Chapter 21. Get those Dragon balls!
After Elder Kai and the Supreme Kai discovered where Frieza had escaped to, they quickly swallowed their disbelief, and brought forth King Kai!
"Elder Kai, why have you called me here?" King Kai asked.
"Ummm, well it seems we found out why you've been feeling funny lately." Elder Kai responded.
"There is something you need to see." Supreme Kai said. "Put your hand on elder's head, and you will see what we saw."
"Look everyone, I know that I've been sensing something, but maybe its something entirely different than what I thought originally. I didn't mean to start a huge fuss over this."
"King Kai, trust me when I say that you were not wrong about anything. Kai's have the strongest 6th sense in the universe, and we found exactly what you were worried about!" Elder Kai said.
"Alright fine." King Kai said. He then did as he was told to, and closed his eyes and focused.
King Kai then saw an earth like planet with an unusual solar system. This dimension's laws of physics were different then dimension he himself lived in. As he focused more onto the planet, he saw quadruple legged animals that were very much like humans in terms of speech, behavior, and their civilization. He was utterly confused on what he was supposed to be seeing.
"What am I looking at?" King Kai asked. "I just see a world populated by animals! Primarily horses!"
"Look closer my friend." Elder Kai said. "You should see him any minute now."
"Him?" King Kai said i confusion. "Alright I'll keep looking."
"King Kai went back to focusing, and this time, he saw a big white pony with a sun symbol on its body, looking high into the sky as another creature was landing onto their world.
"What's this? Does their planet welcome visitors?" King Kai asked.
"Keep looking." Supreme Kai said.
King Kai continued to watch. Within seconds of realizing who that bipedal creature was...
"AHHHHHHHH! OH MY GOODNESS! IT'S JUST AS I FEARED! IT REALLY IS HIM! FRIEZA IS STILL ALIVE!"
King Kai was so shaken by the surprise, that he fell to the ground!
"I KNEW IT! I HAD A FEELING THAT FRIEZA COULDN'T BE DESTROYED THAT EASILY! NOT EVEN BY A BLACK HOLE!"
"Oh I tell ya, I feel incredibly sorry for those poor creatures! They have very little to no resistance against a foe like Frieza. We all know what hes going to do as well. He's going to once again start an intergalactic empire, starting with their world!" Elder Kai said.
"WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO?!" King Kai yelled. "WE CAN'T JUST LET HIM TAKE OVER THEIR PLANET! IT'S OUR FAULT THAT WE UNDERESTIMATED FRIEZA'S PERSISTENCE! ITS OUR FAULT THAT HE'S IN THEIR UNIVERSE!"
"King Kai, according to what one of the beings on their planet said, they refer to their world as 'Equestria', but the issue is that this world isn't within our 12 universes. It's still rather close to our 12, but it's still outside our dimension. I would love to save these creatures to, but none of us are capable of going outside this dimension without some type of help!"
Suddenly, Goku appeared right on the planet of the Kais with instant transmission!"
"Sorry I'm late King Kai." Goku said. "Did I miss anything? Is it exciting! Another adventure! Ohhh boy!"
"Well yes Goku, it is another adventure, as soon as we can find a way how to get to another dimension." Supreme Kai said.
"Why is that?" Goku asked. "What's going on?"
"Take a look and see for yourself Goku." King Kai said. "Put your hand on Elder Kai's head."
"Ok!" Goku said in his usual innocent like manner.
Within seconds, Goku saw a world that appeared like Earth and thought not much of it at first, but as the view scrolled lower and lower, he noticed that a battle was taking place between a white -purple bipedal creature with a tail against what appeared to be a big white flying horse! (Chapter 3!)
Goku gasped from the sight!
"How did Frieza end up over there!?" Goku asked. "He should have been crushed by the black hole's gravity! I sensed his life force disappear! This doesn't make any sense!"
"The reason why you felt his life force disappear is because he doesn't EXIST in our dimension anymore." Elder Kai said. "That black hole removed him from our dimension, and put him completely somewhere else!"
Goku listened, but also continued watching the events play out in Equestria. The fight between the winged large horse and Frieza didn't last long, as Frieza knocked out the animal with a blow to the neck! (Chapter 4!)
