A/N

I'm not going to do that half assed apology I always do so I just want to thank you for all your reviews. And hopefully you're still interested in this story. So with that, I hope you enjoy!

SONNY POV

Chad slowly walked into the Rec room, surveying all the damage he had done yesterday. After Karen had left without letting Chad even say a word or justify himself, he was gone again. I mean, not that he could justify killing someone except for telling her, he was trying to kill him. I doubt she'd want to hear that. Anyway, he couldn't speak in proper sentences. He had trust issues and started asking me questions about who I speak to and what I did when I was alone. He was quiet, and wasn't himself. Carefully, I stood just inside the room, listening to the class crunch underneath his shoes. He picked up a large piece of mirror before throwing it over to the side and running a hand through his hair. I wondered what he was thinking.

"Sonny..."

"Hm?"

"I don't remember any of this."

"What do you mean?"

"I remember my mother coming over here and I remember the sex... but.. this." He motioned to the room. "I don't remember."

"Oh... Well... You were upset about what your mother said to you and broke everything you got your hands on. I didn't want to stop you because your were furious and I knew you needed to blow off some steam." He put his hands on his hips for a brief moment, shaking his head.

"Did I hurt you?"

Only a little. But I don't need him feeling worse than he already does. "Nah. You did, however, provoke me to slap you."

Chad turned around with a smirk. "How?"

"You said hit me a few times and I refused. So, you called me a cunt and a useless bitch." He flinched. "And then I slapped you."

A frown. "I didn't mean to call you that."

"I know." I shrugged. "But then it led to... the sex."

"My dad helped me build this room. And I destroyed it."

"I'm sorry about that."

"It's not your fault." He kneeled down and picked up a fifty pound weight plate and moved it over to lean on the wall. All the lights reflected off the glass on the floor. "Maybe we should leave it like this and make it the venting room."

"There's nothing else to let your frustration out on. You broke everything." I walked farther into the room and stood beside him. I reached down, picking up my panties from yesterday with a sigh.

"Sexy..." He said, snatching them out of my hand and putting them into his pocket. "You can bite me anytime."

"Shut up..." I groaned in a red mess. He nudged my shoulder with his and chuckled.

"Do you have to go to work?"

"I lost my job." I glanced over at him.

"What?" He deeply asked.

"I've been doing no call-no shows. They fired me and owe me two more paychecks. I have to go in to clean out my desk and locker."

"Oh... I'm really sorry, Sonny..."

"Yeah, you got what you wanted. You wanted me to quit."

"Yeah but I didn't what this to happen. I didn't do it intentionally."

"It's fine, baby. I knew it was coming anyway. I had a vibe."

Chad rubbed his hands on his shorts before picking up another piece of mirror and throwing it to the side. "What about your friends? Tawni and the other one? Your sister?"

"I haven't really spoken to anyone."

"Why not?" I shrugged.

"They don't pick up their phones..." I muttered, scratching my shoulder. "And I don't want to jeopardize their lives if I visit them. Scott might see and..."

Chad looked at me with such guilt. "I'm sorry... I know it's because of me. I've basically cut off all your contact with life and... you just accept it and you shouldn't have to... I'm sorry." I shrugged. "Sonny..."

"I'm not complaining about anything, Chad. Don't worry about it." I assured him firmly. He watched my face for a while but I just kept staring at the damage around the room.

"I have to go to the club today..."

"Why?" I don't want him going there. What if someone else sets him up? "You shouldn't go..."

"I called a work meeting. A lot is going to change between the guys now that Grady is gone..."

"If you don't mind me asking, well... you don't have a choice but to answer. How do you keep your name out of suspects? I don't understand how they never ever suspect you."

"We destroy security tapes, we clean the scenes thoroughly and constantly, even though we have normal funeral services, the funeral home guys owe me favors so they don't report it. We cremate the bodies instead of burying them."

"Oh... could Karen tell if she wanted to."

"Only if she'd confess to the things she'd done otherwise she'd go down with me."

"What would she confess?"

"Armed robbery on three active Stockbrokers." A giggle left my lips. She didn't seem like the type to do that. I thought she was like me and just got caught up in this life.

"Who helped her?"

"Grady. This was... seven or eight years ago."

"Oh..." There was a short silence. "What did Karen mean that you're exactly like you're father?"

