Renesmee is sitting in a small side cafe down an ally in town waiting for her mother to arrive so they can discuss everything and hopefully begin to build bridges. She had hoped jacob was going to be with her today but something with the pack came up again and he had to bail. Lately renesmee's anxiety had skyrocketed, every time someone knocked on their door, called his cellphone or when he had to go out and do pack things she was worried it was something to do with Kaliem and the other pack, she isn't going to lie about the fact she'd cried when she was alone. The simply thought of jacob dying or being hurt makes her feel like her heart is being ripped out and with the baby so close she really couldn't risk loosing him.

The bell rang at the door and signalled someone had just walked, lifting her eyes from her cup of tea she saw her mother, grinning from ear to ear as she made her way over to renesmee's table. Renesmee offered her a small smile as she sat down opposite her.

"I ur...got you coffee, black, two sugars"

"You remembered" Bella smiled warmly at her daughter.

"Of course I did" renesmee said with a small shrug.

"No jacob?" Bella asked her eyes scanning the shop.

"No" renesmee says slightly cold "he's got business to attend too"

"Business? Jacob black doing business" Bella says with a chuckle. Renesmee simply nods.

"I find that very hard to believe, the jacob black I know would say he had stuff to do and end up goofing off, more than likely end up getting drunk down at the beach" renesmee frowns.

"Well he wouldn't lie to me, he's dealing with things with the pack"

"You say that now renesmee but I wouldn't be surprised if you got home to find him half cut on with a couple guys shouting the odds" renesmee clenches her jaw and looks up to meet her mothers eyes.

"Let's get one thing straight right now, mother. You do not know jacob like I know him, he's not the jacob you remember he's changed and he's mine. I know jacob better than anyone so don't pretend like you know everything about that man because you don't! So if your going to keep on like this 'the Jacob black i remember' then I'll get up and walk out of here right now... The choice is yours" Bella stares at her daughter in shock but doesn't say anything. Renesmee signs and goes to stand up but Bella catches her wrist.

"Don't please. I'm sorry renesmee, your right you know Jacob so much better than I do or I ever will I was just getting lost in old times please don't leave" renesmee nods and sits back down.

"Fine. Just remember"

"Of course" Bella says nodding "so, please tell me about your pregnancy" renesmee finally gives her mother a real smile and caresses her belly.

"Well it was pretty rough in the beginning, and it was a shock believe me"

"Didn't you think about contraception?" Renesmee chocks on her tea and coughs a little.

"Wow... Um yes we did, I'd actually just visited the doctor and been prescribed the pill but turns out I was already pregnant when they prescribed it. It was very early days, far too early for any pregnancy test too pick up on. Jacob smelled my scent change and that was how I found out"

"Wow, so if you'd gone on the pill a few days earlier, you wouldn't be pregnant right now?"

"No Proberaly not but I wouldn't change it for a thing" Bella nods, with a small smile.

"Here I have this for you...if you want it" reaching in her bag, renesmee pulls out a most recent scan photo and hands it to Bella. Bellas hand flies over her mouth as tears well up in her eyes.

"Of sweetheart this is beautiful, I can't believe it. My baby's having a baby" renesmee smiles shyly.

"Is a boy or a girls?" Giggling a little renesmee answers her mother.

"We don't know. It's kind of game between myself and jacob, we have the sex of the baby in an envelope in our house. We're just waiting to see who cracks first" Bella laughs a little.

"Sounds interesting"

"Oh it is"

"So tell me about your wedding"

"It was beautiful, I'll never forget that day... I have photographs" reaching down for the envelope in her bag she hands it to her mom as they start going through the photos.

The first one is of renesmee getting ready for the wedding, the next is Renesmee walking to meet jacob, then renesmee and jacob together, them kissing, handing over the rings, the photo in their living room, them dancing, renesmee, jacob, Brodie and Rebecka all together and finally one from the next day, renesmee and jacob laying in bed together, grinning at the camera you can only see the tops of their chests but it's clear there both naked in the rest of the picture, renesmee blushes and grabs the photo back.

"Didn't know that one was in their" she mumbles going bright red. Bella smirks and shakes her head.

" I can see how happy you too are" renesmee nods.

"We are" Renesemee smiles to herself but it fades fast "so...dad" Bella frowns.

"It's not good renesmee"

Tell me" renesmee encourages.

"After I got off the phone to you, maybe an hour or two later, he came home...drunk, very drunk! We fought, I told him that you were his daughter and you were carrying his grandchild but he wouldn't have any of it, he said and I quote 'it's not her child, it's his. He's done this to spite Me Bella, I know it! He couldn't have you so he chose the next best thing! My daughter and now he's knocked her up'" renesemee gasps with tears welling up in her eyes "just know renesmee, I kicked him out. I won't stand around and listen to him say that about you and that precious baby. He's living with your grandma Esme and grandpa Carlisle"

"Are you breaking up?" renesmee asks her voice laced with fear.

"Honestly renesmee, I don't know. Me and your father need to have a long discussion and we will, when he learns to grow up but until then he can continue to live in your grandparents spare bedroom"

"What about Ryan? What's he saying?"

"Not much, he's glad we're meeting today. I know he's known you've been pregnant for a while and I'm hurt he didn't tell me but I also respect the fact you both trust each other and can keep one another's secrets, I always wanted you both to be close"

"We are Mom" Bella smiles.

"I'm glad" suddenly renesmees phone chimes in her bag and she reaches down for it. It's rebecka.

~ness there's some shit going down here, jacobs about to blow. Come home ASAP~ renesmee closed her phone and put the phones back in her bag.

"Mom were going to have to end this meeting a little sooner than I'd planned, I'm sorry but something's happened at home"

"Nothing bad I hope"

"Oh no, apparently jacobs going to blow a fuse and he won't calm down"

"Oh dear, well okay sweetheart, I'll call you one night this week. Perhaps you and jacob would come round for dinner"

"Yes...maybe" renesmee is slightly apprehensive, her mother and jacob in the same room...Mmm she's not sure. The pair leave the coffee shop and renesmee turns to her mother.

"My cars that way so I'll say goodbye here" the pair hug and Bella places one hand on renesmees belly.

"Thank you for seeing me baby, i appreciate it more than you will never know. I can't wait to meet this little one either"

"Your welcome mom and me either" they hug once more and part ways. Renesmee hurries home with fear of what is about to hit her when she arrives back.
