Restraint:
I leaned my back against the wall behind me as I crossed my arms over my chest and glowered at my brother and Stiles where they sat behind the table in the middle of the room. Mom placed her arm around my shoulder and squeezed me to her side as I wrapped my arm around her waist. I knew that she was just as upset as I was at the moment and I wanted to give her some kind of comfort. When mom had woken me up earlier, I had quickly thrown on my Warehouse Exposed Seam Jumper, Hummel CLASSIC BEE SWEAT Tracksuit bottoms and Keds Champion Original Sneakers with my hair in a messy ponytail.
"You will not go within 50 feet of Jackson Whittemore. You will not speak to him. You will not approach him. You will not assault or harass him physically or psychologically." Sheriff Stilinski recited off the restraining order in front of him sternly as he glared at Scott and Stiles from the other side of the table and I scoffed slightly to myself as I turned away from them. I couldn't believe that those two idiots had actually kidnapped Jackson and held him hostage in a stolen police transport van.
"What about school?" Stiles asked his father curiously as he placed his elbows on the table on in front of him and John rolled his eyes subtly at his son.
"You can attend classes while attempting to maintain a 50 - foot distance."
"Bu - okay, what if we both have to use the bathroom at the same time and there are only two stalls available and they're only right next to each other?" he asked seriously as he frowned and I pressed my lips together to stop from screaming profanities at his idiocy. Everyone glared at him heatedly and he shrunk back into his seat. "I'll just hold it."
"Get out of here!" John snapped at him as he slammed the clipboard in his hand down on the table and Stiles quickly scrambled out of his seat. Scott stood up as well before looking over at mom and I with an ashamed expression on his face. Mom narrowed her eyes at him as she let go of my shoulders and I pushed myself off of the wall with my foot. Scott opened his mouth to say something to us but we both just shook our heads at him and he snapped his mouth close before walking out the door. Mom and I followed after him silently as I bit the inside of my cheek to stop myself from saying anything and we walked out into the hallway of the police station.
"Move!" mom ordered loudly as she gently pushed on Scott's back and he turned around to face us in the middle of the hallway. I crossed my arms over my chest as I glared at him and mom sighed sadly as she looked at him with disappointment all over her face. "It's not just this. Although, a restraining order is a new low that I didn't think that you would reach quite this soon. It's everything on top of it. The completely bizarre behaviour, the late nights coming home, having to beg Mr. Harris for you to make up that chemistry test that you missed."
"I missed a chemistry test?" Scott asked dumbfounded as he frowned at her and I scoffed in disbelief as mom's eyes widened.
"Really, Scott? Really? I have to ground you. I am grounding you. You are grounded."
"What about work?"
"Fine - Other than work. And no TV."
"My TV's broken."
"Then no computer."
"I need the computer for school."
"Then no, uh - no Stiles." mom said smugly as she looked over her shoulder at the skinny boy standing by the door watching us and I quirked an eyebrow at her.
"What - no Stiles?" Stiles asked in shock as he rushed forward to stand right behind her and Scott stared at our mother in completely speechlessness.
"No Stiles!" she declared loudly as Stiles jumped back at the volume and I had to smile at the flabbergasted expressions on both of the boys faces. "And no more car privileges. Give me your keys. Give 'em to me!" she said as she held out her hand for Scott's keys and he slowly reached into his pocket for his keychain before handing them to her. I watched as she gave a slightly nod to him before trying to get the car key off of the key ring and stepped closer when she struggled. "Oh, for the love of God."
"Mom, come on, let me just - mom. Mom!" I said pointedly as I closed my hand over hers and she looked at me with tears in her eyes. I smiled at her reassuringly as I took the keys from her hand and she took a deep breath before turning back to face Scott.
"What is going on with you? Is this about Allison?"
"Do you really wanna know?" Scott asked in a small voice as he glanced over our shoulder at Stiles and I took the car key off of the keys.
"Yeah. Is this about your father? It is, isn't it? Okay, you know what, um - We'll talk about this at home. I'm gonna go get the car." Mom said in defeat as she took the keys from my hand and started to walk away while I glared at Scott for bring dad into this when it had nothing to do with him.
"You're a horrible person. I know how hard it is for her to even mention dad." I told him sadly as I shook my head in disappointment and turned around to face Stiles. "I-I, no, I don't even have words." I said to them as I held my hands up in surrender and started walking down the hall without another word.
