Haruhi slammed the door shut with more force than necassary and pulled off her heels. Relishing in the feeling of not having to wear them. She stretched her toes slightly as she took her jacket and scarf off, hanging them by the door. Her boyfriend looked up from the food in front of him, his hands stilling in their task of making dinner. He was afraid to ask her how her day was, but did it anyways.

"I lost a case," she grumbled, walking into their bedroom and changing from her work clothes into a pair of shorts and one of her boyfriends shirts. He smiled faintly when he saw her walk out of their bedroom in his shirt, but frowned.

"Why?" he asked, returning to the task at hand. He wasn't about to let her take over cooking, as she normally did when she got home.

"The judge and jury ruled that the woman I was defending had committed the crimes," Haruhi sighed, starting to make tea but was nudged out of the way as her boyfriend took over for her. When she tried to make food, he stopped her as well. She placed her hands on her hips. "I can help, I'm not useless."

"I know, you're stressed," he waved her away, "Go rest and I'll bring you the tea."

"Fine," she sighed, allowing him to kiss her forehead, she wrapped her arms around his waist. "I love you," she murmured quietly. He smiled and kissed her head again.

"I love you too."

She turned and walked into the sitting room, however she smashed her toe against the coffee table and ended up twisting her ankle when she tripped over a fallen book trying to get her ground. A strangled cry left her mouth as she fell to the floor. Takashi abandoned the food and hurried to her side, helping her up and examining her injuries.

"Why can't life ever be simple?" Haruhi demanded, looking like she wanted to punch something. Takashi glanced up at her with a raised eyebrow. "Why can't everything just go according to plan. I didn't win the case I wanted to win, I tried to help you wouldn't let me, and now to top it off, I have injuries."

"The universe hates you?" he spoke, earning a kick to his shoulder. She scowled at him and slid to lay down on the couch, lifting her legs onto the couch. He sighed and stood up, grabbing a blanket and draping it over her. He went and got the tea, bringing it back before finishing their dinner. When he brought it over, she mumbled that she didn't want to eat. Another sigh.

He lifted up some of the food with the chopsticks and held it near her mouth. She looked at him like he was crazy. He poked her lip lightly with the tip of the chopstick, then a bit harder until she begrudgingly opened her mouth and allowed him to feed her. "I'm not a baby," she muttered after swallowing the food. He gathered some more food and held it to her mouth again.

"You're acting like one."

"How?" she asked, allowing him to stick the food into her mouth. She glared at him but ate it.

"You're letting a few bad things rule how you're acting," he spoke calmly, "You've had worse days."

"Like?" she asked, and more food was put in her mouth.

"You were kidnapped once."

"You and the others found me," she countered, trying to keep her mouth as closed as possible, but he still managed to feed her the food.

"So? I tried to help you with your ankle but you didn't let me," he spoke and lowered the plate. She crossed her arms and pouted, a feat that Takashi had never thought he would see Haruhi do. It actually surprised him.

"I can't have a bad day around you, can I?" she asked, frowning. He laughed softly.

"I've had bad days, I'm trying to make your day less horrid," he said placing the food on her lap, "Do I need to feed you still?"

She lifted the chopsticks and ate. He sat beside her and ate his meal as well in silence. She glanced at him. "You never have bad days."

"I don't take them out on you, I go train before coming home," he answered kissing her forehead. She smiled up at him and apologized, kissing his cheek.

"Maybe the universe doesn't hate me...that much."

R&R! Gosh, I keep writing MoriHaru stories *laughs* Another thing, I have pairings for the next couple of stories because I have ideas for them already, so I am sorry! I am thinking of posting the list of stories I am going to do somewhere, but I am unsure of where yet. Since I do not want to post them on the story itself.
