At night, while the moon was out, several people inside a diner were arguing with one another. While they were bickering, a strange green mist was moving across the floor. Sitting in a corner booth, three mysterious girls in hoodies were vocalizing as the green mist was getting absorbed into these three red pendants around their necks. After the job was done, the two girls sitting next to each other took their hoods off.
Aria: (Sigh) That was barely worth the effort, Adagio. I'm tired of fast food. I need a meal.
The third girl across the table took her hood off.
Adagio: The energy in this world isn't the same as in Equestria. We can only gain so much power here.
Aria crossed her arms in annoyance.
Aria: Ugh! I wish we'd never been banished to this awful place!
Adagio: (Sarcasm) Really? I love it here!
Adagio gave an annoyed look.
Sonata: For realsies? Because I think this place is the worst.
Aria: I think you're the worst, Sonata.
Sonata: Oh yeah? Well, I think you're-
Adagio placed her fingers on her forehead, shook her head, and groaned.
Adagio: I'll tell you one thing, being stuck here with you two isn't making this world any more...
She clenched her teeth.
Adagio: ...bearable.
Adagio noticed some kind of explosion of light coming from a distance outside. She quickly raced out of the diner with the other two following her. Adagio witnessed two rainbow beams firing upward into the sky as they twirled around each other. The beams merged into one and fired downward. After that was over, Adagio felt this energy within her pendant.
Adagio: (Gasp) Did you feel that?
She grinned evilly before turning to her comrades.
Adagio: Do you know what that is?
Sonata and Aria shrugged as they had no idea. Adagio then grabbed Aria by her collar.
Adagio: It's Equestrian magic!
Aria removed Adagio's hand from her collar.
Aria: But this world doesn't have Equestrian magic.
Adagio turned around and smiled before walking forward.
Adagio: It does now. And we're going to use it to make everyone in this pathetic little world adore us!
Sonata and Aria smiled in agreement as they stood by Adagio's sides.
The song "Rainbow Rocks" begins to play in the background.

Tom: Good morning, Quahog. I'm Tom Tucker. If you could all stop staring at my handsomely-devilish moustache, you'll see we have some breaking news to break down. Tragedy has struck in Quahog as our beloved yet seemingly retarded Mayor, Adam West, has just recently passed away. I think I speak for Robin when I say, "Holy crappy mayonnaise, Batman! You're dead".
Lois: Oh, this is terrible!
Meg: I can't believe Uncle Adam is dead.
Chris: I can't believe we didn't say goodbye.
Brian: I can't believe his last words were, "Yummy Peru".
Glory: I can't believe the pain Aunt Carol is feeling right now.
Peter held up some bread with butter on it.
Peter: I can't believe it's not butter.
Lois: N-no Peter. We're not doing that.
Tom: According to the Mayor's Will, Mayor West has issued a 72-hour challenge for all of Quahog to participate in as he looks down on all of us from the Heavens. But first, let's go to Ollie Williams with the Blaccu Weather Report. Ollie?
Ollie: IT'S SUNNY OUTSIDE!
Tom: Thanks Ollie. We now go live to asian reporter, Tricia Takanawa, for the unveiling of the Mayor's challenge. Tricia?
It cuts to Tricia at the park.
Tricia: Tom, if you and the rest of Quahog could stop staring at my breasts, you'll notice I'm standing next to this raffle drum, which contains challenges suggested by the citizens of Quahog. But only one can be the winner.
Stewie yawned, stretched his arms, and slowly opened his eyes.
Stewie: What I miss?
Tricia picked out one of the challenges.
Tricia: And the 72-hour challenge is...
The family moved their heads in closer to the TV.
Tricia: ...listening to Surfin' Bird by The Trashmen.
All except Peter: NO!
Peter hopped off the couch and raised his arms up high.
Peter: YES!
Stewie: SON OF A BITCH!
The song immediately started playing on TV.

It has been six moons since the Fall Formal, and the students at Canterlot High seemed to be getting on with their happy lives. Inside the school's auditorium, the students were busy making banners for the school's upcoming musical showcase. Sunset Shimmer went over to the Cutie Mark Crusaders banner and picked up a paintbrush.
Sunset: Want some help?
Apple Bloom: Uh... no thanks. We're good.
Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle nodded.
Sunset: Oh. Okay.
Sunset felt disappointed and gave the paintbrush back.
Pinkie Pie: SUNSET SHIMMER!
Sunset spotted Pinkie Pie calling to her and waving her arm.
Pinkie Pie: OVER HERE!
Sunset gave a warm smile, but it disappeared once she saw students glaring at her. As soon as she started walking over to Pinkie Pie and the others, the students around her began whispering about Sunset Shimmer in a bad matter, making her feel uncomfortable.
Sunset: (Sigh) I had no idea the whole school would be here.
Fluttershy felt so sorry and placed a hand on Sunset's shoulder. Rarity and Pinkie Pie picked up the banner they were working on.
Rarity: Quite the eye-catching advertisement, if I do say so myself.
Pinkie Pie: And it smells like cake!
Fluttershy: It does?
Fluttershy sniffed for the cake scent before Pinkie pushed the banner in her face. When she pulled the banner back, Fluttershy revealed to have frosting and other stuff on her face.
Pinkie Pie: I used frosting instead of paste.
Applejack: Uh, Fluttershy?
AJ pointed to her face.
Applejack: You've got a little somethin', uh...
Fluttershy wiped the left side of her face.
Fluttershy: Did I get it?
Applejack: Heh, not exactly.
Sunset wiped Fluttershy's face with a cloth as Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna entered the room.
Celestia: Good afternoon, students. I just wanted to tell you all how pleased I am that so many of you are going to participate in the first ever Canterlot High School Musical Showcase.
The students in the auditorium cheered after that little announcement.
Celestia: This is a wonderful opportunity to raise money for all our after-school programs here at C.H.S. So keep working on those signs and posters. I think it's going to be one of the most exciting events we've had at C.H.S... since the Fall Formal.
The mentioning of the Fall Formal caused Sunset Shimmer to become surprised, and the other students to glare at her angrily again. Sunset was so humiliated that she slid her back down the bleachers and hid her face.
Some time later, in the school's band room, the girls were getting ready to play music. Rainbow Dash was on guitar, Pinkie Pie was on drums, Applejack was on bass, Rarity was on the keytar, and Sunset... was sitting on top of a piano.
Sunset: Ugh! I am never gonna live that down.
Fluttershy: You were pretty bad at the Fall Formal.
She said as she picked up a tambourine off the shelf.
Sunset: A demon. I turned into a raging she-demon.
Pinkie Pie: And tried to turn everyone here into teenage zombies for your own personal army.
She ended with a smile.
Rarity: Oh, darling, you have us, and we've forgiven you for your past...
She cleared her throat.
Rarity: ...booboos.
Applejack: To be honest, I'd say the whole experience brought everyone at Canterlot High closer than ever before.
Pinkie Pie tapped her drumsticks as she counted.

Rarity: Aheh. I still can't believe that happens when we play.

Rarity: Ooh, I've got to look into some new accessories. Something that looks good in a longer ponytail. Ooh, maybe some clip-on earrings for when I get those adorable pony ears.
Applejack: I just wonder why it happens. Princess Twilight took her crown back to Equestria. Shouldn't that mean she took all the magic back with her?
Rainbow Dash: Who cares why it happens? It makes my band totally awesome!
Rarity: (Scoff) Your band?
Rainbow Dash: Duh!
Rarity gave a disapproving look.
Rainbow Dash: It was my idea to start the Rainbooms so we could be in the showcase. Plus I'm the lead singer and guitarist.
There was a knock on door, and entering the room was Flash Sentry.
Flash: Uh, heard you outside. You guys are sounding really tight.
Rainbow Dash: Uh, we're getting there. Rarity's still coming in a little late on the second verse, and Applejack's bass solo could use a little work. They'll get it together in time for the showcase.
Applejack and Rarity gave annoyed looks as Fluttershy tried to hide her face behind her tambourine. Flash sheepisly rubbed his head.
Flash: Uh, I don't suppose any of our friends from, uh... out of town might come?
He embarrassingly looked away.
Flash: Uh, it being a special charity event and all.
Applejack: Sorry, Flash. I don't think Twilight's gonna be back at Canterlot High any time soon.
Flash: Hehe. Oh, yeah. Okay. I just, you know, thought I'd ask. Uh...
He backed his way out of the room.
Flash: K-keep on rockin' it.
Flash's back accidentally hit the wall. He blushed with embarrassment and left the room.
Rarity: Well. Someone is quite the smitten kitten.
She widened her eyes and turned to Sunset.
Rarity: Oh. Sorry. I always forget you and Flash used to be an item.
Sunset: It's okay. Flash is a great guy and all, but I never really liked-him liked him. I was just using him to become more popular.
She buried her face in her hand.
Sunset: Ugh! The old me really was just awful, wasn't she?
The girls mumbled, trying to say "Yes".
Applejack: But the important thing is that you've turned yourself around.
Sunset: Thanks Applejack, but I'm not sure everyone else at C.H.S. feels the same way.
There was a beep sound coming from the intercom.
Luna: Sunset Shimmer, please report to the main foyer.
Sunset began walking out of the room.
Sunset: Gotta run. I volunteered to show some new students around the school. Thought it'd be good for them to get to know the new me before they heard all the stuff about the old me.
After Rainbow waved goodbye, she turned to her friends.
Rainbow Dash: We've still got a few minutes before lunch starts. What do you say we do "Awesome As I Wanna Be"?
Fluttershy: Um, Rainbow Dash?
Fluttershy held a little book in her hands.
Fluttershy: I was wondering if we could maybe play the song I wrote?
Rainbow Dash: We'll get to it.
Rainbow Dash placed her guitar strap over her.
Fluttershy: Oh. Okay.

Over by the docks, Brian was relaxing in a chair with his paws behind his head. He breathed in some air and then exhaled.
Brian: This is the life!
Brian then noticed something tugging on the other end of his fishing rod.
Brian: Alright! Fish Stew, here I come!
He started reeling in what ever is was he caught. As he does, he grunts.
Brian: This is a little heavy.
Using all his might, he managed to pull up... Peter!
Peter: Hey Brian.
Brian shrieked by surprise before Peter hit the "play" button on his boombox.

Chris approached Glory as she closed her locker.
Chris: Hey Glory.
Glory: What's up, Chris?
Chris: You borrowed my math homework yesterday, and I'm gonna need it back.
Glory: Ugh! And I just closed my locker too. Fine! Let me get it for you.
After putting in the combination, Glory opened her locker and Peter revealed to be inside.
Peter: Hey kids.
Chris, Glory, and their peers screamed before Peter pushed himself out of Glory's locker and hit the "play" button.

Lois and Stewie were next at the register.

The cashier then opened the register.
Douglas: Hey Cashier.
The cashier screamed as a fat man came out of the register and stood on the conveyor belt.

Lois: What the- Who are you?
Douglas: My name's Douglas.
Lois: Well Douglas, what're you doing in the cash register?
Douglas: Oh, I was just partyin' with my new best friend.
Peter came out and stood next to Douglas.

Peter hit the "play" button and he and Douglas started dancing.

The students came out of the shade and revealed themselves to be Adagio, Aria, and Sonata.
Adagio: We are.
Sunset: Canterlot High is a great school. You're really gonna love it.
Adagio: Oh yes!
The girls began following Sunset around the school.
Adagio: We really sense there's something... magical about this place.
French Narrator: The Next Day. Whoops! Sorry! Uh, Five Minutes Later.
Sunset: That's the science lab. Computer lab is in there. Oh!
She ran up to a flyer on the wall.
Sunset: We're having a big musical showcase this weekend.
The three girls walked up to the flyer.
Sunset: The whole school is pretty much rallying around it.
Adagio: (Gasp) A "musical" showcase?
They gave very scheming looks.
Sunset: I'm sure since you're new, Principal Celestia would let you sign up if you're interested.
Aria: We have been known to sing from time to time.
Sonata: Hellooo? We sing, like, all the time. It's how we get people to do what we want.
Adagio gave the silent signal as she growled.
Sonata: Wha-What did I say?
Adagio: What you meant to say was that being in a musical showcase sounds like a great way to meet other students.
Sonata: Ohhhh, yeah. Th-What she said I meant to say. That's what I meant. To say.
Aria: (Scoff) And what you would have said if you weren't the worst.
Sonata: You are!
Adagio moved in front of them.
Adagio: You'll have to excuse them. They're idiots.
Aria and Sonata: Hmph.
The girls stood around and were completely silent. Sunset then noticed the three red pendants around their necks.
Sunset: Ahehe. Those are pretty.
She started reaching for Adagio's necklace.
Sunset: Where did you-
Adagio quickly grabs Sunset's wrist, surprising her. She embarrasingly laughed as she let Sunset's wrist go.
Adagio: Sorry. These pendants mean an awful lot to us. We'd just hate for anything to happen to them.
She and Aria walked off while Sonata stayed behind. After Adagio pulled Sonata along with her, Sunset stayed and began to wonder what was up with those three girls.

