A/N: This is the only author's note in this chapter and I just wanted to say… THIS IS MY FORMAL APOLOGY TO YOU ALL. Okay, I am sorry, and starting after this update, I will be updating more frequently. Like every one to two weeks frequently, if I can. Anyways, if I don't, then make sure to blame school. Now, onto the chapter!
Warning: This chapter will contain a lot of flashbacks. You've been warned.
Ally was huddled underneath a table, biting the hell out of her fingernails. No, it is here. He is going to say no. I can feel it in my bones, she thought. She sighed and rubbed her temple with one hand, careful not to make any noise. "Ally, where the bustling hell are you?"
She tensed. Crap, Macy was looking for her. And she had replaced a swear word with a normal, real word.
And she was going to be in so much shit for what she was pulling.
"Allison, get your butt of hiding or I will!" Macy yelled.
Ally gulped, suddenly thankful that the tablecloth was fairly long enough. She went even quieter (hell, if that was possible) and counted to see if Macy would leave in the ten seconds she was thinking of. "Ally!" The girl only got louder. "Get out of that spot of yours!" She roared.
Ally sniffled and looked at the top of the table. "He will say yes, I promise he will. Austin loves you and that round ass stomach of yours. I promise he will say yes."
She glanced down at their stomach and smiled softly. She remembered the day she told Austin about their child… after he pushed back the day of their damn wedding.
Flashback
Ally paced around hers and Austin's room, fingering the small, golden band on her finger. She down at it and smiled. She couldn't believe Austin had 'bought' the gold band to signify his absolute love for her. She brought her hand to her lips and kissed the band lovingly. "I love you, Austin," she whispered.
"I guess I love you, too," a cold, masculine voice said.
Ally jumped a bit, but smile, seeing as it was only Austin. She was grateful he had changed his ways (he was still cold, when he wasn't talking with a voice full of love, anger or happiness (sometimes embarrassment too). It was quite strange). She walked up to him and hugged his waist tightly.
Slowly, and hesitantly, Austin hugged her back, his cheeks tinging bright pink. Ally pulled back and huffed, puffing her cheeks a bit as she looked at him. "You'd think that because we shared moments and have kissed in front of everyone multiple times, you would be more open to affections. And show a little more emotions," she stated with the raise of her brows.
Austin frowned and tilted his head to the side. "I do show emotions."
"Not enough," Ally murmured under her breath.
Austin's frown deepened as he walked past her and dropped a bag on the bed. Ally sighed and turned around, hands on her hips. "Austin, what'd you steal this time?" she questioned.
She was happy he stopped murdering innocent humans, but the stealing just seemed to… stick.
So much that her own mother had actually made him return the things he stole back to the village one time.
And she had to admit, she loved the look of fear on her fiancé's face. It was quite hilarious to see.
Austin looked at her and raised a brow. "Just some vases I saw, nothing more," he explained.
Ally sighed and walked over to him, grabbing both his hands. He looked at her weirdly as she sat down, dragging him with her. "Austin, we have to talk," she said softly.
A look of alarm etched its way onto his face and he gulped. Suddenly, and scaring Ally in the process, Austin jumped off the bed and dropped to his knees. He placed his elbows on her legs and Ally's brows rose to her hairline. He clasped his hands together looked up at her. His eyes were wide, glistening with unshed tears. A pout formed on his mouth and Ally suddenly wanted kiss. And do other impure things to him. Damn hormones, she thought. "Don't leave me, please. I promise not to do anything wrong to you or anyone ever again," he pleaded. "Please Ally, I won't–"
Ally tuned out his ranting in shock. Did Austin really think she was planning on leaving him? Maybe she would've considered that a couple months back while enduring his harsh treatment… but now? She just couldn't leave him. She loved him. So much it hurt her.
"¬–I promise, I promise. I won't hurt you–"
She pursed her lips in thought. Maybe I should just blurt it out, she pondered. "Er… Austin…" He stopped his ranting, the tears threatening to fall. "I am not leaving you… I'm… I'm… Iampregnantwithyourchild," she rushed out in one breath.
Austin paled and his eyes widened considerably. "What?" he exclaimed.
