BPOV

Since becoming a vampire I enjoyed lying in the middle of deserted roads. The freedom of being able to do so something non-human was pleasant to me. My hearing alerted me to any cars or people nearby- so I could move. But on deserted roads like this I could soak up the heat of the tarmac for an hour without having to move. I also had a great vantage point of the clouds and sky from here.

I know humans spend what seems like forever making shapes out of clouds, I have forever and it hasn't got boring yet.

This is the closest to sleep that I'll ever get and it is so relaxing to have my skin heated by the sun and a smooth flatish surface to lie on where I can feel the wind on my face.

Edward occasionally joins me however this is primarily my activity whilst he is hunting with the guys and I'm sick of spending time shopping or decorating.

Counting leaves on trees is something that I've been able to do since I became a vampire. Instant photographic memory helps but the general upgrade on processing speed means that I can accurately count leaves on a tree in under a minute. And the detail, I know I've said this before, but the detail on the leaves is just awe-inspiring. The autumn colours are what keep me transfixed the most. Whilst they are green now my anticipation for autumn leaves almost outweighs my love of the warm sun.

Spending a lot of time on roads does make me notice the paintwork and I'm still of half a mind to complain about the shoddy line drawing, however Carlisle said it was not for me to complain about so I've let it be.

The 1 thing I miss, apart from sleep and chocolate, is the interaction with animals. I knew it was a fact that animals didn't like vampires, but still, can't I have at least 1 bird chirping? Apparently not.

Edward will be backs soon so I need to leave my resting place but I'm certain I'll be back soon.