"That... That MONSTER!" Goku yelled. "He intends to start over what he lost! It's going to be a repeat of what he had back on this dimension! Control over the universe!"
"We gotta find a way to stop him before he causes anymore damage to their world!" King Kai said. "The issue is GETTING to Equestria, which isn't in our ability to do so."
"Hmmm", Goku thought. "I know! I'll just use instant transmission to get there!"
All of the Kai's shook their heads no.
"If it were that easy, we would have told you to do it by now, and this wouldn't be so complicated." Supreme Kai said. "I have instantaneous movement which is superior to instant transmission, and not even THAT would make a difference."
"Why not?" Asked Goku.
"Because Frieza is in a dimension OUTSIDE of ours. Instant transmission and instantaneous movement is NOT the same as dimensional travel. It's very complicated, but to make it simple, it's not judged by distance."
Goku continued to watch the events that took place, and within minutes, a large dark flying horse also was going toe to toe with Frieza!
"Oh man, I can't detect how powerful these creatures on this planet are, but I know for a fact that they have NO CHANCE in a fight against Frieza! That horse is helpless!" Goku said loudly. Not too long later, the dark horse was also knocked out cold! (Chapter 4!)
"It hasn't been 10 minutes and he's already causing trouble!" Goku said. "Oh I wish I could go there and stop him from hurting anyone else!"
"Wait.. wishing... OF COURSE!" King Kai yelled out in excitement! "THE DRAGON BALLS! All you need to do is gather them and ask Shenron to take you there!"
"Hey you're right! I can gather the dragon balls and ask Shenron to teleport me to..., uhh what's this world called again?"
"Equestria." Elder Kai said. "At least going by what a few of the creatures addressed their world as. The dragon likely does have the capacity to go there, but even he will need time to do the wish!"
"What makes you say that?" Goku asked Elder Kai.
"The dragon like me has an all seeing eye ability, but he doesn't know Equestria right off the bat. He just like me will have to search for it, and who knows how long that can take! It's like searching throughout infinity! The very fact that I was able to find this world, is nothing short of a miracle."
"Well it's the only option we have! We can't just stand by and allow Frieza to do this again! He's destroyed and enslaved countless amounts of lives when he existed in our dimension, and I won't allow more lives to have to suffer just like everyone else he's killed! Even if this takes longer than it should, we're going to stop Frieza!" Said Goku. "But I do kinda feel bad about it at the same time."
"About gathering the dragon balls?" Supreme Kai said in confusion. "Why? They are the key to getting to this dimension and stopping that monster! Why feel bad?"
"Because Trunks and Goten are competing with each other on who finds the dragon balls first to make whatever wish they want. As we speak, those two are still looking for them. I just don't think it's fair having to take away their little adventure." Goku responded.
"Goku I know that this doesn't seem fair, but lets face it, they're children." Elder Kai said. "They would likely use the dragon for a wish with not much value to it. I know for a fact that Goten would use the dragon's great power for a bunch of materialistic objects with not much value to them! Trunks isn't too much different!"
"I know, but they have an opportunity to..." Goku was cut off from this sentence.
"Look Goku, I know you believe in fairness, but if you allow Goten and Trunks to find the dragon balls and waste it on some silly wish, we will have to wait a year before we can use them again, and by that time, the world that Frieza is currently in will either be conquered on destroyed by then!" Supreme Kai said.
"What's more important Goku?" King Kai asked. "Ridding that world of Frieza and saving the inhabitants there, or being fair to children who are too simple minded and immature to even be looking for the dragon balls in the first place?"
"Hey! That wasn't very nice!" Goku said.
"Well Goku, he's right." Elder Kai said. "ADULT humans throughout Earth's history have tried obtaining the dragon balls for their own selfish desires! Goten and Trunks are doing nothing different!"
Goku sighed and put on a sad face.
"It's for the greater good Goku." Supreme Kai said. "Why use the dragon balls for materialistic desires, when one can use it for good? Like saving a world?"
