Ch.21

Five months later

"Babe will you hurry up. We'll be late." Jade screams up at me.

"I'm almost done." I yell back.

I was in my room getting ready. Today was the big day. I was getting ready for the wedding... the wedding. It sounds so weird. Who would have thought that five months ago I would be going to my dad's wedding. That I would actually want to go to his wedding. But I am. It's been a weird couple of months, between the accident and finding my real mother. Then getting to meet her and my little sister Izzy. Speaking of Izzy here she comes running into the room and tripping on her long dress.

"Oh! Izzy are you okay?" I ask running over to the small girl.

"Yep!" Izzy answers jumping up and dusting herself off.

"Good." I chuckle, turning to look at myself one last time in the mirror.

"You look gorgeous." Jade says startling me and Izzy.

"Why thank you." I say, walking over to Jade and giving her a peck on the lips.

"Jadey what 'bout me?" Izzy asks twirling around in front of us. Izzy is the only one, other that Cat, that can call Jade, Jadey and get away with it.

"You look very pretty." Jade chuckles, smiling at me and wrapping her arms around my waist from behind. "Now are you two ready to go?"

"YES!" Izzy screams with excitement jumping up and down, before running out of the room and down stairs. Both Jade and I chuckle at her cuteness.

"How about you?" Jade asks in my ear softly.

"Honestly," I say turning in her arms to face her. "I'm a little nervous." I finish, blushing and bowing my head.

"And why is that?" Jade asks as she lightly grabs my chin and raises it so I'm looking into her stunningly beautiful eyes.

"I've never done anything like this. What if I trip and fall?" I ask.

"Then people will laugh and then they will have me to deal with." Jade says, our foreheads together. I can't help but smile.

"That isn't helping." I smile.

"You'll do fine." Jade chuckles.

"But how do you know?" I ask.

"Because I love you." Jade says before closing the space and kissing me.

"You guys are so gross and Jade you are so whipped." I hear, making Jade and I jump apart.

"Tori! What the hell?" I ask.

"Cole sent me to see what was taking so long and when I saw Izzy running around outside I thought I better... investigate." Tori says smirking.

"Whatever Vega. You just wanted to see me and Evan going at it." Jade glares.

"JADE!" I yell, smacking her hard on the arm.

"What?" Jade asks smirking. She walks out of the room bumping into Tori, probably on purpose, on the way out.

"I will never understand what I saw in her." I hear Tori say to herself.

"What?" I ask stunned. "You liked Jade?"

"At one time yes, yes I did." Tori says. "But I saw the error of my ways and we are now with someone better."

"I like Cat too." I say patting her shoulder and leaving my room.

Yep that's right, Tori and Cat are together. When I got out of the hospital I kept my promise and went on a date with Cat, with Jade supervising of course. Though I didn't find that out till later. 'Man I love that woman.' After the date Cat confessed that she only asked me out to make Tori jealous and she really did like me but knew that Jade liked me more. When I asked her how she knew she said 'Every time Jade looks at you, you can see all the love in her eyes. I noticed it the very first time she looked at you after you said to 'take a picture cause it lasts longer.' it was all there, every time, every moment, every glance, it was there.'. I didn't know I could cry so much before. Of course Jade thought Cat had said something mean and was gonna chew her out, until I wrapped my arms around her neck and kissed her. You should have seen the look on Jade's face when I pulled back. It was one of confusion and love. And I could see it all in her eyes, just like Cat had said, it was all there.

Later

"Hey there you are." I hear Jade say.

I was sitting up on the roof. The party was over, my parents left for their honeymoon, Izzy was staying with David and Holly, and I needed some air.

"Yep. Here I am." I answer not turning around.

"What's wrong?" Jade asks sitting down next to me.

"Nothing... just... thinking." I say leaning and resting my head on Jade's shoulder.

"Bout what?" Jade asks putting her one arm around me pulling me in closer.

"Bout what my life will be like now." I answer snuggling into Jade more.

"What do you mean?"

"Well now I have two parents again and a little sister, then there's school, and Lillian Grace Pizza, and... and some other things."

"Okay, for your parents I think they are just so happy that you don't hate their guts that it won't be a problem. Izzy, well you love her to death and you know it. Lets see school, you are a straight A student who is gonna graduate this year, so I wouldn't worry about that. As for LG Pizza, you are probably smarter than most of the people who work there and you will have people to help you, me included." Jade says kissing the top of my head. "Anything else bothering you?"

"Well yes... but... but it's nothing." I say quickly.

"Babe what is it?" Jade says so sweetly I could melt.

"It's... it's... you." I say regretting it immediately.

"What about me?" Jade asks pulling back.

"Well I wanted to wait but... I... I... oh here." I say shoving a small black box into her hands.

"What is this?" Jade asks looking the box over.

I take it back out of her hands and open it. Jade's eyes go wide when she sees a small diamond ring in it. I take the ring out and look Jade in the eyes. In there I can see everything.

"Jadelyn Elizabeth West, I know we are a little to young to get married, but I don't want anyone else. You're crazy, and weird, and sometimes mean and cranky, but I don't care. I love you. And I was hoping that one day we could get married... So... so what do you say?"

"I... I... I was supposed to be the one to ask you if you wanted to marry me." Jade says, confusing me.

"W-what?" I ask.

Jade stands and pulls out a small velvet box, opening it and taking out a small ring.

"See?" Jade says grinning.

"Hahaha. That's the best marriage proposal ever." I say standing and taking Jade's ring and giving her mine.

We each look over our rings. Mine has a small Jade stone in the center surrounded by small black stones. Her's was a small diamond cut into the shape of a pair of scissors. I had to special order it of course.

"It's... it's gorgeous." We say at the same time.

"Where... where did you ever find this?" Jade asks, tears starting to fall.

"I had to order it." I say. "Where did you get mine?"

"It belonged to my grandmother. When she died she left it to me."

"I love you so much." I say walking over to Jade. The moon lighting up her eye's making them look like their glowing.

"I love you just as much." Jade says before leaning down and kiss me.

'I can't believe it.' I think smiling. 'I'm gonna marry Jade.'
