, we're going to leave the Toretto part off for now. Mia added silently in her head.
The boy smiled and took her hand, kissing the back of it lightly. "Beautiful name, beautiful girl." He replied.
Mia's face heated up quickly, and she giggled. She could practically feel the eye roll Letty would give her if she knew about her girly reaction.
"Thank you, and who are you?" She asked, gaining some of her Toretto confidence back.
"Oh, I'm-" The boy started.
"Mia!" Letty ran up, grabbing the other girl's arm.
You have GOT to be kidding me. Mia sighed and looked at the older girl. "What, Let?" She asked.
"It's time!" Letty grinned, before turning away.
"Right now? I'm kinda in the middle of something..." Mia trailed off, glancing back at the still nameless boy; he smiled understandingly.
"Hey, it's alright. I can catch you later if you need to go do something." He told her.
He is such a sweetheart. Mia mentally swooned.
"I'm so sorry, she's had these plans...but I will definitely come talk to you later, if you're still around." Mia forced a smile, not believing her luck, or her sister's timing.
"Oh I'm not going anywhere." The boy smirked slightly.
"Cool." Mia blushed and ran after Letty.
Dom still hadn't found Letty, and as he was talking to Vince and Leon out in the yard, he was still distracted.
Vince was telling him about some upgrades he was gonna buy when all of a sudden, two buckets of water were dumped on all three of them, soaking them.
Dom's jaw dropped and he shivered as the ice cold water seeped through his clothes. He turned to find Letty, grinning, with a mischievous look in her eyes. He heard Mia cackling near, so he assumed she'd thrown the second bucket.
Dom took a step towards Letty, a slow smirk starting to grow on his face. "You are so gonna get it, Mami."
"Talk is cheap, Papi." Letty grinned back.
It was silent for one tense moment, and then all hell broke loose.
Dom lunged towards Letty and she ran off, laughing her ass off. He chased after her and Mia, who'd started running from Vince, and followed them around the side of the house. They paused as Jesse appeared in front of them, holding two huge water guns; at least ten times bigger than the ones the little kids had earlier.
"You traitor." Dom shook his head.
Jesse grinned and picked his gun up off the ground. "It's graduates versus non. They recruited me first, dude." He shrugged.
"Fire!" Letty yelled, and the three of them shot their guns at the boys.
"Retreat!" Leon yelled, running around back.
Dom laughed and followed them, and were stopped by a couple little kids. One of them tugged on Dom's pant leg to have him crouch down on his level. The boy stood on his tip-toes and whispered in Dom's ear.
"We gots lots of water 'loons if yous guys wanna get 'dem girlies." He whispered.
"What's your name kid?" Dom grinned.
"Tommy." The boy said shyly.
"Tommy, we would love some water balloons." Dom grinned.
"Get the 'loons! Get the 'loons!" Tommy yelled, running off towards his little friends.
Then, all the little kids returned carrying the biggest buckets their little hands could hold, and gave them to the three boys.
"You guys wanna help us?" Dom smirked.
Their little eyes bugged out as they all grinned enthusiastically.
"Mia! I think they went back around the side!" Letty yelled.
"Ok, when I yell now throw them at the two girls and the boy that's with them, alright?" Dom told them.
"Got it!" Tommy beamed.
Hiding behind the side of the house, Dom watched as Letty, Mia, and Jesse snuck around into the backyard, looking around cautiously. Dom smirked and crept forward, within easy fire range.
"NOW!" Dom yelled, throwing two balloons straight at Letty's back.
She squealed and jumped higher than he'd ever seen, turning around in shock as she, and Mia got the worst of the pummeling, and Jesse stood behind them, shooting his now fully reloaded water gun.
"Get them!" Letty laughed, shooting back.
"Get 'dem girlies!" Tommy yelled throwing a balloon at Mia.
Someone had found a hose, and was spraying everyone with it now; Dom figured it was Vince or Leon. He didn't notice much outside of Letty's grinning face and her laughter. Dom found himself laughing as he picked her up with one arm around her waist and twirled her around.
Her laughter got louder and Dom set her on her feet, his arms still wrapped around her as they watched Vince and Leon turn on each other and throw balloons at each other; everyone now dripping wet from head to toe.
Dom turned back to face Letty and smirked at her. "And to think I went lookin' for your ass."
"Oh please, don't act like you didn't have fun." Letty smirked back.
He shrugged, still smiling. Dom tugged her towards him again and gently pressed his lips to hers.
"Ewww!" They heard a little squeal of disgust.
Dom grinned and turned to see Tommy's face scrunched up. "What's wrong, lil' man?" He asked.
"Girlies gots cooties! You gon' catch 'da cooties!" Tommy said quite seriously.
Vince walked up with his arm thrown around Leon and Mia and grinned. "Nah, man, Dom caught them cooties a long time ago." Vince said.
Letty stuck her tongue out at Vince and rolled her eyes, while Dom just chuckled as someone turned the music back up and people started dancing again.
Well there we go guys! I really hope you liked it! Please leave a review and make my day (well...night...but you know what i mean!)
and alright, i REALLY need some feedback on this; the guy that Mia meets at the party, this will be teenage Brian if you guys want it to be! But if i make it teenage Brian, then this whole story goes AU; i'm talking we're gonna change what happens to Mr. T., what happens to Jesse, to Letty, all of it. And i'm cool with doing that if you guys really want to! So please please PLEASE give me your vote in a review or a PM, whichever you want! I'll try to reply to all of you that i can so i can make sure i can make as many of you guys happy with this story as i can!
I'm kinda excited about a teenage Brian, i can see a lot of potential with that! And, honestly, i don't want to kill Mr. T.; i love love LOVE writing him. And he seems to be a favorite of you guys' too! So just tell me which you would rather see! I'll update soon lovelies :] i'll probably not put the boy from the party in the next chapter, so that way i can write it without having to wait to get your votes in!
