Mikan
"Isn't this great? Spending time all together, friends, boyfriend. What a date?" I laughed nervously, breaking the silence occurring between the glaring boys. It wasn't easy having Natsume on my right, Jose on my left, and I'm in the middle feeling like I'm being cornered between two bodyguards. Sometimes I feel they treat me like I'm some prize.
Imagine being surrounded by two guys who has the same feelings towards you but one's your crush and the other is someone you barely even know. Not the best situation to be in.
"Lovely indeed Mikan-chan, if I can see your face all day." Jose flirted titling my chin upwards facing him. His violet orbs piercing through my hazel eyes, in fact they were beautiful indeed. His eyes reminded me of the jewel Amethyst, while Natsume eyes burns with the color ruby.
Natsume had a tck mark, slapping Jose's hand away from my chin pulling me closer to his body. His chin rested on my head, his arm wrapped around my waist and his ruby eyes burning glares at Jose. I couldn't help but feel safe in his arms.
"Touch her again if you want your hand into ashes." Natsume threaten bringing out his fire on his palm meaning every word of it. It was cute to see Natsume like this, protective and cute in the same time.
Hotaru and Ruka sensed behind them a dark aura between Natsume and Jose, deciding to find out what's happening.
"Go ahead, I dare you." Jose glared, his eyes cold as ice, returning the same glare of Natsume.
"Your funeral." Natsume commented throwing fire balls after fire balls at Jose, meaning to kill him. Jose smirked at the fire balls, jumping and throwing water at each of it, turning it into steam.
My eyes widen. "A water alice?"
"Nice try fire boy." Jose stuck his tongue out, enjoying the pissed off look of Natsume. Natsume clenched his fist, surrounding fire around Jose's legs trying one more time but it was useless. One more time Jose turned the fire into steam by his water Alice. "If you can't even defeat me, how would you protect Mikan-chan."
"I don't need my fire to kick your ass, protect the one I love, or burn into hell. I'll use my body to answer those questions." Natsume quoted, while I tugged his sleeve, flashing him innocent eyes.
"Lets stop fighting...can you see we are attracting to much attention?" I asked him, wanted to prevent the teachers from seeing this outside of the campus. Natsume bit his lip, placing the fire away with Jose smirking.
"Sorry Fire boy, being told off by a girl," He laughed while Natsume rolled his eyes, burning Jose's hands in the process. "Ow." Jose pouted pulling his hand away, rubbing the burn spot on his smooth skin glaring at Natsume.
I sighed. "Guys...let's stop please."
"Yes Natsume, lets go ahead of the rest. No need to sweat over her." Luna interrupted clinging on Natsume's arm, pulling him away from me while I roll my eyes. I forgot she was still there, that explains the glares I felt burning on my back.
Natsume looked annoy for a second, and looked back at me who was walking ahead with Hotaru and Ruka. I sighed "Yep...this is the perfect date I dreamt of."
"Oi Polka dots." Natsume voice was heard behind me, pushing Luna out of his arm, following after me. I speeded up my movement ignoring him, I'm done being the one used as a prize. "Oi! Wait up!"
Hotaru smirked "Seems like Baka can play hard to get."
"Hotaru." Ruka sweat drop.
"Hey stop bothering Mikan-chan!" Jose yelled running behind me and blocking Natsume's way. Now I have a French freak annoying me.
I stopped my track looking back at them. "You guys go on your little date, I'm going home."
"What's your problem?" Natsume asked with a eyebrow raised, making my hands clenched into a fist. My bangs covering my eyes.
"Can you see Luna is waiting for you?"
"What about me Mikan chan?"
"I don't give a damn what happens to you." I rolled my eyes, while Hotaru snorted at the shock look of the boys. Luna smirked holding Natsume's arm closer to her chest.
"We will." She smirked towards me, trying to prove to me that he is hers. No one else.
"Congrats." I rolled my eyes walking ahead towards the bench with Natsume gawking at my back. I don't care anymore to be honest, How did having a simple date go wrong? Yes it was suppose to be a triple date, yet I felt like that date was more like a battlefield for a prize.
Not that I mind, and maybe I did overreact on them, it just gets me angry from all the attention gained. The whispers around us, the looks, I'm still not used to it. The worst part was this 'date' was my first and I was really looking forward to it even if Jose was there.
I sighed heavily hugging my knees, should I go back to them?
"Oi, when are you going to stop pouting, and go on a date with me." A voice was heard behind me when I felt arms hugged around my neck softly, so warm and comforted. I looked over my shoulders and it was no other then Natsume who had his emotionless look on his face.
My eyes narrowed. "Why not take Luna?"
"I made her go with Jose." He shrugged thinking I'm buying it. Everyone knows that Luna and Jose can't even spent a minute in a date without killing themselves. "Forced.." He added knowing the look of doubt on my face.
I smiled a bit "Fine where to?"
"Anywhere."
"Useful."
"Thanks."
"Not a compliment." I playfully rolled my eyes, placing my finger on my chin tilted my head cutely. "Oh! I always wanted to try out the new snacks...um..howlon..no..um...am I close?" I asked Natsume laughing nervously.
Natsume blinked "You mean Howalon right?"
"Yes those puffy things!" I giggled while Natsume sighed, letting go of my neck and placing his hands into his pocket with a tint of blush.
"Lets go then." He muttered while I jumped and threw a fist in the air.
"Yes! Hotaru told me they were good but she never let me tried them! Can't you believe that?! She said it's to expensive for a baka like me." I pouted whining next to the yawning Natsume.
"I can believe it." He said knowing Hotaru real well of her greedy ways. I smiled at him, having a really good time talking to him. Yes, maybe this date is going to be short, but its the best part I had all day. Just being beside Natsume, smiling with him, and trying out the new snack, this is the best date a girl can ask for (You are right Mikan XD).
"Here." Natsume handed me the Howalon, leaning his chin on his arm, watching me happily devour one by one, savoring the sweet and fluffy taste of them. My face held a huge smile on it, eating the last one. I rubbed my stomach. "Delicious!"
"Hmmm..."
"Thank you Natsume!" I smiled giving him a hug confusing him. I don't know but I always used to eat the leftover snacks or sneak some in my room but having a snack that was actually brought to me made me feel like Im being loved. That someone cares. Its hard to say but, one thing that's straight is, I'm happy I got to meet Natsume.
Natsume blinked and smiled a bit, returning my hug, over his shoulders I saw Hotaru and Ruka kissing with Jose and Luna looking away from each other pissed at the scene. Probably that scene was meant for one of us, Jose and I, and Luna and Natsume. Too bad that we had our small date.
"Natsume...you saw it didn't you." I asked him about Hotaru and Ruka who was hitting it off.
"Shhhh...don't ruin the moment."
Hey guys! I hoped you like the update and sorry if the date was short,. But I think its cute to know how Natsume pushed Luna away to spent time with Mikan. Even if it was for a short amount of time. My favorite part was Hotaru and Ruka making out. xD I ship it so hard! XD Wish I can taste how Howalon tastes like. I think it tastes like cotton candy (; ^ ;)
