Chapter 21

Jack found himself to be legally dead along with SG-1. He returned to a world where his son was grown, his eldest daughter from another reality was married to Jonas Quinn and his youngest daughter from the future was grown up and married to Sinclair Hammond. He discovered his clone looked just like him but only a few years younger and was married to June Carter…Sam's daughter from the other reality. But nothing was as shocking as to discover the USA had elected the first female president, Dr. Janet Frasier. His head spun, he felt dizzy and it was overwhelming. The Goa'uld were our friends, Ba'al had free range of the SGC, the Jaffa now lived on Earth and Janet was Madam President of the United States of America.

President Frasier arrived at the SGC to see SG-1. She stepped off the elevator surrounded by armed Secret Service escorts and sporting a black skirt with matching jacket over a white blouse and a red scarf. Her hair was neatly up in a bun on top of her head. She looked very professional and was personally escorted by General John Sheppard in his blue dress uniform that was adorned with a ribbon bar and insignia.

Janet admitted, "I still can't believe they are back. It's been so long."

"Not with time travel," he reminded her. "For them it's the same day they left."

"I know," she agreed. "They will need time to adjust." The pair soon arrived at the briefing room. At the table sat SG-1 with Colonel Olivia Hammond at the head. Her eyes feasted on her long missing friends. "It's so good to see you again," she confessed looking over their faces.

Olivia stood up and gave a salute, "Madam President."

Jack gasped, "You really are the President!"

Sam rose to her feet ever so proud of Janet's accomplishment. She gave a salute, "Madam President."

Teal'c rose to his feet and gave a nod of approval as well.

Daniel also stood up. He came over to her arms open wide, "You look great, Janet."

She hugged him tight, "You look just like you did when you disappeared."

"We traveled through time," he told her. "We never got lost or disappeared."

Jack muttered, "I'm totally lost now."

Janet grinned at him, "Colonel." She motioned for him to stand up.

"What?" he asked.

Sam suggested, "She is the President, sir. Perhaps, you should stand."

He grudgingly rose to his feet, snapped a salute and miffed, "Napoleon."

Janet came to him and found herself hugging him, "God I missed you."

He admitted, "I'm glad you are here."

Janet released him and spoke to Olivia, "I can't believe you are so calm when you just got your parents back."

"I'm not a little kid anymore," she reminded her. "Have a seat, Aunt Janet."

Janet took a seat at the opposite end of the table with John Sheppard sitting beside her. SG-1 and Olivia also took their seats once more. Janet asked, "What's the long term plan?"

Olivia explained, "Whatever device sent them here is in the bottom of a tar pit. They are not going back and will be given new housing, vouchers for clothing, funding and their old jobs back." She looked at Jack, "Uncle Jon took over your cabin. You will have to work that out with him."

"My clone has my cabin?" he miffed. He crossed his arms, "I doubt I'm getting that back. What happened to my truck?"

"He took most of what you had," she winced.

"My retirement?" he balked.

"Actually, we all split that up." she informed, "The same with mom's retirement. Daniel had placed me down as his beneficiary on his 401k and I got that. Teal'c, your funds when to your son. But the government will reimburse the loss."

"I see," the Jaffa agreed.

Daniel wondered, "So what ya do with money that I left ya?"

"I rolled it into my retirement," she explained. "It's still there."

"Ah," he nodded pleased she didn't waste it on fancy sports cars or toys she did not need.

Jack wondered, "What ya all do with my money?"

"It was divided 4 ways," she started.

"Four!" he huffed, "There's you, Jackie and Charlie…Who is the forth?"

"Uncle Jon," she told him.

His head rolled back, "He even got my retirement."

"I got my first car and have money set aside to get my next car." she informed.

"Oh," he perked up, "Got past the Princess Power Wheels! What ya get?"

"A Subaru Outback," she told him.

Daniel mentioned, "Those are great cars. That and Land Rover."

She simply gave a nod, "I like those too."

Sam wondered, "Did the money you inherited from me help you out in anyway?"

"Yes," she assured her. "It helped pay for my wedding and some land Clair and I bought."

Sam felt down, "I'm sorry I missed your wedding." She went off world for just an hour and came back to a world where everything had changed. She missed Olivia's growing years and her wedding to boot.

"I knew you would come back," she assured her. "Don't feel sorry. You are here now and that's what matters."

Jack crossed his arms, "So you are all grown up and married. Jackie is married to Quinn. What about Charlie? He married or what?"

She told him, "He's got this on and off thing going with Adria."

"Adria?" he asked.

"She was sent here by the Ori as a weapon. I deprogrammed her and she's with us now." she explained. "Daniel warned us about her when he was Ascended."

"Right," Daniel recalled. "I think in the first timeline I wasn't successful at deprogramming her but I figured you might be able to help her."

"Vala and me and the Omega Team did that," she nodded.

Jack asked, "Who is Vala?"

"Vala is Cam's wife," she explained. "After you guys disappeared SG-1 became John Sheppard, Cameron Mitchell, Dr. Rodney McKay, Liz Weir and Vala mal Duran. She was a host for Qetesh. We found her when she tried to highjack one of our ships. Cam stopped her and I guess they clicked…" she shrugged with a hand motion.

Daniel bit his lip, "How come I get the feeling things would not have been that smooth for me?"

Sheppard told him, "Mitchell was able to reel her in after she beat him up."

"Beat him up?" Jack wondered to himself.

