A short chapter, just trying to get back into the groove of writing this story. As always, mistakes are my own. Hope you enjoy!
Chapter 21
Bella got dressed for her night out on the town, all the while feeling guilty for not telling Rosalie and Alice about the exciting news first. With every layer shed the emotion sunk further into the pit of her stomach, to where she just sat on her bed lost in thought.
She sighed at the pickle she was in. This was a beautiful moment in her life. She dreamed about having her artwork appreciated internationally since she was a kid and when that moment finally came she was near tears and not in a good way.
Deciding to take a more proactive stance on what would transpire, she began to dress more glamorously than intended. All to surprise her girlfriends.
She just had to make a few phone calls.
Bella was able to get in contact with Alice and Rosalie in record time. Though, explaining the situation over the phone had its disadvantages. It felt like a cowardly move to, but Bella would be lying if not seeing the expression on both of their faces kept her from really examining how such tiny words could affect her girlfriends.
How her words could affect them.
Telling Milina initially about her great news about getting chosen to showcase her art at Schirn Kunstalle in Germany wasn't the best decision she made, but there was nothing to be done except damage control.
Bella never realized how challenging being in polycule relationship would be and how she would have to examine her fear and nervousness. Those thoughts could wait until tomorrow. Tonight was all about celebrating with the two most beautiful women she ever laid eyes on. Bella had no idea what Milina had up her sleeve but she hoped everything would still run smoothly.
They had all decided that dinner would be nice. Alice and Rosalie both didn't have the heart to ex Milina from the plans. After all, this was a celebration over Bella's achievement. A lifetime goal had finally been granted to her and they were in no position to take any welcoming fan away from the festivities. Even if there was residual tension or awkwardness over the situation.
Bella had been afraid to venture over to their apartment when she heard their arrival. Nerves wrecked her body at the unknown. Would they be angry at her? She couldn't talk her out of the situation and she knew the reason she said yes was completely selfish, only wanting to feel validated and celebrated for her accomplishment.
She was now realizing that her choices affected more people than herself.
More people than she was used to affecting.
It had been so long since Bella felt this way about someone. The last time had left her feeling gutted with the turn of events. One of the reasons she lost contact with her family. She was still fighting the learning curve being in a budding relationship, with not one, but two women.
She stilled herself and ventured over to their apartment. Bella knew she could be timid sometimes but she knew they deserved an apology in person, they deserved better. Alice and Rosalie had been enraptured at the sight. Bella was beautiful dolled up. She sheepishly apologized, feeling out of her skin and embodied all the once and Rosalie had done nothing else, except stare into her eyes, caressed her cheek and kissed her softly as if saying she understood. Alice had held her, kissing her neck and cheek tenderly, sighing at the feel of Bella's tentative kiss to her shoulder.
They made her feel like they saw pass the actions and saw the reasons. Maybe they were just giving her the benefit of the doubt. Either way, Bella wondered how she had become so lucky to have two women care about her.
After the initial awkwardness had faded and drinks were consumed, the conversation became light and playful. They all sang boisterously in Bella's honor. Even the waitress began to sing, laughing swept up in the energy of the four beautiful, magnetic women. When the bill was settled they decided to keep partying at the Black Box, the club where Milina worked. It was a perk they could get free drinks there as well.
The music in the club was loud as they stepped inside. Women were stacked around the interior, dancing and grinding on the dance floor, laughing while throwing back shots or unabashedly making out at tables. The lights were dimmed to a dull red, creating an eerie, yet, exotic ambience.
Alice whistled while she scanned their surroundings. She started to shimmy her hips in time to the melodic music. "There's wall to wall women in here tonight."
"You sound like you're surprised." Milina smirked, leaning slightly into Alice. It was almost impossible to have a conversation without screaming over the music to be heard.
"I'll grab drinks for us." Milina glanced at Alice, her fingers were knuckle deep in Bella's hair as she pulled the artist further out of her shell with every movement of their joined frames. "Looks like you're itching to hit the floor. Why don't you and our lovely artist enjoy yourselves and I'll steal the blonde to help carry the goods?"
Alice frowned at Milina, who seemingly ignored the expression.
Rosalie saw the irritation and kissed Alice sweetly. "Go on" she whispered against Alice's lips before pecking her once more and smacking her ass for good measure. Alice yelped at the sensation and nodded like a cute kitty, placated by the attention. Rosalie, then tucked a strand behind Bella's ear before kissing her. "We'll find a table close to the dance floor. Just find us whenever you're done."
Alice all but dragged Bella out on the crowded dance floor to properly grope and work her body over to the heady bass filled music. The artist grinned and followed the minx.
They let the energy of the crowd envelop their bodies. Already a sheen of sweat coated their skin as they moved against one another. Alice, laughed, full-bellied in glee, watching the dark desire clouding Bella's eyes. Hands were everywhere while they moved, dragging from necks to chests on to gripping buttocks.
Alice felt wetness pool between her legs having Bella so close in her arms. She groaned softly from the leg the artist tucked between hers while they danced. Alive was pleasantly surprised when Bella crashed their lips together. Teeth and tongue added when Alice rung her hand in a curtain of Bella's thick hair. Their movements slowed, unconcerned with dancing, and kissed to their hearts content.
"Bottoms up!"
