Lucy's point of view:
"He can't be" I whisper beneath my breath.
"YES HE IS! He still prefers you to me." she pouts.
"I left him to you, I never led him on, and I know he doesn't feel for me like that because when you came it was all about you. Ever since you got back here he's been drooling over you. He even asked me how he should confess to you and where. He bombarded me with questions to impress you, but what do I get when I try to help? A KICK IN MY FUCKING ASS, BITCH! I didn't try to get closer to him, if he fell for me it wasn't my fault. I became as distant I possibly could." I face her.
"That's bullshit! I saw the two of you. It was all over his face, when he spoke to you, when you helped him with what he needed. He melted by the look of your eyes. He became light whenever he was with you. When he is with me all he does is drink and does absolutely nothing." she crouches down in front of me.
"Well, how could that possibly be my fault? I did what I could. I moved on. I fell in love with Rogue and we became mates. We were going to make it official at the guild in a few days." I turn to look the other way.
The dark room illuminated by a small candles that surround Rogue's body that lays ever so still on the cold slab of limestone. His chest rising and falling, that was the only proof that he was still alive. Looking up and down his body, his pallor skin has a dark almost grey mist surround him. A sudden twitch of his hand, my eyes grow wide. She pivots on her heel to look at him. He was once again unmoving.
"Well, I'm off. When I come back Fairy Tail will no longer remember you or Rouge. Heck, no one on this continent will remember you once I'm done." she chuckles and that chuckle becomes an evil laughter.
She walks up the small spiral staircase to the left side of the wall. As soon as she's gone so are the flames that were lit on the candles. Tears that were pinching my eyes find release and shed, making a wet trail down my cheeks. I whimper and sob until I can no longer make a sound. I was accompanied by Rogue but with his situation I feel more alone now than ever. I lift my head and let my eyes adjust to the dark, it took a few seconds and then I see a small jerking movement coming from Rogue. I squint trying to see better, but it doesn't work. His chest rises high, and then a smack sound echoes in the room. That's when I realize that he's trying to get out of the trance she put him in.
"Come one, Rouge." I urge him on.
"Come to me baby." Calling to him loudly. Grunts fill the room. My restraints rustle against the cobble stone floor.
"Baby, come back to me, please." He spasms hard and he's close to waking up.
"I miss you so much, sweetheart." I sob.
"Baby please, I have news for you." I smile a bit. His body jerks and he shakes his head side to side.
"Come back, I need you, actually WE need you." my voice becoming hoarse.
His body becomes still after a while, his head is turned to my direction. I hang my head down, this was just a futile attempt, a stupid sense of hope that he would come back to me unharmed, unscathed, and completely normal. His breathing becomes louder. I crawl back and lean against the cold wall. More tears stream down. My chest tightens and breathing becomes a pain.
"What happened to me?" his husky voice like music to my ears. I lift my head and smile. He is okay, he really is okay.
"Lucy!" he looks around and then spots me. His eyes seem to glow in the dark, a vibrant red. "Where are we?" he hops off the slab and crouches down in front of me.
I feel the tears come down harder. "I missed you so much. You can't even begin to fathom." my shackles jingle as I try to wipe my tears.
He cups my cheek with his hand and kisses the type of my nose.
"Lucy, it was horrible, she had me thinking you had died. She had me thinking that she had cut you up into small pieces. It was awful. I swear I will do my best to protect you. Even though I failed this time, I will protect what's dear to me." determination in his voice, almost threatening.
"It was worse when she was cutting your skin so deeply, you bled alot. I wanted to help you, but she took away my abilities with the chains, all my spells were nullified." I whimper. I try to move closer to him but, I can't. He looks down to see the chains I mention.
"Who chained you?" he speaks through his teeth with anger in his tone.
"It's her. I was so scared. From what I can tell it's been a few days maybe more." my voice fades.
He takes my hand into his and examines the chain. Summoning a small amount of power he directs the shot to the chain and it comes undone, the iron that held me down no longer hold me captive. Doing the same with the other restraints He then lifts me up and holds me close. Trying to choke back some more tears after such a reunion with my mate isn't easy. I just wanted to go back home, but things aren't that easy. It never is.
