Once upon a time, in the faraway land of Kanto. There was a tower in between the Saffron Kingdom and Kingdom of Celadon. It was closed off to many and was difficult to enter. Though, those that gaze from afar would notice a beautiful raven haired woman dressed in the finest yellow garbs.

The slighting of this beautiful maiden started almost a year ago. It was also around that time that the tops of the gray tower began to bloom with specks of colors. First it was green and later followed by shades of pink. It was finally covered in shades of by reds, yellows, purples and countless other colors.

Several knights have gone to the tower in hopes to catch a closer glimpse of the princess and bring her back to their respected kingdom but none have been successful. Some never even returned back. Rumors have it that they encounter a dragon. Others say that they are greeted by a witch. Some have watched their army disappear only to be replaced with dolls. A few knights returned back home inflected with poison that rapidly overcome them. Just in a short time, this once lonely tower had generated many mysteries that none knew the answers to.

Though, these things seem so far away from the maiden that lived within the tower. She simply tended to the flowers that sprouted from the tower and enjoy tea as she watched the days go by. She made sure to take good care of her beautiful yellow dress that was more like a robe with frills and shimmer.

"Princess Erika! Princess Erika!" called out a voice.

The young princess turned around to what seemed like nothing.

"Princess Erika! Rika! Down here!" said the voice.

Princess Erika looked down and was greeted by a purple clad tiny woman with clear insect like wings that sprouted from her back. She floated there while her wings moved every few seconds. She smiled widely as her hair was pinned up to the back of her head.

"Janine…How is my favorite fairy today…?" said Princess Erika as she brought her hand down to lift the fairy up to her eye level.

"I am doing pretty kickbutt today! I got more seeds for you! I think these are poisonous!" smiled Janine the fairy as she reached behind herself to show Erika her find. They were a couple of round seeds that fitted in the fae's hand.

"Those look just lovely. I am quite curious as what they will grow into….I hope something as beautiful as you," smiled Erika to the young fairy.

"Aww! Princess Rika!" said Janine as she gave Erika a huge smile. "Oh! Guess what I found in the forest today! Fu-fufufu~"

"Hmm…? What did you find…?" asked Erika as she looked at Janine.

"A knight!" said Janine as she leap up in the air.

"Oh. A knight…," said Erika as she turned her head to the side. "That sounds rather nice…"

"Yes! Maybe this one will be the one to free you," said Janine. The little fairy floated around all excited on Erika's palm.

"Yes. Perhaps….Did you happen to tell them where I was…?" asked Erika after she turn back to face Janine. A smile was on the young woman's face.

"Yep! Though I am not sure if they will come. All they did was just nodded when I talked to them," said Janine she eventually sat on Erika's palm.

"I see. Well, I guess all…We can do is hope they come," said Erika as she took a deep breath. "I believe I need to go talk to her."

"Her? I think I saw her walking in the lower corridors! Do you want me to go with you to look for her?" asked Janine. The fairy jumped quickly to levitate above Erika's palm.

"No…I will go look for her alone," smiled Princess Erika as she began to walk.

"Okay! Well, I guess I will go into the kingdom and play some sneaky pranks on the people," smiled Janine as she floated up.

"I do hope you are careful," smiled Erika before planting a kiss on Janine's forehead. The kiss had almost engulfed all of Janine's tiny face.

"Rika! Of course I will. Fu-fufufu~" said Janine. The fairy then flew away towards the forest that surrounded the tower.

Erika had went down the stairs to the lower levels of the tower. As Erika walked down the steps, the light began to lessen and the corridor was becoming darker. The princess was not a fan of darkness as it made it difficult to grow her flowers.

"Gloom!" was heard and eventually a light began to engulf the darkness surrounding Erika. The princess looked to her side to see a Gloom had joined her. The Pokemon's petals were glowing white to produce faint light. She at once bent down to carry the Gloom in her arms.

"Thank you, Gloom…I greatly appreciate this," smiled Erika who felt better now that there was light. The two eventually walked through the corridors until they found the door they were looking for.

"Yes…" said a voice on the other side of the door.

"Oh…May I come in…?" asked Erika as she opened the door ajar.

