Synopsis of the Universal Saga:

Five years after the era of Dragon Ball Z, an era of peace had reigned over the Earth and those who inhabit it. Uub the reincarnation of the evil Majin Buu has spent the majority of his life training with his Master Goku others like the Saiyan Prince Vegeta and the Namekian Piccolo.

However with all eras of peace, darkness looms ever patiently around the corner waiting to cast its evil from the cracks. In this case Emperor Pilaf with Mai and Shu had been plotting their global takeover for many years. They had gathered the Dragon Balls and summoned the Eternal Dragon Shenron only to find out that his wish for control could not be granted, but still having hope for his dream the evil emperor wished for all knowledge and learned about the Black-Star Dragon Balls that had been sealed in a pocket dimension over Kami's Lookout. Then in the month of June in the Age 789, Emperor Pilaf attacked Kami's Lookout, and announced the magic words to reveal the Black-Star Dragon Balls and summoned the Eternal Dragon Ryu-Yan.

Having sensed this from afar, Goku, Uub and Piccolo rushed to the Lookout. Piccolo swiftly defeated Mai and Shu, whilst in this time Pilaf had mistakenly wished the Black-Heart Virus onto Goku. Observing this from inside the Lookout, Gast Carcolh a Namekian Guardian who was sealed away on a distant world appeared before our heroes, and told them that the terrible news that if the Black-Star Dragon Balls were not gathered within the Planets year then it would explode from the affects of the Negative Energy. In this moment Gast came to the realisation that Uub who stood before him was the reincarnation of the evil Majin Buu who attacked Namek five-million years ago and attacked the boy. After a long battle with Gast, Uub demonstrates his training and manages to barely defeat Gast who fled from the Earth. Shortly after Goku, Piccolo and Uub decided to head off to Capsule Corporation to tell everyone the unfortunate news and to discuss their plans

A week passed. Bulma had gone to the Lookout and designed a Dragon Radar which would track the waves that the Black-Star Dragon Balls had produced. Goku, Goten and Trunks said their goodbyes to their family and friends, just before they had headed off to the Capsule Corporation G spaceship, Goten received a phone call from his girlfriend whilst Trunks and Goku boarded the ship to wait for Goten. However, this wouldn't be happening as when they got to the Control Room Pan and Bra had hatched a scheme and launched the Spaceship into space leaving Goten behind.

Goku and the others made the decision that seeing as the summer holidays were approaching the young girls might as well go on the expedition to. After a couple of hours they had come across their first Black-Star Dragon Ball located on a planet called Tea in their home quadrant of the North. The gang had landed, but little did the gang know their visit was being monitored by Tea's satellite surveillance. They came across a robot called Giru who had consumed their Dragon Radar, and had found the Dragon Ball, however after easily defeating a trio known as The Force, the planet Tea was placed under lock-down making them unable to escape they were forced to head off to the Kings castle in the city of Bondon to switch the Generator off. On the way the group was attacked by the Imeckain known as General Ledgic, Goku fought him whilst Trunks, Giru and the girls infiltrated the Castle. After a long battle Goku and Ledgic settled on amicable terms and Ledgic went on his way.

Meanwhile in the castle, Eis who revealed to be the elder excelled brother of Frieza and Cooler turned out to be the ruler of the Planet and attacked Trunks. After a long hard and blood coated battle, the heroes came out victorious. The battle had came at a prize for Goku, revealing that he couldn't become a Super Saiyan Three any more and the entire planet Tea and its people were killed when Eis destroyed the Planet.

Five months had past after the events on Tea. Goku and friends had travelled far and wide, having been to many planets (some of which were the homes of the people Goku had seen when he was in Heaven) and helped to sort out minor conflicts on some planets, the group had gathered five of the Black-Star Dragon Balls. In this time though Namek fell under attack by Gast Carcolh who demanded control over Porunga to access the Ryu-Shin Realm, Moori having revealed Gast as the one who broke the promise saw his intentions and destroyed the Planet Namek in a failed attempt to stop Gast.

Observing this from Otherworld the King Kai is greatly disturbed by the sudden disappearance of Namek. Concerned he immediately informs the angered Piccolo and depressed Dende, who gathered the Z-Fighters and informed them of the incident. Making their plan to summon Shenron to summon to wish back the Porunga Dragon Ornament, Goten and Krillin head off to gather Earth's Dragon Balls, blissfully unaware that they are being followed. Meanwhile, Vegeta finds out he is also being followed and heads off to lead him away from the city to confront him.

