"Damnit tell Lionel Luthor it's important,"

"I'm sorry sir but he is in a meeting and cannot be pulled out," growing angry the man driving tossed the phone into the other seat and began to speed up.

Not caring that Jonathon's truck was also on the road he rammed the back of the Kent truck, and blared his horn.

Jonathon could tell that Beels, a long time farmer he knew, was having a bad day he tryed moving over to let him pass only for him to hit a obstacle as he sped past.

As the truck flipped Jonathon stopped the truck and jumped out to help. Reaching in to pull Beels from the truck he was startled as the plant he noticed beside him sprayed him in the face. Unsure what just happened Jonathon calls for help as he stays by Beel's side.

The Mansion

"Dr. Hamilton what can I do for you?,"

"James Beels, he has stolen one of my most precious flowers after he helped me move equipment. The flower in question is called the Nicodemus flower it was extint for 100 years but I used Meteor fragments to irradiate the dormant seeds,"

"You used meteor pieces," Lex said pinching the bridge of his nose as he sat down wishing they could go one day without a incident.

Standing up Lex tells Hamilton he owuld look into it before grabbing his car keys to head over to the Kent farm where Angela had gone that morning for breakfast and to help with the farm.

Kent Farm

"Woah! Didn't need to see that," Angela joked as she covered her eyes at the sight of her parents kissing.

"Come on Clark, come watch the game forget the chores," Jonathon declared begining to go in the living room.

"Good morning Martha, Clark, Angel,"

"Morning Lex," the three of them replied despite the fact he could tell something was going on.

"Is Jonathon alright?," Lex mentioned as he sees him acting strange before he even gets to the living room.

"I hate the damn Luthor's get him out of here I'm going for a nap," Jonathon declared changing directions and heading upstairs.

"That was strange," Clark pointed out the obvious.

"We should get to school Clark,"

"True," Clark replied grabbing their bags as Angela kissed Lex goodbye for the day.

As they arrived at school they were still trying to piece things together when they bumped into Pete.

"Our dad was acting weird this morning,"

"Really, is he ok?,"

"We don't know that's the thing," Angela replied in confusion.

"He never usually hates on Lex though,"

"I would, he swindled my family out of our creamed con factory twelve years ago,"

"Oh wow we didn't know Pete, sorry to hear that happened to you," Angela said sincerly.

"Didn't want my opinion to cloud yours when you got to know the Luthor's, wanted you to see that they were bad news for yourself," Pete said showing the hate upon his face at just talking about them.

After school Clark and Angela made their way down Main street when Angela tapped Clark's arm.

"What the hell is dad doing?,"

"Oh my god," Clark muttered as he ran over and struggled for the shot gun in their father's hands.

"Dad let go," Angela begged him.

All of a sudden the gun went off leaving a hole in Clark's shirt as Angela grabbed their father as he collapsed.

After the ambulance got Jonathon to the hospital Angela paced the waiting room as she waited on word on their dad.

"What happened?," Lex asked as he rushed over and took Angela in his arms to make sure she was ok.

"Dad lost it, was going to go in the bank with a shot gun we stopped him. I don't know why he collapsed but it happened after he tryed shooting Clark in the chest,"

"You ok Clark?," Lex aasked as Angela recounted what happened.

"Yeah just peachy," Clark replied sarcastically.

In The Forest

Chloe and Lana knew there had to be something here that would explain the recent situations. First James Beel and now Jonathon Kent. As Chloe began taking photos for the evidence of the area Lana decided to venture further in.

Only entering a few feet Lana bent down having discovered the hula figurine that use to sit on the dashboard of Beel's truck. All of a sudden the Nicodemus flower rose up and made Lana the next victim of it's spray.

The Next Day

Clark, Angela, and Pete stood by the lockers talking about Jonathon being in the hospital when Angela's jaw dropped at the entrance of Lana.

"Woah what's with the outfit Lana?," Pete asked seeing the mini skirt and boots she chose to wear.

"Wanted a change, nothing wrong with that now excuse me I got a football star to find," Lana said brushing them off as she went off to find Whitney.

"Ok that's is now the third person to act like that something is going on,"

"Has to be connected to Beel's crash site," Chloe said as she went over her photos and notes.

"That's strange,"

"What is?," Angela replied popping up onto the edge of a desk swinging her legs.

"Dr Hamilton is in this photo, I think it's time we go visit the doc," Chloe said as Clark and Angela nodded agreeing.

The Talon

"Everyone has the afternoon off," Lana announced as she strutted her way into the Talon.

"Miss Lang?,"

"Well hello there big boy,"

"If that was your attempt at seduction you had failed my heart belongs to Angela you know that,"

"Hmph," seeing that she failed Lana grabbed Lex's car keys and took off.

Clark had just arrived to see Lex as he saw Lana speeding off in his car. Deciding to follow her he caught up to her at the old windmill.

Seeing her climbing it had him worried sick and he was right to be seeing as how halfway up Lana started feeling faint and fell backwards off the windmill.

Catching her Clark was scared as he began super speeding to the hospital just as unbeknowest to him and Angela their father had just slipped into the same coma as Beels.

Smallville High

They were gathered around researching the flower. Chloe was surfing websites digging for dirt, Pete was reading papers to see if it had ever been mentioned before, and Clark and Angela sat resting after the morning they have had.

