Vacation Part 2: I don't know how many parts this will be. I'm not getting any reviews, so do you guys want me to continue?

Jack walked into Allison's office and handed her a form to request his vacation. She looked over the form carefully. "You will need to get Henry and Jerry to sign off on this, because they are the mayors of Eureka. Get Doctor Ortiz to sign off and you can use medical leave for the last week if you want," she said. Jack nodded and took the papers back. He was preoccupied; last night Harry had a nightmare and had turned the entire house an eerie shade of green. Luckily, Jerry and Anna Lee were able to reverse it.

"Jack!" said Allison as he turned around, "What's wrong?"

"Well, last night, Harry had a nightmare, and he turned the entire house green…" said Jack.

"What, like the floors and walls?" asked Allison.

"No…the entire house. Floors, walls, ceiling, furniture, appliances, even the mail on the coffee table and the clothes in my closet, my skin, Zoe's skin, Harry's skin…, even the food in the fridge and the coffee and the water was green…everything was green…an eerie shade of green…" said Jack.

"Oh, well bring Harry by and I'll run a test if you want, see if there's anything wrong," said Allison.

"Okay, I'll be by this afternoon," said Jack walking out of the office.

He then went to see Jerry and Henry. Jerry and Henry, both being the mayor, each of their own division of Eureka, actually shared an office. Jerry's was hidden as a broom closet to muggles, and if they opened the door, they actually did open to a cleaning closet; Jerry's actual office was hidden behind a sliding door. This is because it was easier than using a ward to keep muggles out. Most muggles had no reason to pull down the hidden lever, and enter his office, which was a huge room thanks to a space expansion charm.

So Jack got Jerry and Henry to sign his vacation request, and then went to see Dr. Ortiz. Dr. Ortiz insisted on seeing Jack for a half-hour session to talk a bit more about the vacation and where they were going; it was not an official session, meaning it was not covered by patient-counselor confidentiality. He just wanted to know some of Jack's itinerary so that he could send the information to the Order of the Wozak for Jack's safety.

"So, when you get to your sister's place, you are going to call me to check in, right?" asked Dr. Ortiz.

"Yes, I will let you know I arrived, and keep you appraised of my general movements. I had SARAH work with Zoe and Harry to plan out our itinerary. You have a copy?

"Yes, and it's that smart paper with a connection to SARAH, so if you update it, she'll update my copy too. I want you to know, I contacted the Order of the Wozak. They will have agents around you 24/7 for the whole of the trip but you won't actually see anyone, unless you are in danger. They may not have wands, but like I told you before, they have magical and techno-magical artifacts. They took down Death Eaters, so they should have no problem with the Black Coats who are not nearly as ruthless. Be sure to check in when you get back for a debriefing as well. And enjoy yourself, Doctor's orders," said Dr. Ortiz.

"If I do see one, how will I know who they are? I mean could a Black Coat or Death Eater impersonate them?" asked Jack.

"Not likely. They have a tattoo on their right forearm; it's of the Marine Corps seal but with two wands behind the Earth instead of an Anchor. It's enchanted so that anyone who does not know who the Order of the Wozak are will see the regular Marine Corps seal. Since you know who they are and about the seal, you will be able to see it for what it is. The tattoo is part of a magically binding oath and cannot be forged," said Dr. Ortiz. Jack nodded, relieved that there was some way to identify the Order of the Wozak.

The trip was a 22 hour drive that Jack had opted for. He figured they would drive to Salt Lake City, stop there for a day to take in the view and visit an old friend of his from the academy who was now a professor at University of Utah, and then be on their way. He was taking the Van that Henry had recently finished building. It was supposed to get 55 miles to the gallon; Henry called it a prototype hybrid multi-fuel vehicle. It could run on kerosene, diesel, methanol, whiskey, gasoline or any mixture of any combustible fuel. Henry had suggested that he stick to one fuel as it required a special purge to switch between types, something that Henry was working on.

So Jack went and picked up Harry from the Daycare Center and brought him over to Allison, dropping off his vacation request form in the process. Allison quickly scanned Harry.

"The darkness is definitely gone, as there is now no second magical signature with his, but his own signature has changed. He has dipped a small bit, going from 90 to 88, but that's not a significant change. His magic does appear to be stable and he appears to have no physical changes from the darkness that tried to infest his core," said Allison.

