20. Watching Rise of The Guardians

"Are you sure you wanna watch this?" Leo asked as Reyna grabbed some jellybeans instead of popcorn.

"Yes, Valdez, apparently it's amazing. At least, Annabeth, Piper and Hazel told me." Reyna shrugged as she sat down. Leo took in her appearance from his spot. She was wearing a baggy purple t-shirt and shorts, her hair was in a braid and it fell on her shoulders. She looked gorgeous. Most girls wouldn't - couldn't - look this gorgeous when they weren't dressed up, but Reyna always looked beautiful.

"Stop staring," Reyna commanded fidgeting with her braid, a flush on her cheek.

Leo grinned cheekily and winked at her. Reyna gave him a glare but eventually her face broke into a dazzling smile. "Leo, is it that hard to put on a DVD and then going back and sitting on the couch?" She asked.

"Well," Leo started thoughtfully. "I do have a beautiful view from here."

"I have a feeling you don't want to watch." Reyna said.

"I have a feeling you want to kill me." Leo mimicked her.

"That, I do, occasionally," Reyna replied and Leo acted offended. "Now, Flame Boy, I'm cold. Come here."

"Whatever the lady wants." Leo raised his hands in surrender and went to sit beside Reyna

"Why does Pitch wants the Guardians to be destroyed?" Leo asked. He had her arm around Reyna and was playing lazily with her braid. He was trying to pay attention to the film but the only thing that looked interesting to him was North's workshops and the elves. Leo had a plan of building an automaton that looked like the elf in the movie and give it to Reyna.

"Hush," Reyna muttered. Leo looked a bit crest fallen and Reyna seemed to have realized that. She turned to face Leo with a sympathetic look in her eyes. "He wanted to be believed in, like Jack Frost. Only Jack didn't resort to evil whilst Pitch did."

Leo nodded. Somehow he could relate to it. People didn't believe him easily - that time he designed an automaton like the one Daedalus shifted inside - Annabeth didn't believe him until he showed her. Then she almost tried to murder him for no apparent reason. He'll never understand Annabeth, no one would, other than Percy.

But resorting to evil? That looks like a new low to Leo. Whatever he did, he can't think of betraying Buford the Table, and how could he even think about betraying Queenie, here?

Now on the screen there was a bunny - The Easter Bunny - Jack Frost, Santa Claus, Sandman - Leo never heard of him, he had a feeling it was Chinese, he should try asking Frank - and the Tooth Fairy. Personally, Leo found the Tooth Fairy a bit ridiculous, even Reyna found it annoying, she didn't tell him but he got it. Leo was pretty sure Reyna liked Jack Frost.

Leo tugged at her braid again. Reyna turned to look at him - a bit annoyed - but as soon as she looked at him, Leo captured her lips with his. Reyna pushed Leo and got over him and started kissing him passionately.

Reyna smelt like jellybeans and... like herself. Leo liked it.

Leo smelt like oil and smoke - like a bonfire. It always helped to calm her down. Reyna kissed him so many times, yet somehow she couldn't quench the thirst in her.

They didn't even notice how many minutes had gone by and that they were on the floor. Reyna's t-shirt was almost opened, when Annabeth entered the room without knocking. "Reyna, I came to, OH! Uh, I'm sorry." Annabeth said loudly before closing her eyes and turning around while Leo and Reyna scrambled of off each other.

"I'm really sorry." Annabeth apologized again. "I just came to give these papers to you, Frank's busy ... Were you watching Rise of The Guardians?" She asked while Reyna blushed before taking the papers.

Leo was smirking at Annabeth, who looked a bit shell shocked. "I'll just go then." Annabeth muttered.

"Yes, go," Reyna commanded.

"Are you sure that's what happened?" Percy asked as he swung an arm around his girl friend.

"What makes you think I'll be lying to you?" Annabeth huffed.

"No, I'm not saying you're lying... But Reyna and Leo?" Percy asked. They were walking round the city of Rome. Annabeth just finished retelling the event that she just witnessed. After she left, Annabeth was sure Leo and Reyna continued with their previous work.

"What Reyna and Leo?" Jason asked, he overheard Annabeth telling Percy about them. And if it was his ex-best friend and best friend's names popping up in a conversation, of course you're going to be curious. Piper was with Jason.

"Oh, they were making out, when I went to give Reyna some files from Frank. You know he's on a date." Annabeth explained.

"Shit!"

"You owe me ten drachmas!" Piper yelled excitedly. Annabeth and Percy just looked at each other and shook their heads.

Ok, I finished it. I have an idea for my next Leyna fiction. It's an AU, all human, no god. A snippet from my fic 'High School And Celebrities Don't Mix.'
