Chapter 21
Taiyang sat happily in the lounge room, with Kolbe and Blake sleeping on the couch with a blanket over the two, which he didn't want to know what was underneath, turning to the news report on his scroll before hearing footsteps, with an audible mutter of "ow" every second step, making him look up to see Yang in a happy dishevelled state.
A pained smile on her face, while rubbing at a love bite on her neck.
"He really did a number on you didn't he?" Taiyang said with Yang going rigid, her face mimicking a tomato, turning to her father who hid a smile behind the scroll, leaning to the right to avoid a thrown cookie, making him look up to see Ruby munching on a cookie, beside Penny who was brushing her teeth happily.
It was that moment Blake leaned up with a yawn, stretching to show herself fully clothed in nightwear, while Kolbe wore pants and a black tan top, his mouth open with a snore.
"Good morning kitty" Yang said while walking carefully to the couch with a wince, turning to see Blake sit beside her while rubbing her eyes, showing a love bite on her neck.
"Morning to you too goldilocks" Blake said with her voice slowly waking her up, turning to Blake with a smile before Taiyang spoke.
"I'll be going away for the next two or four days, I want you and Ruby to make sure Zwei is taken care of, Qrow will check in every day, and Yang- Yang turned to her father after checking her hair- Don't make a party like last time" Taiyang said with Yang chuckling nervously before her father stood up, showing huntsmen gear at the ready.
"I love you both so take care" Taiyang said happily with Ruby hugging his side, which allowed him to pet her hair before the two separated with Taiyang leaving, allowing the girls to clean up the house while Kolbe remained asleep.
An hour later
Kolbe still remained asleep, which actually was stated with Weiss who entered the room fully dressed for the day, a frown on her delicate features while the girls were playing a videogame, with Ruby looking to be the victor, it was when Weiss softly poked Kolbe did he stir awake with slurred words, wiping his mouth of the saliva before leaning upright, blinking his eyes before rubbing them, getting a look of annoyance from Yang which he smirked towards.
"How you feeling Yang?" Kolbe questioned with his clothing melting into a Matix The Big Game Hooded Jacket, with warm denim jeans with combat boots, a Faunus designed beanie forming on his head with a pair of sunglasses.
"I'm awake, so what's the plan for today's activities?" Kolbe questioned with Ruby pausing the game for everyone to turn in thought.
"We could ask the towns sheriff for any Grimm patrols, give us some side experience" Blake offered happily, turning to Yang.
"We could go to a club, start a fun fight" shot down, Weiss' turn
"I'm sure you all would find my activities boring"
"I'm up for some patrols" Kolbe said with Ruby and Penny not thinking any plans
"Well, it's decided, grimm patrols it is" Kolbe said with a cheer, which Ruby followed by punching upward, enthusiastically.
An hour later
The group sat outside of the law enforcement building, a tired Yang leaning against Kolbe who wore a neck scarf over his mouth, his usual attire was switched with a denim vest over a muscle shirt, his pants sporting his left legs rolled up with an ammo pouch keeping it up like a buckle, showing a foldable sniper rifle hanging from his back, his feet sporting combat boots with metal plates at the toes.
"So, this is the weapon you got confiscated before coming to Beacon?" Ruby questioned with Kolbe chuckling nervously
"I almost shot someone's head off" Kolbe said with Weiss turning to him in shock.
"Please tell me it wasn't intentional" Weiss said with Kolbe holding his hands out in confusion.
"I didn't hate the person so it doesn't count, if that made any sense" Kolbe said before looking up to see Blake leaving the office with her scroll in the air, making Kolbe stand up with Yang snorting herself awake, followed by Weiss and Ruby following him across the street lights while carrying Yang, who stood up fixing her clothing, making Kolbe smack her left cheek, getting a "eep" while grabbing her ass, making Kolbe laugh heart fully with Blake showing team RWBY+one the mission report, showing a detailed summary of grimm, his eyes narrowing with his eyes glowing yellow before relaxing to the brown.