Ally chuckled. "Yes, Austin, I'm pregnant," she said, feeling more confident.
The tears in Austin's eyes fell down freely as he laughed happily. He buried his face in her stomach. "I love you," he whispered.
Ally smiled and kissed the top of her stomach. "I love you, too, Austin."
End of Flashback
"ALLISON!" Macy yelled.
Ally jumped up, hitting her head on the top of the table and effectively giving away her cover. She groaned and rubbed her head, not even realizing Macy's rapid footsteps coming her way. "Ow," she whispered.
The tablecloth was pulled back and Ally stilled in fear, looking at the furious female. She gave her a nervous laugh and smile. "Mace… I was just looking for – ah! Mace, stop! I am sorry!" she yelled.
Before she could finish her first sentence, Macy had grabbed her foot and dragged her out from underneath the table. She gripped her stomach out of sheer fear. Macy had realized this and dropped her, covering her mouth. "Don't tell Austin!" she squeaked.
Ally laughed and sat up straight. "I won't… I was just worried that I might lose her," she whispered softly as she rubbed her bulging stomach.
Macy snickered and covered her eyes. "Austin says it's a boy."
Ally frowned. "Hell no. It's a girl. Since Jasper had found out that Austin was his dad, he's been trying to act like him," she explained, shaking his head. "It's quite disappointing, actually."
Macy chuckled and a twinkle entered her eyes. "I remember that."
Flashback
Jasper curiously looked up at Kira, his eyes wide and innocent. "Why did I have to come here, Miss Kira?" he asked.
Kira smiled, his innocence just being so adorable to her. "Well, I have to explain something to you."
He nodded and looked at Ally and Austin, one of which pale after finding out what he was going to find out. "Sweetie, look at your skin." He glanced at his skin and looked back up at her, confusion written all over his face. "It's a mixture of one colour with another. Don't you see?" she asked.
Jasper's eyes widened in amazement as he looked excitedly at his own skin. "Cool!" He paused for a moment and his face contorted into one of confusion. "But how?" he asked.
Austin shakily smiled at the boy, his face still pale. "When two people love each other…" he said, a faraway look in his eyes.
Ally covered her mouth to make sure she didn't laugh. Kira smirked and patted the smaller boy's head. "Don't listen to him, he's a little dazed."
"I should've stayed a virgin," Austin commented, looking around the room with that look in his eyes. "How'd this happen?"
Jasper furrowed his brows in confusion at him and looked back at his own adoptive mother. "I don't understand," he stated, playing with a loose thread on his shirt. He shifted on his foot slightly. "What's a vir–"
"And so, you're not Ally's biological – I mean – real child," she said, cutting him off. Jasper nodded and Kira cleared her throat. "So, your real parents were two people not of the same skin tone, sweetie."
Jasper furrowed his brows. "I know. But I only know my dad 'cause every village I went to had a picture of him saying 'WANTED' underneath it. I don't know my mommy, though."
Everyone blinked in confusion, especially Austin. "Wait – you know Austin's your father?" a new voice asked.
Everyone jumped and looked at Macy, who seemed unfazed at our reactions. Jasper nodded slowly and pointed at her. "That means your my aunty," he stated.
Macy chuckled and nodded, bend down in front him. "Yes, I could've guessed. But how did you know?" she asked.
Jasper played with the string on his shirt and looked at the ground. "Whatever I asked, they'd tell that he was my daddy and a bad man. I've always wanted to stay with him, but they wouldn't let me. Those meanies," he pouted.
Ally, Kira and Macy cooed at his expression. "You're so adorable!" Macy squealed.
Jasper gave her a toothy smile and nodded. His smile faltered after a while and he looked back at the ground. "I want to be just like daddy."
Austin grinned with pride as the women all frowned. "No," they chorused together.
Jasper and Austin pouted. "But… why not?" they said in unison.
Ally rolled her eyes and slapped the back of her fiancé's head. "You know why, you dolt."
Austin glowered at her and their bickering began, with Macy and Jasper trying to stop them. Kira smiled at the scene and rubbed her ever so growing stomach. Maybe he doesn't need to know me. He already has a loving family with him, she thought happily. Yeah, he doesn't. He's in good hands with Austin, Macy and Ally.