Greatly angered about Namek's destruction, Gohan threatens to hunt down the one of destroyed Namek and bring justice, but before he can he is attacked by a seemingly sickly warped looking Namekian named Ramshorn who turns out to be working for Gast. Goten and Krillin are attacked by Nerite, Vegeta is attacked by Mollusc, whilst Gast attacks Piccolo. But Piccolo is defeated and is saved by Uub who also isn't able to overcome the possessed Gast's might. Uub now controlled by Majin Buu attacks Gast. Greatly disturbed Goku heads off to Earth and calls the boy once again from his mental state. Vegeta, Gohan, Krillin and Goten defeat their enemies and also sense, Uub's change in mind and head off to fight Gast. Piccolo finds out from his past self's in his mind about Gast's history and removes Ryu-Yin from the ancient Namek's body and Gast then merges with Piccolo to reunite the chain of Namek Guardians.

The Z-Fighter's gathered the Dragon Balls, Gohan concerned for the Planet Earth's safety wishes for a mystical shield that protects the Planet from exploding. The people who died are revived and then the group is greatly disheartened when it is revealed that the Dragon Ornament cannot be restored, which in turn means the Namek's cannot be revived.

A month passes, Goku and the others head to a planet that Goku is curious about. On the Planet Trio-Yeux, Tien and Chiaotzu reveal their stories of how they came to be there. Goku and Tien battle in a well even fight thanks to Tien's Transcendent State. After the fight the Helior ship attacks them – who turn out to have been monitoring the group through Giru, they steal their Black-Star Dragon Balls and take Trunks, Bra and Pan away. Goku attacks the ship, but is stopped by Emperor Eleim.

Trunks finds himself in the middle of the Helior Coliseum. Much to Trunks' shock a Gete Technology powered Eis reveals himself and attacks the group, but having made new friends he escapes from the coliseum with Phipsil, Hollien and Ledgic, and is then found by Goku, Tien and Chiaotzu. Governor Sarbon who homes the group betrays them and calls for the Helior Knights, but after a heart-filled discussion the Knights befriend Trunks and the others. Hailza the son of Frieza and King of Arcos and Planet Alliance Organisation appears and the team go on to attack the Emperors Palace.

Hailza is confronted by his Uncle Eis, who attacks him physically and mentally, and with great difficulty Hailza defeats him. Goku, Trunks and Phipsil confront Emperor Eleim but are all defeated; Goku manages with a horrible amount of pain to control his Super Saiyan Three form but is also defeated in the end by Eleim. Just before Eleim can land the finishing blow though, they are saved by their friends and put a stop to the conflict.

Afterwards, the group heads off to find Pan and Bra, but are greatly disturbed to find that the Tuffle Dr. Raichi has transported them to his Planet.

Now, Goku, Trunks and Ledgic head off to Earth to fix the Spaceship and plan to attack the planet...

Avenger Saga:
21. An Old Conflict

"What are we going to do?"

Chi-Chi's worried voice finally broke the silence. She was sat in the Capsule Corporation meeting room with her friends and family around the circular table. Next to her was Gohan with a serious and silent rage-filled expression on his face as he held the sobbing Videl into his shoulder. Vegeta sat on the opposite side arms crossed with a fierce expression plastered on his face whilst Bulma was slumped in her seat starring at the desk. Then she glanced at Trunks, Ledgic and finally at her husband Goku who had his head bowed, he had finally finished the entire story of their adventure.

Now everyone knew the situation they were in.

Gohan adjusted his glasses and turned to Ledgic. "You mentioned that you were caught on the Planet, before you were taken to Helior. Can you remember the coordinates?"

Ledgic crossed his arms. "Yes," He said in monotone. "The warrior I believe to be known as General Rilldo who toppled me and my siblings called the world: Planet Plant, red in colour, gravity ten times of yours and coordinates are -"

"That's not possible." Vegeta lifted his head. "I can assure you the Tuffles that you mentioned where all killed and the Planet was taken over by my very own Grandfather and his fellow Saiyans."

"I'm sure," Ledgic frowned, which made Vegeta's eye quiver from frustration.

"Hn," He spat.

"It's possible that some survived?" Trunks turned to his Father. "It's also possible that the Tuffle's found another planet to."