In her room, Meg was brushing her hair in front of her mirror. As she brushes, Peter slowly moved his head around the corner. He crouched down so that he wouldn't get noticed in the mirror. He snuck inside and hid behind the bed before Meg looked over at her door and found nobody there. She turned back to her mirror as Peter moved his head above the bed. As Peter sneaks behind her, Meg placed her brush down and starts chewing on a cookie. Just then, Peter quickly stands up right beside her.
Peter: HEY MEG!
Meg screamed in shock and then starts choking on her cookie. As she backs away while clenching her throat, Peter plays his song again on his boombox and starts singing and dancing.

Meg moved around the room while she's choking.

Pinkie Pie: Or off like this?
She's shown to have leaves for eyebrows and carrots for tusks.

Rainbow Dash: Maybe we should just let her tell us.
Before Sunset spoke, a carrot fell from Pinkie's mouth.
Sunset: That's just it. I can't put my finger on it. They just acted sort of... strange around me. Maybe someone already talked to them. Told them about what I did. (Sigh) So much for making a good first impression.
Sunset dropped her head to the table.
Fluttershy: Uh-huh.
Fluttershy noticed the girls looking at her.
Fluttershy: Oh, that's probably not it.
Sunset lifted her head up and turned to Fluttershy as well. Fluttershy was so ashamed, she hid under the table. Outside the cafeteria, Adagio, Aria, and Sonata were planning their next move.
Adagio: This is it, girls. The moment we've been waiting for.
Sonata: Lunch?
Adagio facepalmed and groaned.
Adagio: The chance to get our true Equestrian magic back.
Sonata: Oh. Right.
Adagio looked at the students through the glass.
Adagio: Our voices are just strong enough to make them want something so badly, they'll fight to get it.
Aria: So we're just gonna do what we always do? Stir up some trouble and then feed off the negative energy? (Sarcasm) Some plan, Adagio.
Adagio: It won't be the same as the times before. There is Equestrian magic here. Their negative energy will give us the power we need to get this entire world to do our bidding.
Sonata: But we can get lunch after though, right?
Adagio widened her eyes.
Sonata: It's Taco Tuesday!
Adagio rushed in front of Sonata.

Adagio firmly grabbed Aria's collar.

Applejack: Don't worry, y'all. We'll let Principal Celestia know all about this, and those girls will be kicked to the curb in no time. Last thing she needs is another C.H.S. event almost ruined by some power-crazed lunatic.
AJ widened her eyes and turned to a guilty-feeling Sunset Shimmer.
Applejack: Er, no offense.
Sunset sighed and shook her head.
Sunset: None taken.
(Celestia's Office)
Principal Celestia looked through her window behind the blinds.
Celestia: Dark magic? I find that very hard to believe.
She went and sat down at her desk.
Celestia: Those girls came into my office earlier and were absolutely delightful.
Luna: Ugh! Perhaps Sunset Shimmer is just eager to make someone else out to be a bad element, so that her actions at the Fall Formal will become old news.
Sunset: I could see why you might think that, but
She was interrupted by Rainbow Dash, who rushed in front of the desk.
Rainbow Dash: That's not what's happening. We saw all of this go down in the cafeteria too.
Celestia: Yes, but isn't your band supposed to be part of the Musical Showcase?
The girls gave uneasy looks.
Rainbow Dash: Yes.
Luna: Perhaps you're all just worried that the Dazzlings will steal your spotlight.
Applejack: The "Dazzlings"?
Celestia: It's the name of their musical group. That's why they came by my office earlier today, to sign up for the Showcase. Even sang a little song to Vice Principal Luna and I.
Applejack: They did?
Celestia: Yes. And we think having a Battle of the Bands instead is a marvelous idea.
In that brief moment, Celestia and Luna's eyes glowed green, indicating that they've already fell under the Siren's spell. The girls then realized they were too late. Right outside the school, the girls were hanging around the statue. Pinkie Pie was up on top of it. Rainbow Dash was balancing her soccer ball on her head while Fluttershy allowed a ladybug to crawl on her finger.
Fluttershy: I can't believe they got to Principal Celestia and Vice Principal Luna too.
Rainbow Dash: They've gotten to everybody.
Pinkie Pie: Not everybody!
Applejack: Pinkie Pie's right. We were there when the Dazzlings were singin', and we weren't affected. It was like we were protected somehow.
Rainbow Dash: So let's take them down! It's not like we haven't tangled with dark magic before and totally whooped its sorry butt!
She caught the ball in her hand and then turned to Sunset.
Rainbow Dash: Uh, no offense.
Sunset: (Sigh) None taken... again.
Fluttershy: But that was when Twilight and the others were here. There may be some kind of magic inside us, but it only comes out when we play music.
The ladybug flew away.
Fluttershy: I sure don't know how to use it to... whoop anybody's butt.
Rarity sat by the statue and did her nails.
Rarity: (Sigh) If only we could get a message to Twilight. Maybe she could tell us how to break the spell the Dazzlings have cast on our friends.
Rainbow Dash: Well, that's not gonna happen. The portal's closed.
Rainbow proved her point by throwing her ball at the closed portal. Rarity avoided the ball, but then got some nail-polish on her arm, causing her to gasp.
Rainbow Dash: And I get the feeling they don't exactly have cell phones where she's from.
Rarity took out a rag and began wiping the nail-polish off her arm.
Rainbow Dash: Then there's Glory's little brother, Stewie. That smart kid's got like gadgets and stuff that helps him, Glory, and Brian travel across dimensions, right? If we can't let Twilight know what's going on, she won't be able to contact them.
Rainbow balanced the soccer ball on her head again.
Rainbow Dash: So we pretty much hit a dead end.
Sunset began thinking until she thought of an idea.
Sunset: I may have an idea how we can get in touch with them.
After some time, the girls followed Sunset to her locker. She searched her locker until she pulled out a book.
Sunset: When I was Princess Celestia's student back in Equestria, she gave me this.
She wiped some dust off of it.
Sunset: Even after I abandoned my studies, I held onto it. Deep down, I guess I knew I was making a big mistake...
She flipped through the pages until she got to an unwritten one.
Sunset: ...and I wanted to still have a way to reach out to her. Maybe it still works.
Rarity: That's a book, darling. What do you mean, "maybe still works"?
Sunset: It used to be that if I wrote something here, it would appear in the pages of a book back in Princess Celestia's library. I get a message to her, she can get a message to Princess Twilight, and then Twilight'll get a message to Glory and the others.
Rainbow Dash: So what are you waiting for?
Rainbow offered Sunset a pen.
Rainbow Dash: Get to writing!
Sunset stood silent for a second until she grabbed the pen.
Sunset: (Sigh) Been a long time since I've written these words.
She began writing.
Sunset: 'Dear Princess Celestia...'
The camera zooms in on the words, revealing a colorful swirly pathway to Ponyville.
(Equestria)
Inside Twilight's castle, she and her friends were pretty much unwinding. Twilight and Spike were reading, Rarity was polishing her throne... while eyeballing Akihiko's throne, and Pinkie Pie was blowing up balloons. Fluttershy and Applejack were busy pushing a crate. A delivery pony came in the throne room with a wagon full of books.
Delivery Pony: Excuse me, Princess. Where do you want all these books from Princess Celestia?
Twilight: The library.
She pointed to the exit/entrance.
Twilight: Third door on the left.
The delivery pony noticed one of his books glowing.
Delivery Pony: Even this one that's glowin' and vibratin'?
Twilight noticed the book and levitated it toward her. She opened the book and read what's inside as her friends joined her.
Fluttershy: What is it, Twilight?
Twilight: It looks like... a message to Princess Celestia from my friends at Canterlot High.
Rarity: How is that even possible?
Twilight: I have no idea, but... it sounds like they need my help.
In the castle's library, Twilight levitated a book off the shelf and brought it towards her and placed it on a table.
Twilight: The way Sunset Shimmer described them, I think these new girls sound an awful lot like... the sirens.
Pinkie Pie: Not the sirens!
She whispered over to Fluttershy.
Pinkie Pie: (Whisper) I don't actually know what that is.
Twilight flipped through the pages until she found one with a picture of three creatures.
Twilight: The sirens were three beautiful, but dangerous creatures who had the power to charm ponies with their music. But to maintain this power, they had to feed on the negativity and distrust of others. The more of this negative energy they consumed, the stronger their voices became, and the farther they could spread their dark magic.
Fluttershy: I don't think I like this story very much.
Twilight: If the sirens had their way, they would have divided and conquered all of Equestria. But a certain Star Swirl the Bearded wasn't having it. Rumor has it he found a way to banish them to another world, one where he believed their magic power would be lost. That world must have been the one where my Canterlot High friends live.
Applejack: But Star Swirl must have sent them there ages ago. How come they're just surfacin' now?
Twilight: I don't know.
She used her magic to flip the page.
Twilight: But if my hunch is right, and it is the sirens who have come to Canterlot High, this spell they've cast is just the beginning.
She used her magic to close the book.
Twilight: My friends need me. I have to get back to them.
She began walking away, but Rainbow Dash flew in to stop her.
Rainbow Dash: I hate to burst your bubble, Twilight, but the connection between their world and Equestria will still be totally cut off for a super long time.
Pinkie Pie rushed in between them.
Pinkie Pie: Okay, first of all, if there was bubble-blowing going on, why wasn't I told about it?! And secondly, if the connection is totally cut off, how was Sunset Shimmer able to get a message to Twilight?
Twilight realized something and gasped.
Twilight: Pinkie, you're a genius!
She walked off.
Pinkie Pie: Yeah, I get that a lot.
She grabbed Rainbow Dash and pulled her close to her.
Pinkie Pie: Now about those bubbles...
Twilight came back with a box of scrolls. She placed a scroll on the table and levitated a quill as Pinkie Pie and Rainbow Dash joined their friends.
Rainbow Dash: What's all this, Twilight?
Twilight: The Dimension Scrolls Princess Celestia gave to me before we went to the Crystal Empire for the first time.
Her friends gave each other smiles.
Applejack: Does this mean what ah think it means?
Twilight nodded.
Twilight: Mhm. If my Canterlot High friends and I are gonna defeat the sirens, we're gonna need all the help we can get.
The camera slowly zooms out as she begins to write.
Twilight: 'Dear The Dark Sky Within Us...'
(Griffin House)
The trio were laying on their backs on the floor in Stewie's room. They were staring up at the ceiling with bloodshot eyes while Peter's song plays everywhere around town and inside the house.