End of Flashback
Macy and Ally laughed at that flashback before Macy stopped and looked at her. "Sorry 'bout the way I treated you upon first meeting ya," she said.
Ally smiled and looked up at the ceiling of the dining room. "Ah, wasn't that classic."
Flashback
Her gaze was hard and angry as she gazed down at Ally. Personally, Ally felt intimidated by the dirty blonde before her. She had narrowed eyes and a steely glare. Her hands were placed on her hips in a matter that she was in high authority and she could do anything to the unsuspecting brunette. Her lips were raised into a scowl, as if Ally's very presence disgusted her.
Feeling a bit intimidated by the probable other women, Ally moved her gaze to the ground. Why'd she have to be just as intimidating as Austin? Couldn't she have been… nicer, at least? Ally gasped in shock and backed away from her slowly. "Oh no, I killed your father?" she gasped out.
The female's face went from angry to shock in less than a second, just before twisting in confusion. Ally tried to stand up, but she felt weak from passing out late last night. "Our father and mother died back when Austin was kidnapped by those bandits… you look too… young." Now it was Ally's turn to be confused, Austin's parents were killed? He had told her that she had killed his own father, how was that even possible? Seeing the confusion etched onto the younger female's face, she explained further. "I was only five, and Austin was only about three weeks old when it happened. Austin knows who I am, but at the same time, he doesn't, if you understand." Ally nodded, she understood. Austin knew her as a person and they were probably close, but he doesn't know that they're related.
The girl sighed and walked over to her brother, kneeling before his unconscious form. "We can take him back to my place. Boys, let's get going." She stood up again and began walking, only to look back at Ally. "Aren't you coming or are you going to stay there and look stupid all day?"
It didn't take Ally long to realize this girl was pretty ill-mannered. Her posture and tone of voice rang ill-mannered from left to right. Shaking her head slowly, the girl scowled. Ally didn't understand, she had refused to go with her, shouldn't she be happy? Plus, she had enough of being around such an ill-tempered being. The girl's scowled faded and she huffed, walking off.
End of Flashback
Macy shook her head. "Damn, I was a bitch," she whispered to herself.
Ally chuckled and stood up. "Okay." She took in a deep breath and looked at Macy. "I'm ready."
Macy smiled and winked at her. "I knew you'd be."
Austin paced back and forth in Dez and Trish's guest room. Their baby was resting in Dez' lap, gnawing on his shirt. Dez sighed and raised a brow. "You're overreacting. She won't say no. And if she does, that honestly sucks," he told his best friend.
Austin paused mid-way in his step and gaped at his friend with wide eyes. "Dez! Come on man, you're supposed to reassure me! Why the fuck are you making me worry?" Austin yelled.
Dez blinked and his daughter bounced on his lap. She twisted her body and stretched out her arms towards Austin. Dez chuckled as his friend grimaced, backing away a bit. Austin sighed and shook his head. "H – How can I be a father… when I can't even stand holding your child? She won't marry me. Once she realizes that I am a hopeless fool, she'll leave me and marry some rich bastard who'll lavish her with unnecessary shit," Austin spat angrily. "Fuck, my own kid. How will I react?"
Dez smirked. "Maybe seeing him or her–"
"We're having a boy," Austin cut him off with a defiant look.
Dez shook his head. He already has a son, he thought. "As I was saying, when you see him" Dez murmured a quick 'or her' under his breath before continuing, "You might just swallow a large ass gulp of fatherly air."
Austin frowned and Dez held out his daughter. "Don't be awkward man. Elise adores you."
Slowly, Austin walked to the giggling baby and put out his arms. He closed his eyes tightly and looked away. Don't look or you'll drop her, he thought just as his arm got a little heavier. Soon, the sounds of loud giggling filled his ears and he turned his head to look at Elise. As his eyes fell upon her, her laughter stopped as she took in his awkward appearance. Just then, she stuffed her tiny fist in her mouth and sucked on it. Austin – who was about to do something unusual – stilled. Her tiny feet kicked the air as her only free hand gripped his shirt cuff tightly.
And then it happened.
And it was out of his control.
Austin, the bandit who people feared, just fucking cooed at a baby.
