*Dan's POV*
For it being the last day for us both in the hospital, it would only make sense for it to drag on and on even though it was only 10 am. When Phil and I were down getting breakfast and stuffing our faces with unlimited waffles, I couldn't help but think of what it would be like when we got back home. Whether it would be the fans upset we haven't updated in a while or
Right as I was debating getting a few more waffles, I heard an extremely familiar voice come from the opposite side of the cafeteria. Phil and I look at each other across the table and turn our heads at the same time in time to see Chris and Pj come barreling toward us with arms opens and screaming our names.
Phil and I didn't know how to respond properly for we just sat there stupidly with mouths full of waffles and syrup as they ran toward us.
Chris reached me first, followed by Pj wrapping his arms around him. Two seconds later, Chris did the same to me as well. Unfortunately, he didn't know my arm was hurt because the bandages were hiding underneath my shirt and I had finally been able to take the sling off. Pain rushed all over my shoulder and in response, I let out a small yelp when he squeezed it.
Chris instantly let go of me, throwing his hands up in the air, eyes wide open.
"Oh god, Dan! I'm so sorry! Where did I hurt you? Are you alright? Do you need a nurse?" All of these words came out in a rush and just as he was about to yell bloody murder for a nurse, I stopped his blabbering.
"Dude, it's all good. I'm just a little sore, that's all. It's not your fault at all!" I reassure him. He finally calms down and lets out a sigh of relief.
I know he sees right through my lie because I am still clutching my shoulder but smiling through the pain. He doesn't say anything about fortunately and instead, he looks from Phil to me repeatingly. Pj has an arm wrapped around Phil's shoulders, not caring at all that Phil is sitting in a wheelchair three feet smaller than him.
Chris finally speaks up and says, "Wow, you guys look like shit."
"Well, thanks. Complement accepted." I say. Everyone chuckles in response.
"Let's go back to my room so we can talk more. Pj?" Phil looks up at him, "Do you mind wheeling me? Dan has been steering me more to the right and I keep running into everything." He then looks at me and winks. I know he's telling the truth so I'm not offended. I smile, encouraging Pj who had a worried face. He nodded in response and stepped behind Phil to wheel him.
I stood up, gesturing with my hand for them to follow me.
*Phil's POV*
Dan walked next to me and held my hand the entire way back to the room. Chris walked side by side with Pj, informing us in excruciating detail about how much we look like shit. Dan and I didn't care all that much though. We were just happy they were finally here.
We reached my room and Dan held open the door for all of us. Once I was wheeled inside, I noticed just how messy the room was. You could totally tell we'd been spending the night together because the covers on the bed were pulled in to the middle were we both got out of the bed on different sides. Also the room was litter with both Dan's and I's shirts and pants since there wasn't an official dresser for us. My cheeks reddened but it didn't seem like neither Chris nor Pj cared all that much.
All that we cared about is that we were all together again. The moment was soon ruined when I saw Chris and Pj share a look and I knew something was wrong. They looked back at us and I noticed that there were tears in Chris's eyes.
"What's wrong?" Dan and I ask in perfect unison.