Stewie let out a long groan, Brian let out a sigh, and Glory's eyes returned to normal when she thought of an idea.
Glory: Wait a minute.
She sat up.
Glory: Why can't we just go to another universe until the three days go by?
Stewie and Brian's eyes suddenly returned to normal before they stood up.
Stewie: Oh my God! How stupid are we? Why didn't we think of this earlier? Oh my God! We're... we're like the dumbest of the dumb. We're like Dumb and Dumber and Dumbest!
Glory smirked.
Glory: Says the Element of "Intelligence".
Stewie: Hey, hey...
He pointed at her.
Stewie: Not funny, Sweet Cheeks.
Brian looked at his ring.
Brian: Hey, speaking of which, my Element's flashing.
Stewie: Ooh, really?
Stewie and Glory looked at Brian's ring. It's gem was indeed flashing. Before they knew it, their Elements were flashing too. Stewie looked at his bracelet while Glory looked down at her belt.
Glory: Okay, something's definitely up with our Elements.
There was a knock on Stewie's window, and coming through it was Penelope.
Penelope: Hello, everyone.
Akihiko popped his head around the corner.
Akihiko: Something's going on here.
Glory widened her eyes.
Glory: (Gasp) Holy Hell! It's Peter Parker's pervy side.
Akihiko smirked.
Akihiko: Ha! Ha! Ha! Very funny, but cute.
Akihiko came in through the window and then closed it. Penelope noticed the trio's Elements flashing.
Penelope: I see that your Elements are reacting to something as well.
Stewie: As well?
Penelope held up her necklace in her hand and its gem was flashing. Akihiko joined the group.
Akihiko: And it's not just you guys.
He held up his left wrist where his bangle was.
Akihiko: My Element's glowing too.
Stewie: What the deuce is going on here?
Suddenly, their Elements were shooting beams of magic from their gems. The beams collided right above them.
Stewie: Is this a laser light show? If so, we should sold tickets.
The beams stopped and then a scroll magically appeared. The scroll slowly descended as Glory reached for it. She grabbed it, opened it, and began reading it.
Brian: What is it, Glory?
Glory: It's... a letter from Twilight. According to this message... there's an emergency going on at Canterlot High.
Brian: Wait a minute. Canterlot High?
Penelope: That's where Sunset Shimmer goes to school, correct?
Glory: Yeah!
Stewie squinted his eyes and tilted his head.
Stewie: You don't suppose Sunset Shimmer is up to no good again, do you?
Glory shook her head.
Glory: No, I don't think so, Stewie. Says Twilight'll explain everything to us as soon as we get there.
Brian: Agh, thank God! Now we know where to go for the next few days.
Stewie nodded.
Stewie: Alright, let's pack our things and head off to Equestria.
Glory: Hold your horses, Stewie.
Stewie looked down and picked up a couple of tiny stuff horses.
Glory: Okay, now that you're holding your horses, let's wait a second.
French Narrator: One Second Later.
Glory: Okay, now that we've waited a second...
She held the letter close to her.
Glory: ...listen to this. She wants us to go straight to Canterlot High and let our friends know she'll be on her way there. I guess she must've learned how to jump between universes like we do. Sounds like we're going using your technology again, Stewie.
Akihiko: It'll take us a while to pack up our things. So to save time, we'll do it off-screen while a time card says "20 Seconds Later".
Stewie: You mean we're not going to have another packing clothes montage like we've been through before we went to Tokyo?
Akihiko: Hell no we're not going through another montage. Who do you think you are? Rocky Balboa?
The 20 second time card appeared on the screen. After it went away, the group placed their last few bags into Stewie's hypercube.
Stewie: Alright, that's everything.
He placed the hypercube into his blue backpack while Glory strapped Stewie's diaper bag over her shoulder.
Glory: Okay, we've got clothes for a few days... we've got your diaper bag... we've got our instruments... we've got our Elements...
Brian, Glory, Penelope, and Akihiko looked at their Elements of Harmony. Stewie was the last one to look at his after placing his backpack on.
Glory: Okay, I think we're ready to go.
Penelope: Um, you sure we have to go? I'm just now starting to worry about everybody thinking we go missing sometimes.
Glory: This time won't be any different, Penelope. Hardly anyone cares about where we are when we go on our adventures. It makes me wonder even more about why I even bother going to school.
Glory chuckled a little bit and shook her head.
Glory: You'd think they would've expelled me by now.
(Canterlot High)
Sunset and the others were outside by the school statue waiting for Twilight and the trio to show up. As they waited, Fluttershy spotted a beautiful bird in the sky. She was so happy, she took a picture of it with her camera.
Rainbow Dash: (Sigh) You sure they're coming?
Sunset shrugged.
Sunset: I hope so.
Suddenly, Glory and the others appeared in the sky. The five screamed as they were falling. The girls looked up and watched them fall down. The girls closed their eyes and cringed when the five hit the ground. The girls slowly opened their eyes and found that the five have landed flat on the ground.
Stewie: Ow!
The trio pushed themselves off the ground and shook some dirt off of them.
Glory: So much for getting our deposits back for these shoes.
Stewie took his return pad and his multiverse remote and placed them in his backpack.
Stewie: Don't forget about that shirt you rented two days ago.
Glory facepalmed.
Glory: Yeah, that too. Thanks for the reminder.
The Rainbooms: Glory!
The trio looked up ahead and found the girls by the statue. Glory smiled and waved.
Glory: Hey!
The trio waved as they ran up to the girls. After reaching The Rainbooms, everyone engaged in a group hug. Sunset stayed back with a very nervous look on her face. The Rainbooms and the trio chattered with excitement after breaking up the hug. Sunset slowly walked up behind her friends.
Sunset: Uh...
The Rainbooms heard her and made some room for her to be seen by the trio. Sunset stepped forward and gave a nervous smile and wave.
Sunset: Hey!
Brian and Stewie gave straight faces.
Stewie: Heeey!
Brian: Heeey!
Glory, nevertheless, smiled and raised her hand.
Glory: Yo!
Sunset became surprised when Glory seemed happy to see her. Penelope recovered from the impact and wiped some dirt off her.
Glory: So how are things goin' for you, Sunset?
Sunset: I'm... managing.
Glory heard Penelope moaning.
Glory: Oh yeah.
She turned to Penelope, who was walking towards the group.
Glory: Girls, this is Penelope. She's another little genius like Stewie.
Penelope continued to rub her head.
Penelope: Hello, everyone.
While everyone else was saying hello, Fluttershy looked worried for Penelope.
Fluttershy: Oh!
She kneeled down and picked up Penelope in her arms.
Fluttershy: You poor little girl! Are you all right?
Penelope: No need to worry about me. I may be a small child, but I'm as tough as they come.
She looked over to Akihiko.
Penelope: Unlike a certain somebody over there.
They all turned to Akihiko, whose face was flat on the ground. He struggled to push himself up, but was too hurt. So he raised his right hand up.
Akihiko: A little help?
Penelope: Excuse me a moment.
Penelope hopped out of Fluttershy's arms and went over to Akihiko along with Stewie and Brian. Glory watched them go help Akihiko out.
Rainbow Dash: So Glory...
Glory turned back to the girls.
Rainbow Dash: I'm guessing you're here because of Twilight, right?
Glory nodded her head.
Glory: Oh yeah! Twilight sent us a letter. She wanted us to let you girls know that she's on her way here... and she'll explain everything about what's been going on at your school.
The girls chattered with excitement until they heard Akihiko groaning. They spotted him walking over to them while rubbing the left side of his face.
Glory: You okay?
Akihiko: Yeeeaah!
He stopped next to Glory, uncovered his face, and faced Glory.
Akihiko: The next time we go universe traveling, I'm bringing me a parachute.
Glory: Okay. Can you even afford one?
Akihiko: I didn't say anything about buying one.
He spotted Sunset Shimmer right in front of him and the other five girls behind her. He then gave a little wave with a smile.
Akihiko: Oh, hey!
And with that, Sunset and the others were completely stunned. Upon seeing Akihiko with widened eyes, the girls stood completely still with their cheeks glowing red. The girls behind Sunset were mumbling quietly.
Sunset: So... Glory, aheh... who's this?
Glory: Oh, Sunset, this is Akihiko. Just like Penelope, he's from my world as well. Akihiko, this is Sunset Shimmer.
Akihiko: Ah!
He offered his hand.
Akihiko: Nice to meet you, Sunset.
Sunset was nervous to shake his hand. Regardless, she quickly grabbed it and shook it.
Sunset: Nice to meet you too.
Akihiko closed his eyes with a bit of a frown.
Akihiko: You know, Glory told me everything about you. It's almost awkward to finally meet you in person.
Sunset looked shocked before embarrassingly looking away while rubbing the back of her head.
Sunset: Oh. She did?
Akihiko: Mhm.
He opened his eyes with a smile.
Akihiko: But it's all good now. As long as you're okay with her, you're okay with me.
Sunset gave a blushing smile.
Sunset: Thanks.
Glory wrapped her arm around Sunset.
Glory: By the way, you still kinda owe Stewie an apology for having Snips and Snails kidnap him.
Sunset: Oh. Right.
She slowly made her way around Akihiko.
Sunset: Ex... cuse me.
She continues to blush as she makes her way to Stewie. Meanwhile, Akihiko turned to the five girls, who were still blushing to see him.
Akihiko: Hey Glory, who are those girls over there?
Glory: Those girls are the human counterparts of our friends in Equestria. They have the same names here as our friends do in Equestria.
Akihiko: I see. Well, I'm gonna go introduce myself.
He walked his way to the girls and then stopped right in front of them.
Akihiko: Hey girls. My name's Akihiko. Just wanna say it's an honor to meet you all.
He walked up to Applejack.
Akihiko: You must be Applejack.
He offered a handshake.
Akihiko: It's great to meet you.
AJ rubbed her head and then rapidly shook Akihiko's hand.
Applejack: H-Howdy, pardn'r.
She realized what she was doing and immediately stopped shaking his hand. Akihiko looked at his hand and saw it pumping.
Akihiko: Wow! You've got a strong grip, AJ! Cool!
AJ blushed and slightly looked away with a smile as Akihiko moved over to Pinkie Pie.
Akihiko: I definitely recognize you.
He offered his hand.
Akihiko: You're Pinkie Pie.
Pinkie embarrassingly giggled before shaking Akihiko's hand.
Pinkie Pie: Y-Yep. Ahehe. That's my name. Don't wear it out.
Akihiko: No problem.
He moved onto Fluttershy.
Akihiko: I'm gonna assume you're the Fluttershy of this world.
He offered his hand again.
Akihiko: Hi.
Fluttershy blushed and slightly looked away, feeling too embarrassed to even look at Akihiko. She slowly reached for Akihiko's hand, grabbed it, and slowly shook it.
Fluttershy: Um... h-hello.
Akihiko could tell that she was too shy.
Akihiko: Uh... right.
He then walked in front of Rainbow Dash.
Akihiko: You must be Rainbow Dash, right?
He offered his hand.
Akihiko: I can already tell you're just as incredibly awesome as the pony Rainbow Dash in Equestria.
RD quickly widened her eyes and blushed after receiving Akihiko's compliment. She embarrassingly laughed as she rubbed the back of her head.
Rainbow Dash: Well I... don't wanna brag about it or anything...
She took his hand and shook it.
Rainbow Dash: But it's true. Nice to meet cha.
Akihiko: You too.
And he finally moved on over to Rarity.
Akihiko: And... you must be Rarity.
Rarity was shown to have sparkles in her eyes when she started gazing at Akihiko.
Rarity: Why...
She blushed, smiled, and nodded.
Rarity: Yes. I am.
Akihiko closed his eyes and smirked.
Akihiko: Hmph. I thought so.
He offered his hand once more.
Akihiko: It's a pleasure to meet you, Rarity.
Rarity: No, no, no, darling.
Without hesitation, she grabbed his hand.
Rarity: The pleasure's all mine.
She concluded with the bottom of her lip lightly bitten and her eyes closed halfway. Akihiko gave a light blush and gave Rarity a warm smile.
(Equestria)
Back in Twilight's castle, she had just finished making a "few adjustments" to the mirror with wires and other mechanical stuff.
Twilight: And the interval between the two points is defined as the square root of the sum of the squares of the separation between the points along three spatial dimensions.
She looked back at her friends, who looked totally confused, except for Pinkie Pie.
Spike: Say what now?
Pinkie Pie: Duh!
She pointed towards the book.
Pinkie Pie: She's gonna take the magic in here...
She moved behind the mirror.
Pinkie Pie: ...and put it in there. That'll make the portal open up so that whenever she wants to, she can go from here to there.
She repeatedly switched from the book to the mirror.
Pinkie Pie: There to here. Here to there. Here there! Here there! Here-
Applejack: We get the idea!
Pinkie Pie trotted along away from the mirror.
Twilight: Now to see if it actually works.
Using her magic, Twilight picked up the book and placed it on top of the mirror. After being used as a battery, the book brought out magic, which was being transferred throughout the machine.
Ponies and Spike: Ooooh!
And soon enough, in a flash of light, the portal to the human world was open.
Ponies and Spike: Ahhhhh!
Applejack: Don't suppose we could join you this time around?
Twilight: Better not. It could make things pretty confusing if Canterlot High all of a sudden had two of all of you.
Her friends glanced at each other and nodded and chatted in agreement.
Spike: But I still get to go, right? There isn't another one of me at Canterlot High. And you never know if you might need your trusty assistant.
Twilight: Mm-hmm.
She walked over to her friends.
Spike: Yes!
Twilight: We won't be gone long.
Twilight and her friends engaged in a farewell group hug. After saying their goodbyes, Pinkie Pie was the last one let Twilight go. Twilight then stood next to Spike.
Twilight: Ready, Spike?