"I understand." Goku said. "This reminds me many years ago, when General Tao had collected the dragon balls, and I was also on the hunt for them. Luckily he made a bet, and I won, but I still feel like I can give the boys something in exchange for the dragon balls."
Goku thought for a bit while pacing back and forth until he came up with the perfect exchange!
"I know! I'll offer to teach them both the spirit bomb!" Goku said.
The Kai's looked at Goku with slight confusion, but went with it.
"Uhhh, sure thing Goku!" King Kai said. "Now get going! Frieza is already causing trouble in... uhh what's the name of that planet again?"
"Equestria." Supreme Kai answered.
"Oh right... Equestria."
"Don't worry everyone." Goku said. "I'm not going to let Frieza cause misery to others again. Wish me luck."
Goku then put his index finger and his middle finger on his forehead, and disappeared with instant transmission to Earth. Shortly after, the Kai's went back to viewing the terrible events that were taking place in Equestria.
"Hmmm. It seems that a total of six ponies have now made it their mission to stop Frieza!" Elder Kai said.
"Wait. Those six animals?!" King Kai said in surprise. "Are they stupid, or do they have a death wish? They can't fight Frieza!"
"Let's just hope that they can buy some time long enough for Goku to arrive!" Supreme Kai said.
"By the way, who were those flying horses that fought Frieza?" King Kai asked. "I get the feeling that they are both very important."
"I don't exactly know yet." Elder Kai said. "Maybe we can search the rest of the world for clues."
Back on Earth...
"YOU LYING BACKSTABBING JERK!" Shouted Goten as he did an aerial charge at Trunks. "YOU SAID WE WOULD DO THIS WITHOUT THE DRAGON RADAR! YOU CHEATED!"
Trunks laughed as he dodged the charging attack, and said... "Sorry Goten, but unlike you, I've actually got a valuable wish to grant. Why waste the dragon's wish on toys?"
This just made Goten madder, and he used super speed to get behind Trunks and take away the dragon radar, but Trunks was just as fast and also used super speed to dodge once more. Goten tried again and again, but Trunks remained one step ahead of him the whole time, but this continued for quite some time.
"I MEAN IT TRUNKS!" Goten shouted. "YOU MADE A DEAL! YOU DIDN'T KEEP YOUR WORD! GET BACK HERE!"
"NOT ON YOUR LIFE GOTEN! HAHA!" Trunks laughed. "PERFECT GIRLFRIEND, HERE I COME!"
"NO YOU WON'T!" Yelled Goten, and he became a super sayain, and charged at Trunks with significantly greater speed!
"Wha?" Went Trunks not expecting that, and before Trunks knew it, Goten had snatched the dragon radar out of his hands and flew off!
"WHY YOU LITTLE..." Trunks said, and before he could think of any insult, he to became a super sayain, and chased after Goten.
"HEY GIVE IT BACK! I WAS JUST KIDDING GOTEN!" Trunks said.
"IF YOU'RE GOING TO CHEAT, SO WILL I!" Goten said. "HOW'S IT FEEL YOU JERK!?"
Trunks then used super speed again and appeared in front of Goten and snatched the dragon radar away and just as quickly flew off!
"I'd say it feels pretty darn good! HAHAHA!"
Goten flew after him once more and shouted..."WHEN I GET MY HANDS ON YOU, ILL..."
"Alright that's enough you two!" Said a voice!
Both Goten and Trunks stopped flying.
"Did you hear that noise?" Goten asked Trunks.
"Yeah, it sounded a lot like your...
Suddenly, Goku appeared right in the air between them!
"Dad?" Goten said in surprise. "What are you doing here? I thought you were training."
"Listen both of you." Goku said to Trunks and Goten in a serious but calm manner. "I know that both of you are looking for those dragon balls, but something important has come up."
"What do you mean? What's going on?" Trunks asked.
"Well to make a long story short, an entire planet is in danger, and as unfair as this may be, I'm going to need the dragon radar." Goku said.
"WHAT?!" Yelled both Goten and Trunks. "But we were looking for them first! We wanna make our wish!" Said Trunks.
"OUR wish?" Said Goten. "You mean MY wish you stinking cheater!"