"And the Nightmares?" asked Jack.

"I would say, that since he is Harry Potter, and witnessed his parents being killed, that he is having normal nightmares from such an event. Perhaps a couple of sessions with Dr. Ortiz after the vacation would help get him to deal with the event in a more constructive manner. Other than that, I cannot make any recommendations. Has he had the nightmares before?" said Allison.

"No, he hasn't. SARAH has been playing soothing sounds to him at night and that seems to keep them at bay. Last night, she said the speakers in Harry's room went offline before he went to sleep so she wasn't able to play the sounds," said Jack. Allison made a note to send Jerry and Henry to Jack's house during Vacation to upgrade SARAH's system to be magic resistant.

It is a little known fact that there are 4 types of metal. They are metal alloys made by magic, metals immune to magic, metals neutral to magic and metals that are magic responsive. Metal Alloys made by magic can overlap with any of the other three categories but are usually neutral. Mithril is one goblin made metal that is made by magic. Metals that are neutral to magic can be charmed, transfigured or otherwise affected by spells but they neither hinder nor help the magic. Steel is one such metal. Metals that are immune to magic cannot be changed by it; spells cannot charm, transfigure, or otherwise affect it, this especially includes duplicating it. Gold, Silver, and Bronze are three such metals. And the metals that are magic responsive are particularly susceptible to magic; you can transfigure a piece of this metal into anything and it will enhance the spell. Copper is one such metal and as such is used in wands in Asia, Egypt, Israel and some parts of North and South America.

So Jerry would put SARAH's most sensitive system in a box with a 5 millimeter plate of lead sandwiched between two 5 millimeter plates of bronze, making her most vital systems immune to magic. He would then see about using PVC piping to cover most of the wires, as it is also known that PVC piping is magically immune.

MEANWHILE AT ST. ANTHONY'S IN SPOKANE, WASHINGTON,

Alice Longbottom had just gotten out of magical surgery. The surgery went well and her body was responding to the follow up potions, but she was at a critical point. In order for the surgery to take full effect, and for her body to be fully healed, she needed absolutely no contact with any magic other than her own. So she was in a special room. This isolation booth was made completely from bronze with a lead core, so that no external magic could influence Alice's healing. The nurses that gave Alice her potions were muggles, as they were the only ones who could safely enter the booth and not have an effect on the healing. There were wards outside of the booth in the room that would stun and alert the hospital if anyone magical, even a squib, entered the room.

Of course Albus Dumbledore did not know this when he portkeyed into the hospital, in a linen closet nearest to her room; he'd bribed quite a few people to find out where she went and imperiused a nurse to make him a portkey to close to her room. Unknown to Albus, he was under the influence of The Necromancer; his orders to enter Alice's room, and use the Cruciatus curse on her to undo whatever treatment the colonists came up with, or AK her and leave before they were any wiser. As soon as he stepped into her room, he was hit by 5 stunners and fell to the floor.

Security came running, and the Aurors had him bound and in magic suppressing cuffs and had taken him to the American Ministry of Magic, West Coast Head Quarters, before five minutes had passed. Albus would wake up in a room, dressed in plain gray robes, with 4 gray walls, a gray floor and ceiling, no window and no door. He would try to apparate out but find himself unable to do so; he would try to remove the magic suppressing cuffs but be unable to remove them, especially without his wands.

Okay let me explain some things. First of all, magic cannot affect gold or silver or bronze. As such, you cannot create it, transfigure it, or otherwise use magic to do anything to it or with it. This is why it is used as money. Second, this is an AU and as such does not affect canon or anything *IN* canon such as the ministry fight with the fountain or Hermione's duplication of the Slytherin locket. However, in this particular universe, the fountain is not real gold; it's iron pyrite, charmed to look like gold. The locket that Hermione duplicates in this AU, that is the duplicate itself, is actually steel made to look like silver as steel has a more greyish tint to it.

There is one metal that actually hinders the flow of magic and that is lead. Lead actually has a negative effect on magic; if you were to cast an AK at a piece of lead, it would not only have no effect, but the lead would actually absorb and neutralize the magic completely. And Lead actually suppresses magic. Magic suppression cuffs are bronze hand or leg cuffs that have lead at their core; this is because Bronze resists magic and lead actually suppresses it. Wearing these cuffs effectively cuts a magic user off from his or her magic; it works on all of them, including Goblins, Dwarves, Centaurs, and even House Elves.

