Hope you enjoy it and please review again. This was to be a short story but I loved it and kept adding to it, and more to come too

This mainly all about Brian too, as I really liked Cassidy he was rough but his love for Olivia was evident and how much he cared about her, so I had to write a chapter about Brian, so if your not a fan of his then you probably won't like this chapter.

OOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooo

Watching as they wheel Olivia out his eyes wide open in fear he couldn't even think of losing her, he had never loved anyone as much as he loved her. It had taken them 13 years to get together and another 2 or more for him to propose and nearly lose her.

"Sir we need you to stay here" his voice was sharp and loud

His eyes not moving from hers his voice full of worry "what's happening, what's going on here"

Feeling their hands on his shoulder moving him away "she needs to get to theatre now, we need to stop the bleeding. We need you to sign these forms so we can operate. We'll let you know as soon as she is out of surgery"

Running his hands through his hair this can not be happening not to Olivia she had just gotten what she wanted.

Blinking back the tears he had hardly ever cried not now he was a stronger harder person but Olivia had broken down some of his barriers.

Closing his eyes he could remember the moment he realised how much he wanted her and couldn't imagine her in his life about 14 months ago when he thought he could lose her then, when Lewis kidnapped her, the thoughts and images that went through his mind, what he was doing to her, it was then he knew that it was more than a hook up and fling that despite the odds he wanted to be with her and a few months later he had done what he never thought he would do, move in with her share his life with her it was hard at first both of them used to their independence but he got used to it and enjoyed it. He enjoyed having someone to come home to, someone to lie next to and someone to talk and share things with.

The toll of Lewis and her job nearly took its toll on their relationship, her not opening up even now he had no idea what he put her through, a few scars remaining but she didn't want to talk about it, or open up. They had sorted things out and he had told her "I love you" he had wanted to say those three words for so long and he finally did.

He couldn't lose her now not when she/they had everything to look forward to being new parents and getting married, he Brian Cassidy was marrying the woman of his dreams the one he had wanted so long ago, the one that no one else ever measured up to, sure he had flings and many of them, and thought he would never settle down but Olivia would always be the only one who could make him settle down.

The feeling of helplessness, not being able to help her knowing too late something was wrong.

Banging the wall he should of picked up on something earlier, when she was feeling clammy and weak, he should of insisted on her being checked thoroughly, he should of done more, if anything happened to her it was his fault. Why didn't he listen to her fears, instead of reassuring her everything was going to be okay because it wasn't ok, he didn't know what he would do without her.

Pacing the corridors he couldn't sit he couldn't do anything feeling a hand on his shoulders the voice soft "Mr Cassidy I can take you to your daughters, they would love to see their father"

Nodding mindlessly following the nurse numbly "you can stay here as long as you like, Olivia is in the best hands"

Putting his hands in the crib, a smile forming as a hand curls around his fingers "hello sweetheart you're both what your mother ever wanted. All she ever wanted was to be a mother, and now her dream has finally come true"

Tears forming in his eyes as they start running down his face unable to control them "she just has to pull through this to watch you both grow up, to see your first smile, your first step, your first day at school, getting married, we might need to talk about that one, not sure about you both dating. You both are so perfect just like her. You have her cute little nose"

Watching as her eyes open looking up at him "my princess"

"would you like to hold them?"

Nodding at the nurse, he was scared that he could hurt them or hold them incorrectly

Her voice reassuring "you'll be fine Mr Cassidy'

Looking down at the pink bundle in his arms, her small hand clenched in a fist under her chin "she's so tiny"

His finger gently moving across her forehead a gentle kiss on her head "I never thought I could love something so much as both of you. Your mother she is a natural at this, me you will need to forgive whilst I learn all of this. You have the most wonderful mother you could ever wish for or imagine, she is the most considerate, caring, loving and amazing person. She even gave us a second chance well me all these years later. I will tell you how we met again when you are older, well part of it kind of hope you're not like your mother in one way cause if any boy is like me they are definitely not coming near either of you. I was a bit hesitant going out with her again but there was something about her that no other person came close to but we took it slowly. She has me wrapped around her little finger just like I'm sure you will"

Looking down at her eyes, smiling as she looks up at him "you're probably wondering who this weird person is babbling to you hey"

His hand carefully moving over her, feeling her little hand closing around his finger, how could he have become so lucky to find such a wonderful person as Olivia and to have these two precious babies.