"If you must," said the voice on the other side. "What is it?"

"I had wanted to speak to you," said Erika as she walked into the room with an extremely pale woman.

The woman had long purple hair. She wore an elaborate dress that had dark purple gems sewn into it. Her shoulders were bare except for a single strap. A black crown sat on her head with three points on it. Tiny dolls surround the woman.

"Speak but make it quick," said the woman. "I must meditate soon."

"I will try not to take too much of your time, Enchantress Sabrina…," said Erika.

"It will be fine. Are you pleased? Everything to your liking?" asked Sabrina as she took a seat next to a tall mirror.

"Yes…I am quite pleased. My flowers are becoming ever so beautiful. Thank you for allowing me to stay in the upper level of your tower," said Erika as she took a seat.

"Good. I do despise the light so those upper levels were being a waste," said the witch as she faced the mirror. "Though something is bothering you. I can sense it."

"Correct…I spoke with Janine just now," said Erika as she nodded and held her Gloom tightly. "She said that she saw a knight today."

"Is that what the fairy said? I see," said Sabrina. A Kadabra teleported into the room and handed Sabrina a bowl. The enchantress nodded to the Pokemon and looked into the mirror. She dipped her fingers into it and said, "You are afraid that this knight will come here."

"Yes…That is correct," said Erika.

"Hmm…," replied Sabrina. She place a finger the mirror and smear the water against it.

The traces of water soon began to be absorbed by the mirror. The reflection of Sabrina began to swirl around until a new image appeared. It was one of a knight covered in gray armor from head to toe riding a Ponyta. The knight's armor looked roughed up but it had a bright red octagon shaped jewel surrounded by gold.

"I see," said Sabrina as she took a deep breath. "I will do as always. When the knight comes, I shall keep him from reaching you."

"Right…Please do not be too harsh with the knight," said Erika as she saw a suit of armor on the ground next to Sabrina's mirror. There was a doll next to it.

"You remember our agreement. I shall protect you from any knights who wish to rescue you and in return I may experiment and do as I wish with them. That includes making them disappear or making them into my loyal servants," said Sabrina.

"Right. Well, I guess I should not complain too much…" said Erika as she looked at a doll that lay next to the suit of armor. She reached down to pick it up. "Oh…This looks new. You did not have this one prior to the last knight that had visited. It looks cute…"

"Oh yes. That one. It is rather new," said Sabrina as she gave a smile the bore her teeth. "Princess, when will you ever face this fear of princes and knights?"

"Excuse me…?" said Erika as she paused from playing with the doll in her hands. She looked down at her Gloom and said, "I do not have a fear…It is just that. I do not wish…To be wed yet."

"Even if your father, the king, commands it," said Sabrina as she lean back in her chair.

"Yes…I will wed…When I deem it is time," said Erika as she place the doll back on the ground.

"I see. Well, I shall not complain. Who would have known that a famed princess would come running to my doorstep with a Gloom in her arms wishing for refuge with me," smiled Sabrina. She rested her head on her palm. "I can say that you have at least provided me with a nice stream of subjects for my spells."

Erika remembered that day quite well. Her father had finally issued the command to be married. A man from the neighboring land of Johto was to be her suitor. A prince from the Violet Kingdom was to be her husband but Erika didn't want that. So she ran away to the Saffron Kingdom which was ruled by the Enchantress Sabrina. The two kingdoms were on friendly terms and Erika trusted the witch to keep her well protected. So far it has worked out nicely and Erika has mostly enjoyed her stay with Sabrina.

"If that is all then please leave. I must rest for when this knight does appear," said Sabrina as she closed her eyes. "And please dim the light from your Gloom."

"Yes…," said Erika as she got up and left the room.

The sun was beginning to set and the tower had not been visited by a knight. Erika kept a lookout for any and was relieved that the day did not bring one. The evening should be peaceful as Erika hoped the knight would want a full night rest before facing whatever challenge that awaited them within the tower. Erika wonder what form will Sabrina take this time. Maybe it will be a fierce dragon. Perhaps Sabrina would go as herself. The witch could just hide in the shadows and drive the knight mad if she wanted to. There was a chance that even Janine would join in and poison the knight with some poison if the knight had his armor removed. Those all sound like nice ways to scare the knight away thought Erika.

