Chapter 21: A Score to Settle Part 1
Yusei and his friends made a stop for minute. "Crow glad you're alright." Cosmo said smiling. Crow blushed a bit. "Hey you guys, let's stick to our mission!" Trudge yelled. "Oh right, so Yusei is Kalin next?" Crow asked.
"Yes he and I have a score to settle." Yusei replied as he drove off to meet Kalin.
"(Get ready Kalin cause here I come!)" He thought. The rest of his friends he was with followed him. "(Man Yusei sure has got his work cut up I hope he brought his A game.)" Crow thought.
"You guys think Yusei is scared?" Luna asked. "Yusei's not scared of anything he's the best there is." Leo said. Luna smiled as he looked at her right arm.
Yusei then noticed the control tower and in front of it was Kalin. "Heh good to see you." He said as he drove towards Yusei. Yusei noticed him and they drove very fast towards each other but then they stopped abruptly.
"Ha ha ha glad you could stop by!" Kalin said laugh. "My pleasure." Yusei said. "I see you got your Duel Runner up and running again I was afraid you weren't going to show up after you sold me out." Kalin said.
"You've got it all wrong." Yusei said. "Do I?" Kalin asked.
a flashback scene.
"Heh heh heh I haven't gone far enough now listen this the moment we've been waiting after this battle Satellite will be ours, you hear that Sector Security the Enforcers are going to run you all out of here!" Kalin called out.
"You all can try but you will fail in the end." The chief replied.
Yuesi and his friends fled but then they got separated. Yusei then found Kalin next to Sector Security officer on the ground who was knocked out. Yusei charged at him and pushed to Kalin the ground.
a short time later
Kalin was caught and being taken away by two officers but not before he saw the Chief patting Yusei on his shoulder. Kalin was disgusted. "How could you who!?" He screamed.
Yusei back off wondering what was Kalin's problem. "Yusei you snitch how could you sell out your best friend like this?" He asked. Yusei realized he must've saw the chief pat his shoulder.
"No Kalin you're wrong!" Yusei said. Kalin was thrown into the Sector Security van. "Mark my words you'll pay traitor!" Kalin screamed as the doors slammed.
end of flashback.
"Kalin I'm no traitor." Yusei spat. "Ha ha ha well you could've fooled me." Kalin said with maniac laugh. "Now let's settle this once and for all."
Crow noticed Kalin and Yusei were getting ready to duel. He then saw a bridge which was not too far. "Hey guys follow me." He said as he drove to the nearby bridge. They made it to top of the bridge. "Did anyone bring binoculars?" Leo asked.
"Now let's get started." Kalin said as he let out his right arm and then the purple light appeared which was the Mark of the Giant. "Their Shadow Duel has started." Shadow said.
"Right be careful." Luna said.
Meanwhile Jack was making his way find Carly then he noticed Kalin's mark with the sky. "Yusei must've found Kalin." He said. "Its time Yusei." Kalin said. "Time for what?" Yusei asked.
"Time for me to send you to the Netherworld." Kalin replied. "(I can't believe the friend that always protected me is the friend that wants to hurt me.)" Yusei thought. Yusei rememberd he almost fell off a building then Kalin saved him.
"(I know Kalin is still my friend and now I"m going to get him back.)" Yusei thought as he rose his right arm. Crow and others were watching Yusei's duel on Crow runner using the monitor.
"Kalin maybe an old friend Yusei but don't let that stop you." Crow said. Yusei and Kalin activated their Duel modes. Crow then walked closely to the screen on his Runner. "Hey Kalin!" He said. "Well Crow you're still around heh heh heh." Kalin said with a chuckle. Shadow and Cosmo approached the screen. "Oh Shadow and Cosmo are here too." He said. "Yes we're here to help Yusei." Cosmo said. "Look Kalin if Yusei falls then I'll take you on." Shadow said.
"Shadow I'll win so just believe in me." Yusei said.
"Let's start shall we?" Kalin asked. Yusei nodded.
Yusei: 4000
Kalin: 4000
"Let's duel!" They proclaimed.
"Hey Yusei whoever makes to the first corner gets to go first." Kalin said. "Fine then." Yusei said. Kalin then noticed Yusei was driving a fast a bit. "(Looks like he gave his Duel Runner a Tune up.)" He thought.