Allison walked besides me with her head in a binder full of the printed out pages of the bestiary that Lydia had translated from Archaic Latin to English for her and I grabbed on to her elbow to help steer her in the right direction since she wasn't looking. I was wearing my new CUT OUT SKATER DRESS, Scrolling Sides Fishnet Stocking, an Open Front Ruched Sleeve Blazer and Steve Madden Arieels, a Ted Baker Brodie Belt Buckle Bracelet with my brunette hair up in a side bun.
"It's everything Lydia can translate. And trust me, she was very confused." Allie told me with an amused smirk as she looked up at me from the paper and I chuckled slightly as I nodded in understanding.
"I probably would be too. What'd you tell her?" I asked her curiously as she slipped the pages into her messenger bag and I linked my arm through hers.
"That we were part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures."
"I am part of an online gaming community that battles mythical creatures." I informed her honestly as I quirked an eyebrow at her and she turned her head to look at me in shock. I smirked in amusement at her expression and I could totally understand her confusion because I didn't seem like the type of person to play online games but Stiles had pressured me into joining once so that he could have enough people for a mission and I got hooked.
"O - oh. Great." She murmured as she blinked in surprise at me and blushed slightly in embarrassment as she ducked her head. I let out a small laugh at her burning cheeks and she chuckled in slight relief that I wasn't offended.
"Okay, does it say how to find out who's controlling him?" I asked her hopefully as I gave her arm a squeeze in reassurance and she sighed heavily as her shoulders slumped.
"Not really. But Stiles was right about the murderers. It calls the kanima a weapon of vengeance. There's a story in there about this South American priest who uses the kanima to execute murderers in his village – "
"All right, see? So maybe it's not all that bad." I interrupted her with a optimistic smile because I really didn't want to think that my best friend was killing innocent people and Allie frowned sympathetically.
"Until the bond grew strong enough that it killed whoever he wanted it to."
"Okay, so that's bad."
"Here's the thing, though. The kanima's actually supposed to be a werewolf. But it can't be until it resolves that in its past which manifested it."
"Okay, if that means that Jackson could use a few thousand hours of therapy, I could've told you that myself." I informed her pointedly as we came to a stop in front of my locker and she laughed breathily as she ran a hand through her. I unlocked my locker to put my books inside as she leaned against the metal locket next to mine and Allie looked at me with pleading dark brown eyes. "What?" I asked her in confusion as I placed my books on the shelf and looked in the mirror on the inside of the door.
"I was just wondering why you're mad at Scott and Stiles and not me for what happened to Jackson?" Allison asked me quietly as she looked around the hallway to make sure no one was around to overhear and I sighed reluctantly as I picked up a tube of lip-gloss from the shelf in my locker.
"Because you're smarter than that. I know it wasn't your idea to kidnap Jackson, and keep him locked in the back of a stolen police van." I said in a spiteful voice as I reapplied my lip-gloss in the mirror and Allison shifted on her feet uncomfortably as she looked down at the ground. I glanced down at her feet for a split second and smiled when I saw the pretty blue heels she was wearing. "Pretty shoes."
"What? Oh, thanks. Lydia made me wearing them as payment for her translating the bestiary." She told me as she rolled her eyes playfully at her mutual friend's attitude and I laughed along with her as I closed my locker.
"You should take them off of a while. You're not used to wearing heels, you might get sore feet really quickly." I advised her seriously as I leaned my shoulder against the locker next to hers and she nodded in understanding as she leaned down to slip off the heels. I pushed myself off of the metal lockers and smiled at Allison as she did the same. "Come on. We're going to be late for English Lit."
"Aren't you getting an 'A' in English Lit?" she asked me in confusion as we started walking down the hall with her heels dangling from her hands. I gave her a confused look as we turned the corner and literally ran into someone's chest. Allison stumbled slightly as I grabbed onto her arm to stop her from falling and I looked up angrily to see Matt Daehler from the lacrosse team standing there sheepishly.
"Oh, you just scared the hell out of me." Matt said apologetically as he helped steady Allison and I let my anger go when I saw the sincere expression on his face.