"What's with the questions, Sonshine?" I shrugged once again. He did shortly after. "My father was... ruthless. He killed women, tore apart families with no mercy. I never wanted to be like him so I have chances but apparently, I'm more like him than I want to be."

"Oh..." I said again.

"My father would've killed you if he found out about you and I. But then again, I wouldn't be in this much shit. He knew how to control things better..."

"So why didn't he kill your mother?"

"Because she was already pregnant with me. And he was married before he even inherited the... Family business."

So, it's okay for everyone else to be together. Just not us. "What's the real reason you didn't kill me? You don't kill women."

"No..." He laughed. "I knew there was something about you that would change everything. I don't know what it is yet."

"It's my good looks."

"Yeah, sure." He rolled his eyes. I smirked and ran my fingers through my hair. "No but I saw you, drunk, and listened to you go on and on about Michael... and him cheating on you; I realized you had this innocence. Innocence that I liked and wanted to have in my life." He inhaled. "You were intelligent but sexy, classy but fun, innocent but dangerous... you still are." Aw, that made me warm inside.

"Well, I was drunk so I didn't have a very good first impression of you. But the next morning on the other hand, I thought you were weird. And a creep. But I thought you were attractive, persistent, but very sweet. And a gentlemen. Kind of brutish though. Rough exterior but soft at the core now." I walked in front of him and kissed his cheek. "My lethal, deep man." I tippy toed and kissed the side of his neck. "Make sure your gun is fully loaded before you walk into the club, okay?" I kissed him again before walking around him and out the door. I heard him snicker and click his tongue.

Knowing that Chads father would've killed me changed my whole perspective. Maybe that's the incentive on why Chads mother was so ready to kill me. I walked into the kitchen and picked up the house phone, finding her number in the phone and dialing it. It rang about six times before she picked it up.

"Chad?"

I didn't know what I was doing yet. But I needed to talk to her. "Mrs. Cooper, it's Sonny."

There was a long silence. "What the fuck do you want?"

"To talk to you. Today." Maybe I should keep it public so she can't do anything to me. "At The Harvest. Can you meet me at two o'clock?"

She snorted in my ear and then scoffed. "For what? So you can plead to me why your worthy of my son?"

"No, I'll see you there. Don't be late."

CHAD POV

"We all know what happened to Grady so we're not going to talk about it." I said softly, tightening my hand around my gun. I couldn't take any chances. "We know what happened to my Uncle." They all stared at me with blank faces. "I've completely lost my mind and I have nothing to say to you all except, nothing changes. However, I will let all of you say something if any of you feel like being smartasses."

I folded my arms and waited silently. "I don't think any of us knew about Grady." Antonio inhaled. "I was with him almost every day for an hour and I had no clue."

"Boss, with all due respect... you need to do something about Sonny." Caleb inserted. "Obviously you're not going to kill her and none of us will... but you need to make her disappear for a while."

"I can't take an innocent away from her family." I shrugged my shoulders.

He shook his head. "She's already away from her family. They can't contact her cell and her house phone has messages to last a month." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm not sending her anywhere."

"That's a bit selfish..." Seth blurted out. "You won't send her away so you don't have to miss her. That's selfish."

"I won't send her away because I don't know if it's safe." It's safer than here. "That's besides the topic of this meeting. I want to amp things up. Things are out of control, I'm losing fucking money because I can't keep track of it. Which one of you dealt with transactions?"

"Grady." They all said at once. My heart sank. Shit.

"Paul, you'll deal with money from now on. Go get the records from the basement. I'm getting things back on track." He nodded slowly and rushed out of the room. "I want cameras installed around the perimeter of my house." I tapped my gun against my lip.

"You want that by today?" Seth asked.

"Yes, genius. By tonight would be great." I spat at him. He got up and walked over to the desk that had the Apple product on it. "You can put the TV's in here and make them available to see from the flat screen in my house." I would do anything to keep Sonny safe at this point. I was desperate for safety. "Go to the house and get Sonny's cell phone. I want a tracker on it."

"You can't put a tracker on your girlfriends phone." Houston spoke up gruffly.

"Why the hell can't I? She doesn't have to know. It's for own good. Now, go to the house and get her phone." I glared at him. He obliged with an attitude, slamming the door closed. Wait a minute. The rest of you get out. Continue whatever the fuck you were doing. I have nothing else to say." I went after Houston with suspicion on my mind. He was walking through the club towards the front door. "Why do you care if there's a tracker, Houston?"