Janet stated, "We found that placing Cameron Mitchell and John Sheppard on the same team was like lightening in a bottle. It was amazing what they could pull off. It was kind of like having two versions of Jack O'Neill working together. Of course they drove Rodney crazy but so did Vala."

Sam wondered, "What became of Rodney?"

"He heads the research and development on Atlantis," she explained. "We retrieved the city and it's on Earth. You can come and see it anytime."

"Sounds great," Daniel sighed wishing he had been there for the discovery.

Olivia added, "I will have to have Todd clear them medically before they can go off base."

"I figured," Janet agreed.

Jack asked, "Todd?"

"He's the Chief Medical Officer," Olivia stated. "I should warn ya, he's from Pegasus and is a Wraith."

SG-1 traded glances. Daniel asked, "Didn't you warn us about them?"

"I did," she recalled. "The reason we were at war was due to a lack of food sources but we fixed that problem. The Wraith require an enzyme daily to digest normal food. They can eat like we do now."

Jack asked alarmed, "And before?"

John Sheppard stated, "They suck the life out of ya with their hand. It's not a pleasant thing to endure. Believe me! I know!"

Jack looked at Sam, "Tar pit doesn't sound so bad."

"There is no way we can go back," she told him. "We're 15 years into the future. This is home now for us. We have 15 years of catching up to do. I'm sure we can handle this."

Janet stated, "You will all be going to the White House for a special dinner after you get settled in. Your return will be announced in the news."

Jack asked, "Just what will the cover story be?"

"No cover story," she told him. "You came across an alien device that sent you 15 years into the future and the device is incapable of sending you back. The public will know. Disclosure happed before you disappeared. The fight against the Gin is well known and so are our allies here on Earth. Everyone knows who the Jaffa are, who the Asgard are, who the Tok'ra are, who the Gao'uld are and the Nox and the Furlings."

Daniel asked, "We found the Furlings?"

"Years ago," she informed.

Sam figured, "Least it's only fifteen years. We didn't end up a hundred years in the future and not know anyone. We can adjust to this. We just need to catch up with everyone else."

Janet assured her, "You will all need time to adjust. A lot has happened in the time you were gone. No one expects you to just walk right into being SG-1 again. You need to take your time and get adjusted to the changes."

Sam nodded agreeing, "We need to do that."

Daniel slowly nodded as well, "Yeah! I need to get up to speed."

Teal'c stated, "I wish to see my people."

"You will," she assured him.

Jack huffed, "I want my cabin back!"

Janet winced, "You will have to talk to your clone on that one. I don't think he's going to give it up that easily."

"For crying out loud," he muttered.

Few Hours Later

The Omega Team stepped through the Gate with an artifact they were sent to retrieve. The device was the size of a small table and square. The box glowed with a soft blue light from the center.

Olivia waited for them as they walked down the ramp. Colonel Jon O'Neill held one side of the box and Colonel Charles O'Neill held the other side. Colonels June Carter and Jackie O'Neill carried the extra gear. The Omega Team all carried the same rank and they rotated in and out of leadership rolls depending on the situation and who had expertise. George's secret team worked just as he planned and was instrumental in the gains Earth had made.

Jackie spied younger half-sister, "We got it!" she smiled. "Only saw one Gin this time…Scared it off with a sound apparatus.

"Good," she nodded eager to tell them SG-1 was back.

Jon knew the look, "What ya hiding?"

"I was right," she told them, "SG-1! They are alive and came back when you were off world."

Jon gasped, "Where were they?"

"They found a partial immersed Ancient device in a tar pit that Dad triggered and sent them through time. To them they just left and came back. It's only been hours for them. They have been debriefed and Janet is here to see them." she explained. "They can't go back for the tar pit is now covering the device and we can't get at it."

June figured, "They are still young then?"

"Just like when they left," she nodded. "They are getting caught up with things. You should have seen the look when Ba'al entered the room earlier."

Jon huffed, "I'm still not thrilled about the 'Goa'uld are our friends' thing," he made quotation marks with his free hand as he spoke.

"Dad wants his cabin back," she grinned at him.

"Over my dead body!" he huffed.

Olivia laughed to herself.

Jackie figured, "This is gonne be fun watching Dad and Jon fight over that stupid cabin."

"It's not stupid," he insisted.

June figured, "I need to secure this power modular in my lab. Then I want to see them."

"You will," she agreed.

June led the two men carrying the box out of the room as Jackie lingered behind. Jackie asked, "So where are they now?"

"Physicals with Todd," she told her.

"Oh' boy," she winced. "I'm going to go to the infirmary."

"Jonas is there with them." she told her.

"They never met Todd before," she countered. She walked out of the room as Olivia made her way back to the control room. She walked into the control room and took a seat where Walter used to work. He had since retired and his job was now automated. She worked as both base commander and Control Room Technician to override any automation. She thought back to when she was little and SG-1 failed to come back from off world. No one could find them for the tar pits had overcome the area. They could only assume the team fell victim to a tar pit and was declared dead but Olivia never believed it. She knew they would come back. She only had a feeling but she found her gut feeling was always right. As she grew older she realized why the Gin targeted her as a child. She had a sixth sense! She could sense them before anyone else. As the Gin became prevalent in the galaxy the governments discovered those who had the gift of the sixth sense would be the best defense against the new enemy. Recruiting and testing began for those who were born with a "psychic" ability. Olivia found she was one of those few and she wondered is perhaps any of SG-1 also had the sixth sense as well for the government found the gift was hereditary and prevalent in those with the Ancient gene.