"Don't worry about it, Matt." I told him nonchalantly as I waved a hand dismissively in the air and Allie forced an embarrassed smile as she tucked a strand of hair behind her ear. I quirked an eyebrow at Matt when I noticed that his gaze lingered on Allie's face and sighed slightly when I realised that this could take a while.
"Ah, that's a - nice heels." He said shyly as he pointed down at the heels and Allison frowned for a second before she chuckled in realisation.
"Oh! Yeah, uh, my feet were hurting, so I – " Allie trailed off with an embarrassed smile when she started to ramble and Matt nodded sagely with a serious expression.
"Same reason I never wear mine."
"What?" she asked in confusion as the joke went right over her head and I breathed out a laugh as I turned my head away from the massacre taking place in front of me. a scowl immediately feel onto my lips when I saw Stiles standing by the lockers on the other side of the hall looking in our direction and when he caught my eye he offered a goofy smile as he waved at me.
"Allison, I'm out. I'll see you later. Bye, Matt." I told them absently as I glared at Stiles and turned on my heel to walk in the opposite direction. I heard someone running after me and I knew that it was Stiles so I just rolled my eyes as I continued to walk away.
"Sophie! Wait up! Oh, come on, Sophie!" Stiles called out after me a little out of breath and I finally huffed slightly before spinning around to face him. "Ah!" he yelped in surprise as he skidded to a stop so that we didn't collide and I quirked an eyebrow at him as I placed a hand on my hip. Stiles put his hands on his hips as he breathed deeply and bent slightly at the waist to catch his breath after running after me. "Oh, god. How can you move so fast in heels?"
"It's a talent. And I'm werewolf. What do you want?"
"I know that you are angry at us but Scott and I need to know something about Jackson and we can't ask him because of the restraining order – "
"Which you deserve." I interjected sternly as I narrowed my eyes at him and he took a step backwards as he nodded jerkily in agreement.
" – which we deserve, so I thought that I'd ask you since, well you're Sophie. You know everything." Stiles finished with a mock innocent smile on his face and I pursed my lips at the flatter even though I knew he was trying to manipulate me. I mentally Stiles for knowing me well enough to know the way to get to me was to compliment my abilities and my mind instead of my looks.
"What is it you want to know exactly?" I asked him reluctantly as I looked away from him so he wouldn't see the interest in my eyes and Stiles sighed in relief that I was cooperating with him.
"Jackson's birth parents –"
"Can't help you." I interrupted him before he could even finish his question and I spun around on my heel to continue making my way down the hallway as Stiles gaped at me. His footsteps hurried after me but I didn't even glanced over my shoulder as the bell rang to signal that class was over and people started to file out into the hallway.
"Do you know what happened to them?" he asked me excitedly as he fell into step behind me and I sighed slightly at myself as I reached into my jacket to get my cell phone.
"Why do you want to know?"
"We think it might have something to do with why he turned into the kanima." Stiles informed me quietly so that no one would overhear us and I sighed in defeat as I look down at my cell phone screen.
Me: Stiles wants to know what happened to Jackson's birth parents
Erica: why r u telling me that?
Me: Because I know you know and I can't tell them
Erica: u want me to play messenger? Do ur own dirty work bitch
Me: Just do it
"I'm not supposed to tell anyone." I informed Stiles honestly as I put my phone back in my jacket and stole a quick glanced at him over my shoulder.
"Come on, anyone who ever says 'I'm not supposed to tell anyone' is always dying to tell someone, so tell me!" Stiles begged me in exasperation as he pouted at me and I scoffed at him as I turned back around.
"I'm not telling you."
"But you are telling me that you could tell me something if you wanted to tell me?"
"Was that a question?"
"It felt like a question." Stiles replied after a moment of contemplation as I tilted my head to the side and I felt a small smile spread across my lips.
"Well - Tell me if this feels like an answer. No." I said mockingly as I plastered a smirk on my lips and turned my head slightly when I saw a flash of blonde hair off to the side of the hall. Erica smirked at me as she nodded that she was ready to take over and I waved a dismissive hand over my shoulder at Stiles as I quickened my pace.