Vegeta growled and shot his glare at him. "Shut up! The Saiyans annihilated all of the Tuffle's it's fact!" Vegeta's yell reverberated around the room, and within the moment he turned his head to the roof and vanished in a flash of azure.

Trunks growled. "Well that escalated quickly, but what's with him today? He seems more obsessed with the Saiyan history than what's currently going on."

Bulma turned. "You know what he's like with that kind of stuff; he just needs some time to think that's all. I wish he'd be careful he's not in state to go bursting off like that."

"What do you mean?" Trunks asked, concerned.

"He's been pushing himself to hard lately. He's damaged his spine because he's grown that stupid tail that he's claims to achieve something but he refuses to go into any further details."

"I was wondering why he had that tail." Trunks said as Goku leaned forwards listening. "What does he hope to achieve with it anyway? That ridiculous Oozaru transformation is just plain useless."

"It doesn't matter," Videl sniffled; her eyes and cheeks were red and puffy. "We need to make a plan on how we going to get back Pan and Bra as soon as possible."

Goku nodded and turned to Trunks who began to speak. "I agree, but first things first we've got to fix the Spaceship and fix Giru: that way we've got a lock on the Black-Star Dragon Balls... and Raichi." He said placing the broken and scratched spherical robot that rolled to the side a little.

"I'll put full-time with my staff to fix the Spaceship, and I'll leave you to fix the Radar." Bulma smirked.

Trunks rolled his eyes. "Oh great, Mother leave me with the hard stuff. You've only got to stick a couple of legs on the thing."

"Hey, I'd have that Radar fixed in a few minutes. Besides I've got a few special adjustments to make on the Spaceship anyway. I didn't want to add any weaponry on the ship at first because...well it's you, but seeing as my daughters and Pan has been kidnapped I'll let you all have some fun."

Trunks and the others laughed.

"We need a team," Gohan remained serious. "But remember we've got to keep at least a few of here just in case anything happens. Piccolo's still off Planet with the Supreme Kai's and so is Uub, so if we all went Buu would be the strongest but I don't think he's really leader worthy."

Goku nodded. "I guess so. So it's me, Trunks, Ledgic, you or Vegeta and I'm guessing Goten will want in on this to so." He turned to Trunks. "With yours and Goten's Fusion we'll have a great advantage."

Trunks jolted at the word. "Err... Yeah, Fusion..."

Gohan turned with a frown. "That's reassuring," He sighed. "I'm going to hazard a guess that Vegeta's going to want to go. I want to get Pan and Bra to safety," Gohan growled. "But I'm needed here, darn if only Piccolo was still on Earth."

"Has he said what he's doing exactly?"

"No, I've asked but apparently the Kai's are keeping it confidential." Gohan sighed. "I'm really worried for, Uub as well. I haven't heard anything about him since you went to see him."

Goku nodded sadly. "I..." Suddenly a rumble shaked the room, causing the group to brace the table in fright and a few pictures, a plant pot in the window and some diagrams of various Capsule Corporation techs and theories fell from the walls.

Then after a few seconds it stopped.

"Was that an earthquake?" Trunks said with wide eyes, grasping onto Giru.

"It was. They were becoming more frequent when you all left, but they were only minor." Videl said. "Now they've becoming severe and even more devastating: the tectonic plates are shifting at an accelerated rate leading to high scale natural disasters, some major cities are falling to erosion and such. We're facing problems with the continuation on reconstruction, collapsing economy and funds to support refugees - the worlds literally falling apart because of those Black-Star Dragon Balls."

"You can tell you're a News Reporter." Trunks said sarcastically and Videl smiled a little at the response. "Anyway you heard her, now we've really got to concentrate on getting the girls and those balls back. So everyone let's get to work."

Goku's black hair wavered in the air as he flew over the deep dark blue sea below. He had just finished the dinner that Chi-Chi had made for him; he had missed his wife's cooking so much through these past months in space. He had enjoyed the food, but he couldn't help but feel a bitter taste in his mouth knowing that Pan and Bra were in the hands of some mad man. He closed his eyes. Dr. Raichi would get what he deserved tomorrow, he swore it.

He smiled a little, feeling the familiar energy signals below brought him some happiness. He opened his eyes to see the lone island with that little pink house coming into view as he descended.