As an example, if you take a piece of copper and transfigure it into a scale model of Hogwarts, the copper will have life-like details down to the moving staircases and portraits and the transfiguration will hold 100 times longer than with any other substance, with minimal effort. By contrast if you transfigured a piece of steel the same way, you'd get a scale model but with hardly any details beyond the windows and superficial look of Hogwarts unless you did so on purpose and you'd have to pour in extra magic to do so. And if you tried it on a piece of gold, say a galleon, it would do nothing. Not even Dumbledore could transfigure a galleon.

Alice's Room is based on Isolation wards that they put someone in when they have an immune system problem or a highly infectious disease or even a hyperbaric chamber used for decompression. The room is 10X10, and the walls are made of two 15 cm bronze plates with a 5 millimeter lead plate between them; this is enough to suppress any magic that is not her own internal magic. If Dumbledore had entered the room, his magic would have been suppressed, and he would have been unable to cast any spell after a few minutes but would have had enough to ruin her healing.

PVC piping is much the same way as lead is; it neutralizes magic but not on the same scale as lead; if you cast a spell at PVC piping, it simply fizzles, so it makes a good anti-magic protection.

OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE OMAKE:

Ever since Harry found out that they would be going to visit his Aunt Sam, he was excited. If he'd stopped to think about it, he would be confused as to why his aunt had a boy's name but that wasn't important. What was important, to Harry at least, was that he and his Daddy, and his big sister Zoe were going to leave and go have some fun. Harry had insisted that SARAH let him pack himself, which was what he was just about to finish doing.

"Harry, you cannot pack that. You must pack more than just underwear, toys and books. You are going to need regular clothes," said SARAH.

"But SARAH, I don't want to be bowed on the trip. I have to bwing my toys and books," said Harry. Harry had been seeing a speech therapist for a few weeks and it did wonders; while he still messed up some words, his vocabulary and pronunciation had improved a whole lot. For some reason, the letter 'b' always gave him trouble.

"Oh…alright. You may bring 5 toys, and 5 books in one small case, but the bigger case must have at least 5 pairs of pants, 5 shirts, one pair of dress pants and a dress shirt and at least 5 pairs of undies, and 5 pairs of pajamas," said SARAH, "Look at the holographic wall paper for a demonstration on how to fold your clothes so they fit without too many wrinkles."

Harry looked at the holographic wall paper which showed a picture of his suitcase, his clothes, and showed a woman which Harry thought looked familiar, folding the clothes, and then putting them neatly into the suitcase. Harry focused on the woman and then he had it. That was SELMA from Time Trax, one of Fargo's favorite shows.

Harry liked Fargo. He was a silly man but he was smarter than others thought and he was always very nice to Harry, bringing him chocolates and peppermints whenever he knew he was going to see Harry. He also got Harry this neat toy remote control car that Harry just loved because the controls were really easy. He also never talked down to Harry like some of the others did, and when Harry asked questions, he always answered, and never tried to dumb down his answers. Harry didn't always understand but he understood enough to know when he wanted to know something, he could go to Fargo for a real answer. Well, except for that one time when he asked Fargo where babies came from and the man actually told him to go ask his Daddy.

Of course, his Daddy said that Fargo was a bum-gluer, whatever that meant, and that he meant well but he would do better if he stopped trying so hard.

So Harry did like the hologram on the wall did and started folding the clothes just like she did and putting them in the suitcase just like she did. As he finished, he wondered if this was what it was like to have a Mommy. He supposed that SARAH was like a Mommy to him and Zoe and Daddy but he wasn't sure.

SARAH took care of them, fed them, helped Daddy whenever he needed help, helped Zoe with her homework, alerted Ally when they were sick, as well as helping to care for them, and helped them all keep their lives straight because she was super-duper-mega-smart. Maybe she was only like a Mommy, since she was their house. It was something he was going to have to think about.

BUM-GLUER = SEE IF YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT. ANSWER IN THE NEXT CHAPTER

I felt that Fargo was one of the more dynamic characters that had a lot more potential than they used. He could have been the guy they always underestimated and never gave a 2nd thought to but in the end always came through for them, sort of like the super-intelligent version of Jack. He is one of the few scientists that's very tolerant of Harry's presence, due to being so young himself.