Kalin then bumped into Yusei causing him to drive against the dark wall. "Looks like I go first." Kalin said as he made it to the first corner.
"I draw I summon Infernity Necromancer!" Kalin proclaimed.
Infernity Necromancer: Defense 2000
"(That can only mean one thing he must planning to use that handless combo he used in our last duel.)" Yusei thought. "Then I'll end my turn with face down." Kalin said. "You're up Yusei but there's nothing that you can do that will save you from my wrath."
"We'll see about that!" Yusei said drawing a card. Yusei went quietly. "(Kalin I remember when things started to get out of hand like if it was yesterday we took out all the Duel Gangs and made the Satellite a safer place.)"
He also remembered when he and his teammates met Miles own team and becoming friends with them.
He frowned after what Kalin was started to give them a new mission.
Flashback scene.
"Alright guys we've managed to win and defeat all the Duel Gangs but we can rest up in other words we must find anyone else that has Duel Disk and defeat them so the gangs can't regroup." Kalin explained.
Crow sighed. Yusei was having bad feeling but did what Kalin said. He and Crow found two guys a tall guy and young guy.
Yusei dueled the tall guy and won.
Crow managed to catch up with young man after he tripped. "Have a nice trip?" Crow asked. He was just about to activate his duel disk when he noticed the young man was just a kid who was shaking with fright.
"Please let me go." The boy said shaking. "Get out of here." Crow said putting his duel disk down. The boy looked him with confused face. "You heard me now get going." Crow said.
The boy ran away as he passed Yusei. "What'd you let him go?" Yusei asked. Crow walked in front of a wall and punched it. Crow sobbed a bit. "Hey are you okay?" Yusei asked. "Nooo this wasn't I signed up for." Crow replied sadly.
Suddenly they heard a scream. It was a the boy Crow spared and he was defeated by Kalin. The boy collapsed and Kalin raised his left foot to crush him. "Maybe you'll think twice about running from the Enforcers." Kalin said laughing maniacally.
Crow then charged into Kalin. "Hey Kalin cut it out!" He said as he knocked himself and Kalin onto the ground.
Crow then turned to face the boy. "Hey kid get out of here!" Kalin got up slowly. "You're gonna regret you ever did that Crow!" Kalin spat as he punched his friend in the stomach.
Yusei noticed this but first told the boy to run. "Get going kid." He said as the boy ran away. "Kalin Crow stop it now!" Yusei shouted. Kalin was just about punch Crow again but was stopped by Jack while Yusei got ahold of Crow from behind.
"Get your hands off me right now you got that Yusei!" Crow yelled. Yusei released his friend. "Argh don't you guys see we've become the thugs we worked so hard to get rid of around here?" Crow asked.
"If this what the Enforcers are all about then I want out!"
"What are you saying?" Kalin asked. "I'm saying I'm through being your puppet." Crow replied as he walked away. "You can't turn your back on your buddies come on Crow the Enforcers are all you got left." Kalin said. Jack then left as well.
"Hey where are you going, Jack Crow stop fooling around." Kalin said as he turned to look at Yusei. "Yusei you're not going to leave too are you I mean aren't we friends?"
Yusei nodded.
"(When Crow and Jack left Kalin I knew they were doing the right thing but I didn't have it in me to abandon him I knew what it was like to be alone and no one deserves that pain.)" He thought.
"Hurry up and make your move traitor." Kalin said.
"I summon Max Warrior in attack mode!" Yusei proclaimed.
Max Warrior: Attack 1800
"Thanks to the power of my monster your beast is a goner!" Yusei proclaimed. Max Warrior charged with it's staff. "(You may think I'm a traitor Kalin but I'm gonna risk ever thing to prove you wrong.)" He thought.
(Also I need know in order to get through Kalin is to give everthing I got.)" He thought. "Hey Yusei are you sure you want to do that your Max Warrior is no match for my Infernity Necromancer's Defense power."
"Then I activate my Max Warrior's ability you see when it attacks he gains 400 attack points." Yusei explained.
Max Warrior: Attack 2200
"Go Max Warrior Swift Rush attack." Yusei commanded. Max Warrior began to swift his Staff rapidly and destroying the Kalin's Necromancer.
