My heart was racing. There he was, sitting with that insane, creepy grin stretched impossibly wide across his face. At least, were I assumed his face was.

"It's been a long time, Sarah. Back for your limbs, are you?" He said, his grin widening. I glared at him, trying to put on a strong front, but I felt like crawling into a corner inside. He remained unfazed, his grin unwavering.

"Oh? You're mad? This space speeds up emotions, and time. Be careful, girl." He said, but my anger refused to heed his warning. He was telling me to be careful, after what he did to me!

"Shut up," I replied, dangerously calm. "I came here to ask you a question. Take what you want, but just give me a clear answer. He seemed amused by this, ticking me off even more.

"You're going to willing let me take the little you have left? This question must be very important for you to go that far. Ask away, alchemist." He said. I took a deep breath and spoke.

"How do you turn a human-based homunculus human again?"

He laughed loudly and stood up, walking over to me.

"Alright then. You know what to do."

I gulped and shakily turned around, staring at the huge door. Slowly, my feet moved, carrying my trembling body toward the door. I reached forward to push the door open.

Thud.

"OW!"

I whirled around to see who had spoken. My eyes widened in pure shock. I was stuck on the spot, unmoving.

It was Edward.

It was him, no doubt at all. His blonde hair had grown longer than I remembered. He was covered in blood and a bandage was wrapped tightly around his head. A makeshift split rested on his left arm and we has wearing worn-down black pants and shirt. He hadn't noticed me yet, and was looking behind him at the other door. He turned back around and his eyes widened as his eyes landed on me. Suddenly a boy, maybe a teenager, appeared facing the door. He had long blond hair falling carelessly around his body, and he was stark naked. To add onto that, he was so skinny you could clearly see his ribs. Before Edward had a chance to speak, he twirled around. The other boys turned as well. Edward's eyes opened impossibly wide and his mouth opened, but no words came out.

Wait, I thought, who's that boy?

He lunged at the boy. The door behind us slammed open and tiny black hands shot, out of it, a huge eye appearing in the middle of the black mass. They lashed around for a second, then shot toward Edward and I. I tried to pull away from the hands to get a better look at the boy, but to no avail. Edward ignored the hands as he charged toward the boy.

"AL!"

I froze at the name, paying no heed to the hands.

That boy...

That boy was Alphonse?

I was frozen in shock as the hands pulled me toward the door. Edward screamed Alphonse's name at the top of his lungs over and over as he fought against the hands, trying with all his strength to reach Alphonse, but the hands mercilessly pulled him away. Alphonse stood as Edward pleaded for him to hurry and come with him. He looked up at him.

"I can't. You're not my soul."

Edward froze.

"I can't come with you."

Edward was silent for a second.

"Damn...DAMNIIIIIIIIIIT!" He yelled at the top of his lungs and glared at Alphonse, gripping the doors to keep from being pulled in, "SOMEDAY, I WILL COME GET YOU! NOT MATTER WHAT!"

My vision turned black as I entered the darkness. It was like that for a few seconds, then it turned white. Images started to fly past me like camera rolls. I knew what would happen, but there was no way to prepare for something like this. I screamed in pain. It felt like my head was going to explode. The images flashed past me, faster and faster and faster. I forced my eyes to stay open. As it continued, two outlines appeared in front of me, holding their hands out to me.

It was my parents.

"MOM! DAD!"

I lunged at them and stretched out my arm as far as I could to grasp their hand. My fingers were inches away when it all disappeared, replaced by cold air and darkness. It took me a few seconds for my eyes to adjust to the dark. I looked around. Sitting next to me has a boy. His long, black hair was pulled back in a ponytail. We was wearing a black coat and nothing underneath but bandages. He had a royal air around him and I had to admit, he was handsome.

"Brother! Thank goodness you're OK!" (I am NOT saying 'thank god' :( )

I turned to see Alphonse squeezing the life out of Edward, but he broke free and started yelling at Alphonse.

"Geez, you're overreacting! You worry too much!" He shouted. Alphonse fell to his hands and knees.

"Brother...thank goodness...you're alive...you're alive..." Alphonse whispered. His voice was trembling.

Edward went quiet. He lowered his head and patted Alphonse on the head.

"Sorry. I made you worry." Edward said quietly, "You're right...it must have been scary. It must have been hard...I'm sorry."

"Well this is a surprise."

I turned toward the voice to see a simply standing there, looking at us. Edward spoke, shocked by the man.

"Hohenheim?!"