"it's just east outside of town" Ruby said with a smile, leading the way to the area, which allowed Kolbe to turn to the back of the group to see Penny checking her scroll, until Kolbe snatched it softly, making her look up alarmed until he held it out for her.
"You shouldn't check things when walking, easier to get hurt" Kolbe said with Penny chuckling nervously while twirling her right foot in place before following after Kolbe and team RWBY.
Kolbe was currently climbing a cliff face, with his sniper ready for aiming, stopping to take the view with a smile, taking a deep breath before catching multiple scents, making his eyes glow yellow on instinct, scanning the lower landscape before spotting white, making him pull out a hook and rope from ash, hooking it into the cliff face with his sniper aimed.
"I have a vantage point" Kolbe said calmly while scanning the area around team RWBY and penny, waiting patiently before getting a reply from his scroll.
"How'd you find us so quickly?" the voice of Weiss spoke with Kolbe chuckling.
"Well, all I did was look the conspicuous figure ofwhite in all the green" Kolbe said with silence following, which was ended with yang giggling.
"He got you there"
"Oh quiet you" Weiss' voice spoke before Kolbe noticed movement to the south east of RWBY who were walking north, making him clock his sniper which glowed red with a fire shot in the barrel.
"Heads up, movement south east of your location" Kolbe said with his scope focusing on the area before he clicked a button, showing four Boarbatusks, rolling towards team RWBY until they were cut down by Penny who received praise from RWBY, leaving Kolbe in his temporary snipers nest before slinging his sniper over his shoulders, unlatching the hook which allowed him to free fall, swinging on a branch, he landed on another branch which allowed him to run in RWBY's direction before leaping out to a clearing, landing with a roll to see Weiss and Yang, already killing two beowolf's, nodding to him before they continued on.
With the day being uneventful afterwards
At home
Team RWBY ran inside hastily with a downpour of rain, with Weiss running to the bathroom, while Yang was combing her hair to rid it of twigs, which Ruby helped by slowly pulling a stick out, followed by Penny helping Ruby's hair before Blake who had a Jacket over her head noticed they were missing one person.
"Where'd Kolbe go?" Blake questioned with Weiss returning with her hair down, looking around the living room before looking out the window to see Kolbe standing in the rain with a smile on his face.
"Forgot, he's a wolf Faunus" Yang said with a nervous chuckle, with Ruby tilting her head in confusion.
"Why is him being a wolf Faunus so important?"
"They enjoy the rain more than other Faunus" Blake said while moving away from the screen door, watching Kolbe walking to the door, opening it calmly before stepping in, making Yang throw a towel over his head which he begrudgingly dried himself, letting his jacket and shirt melt into ash that seeped into his skin, leaving him shirtless with his pants drenched.
"The showers upstairs, you stink of sweat, and you still have mud on you legs" Yang said while moving to her shower, leaving Ruby to her own, which left Kolbe to the spare bedrooms bathroom.
"Why is it I always get in these situations?" Kolbe muttered to himself as he entered the bathroom, seeing a large shower that looked like it was from a beach resort.
"Though, you have to enjoy the outcomes" Kolbe said with a shrug.
Neo sat at the coffee shop in silence, a scroll in her hands showing a news report of the White Fang, looking around her for Kolb with a sigh, looking back down to continue reading until she noticed someone sitting before her, making her look up to see Kolbe sitting down with a hot chocolate.
"Yo" Kolbe said beneath his neck scarf, adjusting it to be more comfy.
"Don't yo, me, where have you been, we were supposed to meet up yesterday" Neo said with Kolbe chuckling nervously.
"Uh, yeah, Team RWBY invited me to their home for the weekend" Kolbe said before Neo sighed, rubbing her eyes in annoyance.
"So, what is it you wanted to inform me of?" Kolbe questioned with Neo looking up.
"I almost got caught" Neo said with Kolbe leaning forward, a serious look gracing his features.
"Whose the one hunting?" Kolbe questioned.
"He's not hunting, she wants to help" Neo said with a look of worry