"Sophie! Sophie, come on! So- wait! Ow! Ah, ah, hey, Erica." I heard Stiles say from behind me as I hurried down the hall and turned the corner so that I couldn't hear them over the sound of students chatting between classes. I really didn't want to see or hear what Erica would do to Stiles while giving the information about Jackson's birth parents. Getting pulled between two packs was getting tiring and I had considered aligning myself with one but I didn't think I could choose between them. Scott was set on protecting everyone from the supernatural, even those already a part of it and I was more than happy to help him with that but I also agreed with Derek somewhat when he changed Isaac, Erica and Boyd. I heard a commotion at the other end of the hall and frowned in confusion as I hurried to see what was going on. A group of students had stopped at the end of the hall to watch whatever was going on so my view was blocked by the huddle so I whistled sharply and everyone turned to look at me. I waved a hand to the side as I strolled forward and they all quickly moved out of my way, knowing that I had the power to ruin their social standing. I smirked at myself as I walked passed them towards the locker room and quickened my pace so that I wouldn't miss whatever was going on.
"Scott, Scott, Scott!" I heard Stiles exclaimed from down the hall where the commotion was coming from and I swore to myself as I ran forward to see Erica holding back a shirtless Jackson while Stiles tried to restrain Scott with Allison standing next to Scott with a panicked expression on her pretty face.
"Guys!" I shouted at them as I rushed forward and placed myself between them with my hands outstretched. My brother and my best friend both looked like they were about to murder each other but I just looked between them in confusion.
"What the hell's going on? Hey! Enough! Enough. What do you idiots think you're doing?" Mr Harris asked loudly as he came storm down the hallway and Jackson huffed as he tried to break out of Erica's grip. "Jackson! Calm down! Mr. McCall, you wanna explain yourself? Stilinski!"
"You dropped this." Someone said softly from behind us and turned my head to see Matt holding out an IPad towards Scott.
"You and you - actually - all of you - Detention. Three o'clock."
At three o'clock, we all trudged into the library slowly and I couldn't help but roll my eyes at Scott and Stiles who were walking in front of me with their heads together as they whispered like gossiping old ladies. I stopped walking by the door to the library as I watched Jackson, Allison and Matt sat at one table and Scott, Stiles and Erica at one of the others leaving one table completely vacant. It seemed like the universe was silently mocking me as it forced me to choose between my twin brother and my best friend. I shook my head to myself as I held my head up high and stalked past both of the tables to sit by myself at the empty table. I smirked smugly as I sat down and Mr Harris walked into the library looking as pompous as ever.
"Oh, uh - we can't be in detention together. I have a restraining order against these tools." Jackson informed our chemistry teacher arrogantly as he crossed his arms over his chest and Mr Harris raised his eyebrow in surprise.
"All of these tools?"
"No, just us tools." Stiles said as he pointed between himself and Scott with a tired sigh and I leaned my elbows on the table as I placed my head in my hands.
"Fine. You two, over there." Mr Harris ordered as he pointed a finger over my table and I scowled at the back of his head because had chosen this table to be alone. Scott and Stiles quickly made their way over to my table and Stiles sat down next to me while Scott sat across from him. We were all silent for a moment as Mr Harris went to sit behind the librarian's desk and I sighed in resignation.
"I'm gonna kill him." Scott hissed angrily as he turned his head to glare at Jackson from across the room and I rolled my eyes at his melodramatics as I leaned forward on the table.
"No, you're not. You're going to find out who's controlling him and then you're gonna help save him." I corrected him drily as I quirked an eyebrow at him and Stiles nodded rapidly in agreement as Scott look between us.
"No. Stiles was right, let's kill him."
"Stiles said what?" I asked in outrage as I turned to glare at the skinny human next to me and he opened his mouth to say something before snapping it shut again. His eyes were frantic as he tried to think of some defence for himself and flapped his hands helplessly in front of himself.
"It was only a suggestion! Alright? We didn't do it." Stiles declared as he slumped down in his seat and I scoffed at him as I rolled my eyes but didn't say anything else because I didn't think anything I said would get through to them.
"Come on, Sophie. You can't be mad at us forever." Scott said in a sad voice as he leaned forward on the table and tried to catch my gaze but I pointedly looked away from him.
"Yeah, come on, Soph. You suck at holding grudges." Stiles added as he leaned towards me with puppy dog eyes that made me bite the inside of cheek to stop from giving in to him. Scott moved over onto the next seat so that he was directly in front of me so that I had to see his sad dark brown eyes and I quickly turned my head away but I forgot that Stiles was on that side.