The princess had begun to doze off until a loud bang was heard. The sound of massive doors slamming open soon filled the tower as Erika rose up.

"Oh no…!" said Erika as she slowly got out of bed.

"The knight! He is here!" yelled out Janine. The fairy had shot into the room. "I wonder what Sabrina will do with him!"

Erika went down the stairs as fast as she could. The young princess eventually made it to the bottom floor with her Gloom in tow. She arrived in the grand entrance hall in time to see Sabrina facing off against the young knight. The knight was shorter compared to the others in the past yet was able to stay on par with Sabrina as he banish his sword.

"Fall! Fall to your knees!" shouted Sabrina as her eyes glowed blue and pointed a finger at the knight.

The gem on the knight's chest glowed red as a protective barrier surrounded the knight.

"So your armor has an enchanted gem. I see. Then it looks as if I must remove it from you," said Sabrina as she prepares another one of her spells.

The knight charges after Sabrina with their sword raised high. The witch looked surprised as nobody had ever attacked her in the middle of an incantation. The attack cut though Sabrina's clothes but it was too late. The spell began to have an effect on Sabrina as she began to grow in size.

Sabrina's pale skin began to gain a dark purple hue as it harden to become a layer of scales. A long tail whipped behind Sabrina and large wings sprouted out from her back. Her eyes became a deep pink color as the crown on top of Sabrina's head became a five pointed horns.

Erika simply stood on the side as she watched the witch become an enormous dragon before the small knight.

"Now fall before me!" screech out the dragon as it let out a roar of pink flames.

The knight stood its ground and tried to push on. Her armor glowed blue against the pink flames but still struggled to muscle though the attack.

It was then that Sabrina quick spun around and whipped her tail against the knight. The figure flew across the entrance hall and against the wall. This had cause the gem on the knight's chest piece to come off to reveal that it was simply a Starmie.

"I see…Clever," said Sabrina as the dragon stepped forward and observed the fallen Starmie. "It had used Camouflage to blend in with your rubbish armor. That explain how you were able to withstand my onslaught.

"I didn't need Starmie to beat such a witch," grunted the knight. Erika noted that the knight sounded rather unusual though. Nothing like the ones from the past.

"Tch. What a fool. Then allow me to show you what happens to foolish knights," said Sabrina as she began to loom over the knight.

"And let me show you what happens to stupid dragons!" yelled out the knight. The knight threw it's sword at the dragon. "Starmie, Water Pulse!"

Erika clearly could hear the difference in the knight's voice. It sounded much higher pitch for a normal knight. It wasn't long until a thought had come to Erika but she found it rather difficult to believe.

The sword flew in the air and was soon struck by the Starmie's Water Pulse which made it gain a spin.

"Don't even try. It is fruitle-!" said Sabrina before the spinning sword had struck her. She let out a loud roar as she stumbled back in pain.

"Good job, Starmie," said the knight as it slowly got back up.

"Stay right there!" bellowed Sabrina as she whip her head towards the knight. Her pink eyes had a blue glow to them as she shot a wave of psychic energy at the knight. It has struck the knight and made him fall backwards.

"No one makes a fool out of me!" said Sabrina as she stomped towards the fallen knight. As she stood before him, the dragon had a claw up in the air ready to slash the fallen figure.

"No…! Stop…! Please…!" yelled out Erika as she ran out from her hiding place.

The yellow cladded princess stood between the purple dragon and dull gray knight. Her hands were up as she tried her best to defend the knight from the menacing dragon. Erika's face was stern as she tried to face off against the dragon.

"Princess! Move at once! I am only doing what you told me to do!" yelled out Sabrina as she had her claws ready to finish off the knight.

"No…! Please…Not until I see something first…," said Erika. She stood there staring at Sabrina. The dragon looked upset and was going to ignore the request but knew she had no power over the princess. A loud huff could be heard after Erika slowly turned around and faced the knight.

"Please, dear knight…May you take off your helmet," asked Erika in her most kind and endearing voice.