"You're so cute!" he exclaimed in a babyish voice.
Dez' mouth dropped open.
And the door opened.
"What the hell?" someone whispered.
Austin stopped his cooing and looked at the door, Dez and Elise following his actions. Trish was holding a hairpin in her hand and her right eye was twitching. Austin, who was sure his own eye was twitching, quickly thrust Elise back into her father's hand.
Trish laughed.
Dez let out huge guffaws.
And Austin?
Well… he turned bright red.
The sound of the organ began playing and Austin's palms began to sweat. This was it. He was doing the one thing he had sworn not to do.
He was getting married.
He bit down on his lip hard and could've sworn he was tasting blood. Damn it all, he was extremely nervous. He felt his fingers shaking and he closed his eyes. Fuck it all, why am I nervous? I'm Austin, I don't get nervous. In the crowd, Ally's mother raised both her thumbs and winked at him. He blanched. She could sense it.
Damn witch, he thought, glaring at her.
The sound of the small church's doors opened and Austin's eyes involuntarily rose to it. Ally walked through, arm linked through Dez'. She didn't have any bridesmaids, due to the fact all her female friends either were with child, had a child or just plain ole lazy (cough, cough – Macy – cough, cough). When Dez came closer with his soon-to-be wife, Austin gulped and clenched his fists.
Why, out of all the times I was with her, do I have to be nervous right now? He thought angrily. "Ahem." Austin looked up at the priest with a dark look, scaring the man out of his wits. "S – Sir, your bride is here and w – waiting for you to take her h – hand," he stuttered.
Austin sighed and looked at Ally. He gently took her hand and smiled at her. She returned it, but it was a thousand times brighter than his.
And a lot less nervous.
Damn, he thought. My fucking hands are sweating. "Dearly beloved, we gather here…" The priest began in a loud, clear voice.
Ally lightly squeezed Austin's hand and he looked at her. She gave him a small smile and he wiggled his eyebrows playfully at her. "Aren't you happy?" she whispered quietly.
Austin nearly blushed, but he had managed to contain himself. "Yeah… but… I mean…"
The priest cleared his throat and both of the soon-to-be-newlyweds heads snapped up. "We're about to pray," he explained to them.
Ally nodded and proceeded to close her eyes. Austin, however, glowered at the poor man, who began sweating bullets. "Er… uh, close your–"
"Just fucking pray."
The man gulped and nodded frantically, praying. And as the prayer went on, Austin's glare never faltered.
"Congratulations! You're married, before me!" Cassidy squealed, her son happily laughing in her arms.
Ally smiled at the boy and reached out to him. "Look who has gotten bigger. You, Jeremiah," she cooed, taking the kid from her friend.
She kissed his chubby cheek and cradled him in her arms, rocking him slightly. He laughed and began chewing on his tiny fist. "Cute." Ally and Cassidy jumped a bit, the latter holding her hand to her chest. "Wow. I wasn't even walking quietly," the person murmured.
Cassidy tensed in fear and licked her lips, while Ally sighed and shook her head. "Nixy." Said girl looked up and smiled tentatively at Ally. "Why are you here?" she asked.
She smirked. "Heard it on the grapevine. Congrats, you and Austin are cute." Ally smiled. "And I see he waste time in impregnating you." Ally blushed hotly. "Impressive," she stated.
Ally chuckled lightly and opened her mouth to say something, but was cut off before anything. "Ally, where the fuck are you?" Austin's voice rang out.
Cassidy and Ally turned on their heel to the approaching blond, anger evident in their eyes. "There is a kid here, you know!" they yelled.
He appeared and stopped just before Ally's nose. He shrugged and looked down at her. "What were you guys doing?" he asked.
Ally smiled brightly and slowly turned around. "We were just having a conversation. Right, Nix–" she paused, looking in the empty spot where Nixy once stood. "Wow. She's gone."
Austin furrowed his brows in confusion as the girls giggled. "Who is gone?" he asked.
Ally shook her head. No one. She turned to face Austin again and handed Cassidy her child back. Reaching for Austin's hand, she dragged him back to the reception area. "Come on, let's go!" she exclaimed.
I have nothing to say, but sorry. I have school and shit.