Spike cracked his claws, breathed out, and got into a runner's position.
Spike: Ready!
Twilight got into position as well. They both charged into the portal with Spike in the lead and Twilight going in second.
(Canterlot High)
While Sunset and the other girls were hanging around the statue, Akihiko was sitting up and waited patiently for Twilight's arrival. Next to Akihiko were the other members of The Dark Sky Within Us, who were laying on the grass and staring up at the sky.
Stewie: You know, Heaven is right there above the clouds, correct? Now-Now what do you suppose goes on up there when it rains? Does God like... cry or something and forces us to drown in his own tears?
Penelope: Even God couldn't possibly cry all over a whole city. Everyone else up there probably joins him into doing so.
Glory: Come on. Anything can happen up there that causes rain. Who knows? It's probably everyone up there crying, or they're sweating after running marathons, or maybe even...
The four looked at each other and then back to the sky.
Glory: Uh, how 'bout we just find shapes in the clouds instead?
They chatted in agreement.
Stewie: Oh look! A rabbit!
Up on the statue, Applejack and Pinkie Pie were playing cards. Applejack revealed to have four Ace's, but a confident Pinkie Pie had four Jack's. Pinkie was so proud, she closed her eyes and crossed her arms.
Pinkie Pie then opened her left eye and looked over at Akihiko, who just sat on the grass. With a bored look on his face, Akihiko looked over at Pinkie Pie. Pinkie looked so surprised when she noticed Akihiko looking at her. With a blushing look and a little smile, Pinkie slowly turned away while covering her face with her hands.
With the same bored look, Akihiko then turned to Applejack. AJ was so embarrassed, she blushed and slid her hat in front of her face.
After raising an eyebrow, Akihiko looked down and looked over at Fluttershy. After becoming surprised, Fluttershy blushed and quickly hid behind the statue and from Akihiko's sight. Second later, she slowly moved her eyes around the corner.
Akihiko then turned his attention to Rarity. After becoming surprised, Rarity closed her eyes and blushed with a smile. She then placed her hand under her chin and waved her fingers at Akihiko. Akihiko noticed this and gave a little wave back at her.
After Akihiko turned to Sunset Shimmer, Sunset rapidly looked around while she blushes. She then angled her knees even more to hide her face behind them.
Akihiko then looked over at Rainbow Dash. Rainbow widened her eyes as she blushes, and in just a quick second, Rainbow Dash quickly looked away. She then gave a little smile as her cheeks became redder.
Akihiko let out a sigh and turned to Glory.
Akihiko: What's taking Twilight so long?
Glory: I dunno. She's probably having some trouble coming here.
Penelope: I am curious about something. How exactly is Twilight planning to get here anyway?
Stewie sat up.
Stewie: Well if I were to hazard a guess, I would say she's making a few modifications to the magic mirror.
Akihiko: A what?
Brian sat up.
Brian: There's this magic mirror in Equestria that let's you come to this world.
He pointed at the statue.
Brian: And the only way back there is through that statue.
Akihiko turned to the statue and then stood up. As he makes his way to the statue, the girls quickly looked away and pretend not to notice him. After making it to the statue, Akihiko took his index finger and knocked on the part where the portal should be.
Akihiko: Hm. Doesn't seem to wo-
Akihiko was cut off by Twilight and Spike flying out of the portal. They all spotted Twilight crashing into Akihiko. They both landed on the ground and Twilight was laying on top of Akihiko's chest.
The Rainbooms: Twilight!
Twilight pushed herself up and rubbed her head. She then looked back at her friends.
Twilight: I'm back.
She turned to Akihiko after hearing him grunt in pain.
Akihiko: Well that hurt.
Twilight: Akihiko! You're-
Twilight widened her eyes when she realized how close she was to him, being on top of him and everything.
Twilight: Oh my gosh!
With blushing red cheeks, Twilight instantly backed away from him a little bit, allowing Akihiko to sit up. He then started rubbing his head, trying to get rid of the pain.
Twilight: I'm so sorry!
She rubbed the back of her head.
Twilight: I-I didn't know you were there. I-
Akihiko stopped rubbing his head and let out a sigh before opening his eyes.
Akihiko: It's cool, Twi- Oh my God!
Twilight: What is it?
Akihiko: You're... you're... human!
Twilight stared at Akihiko for a second before looking at her right hand. She then looked at her left hand.
Twilight: Heh. I guess I am again.
They both noticed Sunset Shimmer close to them. She extended her hand out to help Twilight up. Twilight felt a little uneasy as first, but then Twilight accepted Sunset's hand and got back up. Akihiko got back up on his own. He stood by Sunset while everyone else ran up to Twilight and engaged in a group hug.
Twilight: Everyone, I've got some bad news about those new girls.
Her friends gave worried reactions.
(Sweet Shoppe)
Sitting on a green couch was Pinkie Pie, who had just got back with Twilight's drink, Twilight, Rarity, and Sunset. On the other side of the table was Penelope in Glory's lap, Applejack, Akihiko, Spike in Fluttershy's lap, Brian, Rainbow Dash, and Stewie in his highchair. After Twilight explained the Sirens to everyone, Stewie was explaining how they got to this world.
Stewie: And when Fluttershy snapped a picture, the blinding flash from her camera was sent our way. And I couldn't control our landing, because I spent the next few seconds stumbling around trying to see.
Glory: You didn't stumble about. While we were crashing here, you were just hugging on to me and saying, "Protect me, Glory. Protect me."
Stewie pointed his finger at Glory.
Stewie: Nobody had to know that.
Everyone had a laugh after Stewie said that.
Applejack: Speaking of Flash, a certain blue-haired guitar player with that name was just askin' about you, Twilight.
Twilight widened her eyes.
Twilight: Flash Sentry was asking about me?!
She blushed and twirled strands of her hair around. She noticed her friends looking at her with smirks before clearing her throat.
Twilight: Isn't that nice?
She then sips her milkshake.
Rarity: Perhaps you would give us just the slightest bit of gossip from your world?
Spike: She's got an official title now.
Spike imitated fanfare using a doggy biscuit.
Spike: The Princess of Friendship!
Sunset: Wow! That's really impressive! Guess you really were Princess Celestia's prized pupil.
Spike: She's even got her own castle.
Rarity grabbed Twilight's shoulders, which accidentally spilled some of Twilight's milkshake onto Twilight's shirt.
Rarity: A castle?! You have your own castle?! Eh...
She noticed her friends looking at her. She even glanced at Akihiko, who had his eyes closed, giggled quietly with a smirk, and shook his head. Rarity blushed and cleared her throat.
Rarity: Ooh, uh, lovely.
She took a cloth and cleaned Twilight's shirt.
Twilight: Well that's not all that has happened lately. Glory and the others are the bearers of five new Elements of Harmony.
Glory stood up carrying Penelope to show her belt.
Twilight: Passion.
Penelope presented her necklace.
Twilight: Wisdom.
Stewie raised his right wrist to show his bracelet.
Twilight: Intelligence.
Brian showed the ring on his right index finger.
Twilight: Courage.
Akihiko lifted his left wrist and revealed his bangle.
Twilight: And Humility.
The girls stared at the five Elements.
The Rainbooms: Ooooh!
Pinkie Pie: Sparkley!
Akihiko: Yeah, they are.
Akihiko looked at his bangle.
Akihiko: According to Princess Celestia, we have to take good care of them because they mean a lot to us than we know. That's why we're not taking them off.
Brian: Not to mention we can use them to go to Equestria whenever we want.
Sunset: Wow! You guys must be very lucky.
Glory can tell that Sunset was a little upset that she didn't represent any Element.
Glory: Yeeeaahh!
Twilight: So what's new here? I mean, besides your school becoming the target of dangerous magical creatures from Equestria?
Rainbow Dash: Yeah, so...
She pulled out her phone.
Rainbow Dash: That isn't exactly the only strange thing that's happened since you guys left.
Rainbow Dash presented what happened on her phone. It showed Rainbow Dash playing guitar. And while she was playing, some magic made her grow pony ears, wings, and longer hair.
Rainbow Dash: Pretty sweet, huh? It happens to all of us when we play.
She placed her feet on the table and her hands behind her head.
Stewie: You too?
They turned to Stewie.
Rainbow Dash: What do you mean, Stewie?
Stewie: Well the last time we were here, we grew angel wings. That's what's always been happening to us whenever we play music.
Sunset: You guys play music?
Penelope: Indeed we do. The five of us have been a band for quite some time now, and the whole angel wings are always there.
Pinkie Pie: You guys are a band?!
Glory: Yeah, sorry I neglected to mention the last time I was here.
They turned to Glory.
Glory: Yes. We're a band known as The Dark Sky Within Us.
Rainbow's jaw dropped.
Rainbow Dash: What!?
Glory sheepishly rubbed her head.
Glory: Again. Sorry.
Sunset: You guys always grew angel wings, right? How did that happen?
Brian: Twilight thinks we carried Equestrian Magic within us when we left Equestria, and then we somehow passed it on to Akihiko and Penelope. That's how we grow our wings when we play.
Glory: But this case is completely different from ours. So what's up with that?
Twilight: Hmm.
Twilight placed her milkshake on the table.
Twilight: My crown was returned to Equestria, but some of its magic must have remained here at Canterlot High. Now that we're all back together, we can use that magic on the sirens. Just like when we were able to use it on Sunset Shimmer when she turned into that horrifyingly awful winged monster!
Twilight realized what she said and looked over at Sunset.
Twilight: No offense.
Sunset looked away and folded her arms while she spoke in a disgruntled tone.
Sunset: None taken.
She smiled a bit.
Sunset: Heh. I'm used to it.
Rainbow Dash: They'll never even know what hit 'em!
Rainbow stood up and did a few karate moves. This went on until Applejack caught Rainbow's fist.
Applejack: We've got nothin' to worry about now that Twilight and the others are back.
Fluttershy gave a worried look.
Fluttershy: Oh, I'm pretty sure I could find something to worry about.
Her mood brightened up.
Fluttershy: But it won't be the sirens.
Twilight: The sooner we do this, the better. Any idea where the Dazzlings might be?
Since nobody had a clue, Pinkie Pie waved her hand around, gaining their attention. Before she could talk, she was finishing drink her milkshake first. Akihiko checked his watch before Pinkie Pie finally finished. She let out a sigh after that. She then picked up her straw and waved it around.
Pinkie Pie: There's a big party tonight for all the bands who signed up to be in the showcase! That would include the Dazzlings.
She turned to Glory.
Pinkie Pie: And Glory, if you want, you guys can sign up too before the party's over.
Glory: But we don't even go to your school, Pinkie Pie. Is that allowed?
Pinkie nodded.
Pinkie Pie: Uh-huh!
She concluded by placing the end of her straw in her mouth, which caused some chocolate to be spilled on her cheek. Twilight smiled and proceeded to clean the chocolate stain off Pinkie's cheek.
Twilight: Looks like we've got a party to crash.
Pinkie Pie: (Squee)
Glory was giving this some thought.
Glory: What do you guys think? Should we sign up?
Brian: Aw yeah! Sounds great.
Stewie: Ooh yes!
Akihiko shrugged.
Akihiko: Sounds good to me.
Penelope: Well, I suppose participating in the showcase wouldn't hurt.
Glory stood up.
Glory: Okay. We'll do it. Let's go sign up.
Applejack: I hate to break it to ya...
They all turned to AJ.
Applejack: ...but the party doesn't start for like another thirty minutes.
Stewie: Ugh! Great! What're we supposed to do in the meantime?
Penelope: Hmm. Well, I suppose we could enlighten our friends with a song.
Sunset: A song?
Twilight: That's a great idea! You girls should definitely see these guys play. They're amazing!
The girls gave bright smiles except for Rainbow Dash, who sat up in her chair.
Rainbow Dash: Uh, yeah. I'm sure they're good. Not that I'm implying we're better or anything...
She laid back with her hands behind her head with a confident smile.
Rainbow Dash: ...but sure. Show us what you've got.
Glory: No problem. Come on guys.
And with that, The Dark Sky Within Us made their way to the biggest space in the shop. Stewie pushed a button on the hypercube and then the instruments suddenly appeared. This action surprised almost everyone in the shop. Soon enough, the five got to their instruments.
They were ready to perform Amanda Lee's cover of the Sword Art Online opening song "Innocence" originally by Eir Aoi. Stewie and Penelope were both on keyboard, Brian on the drums, Akihiko on bass, and Glory on Guitar and vocals. Stewie and Penelope start off the song with keyboard notes.
"The feelings I kept deep inside are now screaming at the top of their lungs"
The other instruments joined in.
"Trying to voice our now infinite vooow"
The five began playing together at once. While Twilight was smiling, the other girls were a bit surprised by how well the music was being played, and by how well Glory was singing. Soon enough, only the keyboard was being played.
"I've wandered all my life, relying..."
The other instruments joined in again.
"...on a whim and that has led me astraaay"
Glory stopped playing her guitar.
"Light has become my foe, defying..."
She played her guitar again.
"...everything while my future fades awaaay"
Now they were even more surprised, including Spike.
"Tonight the moon invites me to the night sky"
"But my lips hesitate to voice a reply"
"But even so, I'm screaming from the depths of my heaaart"
They created four beats, two beats at a time before playing again. Glory and Akihiko nod their heads while playing their guitar and bass.
"The feelings I kept deep inside are now screaming at the top of their lungs"

