Yo yo yo everybody. I'm back with chapter 21, of course its late again so this might as well be the normal time, I guess (2-7 weeks). I've lately been typing on my phone and I can guess you guys can see the incorrect spellings and grammar...My bad and I'll try to fix those. Hope you guys enjoy~

Marth sat on the seat next to Zelda's bed with his eyes dazed on the floor. His brain couldn't process anything that had just happened and felt the world around him was tearing apart. Zelda was still asleep and would constantly look at her cardiac monitor to make sure she was still alive. Just an hour before, her heart had stopped from an overdose from her medicine. The doctors who brought her back to life weren't sure how the medication given was an overdose. Marth had talked to one of them and he gave multiple ways that such a thing could've occurred. The prince just didn't want to believe it. He couldn't even ask his lover why or how she grew into this mess. So many possibilities that life had to offer could create this result. He just wanted to talk her, love her, embrace her, and finally, get married together.

He placed the palm of his hand on his face and slowly brought it back down. He let out a heavy sigh and heard a knock on the door. Before Marth could imagine who it would be, his best friend Ike came in.

"Hey, how's Zelda?" Ike asked as he walked inside the room and sat next to Marth.

He didn't answer as he felt his eyes droop and look toward Zelda.

Ike commented, "Whoa man, you look tired as hell. What happened to Zelda?"

"She...S-She almost...died." Marth could feel his voice becoming hoarse because he had been holding back his tears. He thought he would burst in any minute.

"What?!" Ike yelled out of worry without thinking about the people around him that were outside of the room passing by. "How did this happen?"

Marth's throat tightened even more and felt he was at the verge of choking. "...Overdosed...Someone or...something gave her an overdose of her medicine. But the doctors think that her body was either too sensitive or was allergic to something...I...I don't know."

"Marth..." Ike placed his hand on Marth's right shoulder and quietly said, "We need to do something about this. Someone is obviously trying to kill Zelda but unlucky for us, we can keep an eye on her twenty-four seven."

Marth managed to mumble out a few words. "I know."

"We'll just be seeing her every day and protect her as much as we can. Right?"

Marth get a smile grow on his face and because of Ike, he felt hope in his heart again.

"Oh, and by the way." Ike added in. "I texted Link about Zelda so he can come and see her too."

"What the hell man!" Marth protested. "I still don't trust that guy's ass."

"Come on man. All three of us have feelings for her. Just because she chose you to marry doesn't mean she won't get tired of you. If that day comes, she still has two choices on her hand. I'm just trying to inform you of that, alright?"

Marth sighed and thought about the idiot next to him and the one in the constant green clothing. True, the contest for Zelda's heart hadn't been completely decided, but Marth won't let go of her without a fight.

"Alright." Marth agreed. "But I promise her, she will be happy with the person she chose."

"Good. Now, lets go home. You look like you're going to pass out if you stay here any longer."

"No, I want to stay here a bit longer. Is that alright?"

"Fine. I'll join you cause I just got here so going back home now would be a waste of time."

As the two men sat there discussing over trivial things, an hour went by and Zelda still had not awaken. Every few minutes, Marth would glance up to see the clock hanging on the wall next to Zelda's bed and see that time would move ever so slowly. He wished she would open her teal colored eyes once again, but right now, the possibilities look slim.

The prince looked quickly at his phone and saw he had gotten no email either if he had been accepted or not. He began to over think it and wondered maybe he had applied to late.

Ike in the other hand was thinking of absolutely nothing with his lips sealed shut and eyes fixated on the bed where Zelda laid. He had been staying with Marth during these crucial times when really, he needed to go back home. The thought of Marth having to bear this burden all by himself followed by leaving him hurt the mercenary's soul and hoped that his people back at home would wait patiently. He thought maybe he should wait until everything is fine and it's a good time to take off. He looked at the prince and saw deep bags sink into his sapphire eyes.

Ike felt an urge to say something when a knock on the door appeared. Both men stood up and when the door opened, the first thing they saw was pure green.

"Excuse me, is this Zelda's room?" Link asked. He saw the two swordsmen standing there in awe with Marth's jaw dropped. "Oh fuck. Ike, why is this guy here?"

"I should say the same to you." Marth darted back. "I still don't trust your fat ass here. Great...Three guys all in love with this one girl in the same room. I wonder how this is going to turn out."

"Guys relax." The mercenary said as he stood between the two hated rivals. "Link, take a seat so we can talk about her." Ike looked at Marth. "You too. I hate being in between both if you guys especially when you're fighting, but right now, this is important."

Marth and Link looked at each other and sat down on opposite sides of Zelda's bed with Ike sitting next to the prince.

"Alright. Lets get started shall we?" Ike started off. All three men sat in the intensified room and could feel the heavy atmosphere. "I'm just going to describe Zelda's condition and Marth will tell more about the medical details." Link nodded in understanding and was a sign for Ike to continue. "Me and Marth were visiting Zelda because this dumbass believed she was cheating on him so he wanted to find out. When we arrived, he noticed something wasn't right about her and before we knew it, she fell on the floor gasping in pain. We called the paramedics and since then, she still hasn't woken up."