Goku touched down on the island, feeling his boots sink into the soft sand a little and he stopped to breathe the salty air. He chuckled a little at the memories of this place, but then his thoughts went back to Krillin: he was the main reason for his presence here, remembering that sickening crunch as Krillin's back slammed against the floor in their battle with Gast made his knee's weaken a little. He gulped and approached the house.

Knock. Knock. Knock. He tapped white door. "Hello, Master Roshi? It's me, Goku. You home?"

Goku smiled when he heard the footsteps. The door opened and the small Master Roshi's body came into view, the turtle hermit wore a red bandana, his signature sun glasses, black vest with the white Kame Kanji in the centre and he wore baggy brown trouser with red shoes. He looked up at Goku, adjusted his sun glasses a grin appeared on his grey beard filled face as he laughed.

"Hey, it's Goku!" Roshi shouted.

Goku smiled and laughed as he heard familiar footsteps run down the stairs, and saw Krillin wearing a green shirt and black trousers.

"No way! Goku, you're back!" Krillin exclaimed happily running through the door and stood looking up at his best friend. Eighteen, Marron and Turtle soon stood behind him. Eighteen stared with her blue eyes, her short blonde hair was styled like Goku remembered, and she wore earrings, a pearl necklace with a long sleeved purple and aquamarine top and azure jeans with dark blue boots. Marron was now seventeen years old, long blonde hair in a pair of pig tails and a pink dress with orange shoes.

"Haha, good to see that you're only better now, Krillin."

"Yeah, bud. Bulma fixed my back up, and not to brag or anything but she also gave me a few advancement, I'm a Super Krillin now, ha, ha."

Eighteen sighed and rolled her eyes as Goku laughed but he gasped a little when he saw the horrifyingly familiar small red orb glimmer in his friend's palm, it brought very stressful memories of Android Nineteen and Gero back to him. But Goku quickly brushed it off not wanting to ruin the reunion.

"It's so great to see you all again." He turned to look at Roshi and back to the others. "Ha, ha I missed you."

Turtle perked up and crept forwards with a smile. "You missed me?" He put his head on the cement step smiling. "Aw, I missed you to."

"So you're back from space for good now, huh?" Roshi placed his slender arms behind his back.

"Not exactly, we kind of ran into a few problems out there..." Goku said with a sigh.

Krillin smiled and stepped forwards. "Say Goku; don't worry about it, why don't you come inside for a bit?"

Goku nodded and followed them inside and closed the door behind him.

Vegeta stood at the edge of the canyon and gazed at the sky above in thought as the sun lowered behind the rock formations welcoming the night.

'The Tuffles died in the Saiyan Tuffle Civil War. My Grandfather made sure of it, it's engraved in history. Frieza had helped the Saiyans to defeat them: figures that we'd fought to rid ourselves from slavery to just end up with an even more powerful ruler.' Vegeta sighed, even today he couldn't forget that nightmarish face, though he was now far stronger than Frieza he still couldn't help but feel like he was cornered by the monster: probably due to spending the majority of his life working under him and his less than grateful defeat to the tyrant...

He closed his eyes and grinded his teeth as his golden aura flashed upwards and around him. His black leather jacket fluttered a little as he stared at the air above; his tail had also become golden but still remained wrapped around his waist.

A searing pain ricocheted around his body. His skin burned, a small but noticeable pressure grew up his spine and ran through his heavily bruised muscles: a cruel reminder of last week's failure in his training and his Doctor appointment.

"The Tuffles died. I know they died, my Father said so." Vegeta shook his head. "...Though if there are survivor I am entitled as a Saiyan to kill them for what they did to us back then. I must hold their Saiyan pride and honour: I know it's what they would want." He clenched his fist and flared his aura. "This Raichi has taken things precious and dear to me and now they will pay for their sins. I swear it!"

"Talking to yourself again, Father?" Trunks' voice jolted through him, his Super Saiyan aura died down and his hair returned to its raven black.

"What do you want, boy?" Vegeta hissed.

Trunks cautiously stepped forwards and watched Vegeta as the silence winds from the Canyon made him shiver. He had felt his Father's energy whilst fixing Giru; it was still very angry and made him grimace. Goku and the others had opted to stay away but Trunks couldn't. Calming himself he thought over what he wanted to say and breathed in.

"Right Dad," Trunks said. "I know how angry you are. I understand that the sudden realisation that the Tuffles have returned has been humiliating for you and the Saiyans history, but still that is no reason for you to flip out. The fact is that we've got to confront them, not to kill them for so called honour, but to rescue Pan and Bra and to get back the Black-Star Dragon Balls because if you haven't noticed the world is going to shit right now and we need to fix it."