"We love you, Sophie." They both said in unison as they pouted out their bottom lips and I cringed away from them as I closed my eyes tightly so that I didn't have to look at them. I knew that I would give in to them sooner or later but I really wanted to hold out on forgiving them. "Please forgive us."
"Oh, my god. That's creepy! Stop it." I told them sternly as I shuddered overdramatically and they both broke out in silly grins knowing that I had at least partial forgiven them.
"Hey. What if it's Matt? I mean, this whole thing comes back to the video, right?" Stiles suggested casually as he looked over at the table across the room where Matt, Allison and Jackson were sitting silently.
"Danny said that Matt was the one who found the two hours of footage missing." Scott reminded him pointedly as he raised an eyebrow at his best friend and I frowned in confusion to what they were talking about.
"Exactly! He's trying to throw suspicion off himself."
"So he makes Jackson kill Isaac's dad, one of Argent's hunters, and the mechanic working on your jeep?"
"Yes!"
"Why?" I asked him curiously as I crossed my arms over my chest and quirked an eyebrow at him expectantly.
"Because - he's evil."
"You just don't like him." Scott replied with a small smile as he looked over at Matt quickly before turning back around to face us.
"The guy - Bugs me. I don't know what it is. Just look at his face." Stiles said quietly as he narrowed his eyebrows at the brunette across the room and I followed his gaze to see Matt offering a bag of chips to Jackson.
"Any other theories?" I asked him mockingly as I tilted my head to the side and he smiled at me sarcastically as he slouched down in his seat with his arms folded on the table in front of him.
"Are you all right? Hey, you don't look so good." Mr Harris said loudly from across the room and I looked up in concern to see Jackson practically stumbling towards the library door.
"I just need to get some water." Jack told him quietly in a weak voice as he walked towards the door and Mr Harris stood up from his seat as he followed other my best friend with one final warning glance towards the rest of us. Scott, Stiles and I shared a look before we all stood up at the same time and hurried over at the table where Erica was sitting alone with her laptop. I sat down next to the blonde as Stiles took the seat on her other side and Scott sat down across from her with a stern expression.
"Stiles says you know how Jackson's parents died." Scott said firmly as he leaned his arms on the table and narrowed his eyes at the Beta werewolf across from him.
"Maybe." Erica replied coyly with a sly smirk on her lips as she glanced at me from the corner of her eyes and I couldn't by the hard edge in them that she was still pissed that I had sided with Scott and the others during the last fight.
"Talk."
"Why isn't Sophie telling you all of this? You know she got it all straight from the source."
"Sophie is right here." I reminded her pointedly as I gripped her chin in my hand and forced her met my gaze by applying a small amount of pressure to her jaw, knowing that it would heal instantly thanks to her werewolf hearing. I had spent enough time with Derek's pack to know that if you wanted their attention, you needed to earn it. Erica glared at me as she tried to intimidate me into releasing my hold on her but I just stared back at her unrelentingly until she relaxed slightly and my mouth quirked up at the edges as I let go of her. "I made a promise to Jackson never to repeat what he told me. I won't break that promise. I don't reveal other people's secrets. You know that, Erica." I reminded the blonde as I tilted my head discreetly in Stiles direction and her eyes widened as she realised that I was referring to her crush on the skinny weirdo.
"It was a car accident. My dad was the insurance investigator, and every time he sees Jackson drive by in his Porsche, he makes some comment about the huge settlement he'll be getting when he's 18." Erica told the two guys as she turned around to look at them and they both leaned forward to listen to her.
"So not only is Jackson rich now, but he's getting even richer at 18?" Stiles asked in disbelief as he looked between Erica and I for confirmation and I nodded at him in answer as I smirked at his expression. "There's something so deeply wrong with that."
"You know what? I could try to find the insurance report on my dad's inbox. He keeps everything." She said thoughtfully as she opened up her laptop and turned the power on as Stiles leaned forward to look over her shoulder.
"Scott McCall, please report to the principal's office." A voice that sounded a lot like Victoria Argent said over the speaker and we all looked up in shock as Scott's dark brown eyes widened dramatically in a way that was almost comical.