"I don't."

"Seemed like you did."

"I don't." He turned around and faced me.

"Do you not want me to know where my woman is at all times so you can get at her? So you can go behind my back to?"

He scoffed. "You think I'm betraying you?"

"You're giving me reason to."

"I'm your worker. Don't question my loyalty, Chad, I've been with you and your father since day one."

I was taken back. "Grady was with me since I was in diapers and he still shit on me." I squared up and moved closer to him. "You better not be working for him. I will kill everything you ever loved in an instant."

"I don't love anyone."

"Really?" I smirked. "You sure about that?" His jaw clenched. "Not even your little brother in Canada? The one you've been sending money to weekly? The one that's raising your son so he doesn't have to deal with this life." His face fell to the ground. "You didn't think I knew about Jordan or Houston Jr. , did you? If you wanted to keep him a secret, you shouldn't send money from the clubs address." He shook his head and chuckled. "So which is it going to be, Houston?"

"I'm not working for Scott for the sake of him. I'm not stupid."

A smile graced my face and my hand touched his cheek. "Good."

SONNY POV

I sat down across from Mrs. Cooper and placed my purse next to me. She stared into my eyes like she was searching for my soul. I tried to channel Chad on this one. How would he act in a meeting across from a person that hated him? Cocky, I presume. I stared back and tilted my head.

"You look nice." I complimented dryly. She leaned back and reached for her wine glass. The waiter came over, asking her if she needed anything else.

She looked at me. "Would you like a merlot?"

"I prefer not to drink reds. Chardonnay is fine." I answered. When we were alone with good glasses of wine and cleared my throat. "Grady is dead as well as your brother in law." I looked at her. "I'm not here to plead why I'm worthy of your son."

"Then why're you here?"

"To tell you to get off my back." I sipped my wine. "I'm not leaving. And I don't care what you think of me."

She grinned. "So you think because you've lived my life for a couple of months, you know how this works?"

"I haven't lived your little life. I'm living mine. And I want you to back off of it. You're putting thoughts into your sons head that aren't true. I'm not going to turn on him. I'm in love with him. And I wouldn't do that."

"I don't know you well enough to believe that."

"I don't know you that well either but I do know you've been talking to Scott." Her face softened, her hand clenched around the glass.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm not stupid, Faith. Chad told you and Grady everything. Scott knew where was all the time and seeming that Grady switched sides, you had a perfect reason to switch also. You were against me from the beginning along with Graham."

"I'm not on Scott's side."

"Liar. Scott slapped me in the club and I noticed the platinum chain around his neck. The day you came to the house, you had one on extremely similar." She leaned back in her chair and smiled.

"I'm fucking him. I'm not on his side." My heart stopped. Holy shit. I & wasn't expecting that.

"Wait... you're screwing him? What happened to-"

"A woman's got to be satisfied, right?" She placed her elbows on the table. "He wasn't doing the job for me. You should know about that."

"Wow." I picked up my glass and took two hefty gulps. "Wow." I said again. "Wow..." I was so shocked.

"So, what do you have to say to me now?"

I laughed. "He's Chads age. You're thirty years older than he is." That's not the point. "I will tell Chad what you been doing, and I swear if you keep fucking with me and threatening me... I can't guarantee things will be good."

"You're threatening me? You? Oh, this is just great."

"I'm not threatening you. I'm giving you a heads up."

"You can't turn my son against me."

"I can make your son do a lot of things with the way it's going now. All I have to tell him is that his mother is fucking the man who killed his father every night." I narrowed my eyes. "You're a bitch for that. Hate me all you want but I'm not to be fucked with right now. I'm done being manhandled. I'm pissed all the time, I've almost been killed, I've been hit, I've been molested, and I don't need a cunt like you breathing down my neck."

A loud slap rang throughout the eatery and it went silent. Holy shit, my face. "Who the fuck do you think you are?" She sneered between her teeth. My body grew warm and my hand itched to hit her back.

I rubbed my cheek and reached over the table, slapping the shit out of her like she had done to me. "I'm Sonny fucking Monroe, who the fuck are you?" I growled furiously. "I told you not to fuck with me." She clutched her face and moaned from pain. Fuck her. I'm done being pushed around. "You don't fucking listen and you're an ass for screwing the man that killed your husband. It's nice to know where your loyalties lie, Faith. I hope it's all fucking worth it in the end."