Twilight's friends were completely shocked, mostly Rainbow Dash. She had her jaw dropped. Vinyl Scratch was there and she watched the performance after lifting her shades up.
"My strength has brought me this far, but if I only had a little bit mooore"
"My aim would be an endless blue sky bound byyy no limitations at aaall"
Glory opened her eyes.
"And when tomorrow reaches out once agaaain"
"I'll hear its beckoning caaall"
As they continue to play music, they began showing their white auras around their bodies. This took mostly Sunset by surprise. Once again, they stopped playing except for Stewie and Penelope.
"I'll listen to my heart whenever..."
The drums, guitar, and bass joined in once again.
"...I'm in doubt since it's never skipped a beeeat"
While Mrs. Cake was enjoying the song, Mr. Cake decided to turn off the lights so that it could be more fitting for the performance.
"While searching for our dreams, I'll never..."
Akihiko looked over at the girls with a smile, who all blushed. Sunset was the last to blush before looking away with a smile.
"...miss a step because you're guiding my feeet"
Outside the shop, a couple of boys were walking by when they heard the music. They then planted their faces on the window to look inside.
"Tonight the light that's shining in the night sky"
The boys looked at each other before running for the door.
"Fills me with pain because I know I can't fly"
They opened the doors and saw the band performing, but mostly Glory singing. When they saw Glory, their mouths were open.
"But even so, I'm still yearning from the depths of my heaaart"
To the beat, they instantly grew their angel wings. First Stewie, then Penelope, then Brian, and then Akihiko. Glory grew her wings last when she started singing again.
"The world that was so dark around me has been transformed by pure blinding light"
The girls except Twilight were surprised by their angel wings growing.
"Always and forever shining on meee"
Spike's mouth was open while the boys smiled and ran up close to Glory.
"You need a dreamer's heart in order to find the sky that's waiting for yooouu"
The girls noticed the boys running up to Glory and could tell they've already become fanboys.
"And when the doubt inside is fading awaaay, the sky will open for yooouu"
Glory was the only one playing, followed by Brian's light touch on the cymbals. The bass and the keyboard joined in before the drums picked up the pace. They've all played their instruments at once, creating the most beautiful music everyone's ever heard. Vinyl nods her head to the song. One boy took a picture with his camera, which Rainbow Dash noticed. She also noticed her friends smiling and enjoying the song. After Brian hit the cymbals, only the keyboard was being played.
"Inside my heart and memory you linger"
"I'll never let this chance slip through my fingers"
The others joined in again.
"You give me strength so if I feel I can't break throoough"
"I'll think of yooouu"
They played the four beats again.
"If somehow light becomes your foe and you're once again immersed in the dark"

