Lady stood in the empty streets waiting for Dante, Akira, and Annabelle to return from the Demon World. Hearing something move in the rubble behind her, she turned to see the three, but something was off about them as Dante let out an exhausting sigh and said, "What an ordeal" He turned to see Lady standing in front of the three as she said, "I need that back" He took the rocket launcher from his shoulder and said before handing it back, "No late charges I hope" "Hmm", Lady hummed, "I'll think about it" 'Damn', Dante thought, 'She will now that I mentioned it' He handed her the launcher and as she put it back on her back as he looked to Akira and Annabelle. He could see Annabelle had feelings for his brother and Akira was trying to comfort her friend. He sighed and said as he then looked to the sky, "We should be fine for now, but I'm sure they'll be back soon, very soon" Akira looked at Dante and soon walked over to him. She placed a hand on his face, causing him to look at her, then pull her into a hug while tears began to fall. "You're crying", Akira said, making Dante smirk and say to her, "It's only the rain" Lady held out her hand and said, "The rain already stopped" Dante let Akira go and said, "Devils never cry" Annabelle wiped her tears away and said, "Maybe even a devil may cry when they lose a loved one"

Dante looked to Annabelle and said, "Maybe" Lady stretched her arm over her as she said, "By the way…" She pulled a pistol out and shot at three demons and she readied another as she continued, "Looks like, the four of us are gonna be busy for awhile" Akira looked to see they were surrounded by demons and said to Annabelle, "I'm sure Lady wants to see our skills personally, so let's show her what we're made of" Annabelle smiled and said, "I think we should show these guys not to mess with us" "Well, bring it on", Dante said, "I love it. This is what I live for!" He took a few steps forward and pulled out Ebony and Ivory, twirling them a few times before yelling with a devilish smirk, "I'm absolutely crazy about it!"

After the last demon was killed, Lady offered Dante, Akira, and Annabelle a place to stay considering her house was far away from where the tower erupted. Akira noticed a sudden change in Dante, and figured it was because of Vergil falling further into the Demon World, and the same was for Annabelle. After everyone cleaned themselves up, they all decided to get some sleep, except for Akira. Granted, it was nice to sleep in a bed after everything that went on, she just couldn't sleep. She looked across the room she was sleeping in and saw Annabelle asleep, but she was a heavy sleeper most of the time. She decided to check in on Dante in the room down the hallway as she quietly opened and closed the door and tip-toed her way to Dante. She quietly opened his door and saw he wasn't there, causing her to think, 'Where is he?' She looked and saw he was standing on a balcony with his back to her, shirtless, and obviously in pain. "Dante", Akira softly said, causing him to turn to her and he couldn't help but stare at her. She had such a beautiful body, not too curvy, not too little curvy, beautiful eyes that made him think he was looking at a emerald gem. Akira looked at him and asked, "Dante, are you alright?" Snapped out of his thoughts, Dante turned and placed his arms on the rail and said, "Couldn't sleep, babe. You?" "Same", Akira said, standing beside him.

Dante sighed heavily and said nothing for awhile then asked, "How's your friend?" "She's fine, I think", Akira said, "But, watching your brother fall hurt her real bad" She then embraced the half-devil and said, "To be honest, I don't know if she'll recover from it, she cared deeply for him, and so did you" Dante knew she was right, he cared for his brother and knew Annabelle did as well. "So", Akira said, "what's gonna happen now?" Dante just shrugged his shoulders and said, "Dunno, maybe you and Annabelle may start a new life here" Akira sighed and hugged Dante more as he wrapped his arms around the young Phoenix and he said, "Ya know, that offer still stands" She smiled softly and said, "I may not have a choice. I wanna stay with you" "Why do you?", he asked, "You know I'm a half-devil"

"Dante, you'll learn someday that being half-human, makes you stronger then a demon"

"Now where did you get that from?"

"A movie I used to watch in my world"

Dante just smirked as she looked into his eyes. Akira could see the sadness deep within them as she asked, "Are you gonna be ok?" Dante said nothing when he suddenly pressed his lips against Akira's lips. Akira was caught off guard by Dante's actions as he continued to kiss her. She kissed him back when his tongue entered her mouth and roamed every single inch of it. His arms wrapped around her waist as Akira's arms wrapped around his neck. Akira broke the kiss to breathe and looked into Dante's eyes and saw want, sorrow, and desire in them. She felt him move his arms to her legs to pick her up bridal style to his room while he kissed her. Akira couldn't believe this was happening, she was about to do something she never thought would ever happen in her lifetime as he put her on the bed after closing the door with his foot and then crawled on top of her, kissing and occasionally nipping her neck.

Dante never felt this type of feeling before, but around Akira, he wanted her to be his forever as he continued his actions by going for her collarbone while his hands up and down her body, causing her to shiver. Akira felt him move his hands to her breasts, causing a moan to come from Akira. "Dante", she said, "wait a sec" He stopped with confusion on his face and asked, "What's the matter?" "Ann and Lady will hear us" He smirked devilishly and said, "Don't worry, babe. I've put a barrier up when we came in here, it's soundproof so they won't hear us" He kissed and nipped at her neck then whispers in her ear seductively, "You can scream as loud as you want in here" Akira began to tremble with his hot breath hitting her skin while he removed the pajama top Lady gave her to wear. He then removed the pants she was wearing as he kissed her on the lips once more. Akira kissed him back as she wrapped her arms around his neck as he eventually removed them by taking her hands and placing them around the waistband, as if asking her to take them off, which she did so.

