Sakura quickly healed a child and handed him back to his anxious mother. Who headed towards the stronghold for the civilians. Most of the civilians had evacuated quickly enough to get to safety, those who hadn't met with their unfortunate ends. The village had known that war was upon them but they hoped it wouldn't be so soon. The pinkette was shocked, she wasn't ready for this, she wasn't ready to face him. Her home was splattered in vivid red and flames crackled from the buildings and added a distinctive contrast to the ash filled sky. It was a morbid masterpiece of pain and destruction. Tears welled in her eyes as she watched the people fight so viscously.

Naruto grimaced as his arm hung uselessly by his side. A large chunk of his shoulder had been torn out. He summoned some of the kybuki's chakra to heal the injury faster. Sasuke aimed a kunai straight at his opponents head, the blonde jumped back. His blood trailed on the dry ground. With his good arm, he fished out two kunai knives that knocked the Uchiha's weapons away from his head.

Sasuke glanced at his former teammate with disdain. He felt of disgusted as he saw his former village. But the man who had once consider himself the Uchiha's friend, stood strong in his resolve to save his home. The two rushed at each other, the force so great it caused a whiplash effect. Everything within a five-mile radius flattened. The two men tore relentlessly at each other, which caused chunks of their flesh and blood to splatter on the ground. There was no stopping the two as they ripped each other apart like rabid dogs.

Kakashi's headband was pulled up to expose his implanted Sharingan eye. The red eye glared straight ahead at the one who was born with the kekkei genkai. Three pools of crimson swirled with black as the two ninjas barreled towards each other. Katanas clashed with sparks, metal on metal roared. They moved in blurs of colours, sparks ignited when their weapons collided. Blood gushed from the wound below the silver haired man's eye. Itachi paid no heed to the shallow cut on his upper arm. More blood trailed from various wounds on the ninja's body.

Tsunade stared willfully into the eyes of Madara Uchiha. The dark haired man would have laughed at her defiance. But this situation was far too serious to find any humor in. The blonde haired woman pushed all her animosity and dread into her heart because if it was the last thing she was going to do. She was going to kill the man in front of her. The Uchiha let a smirk grace his lips as he prepared for battle against a legendary sanin. "I wonder how well your student will take the news of your demise." He asked the angry blonde.

"Oh and here I was wondering how your little group would take the news of your death," Tsunade replied.

"Don't worry I'll be sure to comfort her."

Sakura raced past the fights. Eyes scanned the destruction for the monster. Any opponent that rushed at her were intercepted by someone else, she was thankful for that. As she wanted to keep the causalities to a minimum. Her heart thudded in her chest. Tears streamed freely down her cheeks. She tried to focus on the malicious chakra. But in all the conflict it was hard. Until she felt a strong spike of chakra. It's power held so much evil it had temporarily stopped the war. However, the enemies chakra also seemed to spike. As if they responded to their leader. Waves of maliciousness coursed throughout the village. She raced across the unleveled ground and tripped a couple of times in her haste. But she forced herself past the injured victims.

Her fellow ninjas had fallen. She was glad she didn't see any of her friends. Even though the thought sickened her. She neared the center of the village. The ash lingered in the air, it made it hard for her to see. But she saw two tall silhouettes. She knew one was that of her mentor. The other was the reason for her pace. She was upon them in seconds. Tsunade stood tall, black marks decorated her face. Which meant she unleashed her ultimate technique. Madra stood taller, blood coated his hands and a whisper on his cheek. None of the blood that coated him was his, only his victims

Sakura struggled with her decision. As both people stared holes into her. She walked closer to the Uchiha. Fear moved her forward as well as her heart. No more people were going to lose their lives, be they foe or ally. She couldn't stand the stench of death. She continued closer to the dangerous man and ignored her Hokage. What she was about to do would be considered treason. But it was for the greater good. She steeled her resolve, ignored her sorrowful soul and prepared her heart. Once close enough she jumped onto the Uchiha. Lips smashed roughly into his. She tasted blood but kept the contact. Madara kept his eyes on the Hokage.

Tsunade gasped as she witnessed her students betrayal. Her eyes avoided those of the Uchiha's. His blood red eyes seemed to glow in victory. The Hokage's ire rose along with her pain. It broke her heart to see her student in the arms of the enemy. But she knew her student well enough, to know she wasn't betraying her village. She was trying to save them, but most people wouldn't see it that way. Sakura would be one of the most wanted missing ninjas. The Hokage was filled with pride. Because she knew that this was the greatest sacrifice any ninja could make.

"Please, I'll do anything. Please just stop." Sakura said, tears still flowed down her cheeks. A smile slowly spread across his face. His right hand tangled into her dirty locks. As he forced her head to remain in place. He lowered his face. Their lips meet again which caused her to flinch. She tried to move away when his tongue parted her lips. His left hand had pulled her closer, his long fingers spread across her hip.

The next thing sakura felt was pain. It started at her heels and traveled up her legs with a searing ache. She turned her head. Madara's fingers tugged at her hair slightly. but not enough to deter her. She saw her Hokage convulsing on the ground. Bolts of electricity surged through her body. Leaving blistered flesh behind. Her body seized suddenly, fingers occasionally twitching. As the last jolts of electricity left her body. The electricity sparked across the ground, scorching everything in its destructive path.

Sakura tried to pull away. She tried to go to her mentor. She needed to help her. But Madara's grip remained strong. Even with her desperate struggles. Her hair ripping from her scalp, torso contorted to one side, her arms flailing around her. She tried with all her might and chakra. But the green energy went haywire. She couldn't concentrate, not when Tsunade's body lay still. The woman's appendages had stopped twitching. The man had allowed her to fully turn around. So her back was now pressed firmly against his chest. His arm lay across her stomach. She could clearly see her mentor. The image forever etched into her mind.