"Umm…Princess," said the knight between coughs in an attempt to make his voice sound deeper. "I am not sure that is such a wise idea. You know. Cough…With the dragon and all."

"Oh please…I do request to see your face," said Erika as she insisted. "Just this once…"

"Well…If you say so," said the knight. The knight was hesitant at first when it came to the request that was asked of it. With a heavy sigh, the knight slowly removed the helmet to reveal long orange locks, a pretty face and beautiful pool of green eyes.

"Just as I thought…You are a beautiful young lady," smiled Erika as she step closer towards the knight.

"You could have fooled me," said Sabrina as she began to shrink back to her human form.

"Hey!" yelled out the knight. "At least I don't turn into some ugly demon dragon!"

"Tch…," said Sabrina as she began to nurse the wound on her chest with her magic.

"Dear, sir…?" asked Erika as she stared at the knight. "Do tell me your name. What brings you here…?"

"I am actually no sir. More like Lady. Lady Misty from the Cerulean Kingdom in the land of Kanto," said Misty as she tried to stand tall before Erika. "I came here to proof myself to my older sisters that I am better than them by slaying the dragon of this tower."

"A tomboyish lady. Who would have thought," said Sabrina as she glared at Misty.

"Yes…A tomboyish lady," said Erika as she thought about Misty words. She was rather amazed nonetheless by Misty's feat. "Still, why did you feel the need to prove yourself…?"

"Because my stupid sisters keep picking on me! Telling me that I would never be beautiful or better than them! This and that! Always on my case for something! They keep says I should try harder to be like them and I don't want that! I don't want to be lounging around doing nothing while others rule the kingdom for them. I want to be out there doing stuff! Getting some action! Having fun! That is why I came here! So I can do something great and just get out of the castle."

"Oh…," said Erika as she reflected upon Misty's words. She wasn't much different from Erika and yet did something much different. Instead of just hiding away in some tower, Misty decided to face her challenges head on. It was noble. Erika began to feel some regret in her actions now but finally understood what she needed to do.

"Sir Misty," said Erika in a clear and precise tone. "I would want you to be my knight…!"

"What?" exclaimed Misty as she looked surprised.

"Well, that settles that," said Sabrina as she looked unimpressed.

"Yes. I want you to accompany me back home and be my loving knight," said Erika as she moved closer and gave her new knight a kiss on the lips. The princess then looked at Sabrina and said, "Thank you very much Sabrina the witch queen for assisting me.

Misty went red but gave a nervous smile. Sabrina just looked uncaring as she watched Erika run over to Misty's side.

"O-o-okay. Fine. That sounds good to me," said Misty as she gave a smile to Erika.

"Erika…," called out a voice.

"Excuse me…?" replied Erika as she blinked a few times.

"Erika…," said the voice again. "Wake up!"

"Mmm…Excuse me…?" repeated Erika as her vision blurred. Slowly things were taking shape.

"Pumpkin! Wake up!" said a voice that sounded a lot like Misty. "Are we going to go out or not?"

"Sir Misty…You were supposed to say…We lived happily ever after…," said a tired Erika as she slowly began to stir. Her head was resting upon Misty's lap.

"Huh? What do you mean?" asked a puzzled Misty.

"Hmm…I suppose it was just a dream," said Erika as she slowly raised her head. She had a satisfied smile on her face.

"Really? I bet it was a good one. Tell me about it," laughed Misty.

"Well, Janine was there…She was a fairy. I was a princess and you were my knight. Also…Sabrina was a witch," said Erika as she recounted her dream.

"Sounds about right for the bit-," said Misty before she caught herself. "I mean, pretty cool! Sounds like how things are normally."

"Yes…It was quite nice…," smiled Erika as she imagine herself in Misty's arms as they rode away into the sunset on top of a Ponyta.

"Well, how about we get something to eat! I am hungry!" smiled Misty as she got up. She then offered Erika her hand. "Would you please join me, Princess Erika? Our steed awaits!"

"Why, I would love to, Sir Misty…," smiled Erika as she slowly took Misty's hand and looked into her prince's eyes.