Spike then had hearts in his eyes.
"The feelings I kept deep inside will call destiny to open the skiiies"
"And as the heavens call out, I know I'll fiiind the path that leads me to you"
There had been more boys coming into the shop, creating a large crowd.
"The feelings I kept deep inside are now screaming at the top of their lungs"

While everyone was enjoying Glory's band, Rainbow Dash still had her jaw dropped.

Mr. and Mrs. Cake grew happier smiles.
"And when tomorrow reaches out once agaaain"

The band played their instruments all at once again, creating the beautiful music for everyone's ears. Akihiko and Brian smiled. Stewie and Penelope faced each other with smiles as they continue to play. Glory smiled and closed her eyes before they all stopped playing, allowing the music to fade out. Everybody in the shop cheered for the wonderful performance. Even a few fanboys gave a few loud whistles. Mr. Cake turned on the lights as the five band members stood side by side. They held each other hands and gave a group bow. The others waved while Glory blew a few kisses.
Sunset: You were right, Twilight. They are amazing!
Twilight chuckled.
Twilight: I told you.
Rarity: Why... that was simply fabulous!
Applejack: Darn tootin'! Why, I've never heard any song like that before.
Fluttershy: They're really good!
Spike had his eyes closed halfway as he saw Glory.
Spike: Uh-huh!
He concluded with his tongue hanging out.
Pinkie Pie: Was that song great or what, Rainbow Dash?
RD snapped out of it.
Rainbow Dash: Huh? O-Oh yeah!
She looked away with an unhappy look.
Rainbow Dash: (Sarcasm) Reeeeally great.
Glory: Thank you, everyone.
Three boys stood in front of Glory.
Boy #1: Wow, you were totally awesome! Are you dating anyone?
Boy #2: Would you go out with me sometime?
Another boy presented a flower.
Boy #3: Wanna hang?
Glory just stood there.
Glory: Uh...
Sunset: Looks like the boys are all over Glory.
Rarity: Honestly. I'm surprised there aren't that many boys all over us whenever we play.
With folded arms, Rainbow Dash sighed through her nose. Glory then held out her hands.
Glory: Listen guys. I'm flattered, really... but...
She went by Akihiko's side.
Glory: I'm sorry.
She placed a hand on his shoulder.
Glory: My bass player is my boyfriend.
Boys: What?!
The Rainbooms: What?!
Stewie: What?!
Penelope, Brian, and a few boys turned to Stewie.
Stewie: It sounds better three times. Don't judge me. That's how it goes.
The boys awwed in disappointment as they made their way out of the shop. The band's angel wings soon disappeared. Meanwhile, the girls looked surprised.
Sunset: So... those two are... dating?
Twilight: Well, yes. Glory and Akihiko are boyfriend and girlfriend. Didn't they tell you girls?
The girls mumbled as they blushed and looked away.
Twilight: Um, girls?
As soon as the crowd dispersed, the band gathered their instruments into the hypercube and walked back to their seats.
Stewie: So what did you all think?
Sunset: I think you guys sounded great.
Pinkie Pie: Me too!
Twilight: That was like one of the best songs I've ever heard.
Fluttershy: I agree.
Rainbow Dash gave a cringy smile.
Rainbow Dash: You guys... were pretty tight.
Glory: Thanks, Rainbow.
Rarity took a sip of her tea.
Rarity: So.
She placed her teacup onto the table.
Rarity: When were you going to tell us that you two were... a thing?
Glory rubbed her head.
Glory: Well... at some point where I wasn't uncomfortable. I mean, I was already embarrassed to tell your pony versions the first time. Even Akihiko was such a big wuss to tell you girls.
Everybody turned to Akihiko.
Brian: Aren't cha gonna defend yourself after that?
Akihiko: Nah, I'll let it slide. I often get that a lot.
Stewie: Chicken!
Akihiko: I also get that a lot. But enough about that.
He checked his watch.
Akihiko: It looks like only ten minutes have passed by. So what should we do now?
Glory: Well, we could entertain our friends with our flashbacks. Hey Brian, remember how great I was two weeks ago?
Brian: How can I forget?
(Flashback)
There was a freeze-frame of Glory chasing Stewie and Brian.
Glory: Gimme back my lipstick you little dickweeds! Waaaah!
Stewie and Brian: "We're tormenting yooouu"
(Reality)
The girls and Spike laughed after that.
Glory: Nonono! I was actually talking about the part after that.
Brian: Oh... Oh yeah, now I remember!
(Flashback)
It showed the same freeze-frame again.
Glory: I mean it guys, give it back to me! Waaaah!
Stewie and Brian: "We're still tormenting yooouu"
(Reality)
They laughed again.
Brian: Good times. Good times.
Glory: No Brian, I was talking about from when I saved you and Stewie from falling down the stairs.
Brian: Uhhh... no. I don't remember that part.
Glory: But I was all heroic and stuff.
Stewie: Nope. Doesn't ring a bell. But what does ring a bell is the time Brian and I stole your lipstick.
(Flashback)
It showed the freeze-frame again.
Glory: DAMN YOU BASTAAAARRDS! WAAAAH!
Stewie and Brian: "Tooormeeeent"
(Reality)
They let out a big laugh while Glory covered her eyes with her hand.
Glory: Okay, remind me why we do these cutaways again?
While everyone was laughing, Akihiko and Fluttershy let out little giggles. They then opened their eyes, only to find themselves staring at each other. Fluttershy widened her eyes and quickly turned away with a blushing look. Akihiko gave a bit of a worried look after that.
After a few minutes went by, the whole gang started walking back to the school together on the sidewalk. With Rainbow Dash in the lead, the others were behind her. On the way, Rainbow Dash showed a look of jealousy with her arms crossed.
Glory: Okay, once we defeat the Sirens, we can focus on the showcase. And here I was hoping for a band competition. When it comes down to it, we play to win.
Rainbow Dash: Uh-huh!
Applejack: I'm sure no matter what happens, we'll always stay friends.
Rainbow Dash: (Sarcasm) Sure.
Pinkie Pie: Who knows? Maybe both our bands can play together sometime. Wouldn't that be fun, Rainbow Dash?
Rainbow Dash: (Sarcasm) Oh yeah, that'd be sooo super.
Penelope: It's quite a darn shame James Charles couldn't be here. She would've been so glad to be a part of all of this.
Glory: Errrr, yeah, about that Penelope. Um... I dunno how to tell you this, but James Charles is a guy.
Penelope: What!? That's crazy!
Glory: I know.
Penelope: But she looks so fabulous.
Glory: Totally a guy.
Penelope: That's crazy!
The girls let out a chuckle.
Penelope: What about that Ross Lynch? Is she, uh-
Glory: Ross Lynch is also a guy.
Penelope: That's crazy!
They let out an even louder chuckle.
Penelope: And what about your sibling, Meg? Boy or girl?
Glory: She's a girl.
Penelope: Oh... that's crazy!
They let out a huge laugh except Rainbow Dash, who was too busy feeling jealous of Glory's band.
Penelope: Anyway, we should probably hurry up to go sign up for the showcase before this party's over... but that's crazy!
As the group laughed, Akihiko looked up ahead at them, and sighed with a smile as he shook his head.
Akihiko: Oh boy! They crack me up. Crazy.
Akihiko let out a light chuckle. He then felt a light tap on his left shoulder. He looked to his left and saw Rarity walking by his side.
Akihiko: Oh! Hey Rarity! What's up?
She let out a nervous little chuckle with pink cheeks and her hands behind her back.
Rarity: Pardon me for asking you this. I was... just wondering about something. Um... is Glory... really your... girlfriend?
She ended with an innocent smile, but Akihiko didn't smile. In that moment, he could tell that the human version of Rarity has a crush on him too.
Akihiko: Uh... yeah...! She is. We've been together for a long time.
Rarity's smile quickly turned upside-down.
Rarity: Oh!
She looked down with very gloomy eyes.
Rarity: Right!
Rarity looked away with almost teary eyes.
Rarity: I-I see.
Akihiko looked away from Rarity as he felt sorry for her. Stewie and Brian were behind Rarity and Akihiko, and they heard every word.
Stewie: "Uh-oh" "He's in trouble" "Something's come along and it's burst his bubble"
Brian: "Yeah, yeah"
Stewie: Whoa, that was pretty good, Bri.
Brian: I know. We were great.
Stewie: Totally.
Brian: We're not singing that song in the showcase, are we?
Stewie: Noooope!
Walking behind them was Fluttershy. She heard Rarity's conversation with Akihiko. Fluttershy felt so sad, she looked away and rubbed her arm as a strand of her pink hair fell down over her face.
(Canterlot High)
At the gym, everyone was keeping their distance and glaring at each other. Trixie Lulamoon spotted Twilight and the others entering the room. And as soon as they were walking toward the snack table, Trixie widened her eyes when she saw Akihiko. She had sparkles in her eyes before she quickly took out her compact makeup mirror to check her face. When the group made it to the table, Akihiko leaned his back against the closed bleachers with his arms folded.
Glory: So what do we do now? We just wait for The Dazzlings to show up so we can do our thing?
Twilight: That's pretty much the plan, Glory.
Brian: Okay. Well I guess in the meantime, we should probably sign up for the showcase.
Brian looked around the gym.
Brian: Where do we go to sign up for it anyway?
Sunset looked around.
Sunset: Um...
She pointed in one direction.
Sunset: Over there.
Glory: Ah! Come on, Brian.
Brian followed Glory to go sign up. After they left, Pinkie Pie approached Akihiko with red cheeks and a cupcake in her hands.
Pinkie Pie: Uh... ahehe... hi!
Akihiko faced Pinkie Pie with a smile.
Akihiko: Oh hey, Pinkie Pie. What's with the cupcake?
Pinkie shyly rubbed the back of her head and embarrassingly laughed. She held the cupcake with two hands again.
Pinkie Pie: Um... I sorta... made you a cupcake.
Akihiko: F-For me?
She looked away and shyly nodded.
Pinkie Pie: Mhm. You see... it's my way to meet new people I "really" like. Sooo...
She looked away as she pushed her arms forward to move the cupcake closer to Akihiko.
Pinkie Pie: I... hope you'll enjoy it.
Akihiko grabbed the cupcake and moved it close to his face. He noticed the cupcake had strands of pink hair in it. He suspected that Pinkie Pie pulled it out of her hair.
Akihiko: Thanks Pinkie. That means so much.
Pinkie Pie looked away and blushed as Akihiko took a bite out of his cupcake.
Pinkie Pie: Sooo? What do ya think?
Akihiko: Mmmm.
He swallowed.
Akihiko: Not bad. I think it's "Pinkielicious"!
Pinkie widened her eyes. She then lightly chuckled as she twirled strands of her hair around.
Pinkie Pie: Thanks! I-
She had her eyes on the plate of cookies on the table.
Pinkie Pie: Oooh! Cookies!
And with that, she started scarfing down some cookies, which caused a few cookies to roll down the table. Stewie and Penelope managed to catch two of them that fell off the table.
Stewie: There should've been a sign that says, "Beware of Pink Cookie Monster"!
Penelope started eating her cookie.
Stewie: Ugh, and somebody should consider putting her on a leash.
Meanwhile, it seemed like Flash was going to punch Snips, but he grabbed his cup of punch instead.
Flash: (Sigh) I'm gonna get more punch!
On his way, he and Twilight bumped into each other. Flash stopped her from falling by grabbing her by the waist.
Flash: Twilight?
Twilight smiled and blushed.
Twilight: Eh, bumped, into, always, doing?
They both stood up straight.
Flash: What are you doing here? You came back for the big competition, right?
She rubbed her head.
Twilight: Something like that.
Flash crossed his arms.
Flash: Huh. Not that there's gonna be any real competition. No one here wants this as bad as my band does.
Rainbow Dash spotted The Dazzlings by the door. She then took a chocolate chip from one of Pinkie Pie's cookies and threw it at Twilight's hair. Twilight felt it and swooped it off her head. She looked back at Rainbow Dash, who motioned her head to tell Twilight to look over by the door. Twilight did so and spotted The Dazzlings.
Twilight: Can you excuse me for just a minute?
Flash turned around and shrugged. Rainbow started leading everyone to The Dazzlings. Pinkie Pie snatched up lots of cookies into her hair before following the group. Meanwhile, The Dazzlings looked around the gym and saw everybody arguing with one another. Adagio then starts talking in a mocked tone.
Adagio: Oh no! No one's mingling! It's like there's some kind of underlying tension that could bubble to the surface at any minute!
Sonata: It's the fruit punch, isn't it? I knew I used too much grape juice!
Aria rolled her eyes while Adagio sighed quietly and placed her hand over her forehead.
Adagio: It's not the fruit punch! It's us.
Aria: But the punch is awful, too.
Sonata had her cup of punch in front of Aria's face.
Sonata: What do you know about good fruit punch?
Aria moved Sonata's arm away.
Aria: More than you.
Sonata smacked Aria's face.
Sonata: Do not!
Aria smacked Sonata's hair.
Aria: Do too!
Sonata fixed her hair up.
Adagio: This is just the kickoff party, girls. Imagine what a tizzy they'll be in by the time the Battle of the Bands starts.
Twilight: There isn't going to be a Battle of the Bands.
The Dazzlings widened their eyes and looked over at Twilight and her friends.
Twilight: We're gonna make sure of that.
Sunset stood on the sidelines and nodded with confidence. To her left, Twilight grabbed Glory's hand.
Twilight: Alright, everybody.
To her right, she grabbed Akihiko's hand.
Twilight: Let's do this!
Akihiko grabbed Applejack's hand, AJ grabbed Fluttershy's hand, Glory grabbed Rainbow's hand, Rainbow grabbed Rarity's hand, and Rarity grabbed Pinkie Pie's hand. Standing right in front of them were the short ones. Brian stood between Stewie and Penelope. Brian grabbed Stewie's left hand while he took Penelope's right hand.
Twilight: Friendship Is...
They all shut their eyes closed.
Twilight: ...Magiiic!
They expected to shoot out magic to defeat The Dazzlings, but nothing happened. The three girls looked at each other and Sonata shrugged. Everybody in the gym was staring at Twilight and the others. The whole situation was pretty awkward. Rainbow Dash opened her eyes and saw that nothing happened.
Rainbow Dash: Uh, weren't there rainbows and lasers and stuff last time?
Glory: Yeah, but... it appears to be not happening this time.
She turned to Twilight.
Glory: Uh, Twilight?
Twilight opened her eyes.
Glory: I don't think it's working.
Twilight looked around and saw everybody staring at them as the rest of her friends opened their eyes.
Twilight: I don't understand. We're all together again. Why isn't this working?
The Dazzlings were smirking at them before Spike climbed onto Twilight's shoulder.
Spike: You, uh... really need to go ahead and do that whole "magic of friendship" thing now.
Twilight: I'm trying, Spike. I thought all of us standing together against the sirens would bring out the magic we needed to defeat them. That's what happened before.
Adagio: Talk about throwing down the gauntlet! This group is obviously serious about winning! A little cocky though, aren't they? Claiming there won't really be a battle. Seems they think they've already got this thing all locked up.
Trixie: Not if the Great and Powerful Trrrrrixie has anything to do with it!
Flash: Whatever, Trixie! We're the best band at C.H.S.!
Apple Bloom: No! The Crusaders are gonna win!
Twilight and the others stood in the middle of the gym as everybody started arguing even more. The green mist around the room was getting absorbed into The Dazzlings pendants. Adagio then notices that Twilight and the others aren't arguing.
Adagio: I think we may have found what we're looking for. Or rather, it found us.
