Chapter 20- This Means War

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

The constant ticking of the clock reminds me why I'm here. The clock seems to symbolize my never ending life, it never stops. Even if I wish it would.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

My irritation grows slowly, I feel the tension in my body fill up. They asked me to meet them in here, but for what? They're taking a long time with this.

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

"Nice seeing you here Katniss," Gale greets. My name rolls out of his mouth like a hissing snake

Marissa's coven found out she died. They found out I killed her, and they want revenge. I can hear it in their minds. They sent Gale in here to persuade me, to trick me into giving myself up to them. I'm a lot smarter then I seem. Peeta's outside the house, sensing if I'm in trouble.

Gale sits down in a chair. He looks at me, with a hint a lust but quickly changes his expression. "Why don't you tell me, exactly what happened to Marissa?" He asks

"She's dead," I say rolling my eyes. "What's there more to tell?"

"I know you had something to do with it. Tell me now, and I'll let you go," He coaxes me

I'm not stupid. He's going to call the rest of his coven to come kill me on the spot. He might even add in something since I know he likes my appearance.

"Fine, I will tell you a bit of the truth," I smirk. "The bitch got what she deserved,"

Gale's in front of me in a split second, leaning towards my face. "That bitch was in my coven. I won't hesitate to kill you myself if you don't cooperate,"

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

"Katniss," His words flash in my head.

"Give me a minute," I tell him

"Alright, just back off of me," I say pushing him away.

I stare into Gale's eyes. "She tried to kill my boyfriend so I snapped her pretty little neck,"

When he hears the word boyfriend his eyes fill with anger. Then he quickly recovers.

"You have 30 seconds Kat," He reminds me

"Let's make an agreement, I'll show you the best time ever, and I'll tell my family not to start a war," He eyes my body.

I nod walking closer to him.

"10 seconds,"

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.

I act like I'm leaning in to kiss him but I stop myself at the last second.

"I guess this means war," I smirk

"3,2,1,"

The door flies opens and I feel two invisible hands pull on my waist. My body tugs through the door. I smile and wave at Gale, who looks very pissed. I'm glad I did piss him off.

I land in Peeta's arms. "Your ability hurts just a little," I tell him while rubbing my sides.

"Sorry, it's kind of hard to control a person rather than an object," He says

"Come on we have to go and prepare," I get out of his arms and start walking towards our house.

Johanna waits for Peeta and I at the door. She smiles and opens the door for us.

"So you just went out and started a war, that's pretty normal," She chuckles

"If Gale wasn't the one holding the damn meeting, we would've been fine but he provokes a fire in me," I shrug

I sit down at the table and rest my head on it. Marissa probably wanted this to happen anyway, I'll show her that her family was weak just like her. I'm surprised they even cared that much about her.

"All jokes aside, whats the chance of this actually happening?" Peeta asks

I yawn. "They'll release something in the sky at dusk declaring war. Our family has been in a few, " I tell him

"So we just have to wait?"

"Basically. Their family doesn't stand much of a chance, unless they try to get newborns but that takes a while,"

Clove enters the room. I haven't seen her in awhile. "We're going to war?!" She asks excitedly

"Am I the only one that doesn't want war to happen? Aren't we all going to die?" Peeta questions

Clove rolls her eyes. "Peeta, we don't kill each other, we take turns fighting one another. We can't kill anyone or else you're reported to the Capitol," Clove sighs

"Wait so this isn't an actual war?"

"You newborns really need to be taught," Clove shakes her head. "We're not going into a real war, like the Civil War! We're just handling our issues by beating the crap out of each other. I haven't beaten anyone's ass since the Big War of 1940," Clove says cracking her knuckles.

I laugh. "That's why I wanted to come home early so soon, we have to start training to kick ass," I tell Peeta

"I can't wait for this!" Clove shrieks. "I'll go get the training room ready," She says running off

I grab Peeta's hand. "Come on, it's dusk. Let's go see if they really want to do this,"

We walk out side and look up at the sky. They have plenty of time to start, or never go through with this. I kinda want to do this, maybe i'll get to kick Gale's ass.

"Look," Peeta says pointing towards the sky

Marissa's family coven's signature color is purple. I see a purple streak dash through the sky. I smile to myself.

Time to start training.

Hey guys! I finally updated! I hope you enjoyed this chapter, took me awhile to figure out how to write it. If you're confused about something, just PM me and ask me about it because I may not have been very clear on some things.

I saw Divergent last Sunday, and let me tell you, it was amazing. Read the book first before watching the movie because you might get a little confused. All in all , the movie stayed about true to the book and I just want to watch it again. If ya'll could find the movie online for me, I would seriously love ya'll forever. Btw, Theo James, who plays Four, is really HOT.

Anyway I want to talk about something. I always mean to address this but I always forget but I'm doing it now! I know a lot of you want my other stories to be uploaded quickly and I know the feeling. I wait for my favorite author to update their stories and it seems like forever until they do it but I also don't go on their stories and keep asking them to review after a few weeks. A lot of times when I update one of my stories I always have someone going on another one of my stories and asking me to update that story. I hate to keep y'all waiting but it gets a bit annoying when I see only "Update Quicker" instead of a review that shows me like what you thought off that chapter or what should be changed, etc. If I go MIA I mostly tell you guys by writing an authors note to inform you what I'm doing that's causing me not to update a lot. I don't want to sound rude or anything, it's just my thoughts. The more I see that it makes me feel like my writing is like a chore which I feel that writing shouldn't be a chore. It's supposed to be fun and awesome and I want the chapters to be the best they can be. I try to get them out quickly but sometimes stuff prevents me from updating.

Another thing, the reason I haven't updated Love Is The Greatest Gift is because I have a huge case of writers block. I know what I want to write but I don't know how I'm going to write it. So I keep writing a chapter, then deleting it because it looks stupid when I read over it. This process repeats and repeats so just be patient while I figure out how I'm going to write the next chapter.

And on a happier note, me and my friend are going to be pairing up on this book we are writing together. It's not a FanFiction, it's a regular story that we think is going to be like really awesome so we're going to post it on Wattpad when we finish it. I'll talk about it more when we are ready to post it. If you want to ask me about the book, PM me!