Marth agreed. "Right when that happened, I saw her clenching her right side and thought it could've been appendicitis. I called 911, but when the doctors looked at her during surgery, it turned out to be a tumor blocking her right kidney. The problem we are trying to figure out is why had gotten cancer. She could've been exposed to radiation and that affected her, like carcinogen, or she has been smoking lately which I hope it isn't true."

A question popped into Link's mind and interrupted Marth just to be a jerk. "How the fuck do you know all this medical shit?"

"Because I'm going to be a doctor dumbass."

Link was a bit shocked. "Wow. I thought you weren't going to take it seriously."

"Well of course I am. I'm still not sure of what kind I should be, but seeing Zelda, like this, makes we want to know more about cancer." His hands began to tremble and the mercenary saw.

"Listen Marth," Ike said. "The doctor said its not that fatal. In fact we should be happy that we found her in time and she can still be cured."

"So how bad is it?" Link questioned.

Marth's mind went blank without an answer. How bad was it? The doctors only informed what it was and where the tumor was located. "I don't know." He replied back.

"So called becoming a doctor." Link smirked and saw Marth being agitated.

"Do me a favor and shut your fat ass up."

"Guys, we're in a hospital." Ike said as he interrupted the swordsmen's fight. "That kind of behaviors will kick us out and we will never be able to see Zelda until she's discharged who knows when."

Both of them listened to Ike and kept their lips sealed. Link looked at Zelda and saw her skin was pale and the cardiac monitor gave slow beeps; imitating her heartbeat. He felt his point ears drop and the elf took her hand into his. She was cold.

"Hey, let go of her hand." Marth yelled across the room.

"Oh, am I sensing jealousy?" Link said as he tightened his grip on the princess's hand.

"She's my fiancé, not yours."

"You make her sound like a toy you enjoy playing with."

Marth bared his teeth and his brows furrowed. "As if you stupid bastard." Marth stood up and was about to lung himself at the elf, when he bumped into the table holding the urn. "Whoa." It shook and fell into Marth's hands. He took a quick glance and sighed in relief. "Phew." He looked closer at it and saw something was amiss with the urn's color; it turned gray.

Both men in the room saw something such as dread leak out of the prince's eyes.

They approached Marth and Link placed his hand in his hip. "Well, what do we have here? A vase from none other than Hyrule. Looks like someone put some real effort into this."

"Wait, you can see the crazy patterns!?" Marth asked in shock.

"Well, I'll be damned. Guess I'm the only one who can't." Ike said with a silly smile.

"Its not surprising if you can't but I guess Marth is a bit different for an odd reason." Link began viewing all the angles and mentioned, "Looks like this thing has been here for quite some time. It's patterns have changed a lot; even the color. But its probably best to get ridded of."

This one vase had been messing Marth's brain for the past week and Link knew what it was the entire time? He grew angered and asked, "Do you know what that thing does?"

Link sat back down and placed his hands on the back if his head. "They don't really do anything but bring a bit of what people like to call bad luck."

Bad luck? How did such a thing end up in Zelda's room? That brought up another question that Marth had to ask. "Then why is that thing here?"

Ike was doing nothing but watching the drama go down and wished he had some popcorn to enjoy. Instead, he sat down and watched the two men argue. He promised himself that he would stop them when they're trying to kill each other, not arguing. The thought of that made him laugh a bit but he made sure for the others not to hear him. He looked at Zelda and placed his hand on her arm.

Back to where the two swordsmen were fighting, Link gave Marth an answer. "I'm not entirely sure, but the eyes can be deceiving." He crossed his arms and closed his eyes for a mere moment. "I'm guessing a person who worked here had to bring a vase for the patient in which this case was Zelda. They went to a store and found this one." He turned to Ike and asked. "What does this look like to you right now?"

Ike jumped a bit from Link asking him a question and tried to hide the hand that was on Zelda. "Oh! Um, right now, it looks like the flowers are growing tired. Before when we first got here, I saw they were vibrant with color including the ones inside the vase. It looked very nice in fact."

"There's you answer." Link threw at Marth. "They found it achieving and brought it here. Any longer it stays here, the more bad luck it will bring."

Marth felt a loss of words and looked down to the tile floor because this time, Link had bested him. "I see...I'll remove it."

Link nodded and Ike agreed to Marth decision. He let out a smile and suddenly felt something grasp his hand. It was something cold yet soft. He looked to see Zelda had grabbed onto Ike's hand, but when he looked to see her face, her eyes were still covered.

He felt slightly disappointed, but had an urge to call her name. "…Zelda?"

Both men turned to Ike because he had called out to the princess's name. Marth stopped carrying the vase and ran over to see what was going on and so did Link.

Ike called out once more except louder. "Zelda."

Before they knew it, they saw bright teal colored eyes reflect the ceilings light. The pigment in her skin had slightly returned, yet she looked very tired as her eyes showed nothing but blur. She blinked a few times and saw outlines of figures. Zelda felt something in her hand that was warm and looked to see who it was. She squinted her eyes because they refused to adjust and blinked many times. Eventually they did and she saw she the mercenary's hand in her grasp. She let go of it at her own pace and softly said, "Ike?" She observed her surroundings and even saw the prince and elf in the brink of tears. "…Marth and…Link too?"

All three of them cried out in sync, "Zelda!"