Aria smirked as if she knew what Adagio was talking about, but Sonata had no clue and shrugged. This forced Aria to facepalm.
Adagio: Magic! Don't you see?! Everyone else has fallen under our spell.
They spotted Twilight and the others exiting the gym.
Adagio: But not this group. These kids are special.
After Twilight and the girls left, the members of The Dark Sky Within Us stopped by the door and sent glares at The Dazzlings. The three girls widened their eyes as the band smirked at them. Stewie then looked at Glory, then back to Adagio, then back to Glory, then back to Adagio, then back to Glory.
Stewie: No homo.
Glory: No homo. Yes! I was just about to say that.
The five then left the gym.
Adagio: Hmmm. Girls, we should keep a close eye on those five. Those girls may be special, but those five are different somehow.
Sonata waved her arm around.
Sonata: Ooh! Ooh! I call dibs on the cute boy.
Adagio facepalmed while Aria rolled her eyes and shook her head. Outside the school, Twilight's friends were sitting on the steps except Pinkie Pie, who sat on the railing.
Twilight: It doesn't make any sense.
Twilight paced around.
Twilight: I should have been able to create the spark that would help us break their spell. That's how it worked before.
Sunset: But to defeat me, you drew magic from the crown I was wearing. The sirens' magic comes from their music. So maybe you have to use the same kind of magic to defeat them.
Twilight widened her eyes.
Sunset: Or... maybe not.
Twilight: No. I think you're onto something.
Sunset: Really?
Twilight: I can't believe I haven't thought of it sooner. The Dark Sky Within Us are able to transform and bring out the magic within them whenever they play music. You girls are capable of doing the same thing when you play music, right?
Applejack: Yup. Ears, tails, the whole shebang.
Twilight: So maybe the way to use that magic to defeat the sirens is by playing a musical counter-spell!
Fluttershy: You mean...
Fluttershy pulled away her hair in front of her right eye.
Fluttershy: ...like a song?
Twilight: Uh-huh. And in order to free everyone who's been exposed to the sirens' spell, we'll need them all to hear it.
All: Ahhh!
Stewie: As perfect as your plan may be, Twilight, I'm afraid it would be difficult to sing the counter-spell to one musical group at a time.
Brian: Yeah, Stewie's got a good point there. The best bet is to sing the song to where everybody is in one place.
After everybody got to thinking, Rarity gasped before standing up.
Rarity: The band competition! That's the next time we can be certain everyone will be in the same place at the same time.
Applejack: Guess the Rainbooms are the band to beat.
Rarity: And I believe you, Twilight, just became the Rainbooms' newest member.
While the girls gathered around Twilight with excitement, Sunset felt a little upset.
Rarity: (Scoff) Where are my manners?
They all turned to Sunset and The Dark Sky Within Us. Sunset's face brightened up with a little smile.
Rarity: I've never even ask if Twilight wishes to be in your band.
Sunset lowered her head with a frown as the five stood up from the steps.
Stewie: Oh, that's quite all right.
The Dark Sky Within Us started approaching the Rainbooms.
Glory: Yeah, Twilight belongs more in your band than in our band, given her long friendship with your pony counterparts.
Akihiko: We insist you become a part of the Rainbooms, Twilight.
Twilight gave a warm smile.
Twilight: Thanks guys.
Pinkie Pie popped up.
Pinkie Pie: So what do you wanna play?
She pulled out a triangle.
Pinkie Pie: Triangle?
She used it to make a ding sound before pulling out a sousaphone.
Pinkie Pie: Sousaphone?
She blew into it before pulling out a theremin.
Pinkie Pie: Theremin?
She played the theremin, which caused Stewie's eyes to widen.
Pinkie Pie: Soooo magical.
Twilight: I might take a little too long to learn how to play something with these.
She was referring to her hands.
Twilight: I'll just sing.
Rainbow Dash quickly stepped in.
Rainbow Dash: Like, as in, lead singer? Cuz that's usually my gig. This being my band and all.
Applejack: It's our band!
AJ placed her hands on Twilight's shoulders.
Applejack: And, of course, as lead singer. She's the one with the magical know-how to help us pull this thing off.
Rainbow Dash: Okay, yeah, that's cool. I'll just use this as a chance to hone my already insanely good lead guitar skills.
Twilight: It's only temporary. And we don't have to win the Battle of the Bands. We just have to perform during the first round of the competition.
Rainbow Dash: Let's get to learning that musical counter-spell!
Twilight: Well, that's just it. I don't know any.
They Awwed in disappointment.
Glory: Bummer.
Twilight: But I'm sure I could figure out how to write one.
Spike: Totally!
Spike went by Twilight feet.
Spike: Twilight can write a spell like it's nobody's business. That's pretty much how she got to become a princess in Equestria.
Penelope: My word! Seriously?
Akihiko: That's how you became a princess? By writing a spell?
Twilight: Well... technically, I helped finish a spell. And there was a little more to it than that, Spike.
Spike: Yeah, whatever.
Twilight: I've got this.
She picked up Spike.
Twilight: Come on!
Glory and Brian started following Twilight to the school.
Applejack: Where're y'all goin'?
They turned around.
Twilight: Well, last time we were here, we all spent the night in the library.
Pinkie rushed over to Twilight.
Pinkie Pie: Are you crazy?!
She squeezed Twilight and Spike in a bear hug.
Pinkie Pie: We're besties now! Slumber party at my house!
Brian: Please let her go.
Pinkie Pie did so, allowing Twilight and Spike to breathe.
Pinkie Pie: Whoops! Sorry!
Glory: Hey Stewie, you-
They all turned to Stewie, who just stood around.
Rainbow Dash: Eh, what's wrong with your brother?
Glory: I think Pinkie Pie hypnotized him with her theremin.
She got down on one knee.
Glory: Stewie, are you okay?
Stewie spoke with a monotone voice.
Stewie: Who goes there?
Glory: I'm your sister, Glory.
Stewie: Must... obey... sister Flory...
Glory: No, my name is Glory.
Stewie: Whateva...
Stewie's hypnotic vanished when he started laughing and pointing at Glory.
Stewie: Oh, I got you good.
Glory shook her head with a smirk while everybody else laughed.
Stewie: Oh, haho! I'm funny!
(Pinkie Pie's House)
In Pinkie's room, she was on her laptop. On the bed, Twilight was working on the counter-spell. Akihiko was watching Applejack, Brian, Stewie, and Rainbow Dash play video games. Fluttershy was brushing Penelope's hair. And Glory, Sunset, and Rarity were taking selfies.
Pinkie Pie: Status update: "Okie-dokie-lokie."
Rarity, Fluttershy, Sunset, and Glory got together for a selfie. After taking a selfie, they checked the photo. They noticed Spike behind them.
Glory: What the-?
Fluttershy and Sunset giggled while Rarity and Glory turned to Spike with stern looks.
Glory: Hey!
Spike looked back with a doggy biscuit in his mouth. Meanwhile, the four gamers were still playing games and it looked like Rainbow Dash and Stewie were on the verge of defeat... until Rainbow Dash slammed her hand on the game console.
Brian: WHAT!?
Stewie: HA!
Applejack: Hey! No fair. We were just about to beat y'all!
Rainbow Dash spun her controller on her finger.
Rainbow Dash: I doubt it.
They turned to Twilight.
Rainbow Dash: So, Twilight, how's that counter-spell comin'?
Twilight snapped out of her work.
Twilight: Huh?
She flipped through the pages.
Twilight: Oh, uh, good. Great!
She turned to Fluttershy.
Twilight: Thanks for letting me use your notebook, Fluttershy. I really like the song you wrote for the Rainbooms.
Fluttershy: Thanks. (Sigh) Hopefully one day, we'll get a chance to play it.
While Rainbow Dash was laughing and messing with Applejack by taking her controller, Brian and Stewie were arguing. Rarity sat on the bed next to Twilight.
Rarity: Twilight, I think I speak for all of us when I say I don't know what we would have done if you hadn't come back to help us.
Her friends nodded.
All: Uh-huh.
The doorbell rang.
Pinkie Pie: Pizza's here!
They dashed out of the room, leaving Twilight by herself. She brought herself to the side of the bed and looked at her notes. Her notes were... not so great. After she let out a sigh, Pinkie Pie came back with a pizza slice in her mouth.
Pinkie Pie: Don't you want any pizza?
Twilight nodded before Pinkie left the room. Twilight opened a drawer and placed Fluttershy's notebook inside. After closing the drawer, she began walking her way out. She stopped by the door when Glory and Akihiko were in the way. Glory carried Stewie while Akihiko carried Penelope.
Glory: These two fell asleep after eating one pepperoni.
Akihiko: And they didn't even eat one pepperoni each. They just shared one after cutting it in half.
After the two babies were put to sleep properly, Glory and Akihiko walked into the kitchen with Twilight, where their friends were eating pizza. Spike and Brian were eating slices from dog bowls, and weirdly, Pinkie Pie. Glory, Akihiko, and Twilight walked towards the table where everybody else was eating pizza.
Glory: I hope you've saved some for us.
Pinkie jumped up behind them.
Pinkie Pie: Woof. Woof.
She crouched back down and continued eating her treat.
Glory: I'll take that as a yes.
Glory grabbed a plate while Akihiko offered a plate to Twilight, who happily accepted. Akihiko noticed Sunset with her arms folded and leaning her shoulder against the fridge.
Akihiko: Hey Sunset, don't you want some pizza?
Sunset: Huh?
She turned around to face everyone.
Sunset: Oh... no! I'm...
She crossed her arms and looked away.
Sunset: ...not really that hungry.
Her friends glanced at each other before turning back to Sunset while Brian pushed a chair to the table and sat on it.
Brian: Okay, what's bugging you, Sunset?
She let out a sigh and walked to the table.
Sunset: Well...
She rested her arms on the table.
Sunset: I can't stop thinking about what a terrible person I've been. Everybody at school's been giving me a rough time because of that, and I can't really blame them after all that I've done at the Fall Formal. I tried to talk to them, but everytime I did, they turned me away. I'd want to try again, but I think I would just make things even worse.
Everybody gave sad looks before Sunset turned to Glory.
Sunset: Twilight says you're the Element of Passion, right Glory? If you were in my shoes, what would you say to change their minds?
After everybody looked at Glory, Glory looked up at the ceiling.
Glory: Hmm. Well, first off...
She looked down.
Glory: I'm not sure if we have the same shoe size.
She lifted her leg up.
Glory: I mean, have you seen my feet?
They all gave a light chuckle before Glory looked at the ceiling again.
Glory: And second of all, it depends. Having a complete stranger or someone, who used to be bad, trying to change your mind would make you think it sounds like an irritating converation. What matters are actions. They say actions speak louder than words, and they're right. You have to show them what the new Sunset Shimmer can do. Like, you can try helping them only when they really need it instead of asking if they need help. To me, that's why actions are better than words. But if you are going to rely on words alone, then they better be incredibly powerful. What you say doesn't matter near as much as what you can actually do.
Everybody else placed their heads down and let Glory's words sync in. Sunset thought back about the words Glory said to her.
Glory: Your name Sunset? I'd say it represents the ways of the old you have ended. But when the sun rises, it'll represent a new beginning for you. A chance for you to start over a new life. I'm sure it's going to take a long while for everyone to get over the old you, but it'll all be worth it.
Sunset smiled.
Sunset: You're right! I went about this the wrong way.
Glory turned to Sunset.
Sunset: I was in such a rush to have everyone know the new me when I should be taking it one step at a time.
Sunset lifted her head up.
Sunset: Thanks Glory.
Glory gave a warm smile.
Brian: Well consider all of us here as your first step. We've forgiven you for all that you've done. To be honest, compared to what you've done, Stewie and Penelope have done even worse.
They widened their eyes and turned to Brian while Glory nodded.
Glory: It's true.
Rainbow Dash: No way. Stewie and Penelope?
Rarity: I hardly find that hard to believe.
Brian crossed his arms.
Brian: Yeah, well, believe it. Ever since they were born, they were always ranting on about world domination. They even have their own secret rooms filled with military equipment and stuff. But somewhere along the way, it became natural for Stewie and Penelope to forget about their world domination plans and enjoy life normally.
Brian looked at his paw.
Brian: I guess, in some way, our personalities and our bonds seemed to grew an effect on them.
Brian faced the Rainbooms with a smile.
Brian: Same with you girls, and with your pony counterparts in Equestria. Now we're all friends with two former evil baby master minds.
The girls gave warm smiles.
Sunset: That must be nice.
Fluttershy: I can't believe two cute adorable babies could do such things.
Glory: Of course. Normal babies aren't as smart as those two. What else do you think they do, besides invent universe travel?
They thought about it.
Brian: Forget about it. That's just the gist of it. Don't think too much about the past, Sunset. Just focus more on having others see the new you. In the meantime, the rest of us can focus on defeating the Dazzlings in the Battle of the Bands.
Twilight: Brian's right. And there's little time for me to come up with the counter-spell.
They stared at Twilight, who gave an innocent smile.
Twilight: Which I'm sure won't be a problem. Plus, the other bands will give it everything they got. And we have to hold back so that we won't release any magic before the spell is ready. It will be difficult to win before we reach the Dazzlings.
Everyone looked worried, but Akihiko closed his eyes and smirked.
Akihiko: Not unless we sabotage the other bands so that we could get to the Dazzlings more quickly.
Everybody became surprised and widened their eyes before turning to Akihiko.
Glory: Wait a minute. Are you suggesting we could sabotage the other bands?
Akihiko shrugged his shoulders.
Akihiko: Yeah, so?
Glory: That's against the rules, isn't it?
Akihiko grabbed a pizza slice and pointed it at Glory.
Akihiko: Screw the rules, I have pizza!
Not even one second had passed by, and everybody fell to the floor laughing their heads off.
Brian: OH MY GOD! AHEHE!
Brian started pounding the floor.
Rainbow Dash: Screw the rules! AHAHA!
Everybody reached for the table top and pulled themselves off the floor. They were catching their breath.
Sunset: Okay... aheh... that was pretty funny!
Rarity: Whoo! Indeed. Your boyfriend is quite funny and cute, Glory.
Glory breathed out.
Glory: Yeah, he is.
She turned to Akihiko.
Glory: You were kidding, right?
Akihiko nodded.
Akihiko: Yeah. I know we can't cheat. We don't need to. It's practically two bands against one. And as long as we have the magic of friendship...
He held up a fist.
Akihiko: ...those Dazzlings won't stand a chance against us.
They all gave him warm smiles as Glory patted his back.
Glory: Well put.
She stretched her arms out and yawned.
Glory: Oh boy! This has been quite a night. We should call it in, huh?
They chatted in agreement as they exited the kitchen. Everybody but Fluttershy left the kitchen. She pulled herself off the floor and had a little giggle. She stopped giggling when she saw Akihiko walking into the room.
Akihiko: You girls go on to sleep. I forgot my watch.
