GDW AU chapter 21-Heart to Heart talk
Gin had just heard from his mate John that their son had almost attacked Ryuin and her brother when the pair had told him that their army wouldn't win and that he got angry at the pair for saying that. The silver Akita sighed, thinking about his son's frustrations on his missing sister, Belle. The little guy had tried in vain to find any sort of clue about where she could be, but had found absolutely no leads. Yet he had refused to give up hope. That gave the Leader of Ohu some comfort in these dark times of war. It gave him hope.
"I just hope he hasn't gotten in over his head on this…he tends to get very involved on whatever he's obsessed over. I want to find Belle just as much as he and his siblings do, but…the chances of finding her alive are next to none." he muttered to himself, shedding a tear that he quickly wiped away. The Akita began to walk again, putting the horrid thought out of his mind for the time being in hopes of focusing on other tasks like finding info on Sniper's army. Two of his mate's children had found them, claiming to have defected for witnessing their brother's death, although they wouldn't say why he was killed, only that he died a few days ago. Rumors around the pack were also talking about two of Sniper's children, saying that they had left. Gin wasn't able to verify this rumor, so he left it alone.
When Gin had arrived to where his son was along with the duo, he made a quick look around him before he went inside the small, cramped den. He made eye contact with his mate before he did so with Yukimura and began to speak with him, "Son, why did you lash out at them like that? I know you've been stressed out but…" he asked as he watched his son's expression turn dark and bitter. Gin winced at what his son began to spout,
"They said that we couldn't win, mother! If word gets out-!" he began.
"Yukimura, I keep telling you-" interjected Ryuin, exhausted and tired of having to repeat herself over and over again. Kyrou stayed quiet and said nothing as he watched his sister argue with the son of Gin. Part of him was afraid to speak out. Then, he saw Yukimura glare at her and he snarled,
"You're Lucy's daughter, you think I'm just gonna trust you because my parents told me to do so?! To hell with that! I'm leaving!" he spat as he tried to leave, but he was stopped by Gin, who was rather unhappy with the way his son was acting.
"That's enough, Yukimura." he said, preventing his son from leaving. Yukimura glared at his mother and kept trying to move past Gin, but he was blocked each time without fail. Eventually, Yukimura asked his mother a question. Gin waited for him to begin talking.
"…Mother…I know you think that things are getting better, but how do you know for sure that we can trust them? Aren't you the least bit…?" he paused and trailed off mid-sentence. He hesitated to say what he really felt about the pair. Gin, after a few moments of silence, replied to Yukimura's question in a quiet and calm voice.
"Scared of them? No, I'm not scared of those two. I don't see them as a threat. If what they say about Lucy's army is true, we need to ask them for more information on what they know. In the meantime…" he said as he put his paw on his son's forehead, "…I want you to leave them alone for know. Okay, Yukimura? Can you promise me this?" he said with a small smile, trying to make his son feel not so bad about lashing out at the pair. His breath caught in his throat as he waited for his son to answer him truthfully. After a few moments, his son responded in low voice,
"Okay…I'll leave them alone, mom." he said in a monotone voice as his ears flattened against his head. Gin gave his son a small hug and smiled at him, asking if he would like to go take a walk the following day. Yukimura responded a smile of his own and agreed. After that, he left to go play elsewhere, leaving the Leader alone with his mate and the two siblings.
"Now then…you two have something to say about Lucy and Sniper's army, correct? Tell us what you know…"

The white furred Akita was angry with his young brother; why hadn't he snapped out of his sadness completely yet? The first few months were understandable, but now it had become annoying and a hindrance to the army. Something had to be done and soon he thought…so he went to his other younger brother Hiyan in order to figure out how to help Gin.
He found Hiyan lying on his back, eyes closed and his paws touching his belly. Giyan walked over and blocked some of the sun, making his brother open his eyes and stare at him.
"Why ya blocking out the sun, Giyan? Can't you see I'm sunbathing?" he said, closing his eyes. Giyan poked him a few times before he asked a question, "Hey…I got something to ask you and it's about Gin." he said as Hiyan rolled over onto his stomach, shaking his fur while he listened to his brother.
"I'm listening…" said Hiyan as he stood up on his paws, pausing to shake off more dirt and leaves that had gotten stuck to his body. "So what do want try and do?" he asked.

Gin sighed as he went to the water hole to get a drink as he was thinking about how to approach Gajou without getting caught. He remembered the passage behind Futago Pass that his father used to sneak up on Akakabuto or from what he was told was the demon bear's doppelganger, Gaki, who hadn't been seen since the attack over a year ago.
He let out a sigh through his nose as he continued to drink the cool, refreshing water. When he was done drinking, he opened his eyes to see the reflections of his two brothers standing behind him. He turned around to see that they looked very serious.
"Is something wrong, my brothers?" he asked in a polite tone, hoping to find out why they looked so angry. The response he got shocked him.
Hiyan was the one to speak, "Brother, I know what happened that day hurt you…" Gin's heart dropped, "…But if you want us to help you heal, you need to tell us what happened…but only if you want to." he said, hugging his brother tightly.
Gin let out a deep sigh and summed up the courage to talk about what had happened…

"Hmmm, I wonder what Mother wants for dinner…" said Axel as he was walking along with James and his half-sister Yuko. John had sent them out to gather food while he looked for Gin and his brother to discuss a meeting on what to do next.
James shrugged as he scanned the area around them for something that looked edible to eat. His stomach growled loudly to prove this. Yuko couldn't help but smile and ruffle her little brother's fur, earning a glare from him that made her laugh a bit. The pair messed with each other for a few minutes before Axel suddenly stopped. Unaware that he had stopped, Yuko and James kept walking until they both bumped into Axel, sending all three dogs down into the dirt.
"Ow! Watch it, you two! Be more careful!" grunted Axel as he shoved both of them off. He tried to focus on what had caught his attention earlier, ignoring the complaining of his friends. He walked over to the bushes and stuck his head in, soon finding his mother and uncles talking about something.
"Hey, the very least you could…" Yuko cut herself off when she saw what Axel was staring at. James stuck his head out a second after.
The three stayed silent to try and overhear what Gin and his brothers were talking about…
