NOTE: Thanks for the comment! =) I'm sorry I was late in putting this out. Almost done now!

HEERO

He slammed the cab door shut and stared at the door of their place. Really, he needed to have a chat with the Chinese pilot, especially about sneaking away without waiting for Heero.

'He's left already,' Trowa murmured quietly to him.

Glancing to his right, he grunted, guess he wasn't being subtle enough.

'About 15 minutes ago,' Trowa supplied rather helpfully. That meant this conversation was not over. 'You're going to have to make that decision soon.'

Yup, this was turning into a long night and he had to deal with Trowa before he headed home to Wufei.

'I'm not going to hurt him,' he said it confidently.

'I never said you would.'

'I'd rather die than do anything dishonourable.'

'And again, I never said you wouldn't.'

Sighing he looked the Heavyarms pilot in the eyes and tried to convey without too many words, 'Trust me, Trowa.'

Those brown eyes stared at him intently and saw what he was trying to convey and smiled softly before saying, 'Good luck. I'll keep the others distracted long enough.'

Entering the house, he paused at the doorstep and tried to gauge where Wufei would be. He heard the shower running and grinned. Perfect place for an ambush. Smirking to himself, he slipped out of his shoes, shucked his jacket off and headed towards the bathroom.

He sneaked in quietly and had to pause and take in the sight. Wufei was standing under the spray rinsing off the shampoo suds from his hair, his muscled body a glistening brown was enough to get his body responding again. He could watch that body for hours, clothed or not and he would never get bored. But it wasn't just the body, it had to be this man before him.

'You're just a politician. We are soldiers. Politicians need soldiers. It's not the other way around I'm afraid.'

Relena was stunned when she realized the threats she had laid before Heero were not going to work in her favour. She glared at Zechs and tried to say something again, but he matched her look and said softly, 'It's over, Relena.'

Guess there really was a sibling bond there, if he was able to shut her down. She then turned to Heero and said, 'You loved me!'

Almost like a child who didn't get her favourite treat and throwing a tantrum demanding it happen. He took a deep breath, maybe she would listen this time, 'After the war, I was numb. Food was a necessity to survive. Nothing made me feel alive. Sleeping with you was one of those things that I thought would make me feel alive.' He could see Zechs stare a little at him, and then look at Relena with pity in his eyes. The blonde pilot understood what he had gone through.

Relena of course saw that pity and it chafed because the next thing she said, 'You cant say that it's different with that-'

'Relena,' Zechs warned.

'…with that pilot,' she finished lamely but fire in her eyes.

'His name is Chang Wufei. And not that it is any of your business, but, the entire relationship between us makes me feel alive and grateful to be by his side,' Heero bit out.

He could feel the blonde pilot's eyes on him, but didn't break eye contact with Relena. She looked away first and said, 'So I'm to look like a fool among the entire federation!'

Looking back at Zechs then, they both filled her in on what her role could be at the Preventers Press Conference, if she was willing to let Heero go.

'Since you're here, might as well get me some clothes,' a grumpy voice shook him out of his musing. Glaring ebony eyes said, 'I forgot to bring some.'

Grinning he had to ask, 'I don't see why you need it.'

'Tsk,' his grumpy lover flared and toweled off in haste, all while Heero's eyes followed those quick movements on the Chinese pilot's body. Oh to be that towel, right about now, he exhaled slowly.

Looking into his Chinese lover's face, he saw the confusion and the war of emotions moving across his features. Smiling softly, he looked on patiently waiting to see what Wufei would do. There really was never a dull moment with the Shenlong pilot, speaking of-

'You left without me,' no censure in his voice.

'You looked busy,' no commitment in that voice.

'Never for you,' he could hear the heat in his voice, and the flush on Wufei's face signaled that he had too.

'Yes, well, err,' Wufei cast around for something to distract the Wing pilot with and tried inching his way to the bathroom door.

Settling his back on the bathroom door, he blocked the Shenlong pilot's escape and looked expectantly at the smaller man.

'..Don't,' Wufei swallowed and tried again, 'Don't you have to take a bath?'

'You staying to watch.'

'I, … err,' Wufei really was struggling.

Closing the gap between them Heero hooked the Chinese pilot around the waist and brought him closer and then said, 'What comes next Wufei?'

Ebony eyes looked really confused and stared into his eyes. Heero decided to help him out a little, 'I don't know if I love you,' those eyes dimmed a little in pain, 'but I do know that I love having you around me. You make me feel alive. The passion in your eyes, the way you move, the sound of your voice. Everything about you. You, Wufei, you make me feel alive. I don't know if this is love, but I know I don't want to let it go. Ever. I'm going to stay. I want to stay, for however long you want me.'

He looked quietly at Wufei, who looked stunned and then suddenly, that beautiful smile spread through his face, 'You mean..'

'I don't think this is gratitude for getting me away from Relena. I don't think this is gratitude for joining Preventers or finding a purpose in my life again. I'm not going to do you that injustice of staying with you out of duty. I know I want to be here,' Heero continued.

He didn't want Wufei to think any of those things. Trowa was right, he would have probably stayed out of duty, but that was moot point now. He needed Wufei and Wufei, needed him. Looking at that necklace and the ring around it, he held onto it as if to prove his point.

He opened his mouth to say all that and more when Wufei smiled and said, 'Shut up Heero. Now, that you've confessed to me,' a quick peck on the lips he asked cheekily, 'What comes next, Heero?'

Snorting Heero kissed the smaller pilot thoroughly and growled, 'I get to punish you for making me run behind you and get you to accept a different ring, that one's horrible.'

'Promises, promises, well if you must. There really is no other way,' Wufei panted out.

'No. There really is no other way,' Heero concurred dragging his lover to their bedroom. He had a lot to do and so little time.