"Ooh. That's some bad luck, Scott." I taunted him with a sarcastic smile and he shot me a glare as he stood up from his seat before walking out of the library. Erica smirked in amusement as she concentrated on hacking into her father's account and I turned my attention back to the screen as she clicked onto the file from Jackson's birth parent's accident.
"Whoa, look the dates." Stiles exclaimed as he pointed a finger at the screen and I leaned to the side so that I could see what they were looking at even though I already knew what they were going to find because I had been there with him Jack when he found out the truth.
"'Passengers arrived at the hospital DOA. The estimated time of death - 9:26 P.M., June 14, 1995.'" Erica recited from the screen with a thoughtful frown on her lips and I tucked my legs under my chair as I placed my arms on the table in front of me.
"Jackson's birthday is June 15th." I informed them helpfully cradled my head in my heads and Stiles leaned around Erica to glare at me heatedly.
"Oh, now you decide to help?" he asked me rhetorically as I smiled sweetly back at him and Erica sighed in exasperation as she closed the laptop. I heard the sound of someone's seat scraping on the ground so I tuned around to see Mr Harris stand up and I immediately sighed in relief that detention was over. I quickly stood up from my seat just as everyone else noticed the teacher leaving and started to sand up as well when Mr Harris caught sight of us.
"Oh, no, I'm sorry. Uh, yes, I'm leaving. But none of you are. You may go when you're done with the re-shelving. Enjoy the rest of your evening." Mr Harris said tauntingly as he patted the stacks of library books waiting by the door and laughed loudly as he left through the door.
"Dickhead." I muttered under my breath as I scowled at his retreating back and huffed as I walked over to the pile of books by the door. Allison and Stiles both joined me as we collected as many books as we could carry and then strolled over to the shelves so that we could talk privately.
"Okay, so we just found out that Jackson was born after his mother died." Stiles informed Allie quietly as he looked around to make sure no one was listening and I started re-shelving the books as I listened to the conversation. "It means he was born after his mom died , by C-section. They had to pull him out of her dead body."
"There's a better way of wording that." I scolded him lightly as I grimaced and he shrugged indifferently as Scott rushed around the corner to join us looking out of breath.
"So was it an accident or not?" Allison asked curiously as she glanced over at Scott in concern but he just shook his head at her and strolled over to stand next to me.
"The word all over the report is 'inconclusive.'" Stiles told them both as he shook his head and I finished with the books as I placed the last one on the shelf.
"Then his parents could have been murdered?" Scott asked unsurely as he glanced at me for confirmation but I honestly didn't know the answer so I just shrugged my shoulders helplessly as I leaned my back on the shelf.
"If they were, then it falls in line with the kanima myth. You know? It seeks out and kills murderers."
"But for Jackson? Or the person controlling him?" Allison asked in a small voice as she slipped her hand into Scott's discreetly and I snapped my head up to glare at her.
"Jack wouldn't kill anyone on purpose." I snapped at her harshly as anger ran through me and her dark brown eyes went wide in shock because she hadn't been on the receiving end of my anger before. I kept forgetting that Allie was still new to Beacon Hills and hadn't been a part of our lives long enough to know that I was fiercely protective of the people I loved. Only a select few people actually fell into that category but Jackson was one of them and my mom, Scott, Stiles, Jack, Lydia, John and Danny were the only people in the world that I would die for.
"Okay, come on. Stop it, alright. Allison, don't piss off Sophie. She was dangerous enough when she was angry without the claws." Stiles interjected as he stepped in between us so that we couldn't see each other and I rolled my eyes at him as I took a step back to show that I wouldn't do anything.
"I'm going to go talk to Jackson. Maybe he'll listen to me." Scott said thoughtfully as he started to turn around and I ignored the doubt in me as I nodded at him because I knew he would do it anyway regardless of what I said. I jumped at the sound of something hitting the floor and I immediately rushing to the entrance of the stacks to see one of the shelves on the ground. Matt was lying unconscious next to it with a red scratch mark on the back of his neck and I looked around for Scott just as the light overhead fell to the ground. I covered my head automatically as I ducked behind one of the metal stacks and cringed at the loud noise that was easy to hear with my werewolf hearing. When all of the smashing stopped, I stood up quickly and rushed to see Jackson standing in front of the blackboard in the middle of the room. I let out a startled gasp at his appearance because half of his body, including his face was covered in green reptilian like scales. His movements were like a marionette with someone pulling the strings and it reminded me instantly of someone being possessed. When it was finished writing, it made a horrid hissing sound before leaping out of the window and I turned my head to read what it had written on the board, 'Stay out of my way or I'll kill all of you'.