His mind going back to past "we never really defined our relationship until something awful happened to her, if anyone ever did that to you I would kill them, but she is the strongest person I know and she got through it all. It made me realise how much I wanted her and loved her. I nearly stuffed that up to think I wasn't sure about having a family and now looking at you I couldn't imagine anything else. She will be fiercely protective of both of you. Soon she will be holding you both again"

Feeling the tears forming in his eyes and they start to fall down his face "she has been through so much the past eighteen months and now this. I don't know what I would do without her, how I would manage or go on"

Wiping his eyes and face putting on the brave face "I have the perfect name for you, but I better speak to you mother first to see if she agrees, one name each was the deal we have. She is so hard to say no to and good at getting what she wants, all she has to do is look at me with those big brown eyes of hers and she knows it, bet you two will be the same, three girls to gang up on me"

Kissing the tip of her tiny nose, as he gently lies it back in the humidicrib just looking at his daughter so tiny and fragile something he and Olivia created together.

Turning to the nurse "any news yet?"

Shaking her head "I'll see what I can find out for you"

Turning away from Brian she couldn't help but listen to him talking the love he had for his girlfriend, the bond they shared. She couldn't help but stare at him, his rugged good looks but how gentle he was with his daughters but the thing that had moved her nearly to tears was the way he talked about his girlfriend and seeing the tears on his face. Listening to him she realised where she had seen them before on television, him in the background but Olivia she was the person who was kidnapped by some guy. His eyes moving back to him, how she wished she would find someone like him he seemed so perfect.

Holding his other daughter in his arms rocking her looking down at her peacefully sleeping face slightly screwed up "if only your mum could see you now, she really is one amazing woman, one I can't wait to marry I would marry her straight away but she wanted to wait until you are born, my little angels. How could I create something so amazing and perfect as you two. You will need to forgive me as I really have no idea what I am doing"
his mind going back to thirteen years ago "the first time I saw your mother I wanted her I wanted a relationship with her, I think I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. No one in all those 13 years lived up to her, I never wanted to settle down, didn't really want kids then I met her again when I was UC, it was casual at first trying to define what we had, there has only ever been one person I have ever wanted and that was her. Now if either of you ever tell her this conversation, I will have to deny it can't let her know all of this, so it is just between the three of us deal"

He couldn't keep his eyes off his daughter looking at every feature on her, the tuff of brown hair on top of her head, her little hands curled up in fists, one under her chin the other on her chest. The way she screwed up her face. His fingers gently going over her forehead his lips gently kissing the top of her head as his fingers move gently around her, feeling her small fist clasping one of his fingers.

His eyes moving between both of them, here were two little beings that were so dependant on them for everything, to feed them, cloth them and change them, to love and make sure had everything they needed for a long time, it was a commitment at one stage he wasn't sure he was ready for, but now he couldn't wait to get them home and start a wonderful life with them.

"Mr Cassidy, your girlfriend is still in surgery, your daughters are due for a feed, as their mother is in surgery, we will need to supplement their feed with a bottle, would you like to feed them"

"I don't know how, what if I do it wrong, do something wrong to hurt them"

The voice just as reassuring again "you'll be fine, we will show you and be with you. Being a parent for the first time is scary but you won't hurt them, I'm sure you'll do just fine. I can even show you how to change their nappies too"

Smiling down at his daughter "this is one thing I could do without"

It was bitter sweet having his daughters in his arm feeding them the bottle, the first time was something he had always imagined they would do together both of them, watching as they would suckle on Liv whilst he would hold the other, but here he was doing it all by himself. In a way he was semi proud that he was able to hold and give them their bottle, he could stare at them for hours on end, watching as their tiny hand would reach out and their lips would move around the bottle.

Walking out of the nursery it was hard saying goodbye whilst they had their sleep it had kept his mind occupied now he was back to pacing around

"Cassidy"

Looking up seeing Nick, Amanda, Fin "hey guys, what are you doing here Munchie Munch"

"Olivia sleeping?"

Shaking his head "um no, she's being operated on" his hand rubbing his forehead "they had to race her to the operating theatre she started haemorrhaging"

Putting his hand over his face running them down "I'm still waiting to hear"

The question left hanging over them they all wanted to know but scared to ask, he needed to know Olivia was his partner "the babies, what about them"

His voice proud "we have two girls, they are both doing fine so far, they have no idea their mother is fighting for her life"

A strong firm voice "Mr Cassidy"

Looking up he was trying to read the doctors face the operation was now over, that was a good thing they got her in time didn't they

The worry in his voice "Where's Olivia, how did the operation go"

Ushering him over to the seat "when can I see her?" trying to keep the panic out of his voice

The doctors voice was slightly sympathetic but firm "There were some complications by the time we got her to the operating theatre. I'm sorry Mr Cassidy …."

Sorry for the cliff hanger ending but I really couldn't help myself, and I kind of wanted this to be about Brian and how he feels about it all and seeing his daughter and talking to them about how he feels about Olivia.

I will try to update the next chapter quickly for you too if not tomorrow though it would be Tuesday
