The girls slid down into the land entrance one at a time. They then were followed by the guys.
"Nice." Morgan commented.
They had decorated the Moonpool cave for the twins birthday celebration. Blue streamers were hung everywhere. Charlotte brought out the cake; Which surprisingly didn't get squished. They all managed to sit on the cave floor with out falling into the Moonpool.
The cake had an Ocean theme. It read in Blue icing, "Happy 19th Birthday David and Derek!"
The Mermaids and their respective boyfriends (Except David) began singing to them.
"Happy Birthday to You
Happy Birthday to you
Happy Birthday David and Derek!
Happy Birthday to you!"
"And many more!" Bella added singing at the end.
"Thanks Guys!" David said to them. "This is awesome!"
Derek nodded in agreement. They cut the cake and began to dig in.
Meanwhile...
Denman swam in through the underwater entrance. She surfaced at the beginning of the cave. Her presence unnoticed by The Mermaids and their friends. She dove back down after seeing that they just were having a birthday celebration and left.
"Well I had a nice time." Morgan told them, "Thanks for inviting me Em."
"Your welcome." Emma replied. "How long are you staying here?"
"I don't know." She replied. "I never bought a return ticket."
"Why not?" Cleo asked.
"I wanted to see if I liked it here before I decided anything." Morgan responded.
"Before you decided what?" Rikki asked.
"I'm thinking of moving to the Gold Coast." She informed the Mer Club.
"So what did you find?" Greg asked Doctor Denman after she pulled herself back onto her ship.
"Nothing of importance." Doctor Denman replied. "They were just celebrating a birthday party in that cave where we captured them before."
"The cave where they gave up their powers?" Greg questioned her.
Denman nodded, "That's the one."
After their celebration...
They all used the boats to get back to the mainland.
The Mer Club was now in Will's boatshed.
"I'm telling you someone was in the cave with us." Derek insisted.
"Yeah," David responded, "Me, Cleo, Emma, Rikki, Morgan, Charlotte, Bella, Lewis, Ash, Zane, and Will."
"Besides them." Derek told them. "I just felt it alright."
"What do you mean you just felt it?" Rikki asked.
"I just felt another presence in the Moonpool Cave." Derek said. "I'm sorry I can't explain it any better than that."
"Maybe that's part of your power." Cleo offered.
"Maybe." He replied. "What exactly is my power though?"
During their conversation Lewis had pulled out his laptop and began searching Merman powers and abilities.
"Ah ha!" Lewis called out triumphantly.
"What?" Will asked.
"I think I found out what Derek's power is." He said excitedly. "Clairvoyance also known as Second sight. It describes it as Perception outside the known human senses."
"Makes sense I guess seeing as I'm now a merman." Derek commented.
"Isn't that a Psychic ability?" Ash asked.
"Yeah, I found this whole list of Psychic based abilities." Lewis informed them as he showed them all the page he was on. "I wonder if David and Charlotte's powers are Psychic based as well." Lewis mused to himself.
"Maybe." Zane added, "But aren't we forgetting something?" When no one spoke Zane continued. "Who was it that Derek sensed in The Moonpool? Who was watching us?"
"I think that Scientist is a pretty safe bet." Morgan replied.
"Marine biologist." Lewis automatically corrected her.
"Whatever." Morgan waved him off. "I mean maybe she suspects something's up."
"It's possible." Rikki said.
"And if it was her that was in The Moonpool." Cleo began. "Then she's been watching us .That Woman's been watching us."
"But for how long?" Emma asked, "What if she knows something about us?
"What if she saw one of us as Mermaids?" Bella added worriedly.
"If it is we'll have to deal with it." Charlotte responded. "Until then we should try to act as normal as possible."
The guys voiced their agreements. "Maybe I should go and see what she knows?" Lewis offered, "Like I did last time."
"No offense Lewis." Cleo began, "But sometimes you can be really Gullible."
"And last time that almost got Denman on our tails." Rikki said, "Literally."
"We just need to keep out of her sights." Emma said. "Stay as far away from her as possible."
"Now come to think of it." Ash said, "She has been hanging out at the café a lot."
"And your just telling us this now?" Rikki asked.
"I didn't want to worry you guys." Ash responded.
"And look how well that ended up." Morgan replied.
"Rikki, Morgan." Emma said looking at the two. "That's enough okay?"
"Emma's right you guys." Cleo spoke. "We don't need to be fighting. We need to be working together to find a way out of this mess."
"They're right." Zane said. "We need to find out who's been watching us and why."
"We know who it is." Rikki argued, "It's Denman!"
"We don't know that for sure though." Will said agreeing with Zane.
"Trust me it's Denman." Rikki told them.
"We can't know that for sure until we check it out though." Lewis said. "So let us check stuff out and be sure it's her first before we make any drastic moves."
"Fine." Rikki agreed reluctantly. '
"Okay." Emma responded.
"What ever you guys think will work." Bella said.
"I'm all for it." Cleo added.
"Alright." The twins said in unison.
Charlotte nodded her head to say she agreed with them.
"Whatever." Morgan finally said.
"Great," Lewis commented. "Let's get to work then."