"Hn," Vegeta turned away from Trunks and crossed his arms as he starred in the sky again. "Looks like we need to get going then, right?"

"Dad, listen to me." He said authoritatively. "That's the point I'm getting at. You're rushing into things without thinking; you want to murder Raichi and the other Tuffles for some stupid old conflict. I want you to stay here and protect the Earth because if we take you to fight against the Tuffles as you are now you could very well jeopardise the whole mission and the girl's safety."

"And just how do you arrive at that conclusion?"

"Well for one, this Raichi has an advantage over us with having Pan and Bra captive. If we take you and you can't control you anger and downright attack him he could quite easily have your daughter and Pan killed. Not to mention the fact that you're injured which is another factor of why you shouldn't be going. I don't know what you're trying to accomplish with that tail and none us have wanted to ask... because, well of how you are." Trunks screamed in his head he hadn't meant it like that.

Vegeta turned to his son and glared into his shaking blue eyes. "You actually believe that I would tarnish our mission because you have the ridiculous notion that I'd lose control of myself? And my injury is trivial to all of this. I will be going and I will avenge the Saiyans for what those bastards did to us. It is for Saiyan Pride, our birthrights, our -"

"Oh shut up about the whole Saiyan Pride nonsense, alright?" Trunks gritted his teeth, he clenched his fists and he was shaking as he glared back at his Father's angry eyes. "What's pride even got to do with this anyway its all bullshit!"

"And what would you know of pride?! Stupid boy you know absolutely nothing about it." He began to circle his son still glaring as he walked around him. "What single ounces of pride have you ever shown? With all the slacking off work and training, being a playboy chasing around all those girls when you were younger with, Goten?" Vegeta clenched his fists. "Yeah that's definitely pride, you've shown yours, and there's none of it in your being unlike your better self."

Trunks gasped at Vegeta's word.

"You're just a counterpart of your Future version. He, my real son was full of honour, unlike you."

Trunks looked down. His lips wavered. He was trembling with anger, recalling the first time his Father had made that comparison and how much it made him hate the Future Trunks. "Well, Father... Maybe I'm not him, maybe I didn't grow up in a fucked up world with no Father, but you know perhaps that's why my other self is better for that exact reason." He looked up: his brow angled harshly, furious, glaring with tears forming on the base of his eyes. "He didn't grow up with you. And you know what it didn't matter anyway because the only major form of interaction I ever got from you was being tossed about and forced to train in the Gravity Chamber, all because you wanted me to be stronger than your rivals sons. You belittled me, made those harsh comments about me not being like my counterpart. I was given the Brave Sword from one of my first ever friends, someone who was more of a Dad to me than you were and you tried to force me to use that weapon despite knowing what kind of stress you were putting me under, again all because you wanted me to be someone I'm not. But, I did this anyway; just to make you happy. But is that what Saiyan Pride is? Getting tortured, brutalised and bullied by your own Father, well fuck that: if that's pride than I want nothing to do with it!"

Vegeta bowed his head.

"You tell tales about the great Saiyan race, filled with such proud and honourable warriors. Well that's fucking bullshit. The Saiyans were evil from what I've heard, killing, ravaging helpless civilisation that were beneath them for fun." Trunks clenched his fists, drawing blood. "Well news flash, Father – we're not them anymore, the Saiyan race has changed for the better, and the ones who didn't change died. They all died, under the slavery of some weakling who blew them up. You know the funny thing, as you say they fought the Tuffles to remove themselves from slavery, only to agree to wear another leash except this time it was owned by some other scumbag. And those are the so called great people you talk about, the so called great heritage you're proud of, Father? You never think of other people, you're only obsessed about yourself and your own motives and so called pride to ever care about how your actions might affect other people!"

"...Trunks..." Vegeta held up his right black leather fingerless gloved hand. "Please, son..." He said softly. "Please stop, you've said what you had to."

Trunks' anger faded, his harsh eyes returned to reason and quivered a little. He saw his Father, with his head bowed, with one hand held up for mercy. His once anger filled face was turned into one of sorrow. Vegeta sniffed, he was actually crying something that Trunks thought was impossible.

"Father... I'm...I'm so sorry,"

Vegeta lifted his head up. He looked at Trunks with red tear stained eyes and smiled. "Don't worry... It's okay Trunks. You're my Son, I'm proud of you I always have been."