"Just one shot" Rosalie narrowed her eyes at Milina, who wore a shit eating grin.
"Yeah, yeah." Milina waved her off. "Say that now. I'll ask again in an hour." She chuckled as Rosalie huffed.
They knocked back the whiskey shots. Milina leaned over the counter to kiss the bartender. "Thank you Tammy, you're the best."
Tammy shook her head at her friend in faux admonishment. There was shot glasses and drinks lined up on a small tray. "Don't have too much fun." She winked at her co-worker before scooting off to help a customer.
Rosalie navigated through the crowd, making a walkway for Milina to carry the drinks over to an abandoned table on the outskirts of the dancefloor. Rosalie scanned the room, trying to find her girlfriends in the mass.
She finally found them, practically having sex surrounded by a cloud of women grinding on their own respective partners. White, hot heat flashed in Rosalie watching the women absorbed in each other's mouths and body's.
She was still amazed at her and Alice's ability to evolve and grow enough to share their connection and love with another. Sure, Rosalie still had bouts of jealousy and concerns, but when she spent time with her women, those feelings dimmed into nothing.
"Are you going to venture into the dark rooms for alittle play time?" Milina grabbed her attention from ogling her girlfriends. When she glanced at the bartender a drink was hovering in her face.
She took the offered drink while she pondered the question. Visibly shaking the thought from her head, Rosalie switched tactics. "And why pray tell, are you asking?" If Rosalie was being honest, she was jealous that Bella told Milina the good news before she had. She'd already forgiven Bella, hell, she could even understand why Bella did what she did, but Milina always had a way of bringing out the bad in her ever since she was a teen fresh faced in California.
Possessiveness was starting to rear its ugly head, but Rosalie realized in Milina's company, with dozens of sweaty, drunk bodies dancing about, she didn't give a shit about being tactful.
Milina was well aware of how she could be.
"Dios mio." Milina muttered. "Are we not allowed to have girl talk? I conceded my defeat in wooing Bella's heart, Rosalie. I wasn't trying to step on anyone's toes when I offered to take her out and celebrate. I was being nice. This is big news for little ol' Forks to have someone of Bella's caliber in our midst. This was about her, not us." She took a sip of her drink, before continuing, "I would like to believe we can be civil and friendly, even after the charming reunion we had." Milina rolled her eyes, a small sigh escaping her lips.
Rosalie looked at Milina and a feeling of pity fell over her, but she would never tell Milina. She could see the loneliness in her grey eyes. "I'm not sure." Was Rosalie's only response before they were interrupted by Alice and Bella, both flushed and sweaty.
Alice snatched two shot glasses of the tray, handed one to Bella, who nodded her thanks and slammed the shots back with a florish. Bella winced at the taste but was a good sport and chuckled as she sat down. Alice promptly sat in her lap after she was situated. Bella gasped at the feel of Alice's settling in her crotch. She was unaware of the devilish smirk her girlfriend wore just then.
Milina only cocked her eyebrow at Rosalie, who read the bartenders mind.
Really? You don't know?
"I see a lovely woman eyeing me." Milina said, raising from her seat. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go dance." A statuesque redhead's smiling suggestively her. The woman waved a finger in her direction, beckoning her like a siren, calling her out for a dance. "Enjoy your night." She patted Rosalie on the shoulder before joining the redhead.
"Did we miss something?" Alice probed, reaching over to kiss Rosalie on the lips. She shuddered as fingers began to trace up her thighs slowly. Alice had no idea whose hands those were, but she felt a thrill having to guess.
Rosalie shook her head at the question. The only thing that was on Rosalie's mind was her two girlfriends. She bit her lip, seeing that heat in Alice's eyes and heard her shallow breathing. She knew exactly what was on Alice's mind. Barely contained arousal was written over Alice's face. Rosalie could read her girlfriends signs like a book.
Rosalie caressed Bella's cheek, the skin smooth and damp under her thumb. She groaned when her finger became engulfed in a warm, wet mouth. "You don't play fair." She sighed watching Bella's mouth work on her finger, the brunette staring into her eyes with a heat she rarely seen on Bella's face. Alice's hands started to run through her loose blonde hair, massaging her scalp. She bit her lip, clenching her thighs together at how turned on Alice appeared that very moment, squirming on Bella's lap.
"God, I'm so ready to get out of here." Alice breathed.
With considerable amount of resolve, Rosalie detracted her thumb from Bella's mouth, but not before dragging the finger down the artists glistening full bottom lip. She had been sucking and lightly biting on the appendage and the sensations had been shooting straight to her core.
Milina planted the thought in her head. Would Bella be interested in entering one of the dark rooms here for a bit of uninhibited fun?
"Actually, would you be interested in going to a private room here in the club for some alone time? Just the three of us?" Rosalie directed the question to Bella though Alice had voiced her desire to leave.
Alice chuckled low and wickedly.
Rosalie smiled, sharing a look with Alice, who she already knew was on board with the idea. Over the years they've used the amenities in the rooms many times over. The sex had been explosive, to say the least. But Bella wasn't privy to the darker, playful side to their sex life. There was some fear that they were opening the floodgates too soon into their relationship with Bella, but when Rosalie searched her heart, she realized it felt right. Now it only depended on Bella's answer.