"Nice to know you grew some balls." I exhaled. Nice to have them. "I have a new found respect." She fixed her hair and lifted her glass towards me. I grabbed my pursed and stood up, shaking my head at her.

"I don't trust you."

"Good. You just have to respect me." She smiled deviously. "I'll see you at the Golden Gala next week."

"The what?"

Chad doesn't tell me anything anymore.

CHAD POV

"Baby, where are you?" I called out when I walked into the house. I put my gun on the door side table and locked the door. I tried not to make too much noise with the bags I had in my hands. Doing a little... shopping for Sonny was actually easier than I thought. Plus, she deserves a lot for what she's been through. I smelled her cooking and smiled. The best part of her is coming home to a cooked meal. She was pouring pasta into a boiling pot of water. In her bra and panties. That's also a great part. I put the bags on the chair in the dining room so I can give them to her when we eat. They're sort of a bribe but also just generous gifts. Seventy five percent gift, twenty five percent bribe.

"Hey..." She said.

"You got your hair done?" It was a lighter shade of brown. It was nice. It made her glow.

"I did." She confirmed. "Do you like it?"

"Yes, very much." I walked around to her and kissed the side of her head. "What made you do it?"

"Well, you changed things around the house, I spoke to your mom; things are changing."

What? "You spoke to my mom? Why would you speak to her?"

"If I tell you, you won't be mad?"

It depends on what it is. "Nah, I'm in a good space right now."

"Oh really? Why?"

"I came home to my woman in her bra and panties with new hair, nothing is getting me down."

"She told me about the Gala." Sonny turned around and put her hands on my biceps. "You failed to mention that."

Shit. I forgot about that. "I forgot about the Gala." I groaned and scratched my head. "I don't think we should go."

"Why not?"

"I don't need to be in the public eye right now, Sonny. Grady and my Uncle died. That's a lot of press." I explained vaguely.

Sonny pouted, "I haven't been with normal people in months. We're going."

"Sonny-"

"No."

"I don't think it's a good idea."

"Nothing right now is a good idea but I promise you'll get something out of it by the end of the night." She kissed my chin slowly. "I bought a new dress today for it." With my card, I bet. "It's tight and red... and short."

I snickered. "You really know how to get to me huh, Sonshine?" I kissed her nose and held her away from me. "Why'd you talk to my mom, really?"

"Um... she's kind of... well... I told her to stop threatening me because I know something." She rocked back and forth on her heels.

"You know something?" My arms crossed. "What is it that you know?"

"She's definitely been talking to Scott."

"I'm pretty sure I could've figured that out. I screamed at her for it the other day."

"Did you know she's screwing him?"

"What?" She nodded. "How do you know?"

"She told me. She's wearing his chain. And then we had words and she slapped me and I slapped her."

Why did she meet with my mother in the first place? What was she doing there? "I can question you about meeting my mom." I pointed out. My chest puffed up, filling with my ego. Her brows rose. "Don't meet with her again, Sonny."

"Don't worry. I have no desire to." She turned around to tend to the pasta. She took a ladle and stirred it around. I can't believe she's sleeping with him. I don't want to cut her out of my life but I don't want to continue talking to her if she's going go to screw Scott. "Why're you so quiet?"

"You slapped my mom?" I dropped my head.

"She hit me first." She simply shrugged her shoulders. "I wasn't going to let her hit me." Good point. "Does it bother you that I did?" Somewhat.

"No." I shrugged. "I have to go to Delaware for the weekend." Sonny turned on her heels and looked at me.

"Why?"

"I'm meeting some business executives. They want to invest in the club and since... I haven't been... hustling as much as I used to, I'm open ears." I stated. She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms.

"You're lying." I am.

"I'm not." I lied. Sonny just kept staring at me. I usually can lie to her easily but I can't anymore. "Baby-"

"Why can't you just tell me the real reason?"

"Because..." She waited for my answer; her face soft and her eyes pleading. I groaned. "Sonny..."

"Please?"

Dragging a hand down my face, I shook my head. "I need to push a few pounds around the country and I have to pick up some money. Income is slow. Still good but not as much as I'd like it to be."

"A few pounds?" She repeated.

"About fifty."

"Fifty pounds of what?"

"Coke."

Sonny chewed on her bottom lip silently and turned around to tend to the sauce that was about to overflow. "Is that... safe?"

No. "It's safe enough..." It used to be Grady's job. "I only have to make it to Florida."