Trunks felt like there was a brick in the back of his throat. "Father..." He choked and sobbed. "I'm so sorry for what I said." He stepped forwards and hugged his Father. Vegeta hugged him back and closed his eyes as the tears ran down his face.

"It's okay, Trunks. You said what you had to and I apologies for all my harsh actions against you. When you stopped training I got so angry and delusional; believing that my own offspring must be like me in every way. But, I see now. I've been foolish, I've let my pride and heritage control me, and you're right about it being bad. You know every time I can think of it had lead me into disastrous times: my failed attack on, Frieza. Allowing Cell to reach his Perfect State and getting pulverised by him after. Letting Babadi control me and thus, enabling Majin Buu's release. Countless times, I've put my family, my friends and so many people in danger, for the sake of my own selfish ego. I'm sorry for putting you and everyone all through this."

Trunks sniffled and began to wail against Vegeta's shoulder.

"I promise if I come with you I won't allow my pride to consume me. I will get my daughter and Gohan's daughter back safely, I promise."

Trunks smiled. "Thank you, Father. I love you."

"I love you to, my son."

Goku had finished his story. He took a sip of his tea and placed it on the glass table, sitting next to him on the red sofa was Krillin and Marron, on the opposite red sofa sat Roshi, Turtle and Eighteen with her hand on the armrest. The Television was on in the background, the news, but they weren't paying much attention.

"Wow, so Tien and Chiaotzu were from another planet this whole time, that's amazing. Though the third-eye should have given it away I guess." Krillin laughed as he looked at Goku who smiled half-heartedly.

"Looks like you've had a rough time," Roshi said, placing both hands on his cane. "Who would have thought there would be people out there in space who could actually give you any trouble?"

"Yeah, don't get me wrong I liked the challenge, but... I can't stop thinking about Pan and Bra."

Marron turned, worry in her eyes. "You're going to get them back, right?"

Goku smiled sadly. "Of course I will, I promise. Me, Vegeta, Trunks and Goten are all going."

Krillin nodded and stared at him with a serious expression. "I'm coming with you, Goku."

"Huh?" Goku looked up, surprised. "Are you sure?"

"Yeah, you'll need a little Krillin-Time to look out for you all. I could very well be your last hope as per usual." Krillin said sarcastically with his eyes closed.

"Hadn't you better ask your wife first?" Roshi gestured towards Eighteen and Krillin frowned at the laughing old Master.

Eighteen rolled her eyes and looked at Krillin. "You can go. Be sure to run if it gets too tough for you, which will probably be as soon as you get into space."

Roshi bit his lip, holding back his laughter and Turtle covered his mouth.

"Oh, ha, ha, ha. Yeah, Krillin's weak, yeah funny laugh it up." Krillin mocked and turned to the TV.

"...In the past several months, an estimation of ten million people has lost their lives from these strange natural disasters alone." The news reporter said, and Goku's face hardened as he looked away. "Scientists and even Doctor Wheelo and are baffled as they determine the cause, and many popular Internet theories have claimed the End of Day's to Global Warming and even that alien's -"

The television blacked out. Krillin put the remote back on the glass table and turned his eyes back at Goku's sad ones.

"All those people..." Goku finally said. "They've all died because I've slacked off and haven't brought those Black-Star Dragon Balls back yet..."

"Goku it's not your fault, you shouldn't -"

"No, Krillin. It is my fault, if I hadn't taken my time I could have brought the Black-Star Dragon Balls back months ago, the girls would be safe, all those people wouldn't have died." Goku clenched his fists, thinking of the Dragon Balls that could be used anymore... Or could they?

"Perhaps, Goku, but even so thanks to you, Trunks and the girls many planets have been saved. If you hadn't have gone to Helior, that Emperor would be still killing many of the innocence. You saved them all, remember that everything happens for a reason." Roshi said, removing his sun glasses and he stared at his former pupil. He had never seen him of all people like this before.

Goku nodded and forced a smile.

The next morning... 13th December Age 789...

"So is everyone ready for this?"