"Now until my next turn Max Warrior's attack power reduces by half as well as it's level." Yusei explained.
Max Warrior: Attack 900 Level 4-2
"(You may think that's a lot to sacrifice but that's nothing compared to when I stayed by your side when Jack and Crow left.)" Yusei thought.
another flashback.
Yusei and Kalin were on a building when they noticed Sector security chief and three officers on Duel Runners. "Hey Kalin are those Duel Runners?" He asked. "Sure is they're all unstoppable cause of it." Kalin replied.
"Now let's go men and show these Duel Gangs what these Duel Runners can do so let's move out!" Chief said. "Sir!" The three officers proclaimed.
Kalin then had a smirk on his face.
A short time later the Chief found and cornered one Duel Gang. "There's no point in running you can't escape from the power and speed of this new Runner." He said. "Fine then I was getting tired." The man said.
"I summon Skullknight Number 2!"
"You'll regret that I summon Assualt Dog in Attack mode!: The Chief said. The big dog charged through Skull Knight and bounced on the man. "I surrender you win!" He screamed.
Meanwhile back at Yusei and Kalin hideout.
"Kalin are you saying you want to take on Sector Security?" Yusei asked. "That's right the Enforcers came together to be ride of Duel Gangs and what be more fitting to the last Enforcers to against the ultimate Duel Gang Sector Security when they're gone our home would be truly ours so go round up Jack, Crow, and Team Heroes it's time for us to battle together." Kalin said.
"Are you listening to yourself, we'll all end up in the Facility!" Yusei yelled as he pound his hands on the table Kalin was sitting in front of. "Well living like this is already a prison sentence." Kalin growled. Yusei grabbed Kalin by his shirt but he let him go. "Kalin I'm sorry but I can't be apart of this plan you're not thinking clearly anymore if you're going to do this well you're on your own." Yusei said as he walked away.
"Wait Yuse!" Kalin said. Yusei didn't turn around as he walked out of the hideout Kalin wasn't sad he just made a creepy grin. "(I thought you wouldn't go after Sector Security after I left but I should've known better and I should've know once you made up your mind there no changing it and you were the one against Sector Security and neither of you would give up until either you or Sector Security surrendered once I learned that confiscate duel disks were planted with electric pulse charges were responsible for wiping out Securities main frame I realized that the first move was already made and that's when I've should've stayed and try to reason with you.)" He thought remembering the night Kalin started to attack Sector Security.
Kalin insert a card in his duel disk. "Information is power!"
The duel disks that were Security officers had exploded. Kalin heard it. "Ha ha ha and without it you're nothing." Kalin laughed. Then several Sector Security officers came driving towards the Satellite.
"Catch me if you can." Kalin said as he ran off.
Meanwhile Crow was dueling a one of the kids he was looking after. Then another boy came from behind him. "Crow Yusei sent me to get you it seems that Kalin attacked Sector Security headquarters." The boy explained. Crow was shocked.
Crow then found Jack in old building which had throne chair. Yusei went to find Team Heroes. He managed to find them in nearby alley and explained what happened.
Yusei and his friends split up to find Kalin. In an old building Kalin was hiding in the shadows. "Come out Satellite with you hands up!" The chief called out. Kalin got out his deck and inserted it into his Duel Disk. "(I hope they're ready for a fight cause I'm up for it.)" He thought.
Crow, Jack, and Yusei arrived along with Miles, Cosmo, and Shadow. "Ha ha ha I knew I just knew you all wouldn't miss this the Enforcers are back and better than ever." Kalin said as he got up on his feet. "Listen Kalin we're not here to fight we're going to try and end this." Jack said. "Yeah you've gone too far this time." Crow spat. "Yeah Sector Security will get you for what you did." Cosmo said looking worried. "Hmph." Shadow said not looking happy with Kalin. "Indeed you've gone too far." Miles said with his arms crossed.
Kalin just laughed. "I haven't gone far enough now listen up this the moment we've been waiting for after this duel Satellite will be ours." Kalin said as he walked towards a broken window. "You hear that Sector Security the Enforcers and Team Heroes are going to run you all out of here!"