"YOU'RE the one who wants to waste it on toys!" Yelled Trunks.
"Wow, Elder Kai and King Kai were right!" Goku said. "Maybe you both aren't ready for this adventure."
"What do you mean dad?" Goten asked. "Of course we're ready for this!"
"Yeah!" Trunks said.
"No you're not kids." Goku said. "Ever since the dragon balls were created, forces from all over the universe whether they were old or young would come down to Earth for the sole purpose of granting themselves their selfish desires. Look at you two. You were both about to fight over this!"
"No we weren't!" Lied Trunks. "We were just uhhhh, kidding around! Yeah! Right Goten?"
"I can tell when you're lying Trunks." Said Goku. "Look I know that gathering the dragon balls is really exciting, and the thought of getting any wish you want is even more exciting, but it's also causing both of you to lose sight of the bigger picture. You're friendship. Both of you are being blinded by your selfishness, especially you Trunks."
Both Trunks and Goten lowered their heads down in shame.
"We're sorry dad." Said Goten.
"It's okay son, but there is another lesson to all of this." Goku said.
"What's that?" Trunks said. "You said a planet was in danger, what's going on?"
Goku sighed but said... "Well I'm sort of in a hurry, but this is going to take a long time anyway, so I guess I can tell you."
Back on the Sacred Planet of the Kai's...
"It appears that those flying horses that just fought Frieza are referred to as Alicorns." Elder Kai said. "Those two are also apparently princesses!"
"So basically an Alicorn is a Pegasus/Unicorn mix?" King Kai asked?
"I don't think so." Elder Kai said. "There is a huge size difference, and there isn't that many of them. We can conclude that these are rare breeds."
"The big white one represents day going by her sun symbol on her body, and the smaller but darker one represents night. Both being princesses and both having magical powers, I'd say that in their universe, it's those two that control day and night!" Supreme Kai said.
"That explains why their solar system looks odd, especially their sun and moon!" King Kai said.
"I still can't find their names though." Elder Kai said. "We'll find out later, lets get back to the Alicorns and see how they are recovering."
Time went on and...
"When did Frieza gain mind controlling powers?" Elder Kai asked.
"Wait what?" King Kai said. "I know that Frieza is strong, but a mind controller?"
"Take a look for yourself King Kai." Elder Kai said. "He's taking over the Alicorns with some new power! How did he learn how to do that?!" (Chapter 5)
"It was likely that evil wizard Babidi that taught him." Supreme Kai said. "From what I know, he to went to Hell when Buu killed him."
"Something's happening with those two!" King Kai said. "They're both shaking out of control!"
"Frieza's control is having an effect on them!" Supreme Kai said.
"Oh looked they stopped!" Elder Kai said.
"Now they're looking at the doctor in a strange way!" Said King Kai.
"What did Frieza command them to do?" Supreme said.
A few seconds later... (End of Chapter 5...), all Kai's had a classic DBZ moment and fell hard with their legs in the air in total disgust and confusion!
"Let's take a break from viewing the events, shall we?" Elder Kai said with a disturbed tone. "I think I'm just going to lie here until I forget about what we just saw."
"I'm with you on that one." King Kai said.
"I think I'm going to be sick!" Supreme Kai said while holding his mouth, and he flew off to puke!
"So you need the dragon balls to save a world in a different dimension from Frieza?" Trunks asked.
"That just about sums it up." Goku said. "The lesson here is that it's sometimes best to use an advantage to help someone or something else in need, especially if they are in major danger like Frieza! It's best to know what's important, and what isn't as important."
"I know, but it just stinks that we don't get anything out of this!" Trunks said.
"Yeah!" Goten said.
"I'll tell you what kids." Goku said. "After all of this is over, I'll teach you both the spirit bomb!"
Both Goten and Trunks lit up quickly.
"REALLY?!" Both of them asked in excitement. "That's your technique that defeated Buu! I've always wanted to learn that!" Trunks said.
"ME TO!" Yelled Goten. "Oh thank you thank you thank you!"
"Hahahaha!" Goku laughed. "Alright, lets get those dragon balls!"