"I know I saw a diary on the flower in Dr Hamilton's office when we were there, he knows something he was lying that he didn't,"

"How do you know Chloe that he was?," Angela asked as she rubbed her temples to ease her on coming headache.

"Cause it's right here," Pete said as he beckoned everyone around his computer he was using.

"This paper was written by Hamilton six years ago. It explains here that they use to use meteor fragments to irradiate dormant plant cells, so he had to be the one to bring back the Nicodemus flower," Pete explained from what he read.

"What about your stupid theory about Lex being involved?,"

"He checked out the flower Angela, he must have a part in this," Chloe said seeing Angela become upset that her friends were against them.

"I'm going home," and with that said Angela left knowing she needed to speak to Lex.

Mansion

"Lex!,"

"In the study!," Angela heard the voice as she waited at the front door to find out where he was.

As she entered the study she saw Lex typing away at his laptop as classical music lightly played behind him.

"Lex, honestly tell me do you know Dr Hamilton, and anything about the Nicodemus flower he was working on?,"

"Hamilton no I don't, the flower yes i do know about it i admit i've looked into information about it and that's all,"

"Thank you love, it's just that Chloe and Pete were trying to say you were involved with what happened to those infected,"

"It's ok Angel I understand come join me by the fire," Lex said shutting down his laptop and heading over to the couch to spend time with Angela.

As Angela was curled up on the couch her cell phone began to ring.

"Hello,"

"Angela Beels is dead, there has been no improvement in your father's condition,"

"Thank you mom for telling me i'll be over first thing in the morning to sit with dad,"

"Ok sweetheart see you tomorrow," as Angela hung up she sighed in disappointment.

"What is it love?,"

"Beels is dead, no improvement with dad they fear he's next,"

"We won't let him be, I'll make a few calls in the morning and see what I can find about a antidote if there ever was one back then,"

"Thank you Lex, I'm going to head up to bed see you when you come up," as she said goodnight she kissed his cheek and wearily made her way upstairs to their bedroom.

The Next Day

Lex sat in his study after Angela had left for the hospital determined to find any way to help his girlfriend's father.

"I found it!,"

"Hamilton, what precisly did you find?,"

"A cure to the flower," Hamilton said the pride showing smugly in his tone of voice.

"Don't sound so damn proud of yourself Hamilton this is your fault to begin with!," Lex shouted angrily at how much of an idiot the doctor in front of him was.

Angela was surprised to hear shouting as she arrived back home. Chloe had called her and Clark and warned her that Pete had been infected and he was on his way to Lex's.

Making her way into the study Angela found Lex in Hamilton's face.

"Lex?,"

"Doctor Hamilton here decided to be a kind citizen and has found a cure for the infection your father has,"

"Thank you Doctor Hamilton,"

"Luthor!," Pete shouted as he entered the study shooting Hamilton causing him to drop the page containing the cure in the fire.

"NO!," Angela screamed feeling hope leave her as she watched the book fall in the fire.

Lex quickly grabbed the book and threw it to Hamilton who rushed out of the room clutching his bleeding shoulder.

Turning the gun on Lex Angela began to try to reason with her friend.

"Pete please don't do anything rash, put the gun down we can resolve anything you want to take care of without using that gun,"

"Nah nothing can be fixed til Luthor is dead,"

"You'd have to kill me first," Angela said as she stepped up in front of Lex shielding him.

"You'd defend him?,"

"Yes cause I love him," Angela said as she prayed Pete would put the gun down.

Suddenly a blur rushed in front of them and Pete suddenly collapsed to the floor.

"About time bro,"

"Hey you're the one who wanted to try to talk it out,"

"I was being a friend,"

"So was I by just knocking him out,"

"Well at least Hamilton is going to cure everyone,"

"He was here?,"

"Yes Clark but only cause he found a cure and wanted to help he has gone to get it started before we lose dad,"

"Ok, we should get back to the hospital," Angela agreed with her brother as he picked up Pete and nodded to Lex.

Kissing Lex's cheek Angela quickly made her way out to join her brother to take the Audi to get them to the hospital normal in case Pete woke up.

The Next Day

Angela was asleep with her head on her father's bedside when fingers started to lightly brush through her hair. Swatting it away the person who was stroking her hair laughed heartily at her antic. Hearing that laugh Angela's head snapped up as joy filled her eyes.

"Dad!," Angela said happily as she leapt up and hugged him tightly but gently.

"Hey sweetie,"

"I'm so happy your ok,"

"I hear I have Lex to thank for that, they say he had a doctor search for the cure,"

"He did, they found it last night. If your cured means so is Lana and Pete,"

"Poor kids, what about Beels?,"

"Sorry dad he didn't make it,"

"It's ok kiddo at least it wasn't such a tragic loss,"

"True more lived rather then died," Angela agreed as she sat on the edge of the bed.

The day passed on Clark had left earlier to do something for Lana, Pete had gone home claiming he needed him time which they could understand, and Angela sat on the windowsill of the mansion watching the rain flow over the window as she finally let the days behind them rest.

She knew more meteor events would occur many had been infected but this time she was determined to cure them and save them. If they started this she was damn well going to end it with a happy ending for the people she was superwoman she had to save the world.