They were stood in the massive Capsule Corporation launch bay once again, the Capsule Corporation G spaceship stood tall in front of them. Goku had asked the question, dressed in his usual orange Gi and tightened his blue belt. Goten was beside him: he wore orange Gi like his Father's only his had black trousers with a black long laced belt, and he had cut his black hair so now it was shorter on the back and spiked on the front. Next to Goten was Krillin in an orange fighting shirt and black trousers, turtle hermit Kanji on the back of the shirt. Following him was Ledgic and after that walking together was Vegeta and Trunks, both of them were dressed in blue spandex, white Saiyan armour on top with the Capsule Corporation logo imprinted on the left chest plate.

Bulma nodded, standing behind the group by the grey elevator with Chi-Chi, Gohan, Videl, Krillin, Eighteen, Marron and Valese who ran up to the group in front.

"Goten!" She shouted with concern in her brown eyes, her long brown hair wavered as she ran. She wore yellow earrings, a black necklass and a yellow dress short dress. Goten turned and she jumped into his arms and the two hugged.

"Hey what's up?" Goten said bewildered.

"I'm worried about you, you're going into space and who knows what's out there." She had tears pricking at the base of her eyes as she looked up at Goten.

"Don't worry about me," Goten smiled and put his hand to Valese's and kissed her on the lips. "I'll be finished in no time and I'll be right back here with you, I promise." They stared into each other's eyes.

Vegeta let out a loud audible sigh.

"I'm going to throw up. We do not have the time for making doe eyes at one another." Vegeta barked and crossed his arms. "We have far more important matters to deal with."

At this moment, Bulma walked up to Vegeta and rolled her eyes. "Aren't you going to give me a kiss goodbye, Vegeta?"

"Woman, not now..." He shouted in whispered tone feeling humiliated and embarrassed, feeling everyone gawking at him. He sighed and surrendered, he and Bulma hugged each other before kissing.

Goten whistled and walked past with his hands on his hips. "Are you two quite finished yet? I recall that we have far more important matters to attend to you know." He grinned.

Vegeta blushed and hissed. "Shut up!" He shouted and they all walked to the ship as Bulma smiled before turning back to Valese and the others. "Come on let's head up to the balcony and see them off."

Dzz,

The white elevator ascended through the Spaceship and Trunks opened the black door that lead to the Control Room. He sighed when he looked at the black-chair, the memories of when they first set off on this whole adventure, Pan and Bra had sneaked in and sat on that very chair before they abruptly blasted off. He missed them even though his sister annoyed the living hell out of him; he still loved her and wanted her back.

Vegeta stepped forwards and examined the small room. White tiled floor, soft white plastic looking walls and one large window on top of the ship; apparently the room would rotate so that the window could be actually used to see through. He noticed the single black chair and frowned in annoyance as Trunks sat in it and started fiddling with the panel.

"You'd think with all that technology that woman has she would be able to add a few more seats,"

Goku chuckled. "Hey it doesn't matter, Vegeta. We've always got the floor to sit on and it's comfier than it looks," He turned to Ledgic who was sat on the floor with arms crossed and his eyes closed. "See look at Ledgic he likes it."

"I will not be reduced nor will I adhere to your ridiculous statue," Vegeta leaned against the wall and folded his arms.

"Okay it's your loss, buddy." Goku said, sitting with Goten and Krillin.

"Everyone, ready?" Trunks called, he had just finished inputting the coordinates and was ready to set off. He heard everyone agree in acceptance. "Right hold on," He said pulling down the lever.

The ship rumbled and lifted into the air above Capsule Corporation before seemingly vanishing in blitz of speed into space on its final mission.

And we're back with the first chapter of the Avenger chapter. This one got a bit delayed due to life stuff, and I have to say I'm not completely happy with how it turned out.

A few notes to cover:

Synopsis – I put this up as a brief reminder of the events of the Universal Saga, and to answer any unanswered questions like "How does the Dragon Radar pick up the BSDB's in space?" and some other questions.

Trunks and Vegeta's conversation – This scene was inspired by Elbadj's Dragon Ball XV, I always thought that a Father-Son heart to heart conversation was needed between these two, and I always had a feeling that Vegeta would compare the present and future Trunks' as one being greater than the other.

Now we move to the Q&A:

Q: So this is Hailza's history, nice, nice.

A: Thanks for feedback; I was unsure on how people would take to his history.

Q: Great chapter really liked this one. I like how you expanded on Hailza's family and gave us a bit of Frieza's struggle to.

A: Thank you, I'm glad to hear you liked it.

Q: Keep it up, I can't wait to see the Avenger Saga and I'm guessing Baby will come about soon?

A: Aha, now that would be telling. ;)