"Sophie?!" Stiles called out to me from the back of the library and I ripped my gaze away from the window Jackson had gone through as I ran in the direction Stiles voice had come from. Scott, Stiles and Allison were all crouched besides a seizing Erica and I instantly bolted her side as my eyes widened in fear.
"She's having a seizure." Allie explained unnecessarily as her hands flapped unsurely over Erica's body and I nodded absently as she ran over her check Matt's pulse. "He's alive."
"Hey, we need to get her to a hospital." Stiles suggested as he stared down at Erica's convulsing form with a concerned frown and I shook my head at him as Erica weakly opened her eyes.
"Derek - only to Derek." Erica whispered feebly as she gripped onto my hand and Scott ignored her as he looked at me for instruction. I took a deep breath as I rubbed Erica's hand soothingly and she looked back at me with pleading eyes. "To Derek. To Derek."
"We gotta take her to Derek." I told them sternly as I nodded reassuringly to the blonde on the floor and Scott immediately looked over at Allison as she crouched down next to me.
"I'm staying here with you." Scott said to Allie as he stood up from the ground and Allison did the same as she frowned a little. I blocked them out as I focused all my attention on the girl in front of me and glanced up at Stiles when he took her other hand. Stiles looked so helpless in that moment and I reached across towards him with my free hand. He looked up at me for a second before he slipped his hand into mine and I offered him a small smile that he returned.
The small train car was crowded as Stiles, Scott and I knelt down next to where Erica was lying and Derek crouched down in front of her with a serious expression. Derek's greyish eyes were swimming with panic as his gaze swept over his Beta's injured body helplessly and I carefully placed the blonde's head in Stiles lap.
"Is she dying?" Stiles asked in a small voice as he gaze down at her pretty face and Derek glanced at me for a second as he struggled for an answer.
"She might, I – she's not healing from the seizure." He muttered mostly to himself as he frowned in a mixture of concern and confusion and I squeezed Erica's hand comfortingly as I looked up at the Alpha. Derek sighed in defeat as he turned to face me and I nodded in silent agreement as I tightened my grip on the blonde's hand.
"Which is why this is gonna hurt." I uttered softly as I squeezed Erica's hand hard until the bones cracked under the pressure and she let out a scream as she jumped in surprise at the sudden pain. Derek took the arm that I wasn't holding on to and snapped it in one clean movement causing Erica to jerk as she cried out in pain.
"You broke her arm!" Stiles exclaimed in outrage as he stroked some of her blonde hair out of her face and he looked up to glare at Derek as the Alpha shook his head sadly.
"It'll trigger the healing process. I still gotta get the venom out. This is where it's really gonna hurt." Derek told them softly before he twisted her arm and I had to cringe sympathetically when she screamed in pain. Her body jerked uncontrollably as she cried with the intense pain and I continued to re-break the bones in the hand I was holding so that the healing would increase.
"Stiles - you make a good Batman." Erica said with a whimper as she smiled weakly up at the human holding her head and Derek let go of her arm when she passed out. Stiles let out a small chuckle as he brushed her hair out of her eyes and I slowly stood up from my spot next to her as Derek did the same. Scott looked at us from the side of the train car as we exited to so that Erica could heal and Scott followed after us determinedly. Derek sighed in defeat as he walked over to sit on one of the steel boxes to the side of the abandoned train depot and Scott followed him purposely as I hung back to let them have their little moment.
"You know who it is. Jackson. You just wanted Erica to confirm it, didn't you? I'm gonna help you stop him. As part of your pack. If you want me in, fine. But we'll do it on one condition. We're gonna catch him, not kill him." Scott said sternly as he stood in front of Derek with his arms crossed over his chest and Derek looked up at him hopefully. "And we do it my way."
Hey, Readers!
So, really want your opinion on who Sophie should be paired with because I have an idea in mind and I want to see if you guys agree without me telling you who… I know, I'm a sneaky one.
Thank you all for the favourites, follows and reviews. Please keep the reviews coming. I absolutely adore reading your thoughts!
PS. All of Sophie's outfits can be found on my profile page.