He saw Fluttershy on the other side of the table.
Akihiko: Oh, hey Fluttershy. Have you seen my watch?
With widened eyes, Fluttershy let out an "Eep" before hiding behind the table. She was shaking as Akihiko made his way around the table and looked down at Fluttershy.
Akihiko: Fluttershy?
Fluttershy looked away as she picked up the watch. Without looking at Akihiko, she extended her arm behind her.
Fluttershy: Um... here you go.
Akihiko reached for his watch and grabbed it.
Akihiko: Uh... thanks.
He stared at her and could tell she's too shy. After putting his watch in his pocket, Akihiko sat down next to Fluttershy. Fluttershy knew Akihiko sat down next to her. As she blushes, she hid her face behind her knees and wrapped her arms around her legs.
Akihiko: Okay. What's your deal, anyway? You hardly said a word to me ever since I showed up in this world. You've become more scared than Stewie when he was about to ride that ferris wheel.
He looked up at the ceiling when no flashback played.
Akihiko: What? No flashback? Nothing? Nope? Okay.
He turned his attention back to Fluttershy.
Akihiko: Well anyway, what's going on with you? You've been acting kind of... more distant than the pony Fluttershy I know in Equestria. Is everything okay?
Fluttershy lifted her head up a bit and placed her hands on her knees; however she still hasn't seen Akihiko eye-to-eye.
Fluttershy: I'm sorry. I-I'm just...
Akihiko: What?
Fluttershy: ...not talking to... you know... boys.
Akihiko: You're not what?
She closed her eyes and breathed in some air through her nose.
Fluttershy: I'm not used to talking to boys.
She hid her face again behind her knees with an "Eep"!
Akihiko: Oh, that's what this is about. I thought you were crushing on me and hiding your feelings like the others, who made it so obvious.
Fluttershy's cheeks became redder.
Akihiko: Fluttershy... do you have a... crush on me or something?
She lifted her head up, revealing her eyes.
Fluttershy: Um... well... I-I...
Akihiko: You know what? Sorry I asked.
He facepalmed.
Akihiko: That was stupid.
Fluttershy: No...
She said as she placed her hands on his right shoulder, which caused her to immediately widened her eyes before retreating them back.
Fluttershy: I mean, um... I...
She sighed as she covered her eyes with her hands. Akihiko saw her sobbing in her hands.
Akihiko: Hey.
He reached for Fluttershy's hands.
Akihiko: Don't cry.
He moved her hands out of the way, revealing Fluttershy's crying face. She opened her eyes and gazed at Akihiko while tears were still falling from her eyes.
Akihiko: Listen, it's okay whether you like me or not. I promise nothing will change.
Fluttershy stood up after Akihiko, who placed his hands on her shoulders.
Akihiko: Aside from the fact that Glory's my one true love, any of you girls would've been the perfect girlfriend for me, including you Fluttershy. You're beautiful, and sweet, and one of the most kindest people I have ever met.
Fluttershy looked away, blushed, and smiled while Akihiko wiped a tear from her left eye.
Fluttershy: You...
She looked up into his eyes.
Fluttershy: ...really think so?
Akihiko nodded.
Akihiko: Mhm. I know so. And I want us to be best friends forever.
Fluttershy's eyes watered some more before she wrapped her arms around Akihiko and rested her head on him. Akihiko hugged her back. They broke off the hug and faced each other.
Fluttershy: Thanks so much, Akihiko.
She wiped a tear from her eye.
Fluttershy: That really meant so much to me.
She lowered her head and blushed.
Fluttershy: You're... really nice.
Akihiko shrugged.
Akihiko: No problem, Fluttershy. Now you know why Glory's interested in me. You see, I can be-
(Flashback)
Stewie was screaming and running from people who were trying to get him to ride the ferris wheel.
Stewie: AAAGH! AAAGH! AAAGH! YOU WILL NEVER MAKE ME RIDE THAT GIANT CHEESE WHEEL OF DEATH! AAAGH!
(Reality)
Akihiko angrily looked up at the ceiling.
Akihiko: Oh, now you guys show the flashback? What the Hell is going on up there? Oh, you guys are totally (Bleep)ing with me, aren't cha?
He widened his eyes before turning to Fluttershy. She was completely shocked. Nevertheless, she closed her eyes and giggled. Akihiko laughed with her. When they opened their eyes, they saw their hands touching each other on the table. Akihiko smiled and grabbed Fluttershy's hand. After, the two glanced at each other for a moment.
Akihiko: Come on. Let's go get some sleep.
While holding hands, Fluttershy and Akihiko were walking their way to the bedroom. On the way, Fluttershy glanced at their hands being held. Using her other hand, she touched her cheek, blushed, and smiled while a strand of her hair fell down.
(Midnight)
Some time later, while everybody was asleep, Akihiko was in the bathroom brushing his teeth.
Akihiko: Die, pizza leftovers, die! Bow down before my mighty toothbrush, or go to pizza prison.
Akihiko rinsed his mouth and spat in the sink.
Akihiko: Or you could just down the drain. Either way, you lose, bitch.
He took a towel and wiped his mouth. After opening the door, he saw Rarity, who was just about to knock on the door. They both shrieked a little by surprise upon seeing each other. They both touched their hearts as they breathe.
Rarity: Goodness. My sincerest apologies, darling.
Akihiko: Yeah, I'm sorry too. I didn't know you were there at all, Rarity.
After catching their breath, Akihiko went to the sink to wash his hands while Rarity entered and leaned against the wall.
Rarity: Whoo! That was quite the funny show you put on for us tonight. I don't think I can ever get used to that joke.
Akihiko rubbed his hands together under the running water.
Akihiko: Yeah, I have my moments. I do my best to brighten the mood when things get tough.
Rarity smiled and looked away with her eyes half closed.
Rarity: You know... Glory's really lucky to have such a charming boyfriend like yourself. I'm... actually quite jealous of her, really.
Akihiko turned off the water and started drying his hands with a towel.
Akihiko: I figured as much. The pony you in Equestria said the same thing, so it doesn't surprise me that-
When Akihiko turned around, something unexpected happened. Rarity placed her hands on Akihiko's shoulders and connected her lips with his. Akihiko was so surprised, his eyes widened. Rainbow Dash passed by rubbing her eye and yawning quietly when, all of a sudden, she became surprised to see Rarity kissing Akihiko. Rainbow quickly hid behind the wall outside the bathroom. Akihiko grabbed Rarity's shoulders and gently pushed her away from his lips.
Akihiko: Are you insane?! What the heck was that?
Rarity: Why, that was a kiss, darling.
Akihiko: I know what it was. That was completely wrong of you to do.
Rarity looked completely stunned and heartbroken. Akihiko sighed through his nose before placing his hands on Rarity's shoulders.
Akihiko: Listen, Rarity. You're a very pretty, amazing girl and all. And... I don't really mind a kiss on the hand, or forehead, or even a kiss on the cheek, but... lip-action is completely unacceptable. Glory's my girlfriend, and I love "her".
Rainbow Dash gave a straight face as she heard every word. Rarity clenched a fist over her heart.
Rarity: Oh!
She looked down with teary eyes.
Rarity: Right.
Akihiko placed his head down and sighed before heading for the door. Rarity turned to Akihiko and reached for him.
Rarity: Akihiko, wait.
Akihiko stopped by the door right next to Rainbow Dash, who had her back against the wall and her hands in her pockets.
Rarity: I... I'm...
Rarity's tears started falling out.
Rarity: I'm so sorry.
Akihiko's hands were shaking as he didn't say a word for a second.
Akihiko: Yeah... so am I.
Akihiko walked away, leaving Rarity behind with a broken heart. Rarity placed her back against the wall and slid down towards the floor. She then angled her knees up a bit.
Rarity: What have I done?
She buried her face in her hands and started crying. Outside the bathroom, Rainbow Dash gave a sad look and closed her eyes.
Back with Akihiko, he was running some kitchen sink water in his hand. He turned off the water and splashed the water in his face. He started breathing heavily with his hands on the counter. He was so angry, he used his right hand to punch the countertop.
Akihiko: Dammit! I can't believe this happened to me, and now I broke my hand! Are there no limits to my pain?
He let out a sigh before hearing somebody clearing their throat. He looked over by the entrance and saw Twilight with Fluttershy's notebook in her hands. Twilight looked at Akihiko with a bit of a sad look.
Akihiko: Twilight! How much did you hear?
Twilight: Not much! Are you okay?
Akihiko started rubbing his hand to relieve the pain.
Akihiko: I'm fine. Just a little crowded in there, I couldn't sleep.
Twilight went by the table and placed the notebook on it.
Twilight: Yeah, me neither.
They both were silent for a moment.
Akihiko: Listen, if anybody asks, I slept on the couch.
Twilight: Okay.
Akihiko began walking his way out of the kitchen until Twilight stopped him.
Twilight: Wait. Akihiko?
As soon as he stopped walking, Twilight thought back to when Akihiko kissed her hoof and asked her if she liked it. She blushed a little and looked away.
Twilight: Um...
She held her hands behind her back and shyly moved her leg on the floor.
Twilight: Akihiko, if there's anything you ever want to talk about, I-I'm hear to listen.
She shyly looked up at Akihiko.
Twilight: We are friends, aren't we?
Akihiko turned around and gave half a smile.
Akihiko: Of course we are, Twilight!
He walked towards Twilight.
Akihiko: You're one of the bestest friends I've ever had.
To Twilight's surprise, Akihiko hugged her.
Akihiko: And I'm grateful to have the princess of friendship as a friend.
Twilight gave a happy smile and hugged him back. They broke off the hug and gazed at each other. They both slightly looked away from each other before Akihiko raised his left hand.
Akihiko: Well, goodnight.
As Akihiko walks away, Twilight raised her hand and waved with a smile.
Twilight: Goodnight.
As soon as he left the kitchen, Twilight lowered her hand and looked away with a blushing smile. After some time, Twilight got to work on the counter-spell... with the pen in her mouth. After writing something down, she spat out the pen.
Twilight: No. That's not gonna work.
She started rubbing her eyes.
Sunset: Hey, Twilight.
Twilight widened her eyes and looked over by the entrance. It was Sunset.
Sunset: You're up late.
Twilight covered the pages with her arm.
Twilight: Just looking over the counter-spell. We only get one shot at this. It has to be perfect.
Sunset opened the fridge door.
Sunset: We really are lucky you're here.
Twilight: That's what everyone keeps telling me.
Sunset: Who could possibly need this much whipped cream? Must be nice to have everyone always looking to you for answers to their problems...
She spread some whipped cream onto her thumb.
Sunset: ...instead of waiting for you to cause a problem.
Twilight: Just because everyone expects something from you doesn't mean it's guaranteed to happen.
Sunset: Well, that doesn't stop them from expecting it.
Twilight: Which only makes things harder because the last thing you want to do is...
Twilight and Sunset: ...let everybody down.
The two girls looked at each other after they said the same thing and smiled. By closing the door, Sunset revealed the trio, who were breathing heavily. She screamed the second she saw them.
Brian: (Pant) (Pant) Sorry Sunset. (Pant)
Twilight: What're you three doing up so late?
They caught their breath before Glory opened a cabinet.
Brian: I just came here for some water.
Glory took out a dog bowl and placed it on the counter.
Glory: And I'm here to fix it for him.
Stewie: And I just wanted to beat Glory in a race to the kitchen.
Glory picked up Stewie and placed him on the table.
Stewie: It turned out to be a draw.
Glory walked back to the counter.
Glory: Draw my butt, Stewie.
Glory ran some water into the bowl.
Stewie: No problem. Fetch me a pen and paper so I could draw a straight line on it.
Sunset and Twilight had a laugh after that while Glory placed Brian's bowl of water on the floor. After the joke, Glory smiled, rolled her eyes, and shook her head. Brian got down and started drinking his water. After standing back up, Glory turned around. Glory, Sunset, and Stewie screamed after seeing Maud. Maud revealed a pebble between her fingers.
Maud: Boulder was hungry.
She picked out a box of crackers from the cabinet and shook the contents onto her rock. Sunset and Glory backed away until they hit the table. Maud kept feeding her rock, but the crackers fell to the floor. She walked away feeding her rock and leaving a trail of crackers behind.
Stewie: Who was that?
Twilight: I'm pretty sure that was Pinkie's sister, Maud.
Glory: She has a sister? Okay. No offense, but... she seemed... odd.
Twilight gave an assuring smile.
Twilight: Don't worry. She's not all that bad. You'll just have to get used to her.
The group smiled until Brian stood up and started sniffing something.
Brian: Ummm?
He sniffed a few more times.
Brian: What is that?
The girls smelled something too.
Glory: Ugh. Yeah.
They covered their noses.
Glory: What is that?
They slowly turned their attention to Stewie.
Sunset: Uh, Stewie? Is that... you?
Stewie felt ashamed.
Stewie: Mmm, I got scared when I saw Maud.
Brian let out a sigh and headed out.
Brian: Okay. I'm sleeping in the yard.
Glory picked Stewie up off the table.
Glory: Don't worry. I'll handle this.
She carried Stewie in front of her.
Glory: Who wants their diapie chaaanged? You want that diapie changed? Huh? You want that diapie changed?
Stewie: Yes, I do. And go easy on the baby powder, because I don't want to-
Stewie was interrupted by Glory blowing a raspberry on his tummy. This caused Stewie to laugh. Sunset and Twilight giggled because of the sibling bond.
Stewie: Stop it! Stop it! I mean it.
Glory stopped just like Stewie said before Stewie sighed.
Stewie: Stop doing that. This is serious.
Glory: Alright, alright. Let's go get you changed before you-
She blew on Stewie's stomach again, causing him to laugh. Sunset and Twilight laughed a little louder. When Glory stopped, Stewie let out a few small laughs before closing his eyes.
Glory: Aaand he out.
She turned to Twilight and Sunset.
Glory: Night, girls.
Glory started walking out of the kitchen as Sunset and Twilight waved. As soon as Glory was out of their view, the girls heard Glory blowing on Stewie's stomach again, which made him laugh again. Sunset and Twilight faced each other and laughed.
Sunset: Ya know, for a little baby genius...
Sunset crossed her arms.
Sunset: ...I think that Stewie kid is awfully cute.
Twilight: Me too! And I'm really intrigued by his intelligence. Considering that he invented a time machine and dimension travel, I think he might be even smarter than me.
Sunset: "You" admitting someone is smarter than you? Heh. That doesn't sound like the Twilight I know.
Twilight gave a light blush and looked away. Sunset covered her mouth when she yawned.
Sunset: I better get some sleep. Good luck with the counter-spell.
She started walking out.
Sunset: Not that you'll need it. This must be nothing compared with the stuff you're expected to deal with as a princess in Equestria.
Twilight looked at her notes before turning to Sunset.
Twilight: Sunset Shimmer?
Sunset looked back at Twilight. Twilight couldn't tell Sunset was she was about to say.
Twilight: ...Never mind. It's not important.
Sunset gave a smile before leaving the room.
Twilight: No, I have to be able to do this. I have to.
