Feeling like being trapped in an iceberg woke him. Shivering he tried to find a blanket with searching fingers, but couldn't find anything to grab but straw. Blinking he opened his eyes and all he could see were blurs. Pain filled his head and nearly his entire body. But his right shank hurt more than all the rest of his body together. It felt like someone had stabbed him with an icicle or something like that. Hissing with pain he tried to sit up. "Hey, stay calm…" a voice sounded above him, while a firm hand gently pressed him back down onto the hay he was resting on. "Everything will be fine, alright? Father will be back soon. Don't worry…" "I'm cold…" Zuko tried to say, but didn't know if the sounds he produced made any sense at all.
It seemed like ages when finally a small squeaking-sound interrupted the clouds that were his thoughts. Steps hastily drew closer and then a blanket was spread over him, only making him feel slightly warmer. "How is he doing?" Iroh's voice managed to make his way into his clouded mind. "Not all too well…" Lu Ten answered "Have you gotten any news from his friends?" "None, so far…" Iroh sighed "I have brought clean water and some herbs though… Maybe we can cool his fever down a bit…" "I'm so sorry, Zuzu…" Lu Ten muttered, petting his cousin's head gently "I had no clue that would happen… Otherwise I'd never had brought Azula to our home…"