"Florida, Chad?!" She exclaimed. "That's thousands of miles. You said you don't push drugs." I obviously lied. "What happens if you get caught?"

She tapped the spoon on the side of the pot. "I won't get caught. I need this money. We need this money." I tried to get her to come around. But even if she doesn't approve, I'm still going to do it. "I fly back Sunday morning."

"That doesn't mean anything. You're crossing state borders. If you get stopped, you're going to get locked up. Other places aren't like New York. You can't sue and get out of it like before." She turned off the stove and walked over to the cabinet with the plates in it. Sonny read the articles about me. I smirked.

"I know."

"Then why aren't you nervous?"

"It's not in the car I'm going to be in." I informed her. "I'm making sure my stuff gets down there so no one else has to get hurt. I don't really want to explain the rest. And it's not really any of your business." She scoffed loudly, slamming down the plates on the counter and walking away.

"Forget it, then. Make your own fucking plate."

I let her cool down for three hours. She was fuming at me for not telling her but why does she need to know? What does her knowing have to do with anything? I washed the dishes and put the extra food in Tupperware before heading upstairs with the bags I had walked in with. Sonny was sitting on the bed, watching TV. She still looked sort of annoyed but I think I can get her to relax. I sat on the bed in front of her and cleared my throat.

"I bought you something."

"You can't bribe me."

"I wasn't trying to." Lie. "I got these before you were angry." Truth.

"I don't want them."

I pulled a Celine purse out of the bag I had. It was tan and black. I placed it in front of her and then reached around for the other bag. "You deserve nice things." I said to her, handing her a Jimmy Choo, Manolo, and Christian Louboutin box. I easily spent over 10,000 dollars but she was worth it. And Sonny loves shoes. Her shoes overthrown my closet.

"God, Chad, these are gorgeous." She gushed, holding the Manolo's in her hand. Her eyes lit up when she opened the Jimmy Choo box. I knew she'd like them. And seeing as if no one helped me pick them out, I'd say I know my woman very well. "Thank you." She giggled breathlessly right before she caught herself. "I'm still angry with you." Sonny pouted, putting them back in the box and pushing them towards me.

"Sonny,"

"No."

"It's a quick drop. I promise. I'll be home faster than you think." I turned to her and assured. "This isn't my first time."

"Why did you lie about drugs, then? I asked you before."

"Grady took care of that stuff. You asked if I did it. I said no. Grady did." I smiled teasingly. "I'll be fine." I kissed her thigh. "I swear, I'll be fine. Nothing's going to happen."

"Then, let me go with you."

"No. It's not safe."

"You just said it was!"

"I said it was safe enough meaning for me. Not for you." I chuckled, smoothing back her hair and pulling her in so I can kiss her forehead. "The car never stops, so I'll be fine. I'll have Houston and all my other guys. Louis will be here with you at all times."

"But I-"

"It's fine." I peered into her brown eyes and nodded. She forced air out her nose and closed her eyes in defeat.

"You'll call me when you get there? And when you're finished with whatever business you take care of?"

Sure. "Of course..." I kissed her shortly and growled on her lips, "Then we can start making babies."

She laughed playfully and pushed me away. "You're crazy..."

"I am?" Kissing her again, I grabbed her waist. "Sonny."

"Hm?" I grinned and held up the talk pair of Jimmy Choos. They looked pink but the lady at the store said they were pastel. I don't care. They're pink to me.

I wanted to see her in them. "I want to fuck you in these." I like when Sonny's mad at me. It riles me up so much and she takes her frustration out on me. Her whole face flushed. It was cute because she didn't have a reaction at first. She kissed me shortly and caressed my face.

"Not tonight."

Damn. "Why not?"

"That time of the month." She snickered and kissed me again. "Next week."

That's a long time. "Okay... I still think you should go on birth control for the time being."

"And I still think because you have no uterus, you have no opinion." She leaned back on the bed and rubbed my hand. "If we're going to try to have kids, what's the point?"

"True." But she also told me she's not having my kid unless there's a ring on her finger. "Want to watch a movie?" She nodded and leaned against the head board. I sat between her legs and laid back on her chest, rubbing her smooth, shaved legs as she chose the movie. Honestly, I don't know how this drop is going to go. I'm a little anxious with all that's going on with Scott and I. Worried but not scared. I really hope everything goes strictly as planned.