Dante positioned himself after they broke their passionate kiss and asked her, "Never done this before, babe?" Akira blushed and looked at him as she said, "No, never" Dante just chuckled and gave her a reassuring kiss on her lips and said, "Don't worry, I'll be gentle to you, my little Phoenix" With one quick thrust into her, Dante kissed her as Akira cried out, feeling unimaginable pain as he swallowed her cries. She would rather take a demon's bite the this while she felt Dante move his hands to help ease the pain. Once she felt the pain go away, Akira moved her hips to let him know the pain was gone, making the half-devil slowly move in and out of Akira's core. Knowing of Dante's slow pace, Akira felt herself slowly relax to Dante's pace as she let out a small moan, but Dante could feel his demonic side slowly rising as it screamed at him to take her, mark her as his so no other demon or mortal man can have her.

She was his Phoenix and his alone. He was beginning to get carried away with his thrusts as Akira began to notice a gleam of red sparkling in Dante's eyes, and she could tell Dane's demon was showing itself to her while she softly moaned his name. Her eyes closed in bliss as she couldn't stop her moans and they were slowly getting louder and his demonic side was still screaming, but Dante was ignoring it the best he could until Akira finally said, "It's all right, Dante. Whatever happens, I won't regret it" As if saying she was ok with his demonic side taking over, Dante loosened up a bit, but felt his grip slowly slipping.

He didn't want to hurt Akira as he felt her get close to her climax, Dante felt his teeth grow fangs and he suddenly latched himself onto her neck, causing Akira to cry out in pain as she reached her climax. Dante had reached his shortly after, spilling his own seed into her, but he kept his fangs where they were until his was ridden out. Once he was done, he let go and licked up some of Akira's blood before they collapsed onto the bed. Akira was all out of breath and reached for the mark on her neck. It was there as she sighed when she heard Dante say, "I'm sorry" "What…?", Akira asked in between pants, "What did you do?" "I marked you", Dante replied, pointing to the mark, "It's a demon's way of saying, 'You're mine forever'" Dante wrapped his arms around her and continued, "You're mine forever, Akira. You're my lover now" Her eyes widened as she cuddled against him as he pulled a sheet and to blankets over their bodies and before sleep took over, Akira said, "I love you, Dante" He chuckled a bit before placing a kiss on her and said in a whisper, "I love you too, Akira" Seeing her smile was enough to make him smile back and felt his eyes slowly close and joined her in dreamland.

***Unknown Realm***

Annabelle slowly opened her eyes to see she was no longer in Lady's house but in a place that reminded her of an abandoned ruin. She looked around until she heard the sound of some gasping and wheezing, making her turn to see a sight that she never wanted to see. She saw Vergil, wounded with blood coming from a wound on his side with his and over it, trying to stop the bleeding, his hair was more like Dante's now as he looked to see the one who cherished him as she ran to his side crying softly, "Vergil" "Annabelle", Vergil said, "You must leave my world and return to your world. Mundus has defeated me and now, you are in danger" "But Vergil", Annabelle said, "I don't know if I can get back"

"Go to Arkham's library in his home. Mary must've taken you to her home, so you must look for a book that will help you get home"

"Why would Mundus want me?"

"He wants you, so that he could control the Human World and freeze it over. If that happens, humans will freeze to death, and so will your friend and my foolish brother"

Annabelle nodded her head as tears fell from her face. Vergil noticed this and lifted a weak hand to wipe the tears as he said, "Don't cry, Annabelle, it'll be alright. You'll be able to go home now" "But Akira", she said, making Vergil look at her with slight confusion, "She wants to stay and be with Dante. I can't force her to come home" "Then maybe she is home", Vergil said, "If she wants to stay home and be with my brother, then let her" Annabelle lowered her head as Vergil continued, "If he hasn't yet, if he loves her, he may mark her" "'Mark her'?", Annabelle asked, "I don't understand, Vergil" Vergil took a deep breath and said, "When a demon, like my father, falls for someone, they have this feeling and the way they show others that the person belongs to them, they mark that person" Vergil lifted his hand and placed it on her face, moving some of her hair out of the way and tucking it behind her ear as he said, "There are different ways demons can mark, but mostly through sex. However, it isn't the only way" He moved her shirt to where her left shoulder was exposed and placed two fingers on her collarbone and quietly muttered something. He removed his fingers to reveal claw marks and around them were tiny snowflakes as Vergil said, "I have to go. This is the mark that will seal our bond and it can never be broken"

Annabelle couldn't hold back her tears as she watched Vergil slowly fade away. "I love you so much, Vergil", Annabelle said. Vergil smiled at her and said, "I love you too, Annabelle. You were my reason for power after we defeated Arkham" Vergil quickly pressed his lips against Annabelle's when a tear fell from his face as they continue to kiss. Annabelle broke the kiss and opened her eyes as Vergil did and she watched him fade into nothing. "Vergil", Annabelle said, "Thank you"

So Akira and Dante had their little moment together, and Vergil warned Annabelle of Mundus. The next chapter will be out soon.