"I can end this." Yusei whispered.
end of flashback.
"(Really I thought I could I was naïve and worried about you I let you down but I've learned my lesson I want let you down again if I could go back then do all over I could just like when you risked everything for me that day.)"
Yusei remembered again when Kalin saved him from falling off a building. "Now I'm risking everything for you)" He thought. "Yusei's got the upper hand." Trudge said. "(Yeah but for how long?)" Crow asked.
"I place three cards face down and end my turn." Yusei said.
"First I place face down and trigger the trap Limit End Pulse by sending two cards from my hand to the graveyard I summon to Soul Tokens." Kalin said.
Soul Tokens: Attack 0
"By releasing this two tokens I can advance Summon Dark Tuner Nightmare Hand.
Dark Tuner Nightmare Hand: Attack 0
Yusei then realized that Kalin was going to use the same combo he used before in their first Shadow Duel. "Sorry Yusei by activating my Nightmare Hand's ability I can Special Summon a level two monster from my hand." Kalin explained. "I choose Infernity Dwarf."
Infernity Dwarf: Attack 800
"(Uh oh his hand's empty.)" Yusei thought getting worried. "Now I Dark Tune my Nightmare Hand with my Infernity Dwarf to Dark Synchro Summon Hundred Eyes Dragon!" Kalin proclaimed. "When Shadow are devoured by even dark shadows the curtain pulls back and reveals a world without light!"
Hundred Eyes Dragon: Attack 3000
"Are you glad to see my Dragon again, cause I am since your Max Warrior is so weak so it looks like I'm going to get my revenge sooner that I expected." Kalin said. "Go Infernity Sight Stream!
The Dragon fired it's dark fiery breath Yusei's warrior.
Yusei: 1900
"That attack just put Kalin back in the drivers seat." Crow said. "Yusei better come up with plan and fast." Cosmo said. "Come on Yusei!" The Leo said. "In that case I activate this trap Revival Ticket now if one of my monters is destroyed and if I send one of my facedown cards I can power up my life point and I can bring back the monster that was just destroyed so come back Max Warrior." Yusei explained.
Max Warrior: Attack 1800
"You can't!" Kalin spat.
"I can Kalin and since I destroyed my Limit Breaker early I can summon Speed Warrior." Yusei explained.
Speed Warrior: Attack 900
"Yusei's the best!" Leo said. "I hate to admit it but you maybe right Leo." Trudge said agreeing. "You were always the clever one, but how do plan to take down my Dragon?" Kalin asked.
"Just watch." Yusei said drawing a card. "(Kalin does has a point but who said my monsters would have to.)" He thought looking at his last three cards in his hand.
I play the trap Card of Sacrifice now if the total of my monsters attack points are less that your monsters attack points I get to draw two more cards the only downside is I can't change my monsters battle mode." Yusei explained.
"You've just left yourself wide open revenge is mine." Kalin said. "Remember my trap card lets me draw two cards." Yusei said as placed two cards down thus ending his turn.
" I draw then." Kalin said. "I place a face down and activate Hundred Eyes Dragon's ability he can copy an ability of any Dark monster from my graveyard and I choose Infernity Necromancer therefore I can summon Special Summon Infernity Archfiend.
Infernity Archfiend: Attack 1800
"I was hoping you'd do that so I activate Slip Summon which lets me summon a level 4 or lower from my hand and I choose Ghost Gardna in defense." Yusei said.
Ghost Gardna: Defense 1900
"It makes no difference who you call out there's nothing that can stop my Dragon's wrath." Kalin said. "Now my Dragon destroy Speed Warrior."
The dark Dragon fired it's dark fiery breath at Speed Warrior. 'My Warrior isn't going anywhere you see my Ghost Gardna's ability can make it the target of your Dragon's attack instead." Yusei explained.
"Quite the nifty move but I activate my Dragon's ability I let it copy my Infernity Dwarf's ability and since I have no cards in my hand if my Dragon attacks a monster with less defense points you still take the difference as damage." Kalin explained.
Yusei: 2900
Yusei was attacked by the Dragon so hard that his Duel Runner began to spin around but he managed to gain control. "Now that you're back on track I think it's time for me to get serious and end this once and for all!" Kalin said.
